Are you staying at the Park Plaza London hotel? Do you want good food? Then go to Paolo's! A few minutes' walk and you have a delicious Italian meal. Excellent hostess and host. I say do it!

Nice restaurant although felt not very good value for money.Food nice but drinks overpriced. Atmosphere didn't feel very welcoming although good service.

ENG: The food is ok but it has no identity, I can walk into most Italian restaurants abroad and it is easy to identify the chef's origin. There is better food for this high price in London including nearby (Pasta Remoli in Ealing is significantly better and serves food from Rome, for Sicilian you are better off to travel a little to Putney ;) ) Perhaps this is why this place is empty during the week as I drive past it often going home via A40 and always only two-three tables sitting at 8pm. High price and mediocre food and Coringway is an affluent stretch of road - people will pay it if the food is good. Also the staff (at least on our visit) did not speak any Italian, first time I go to an Italian restaurant in London and cannot speak my language with the staff :( No affogato, we did ask for it as many Italian places will make this for you since it is very popular in Italy but not outside however we were told no.

One of my absolute favourite Italian restaurants. The food is absolutely delicious, my favourite is calf liver and the creme brulee is to die for. The staff and owner are extremely friendly and attentive. I would absolutely highly recommend it. If you are reading this review I would urge you to go to this restaurant so you can find out for yourself why I love it.

Not been here for a long time but it was as good as I remembered. Tasty pasta, good service and I won't leave it so long to return.

During my London holiday, near the hotel I was staying in, I came across this little Italian restaurant by pure chance. We entered curious to see how Italian cuisine is served abroad. I can firmly admit that we were not at all disappointed, on the contrary, we were welcomed in the typical "Italian" welcome, and we immediately found ourselves at ease. The head waiter immediately understood that we were Italian (being Italian himself) and immediately empathized with us, offering us a good glass of prosecco as a welcome. We can say that the service was excellent. As for the dishes, as an appetizer we had a bruschettona, really excellent, served on a well decorated plate which with its play of colors recalled the Italian tricolour, a really nice thing when you think about it. We preferred not to take first and went straight to second. I ordered a fillet with green pepper and my partner a pork cutlet flavored with lemon, which I can say is sublime. That same evening my partner had a birthday and since the manager was really easy going I tried to ask if we could have a dessert with a candle, just symbolically to celebrate. Obviously enthusiastic, he immediately took action, allowing us to end the dinner on a high note. I have to admit that I went in hesitant and came out changed. As soon as I take a new holiday in London I'm sure I'll return there to have dinner. I take this opportunity to greet them and wish them good luck.

After having visited in 2022 (original review below) we decided to take another visit to Paolo’s for my daughter’s 3rd birthday meal as a last minute decision. Unfortunately we were severely disappointed, not by the food which was delicious, but by the service and the attitude of the staff. We spent close to £100 on a starter, 3 mains, 2 sides and 3 drinks, which we likely wouldn’t have minded if we were made to feel welcome, however the waiter was incredibly dismissive of our children, refusing to reciprocate a wave to my 1 year old who spent most of his meal trying. We witnessed the same waiter being incredibly friendly with other tables, but barely uttering two words to us, not even to wish our daughter happy birthday despite being around our table when we sang to her. We unfortunately won’t be returning. 2022 Review: A lovely family run restaurant, where we were made to feel very welcome. The food was delicious, and apparently before we arrived Paolo was doing card tricks with our family at the table. Will definitely be visiting again in the future!

Not as good as it used to be. How on earth Italian restaurant can serve frozen pizza…… crazy…. if you can’t make it yourself take it off the menu. The pasta with seafood also wasn’t that great. Disappointed with food quality.

We visited for lunch on a weekday. Good menu and reasonable prices. Street parking available nearby (pay by phone or app). Attentive service. Great tasting food and drink. Would return if nearby again.

We found the food to be good with large portions, good flavor, very good service. Very reasonable prices and very close to the hotel where we were staying.

Sadly this place has gone down hill. It used to be a favourite of mine. We should have known something wasn't right when we arrived just before 9:00pm on a Saturday night and it was empty. They have changed the recipe for the spare rib starter. They used to be served in a delicious tomato based sauce, but now it's some rather nondescript BBQ sauce. The lasagne had very little meat in it my veal was ok but a side portion of pasta in tomato sauce cost £6.25. The three dishes plus a bottle of wine cost nearly £100. We won't be going back.

The service is excellent. And the food is good, especially the pasta.

Service was okay, portions were much too small and you could see pizza and lasagna being taken out of the freezer and tasting accordingly. Lasagna wasn't warmed up properly inside.

It was an Italian restaurant in a remote location, but it was a pretty good restaurant 🍽️ I recommend it. The service was served by what appeared to be the owner, and the taste and atmosphere were very good. First I ordered bruschetta and minestrone. was delicious. I thought this was a hit 🎯, so I added pizza and shrimp and was satisfied. This is a highly recommended store.

its our first trip in london/UK and found this place near our hotel. even at first look at the place that you can expect a very cozy, family friendly restaurant. we were greeted with smile and felt very welcomed as if you're visiting a family's house. their food is really good and reasonably priced. we wish their business to prosper and will definitely visit this place again to our future trip. thank you so much! --- mac and family

I was fortunate enough to have dinner with my family two nights in a row. The atmosphere is great, the staff are polite and well prepared, the food is spectacular and the restaurant owner is super friendly and welcoming! I recommend the good experience to everyone!

We wanted to try something close to the hotel after a long day in the city. From the outside it doesn't really look like an Italian but we still wanted to give it a chance. If the food and wine is good, the ambience bothers us less, as we often know from southern countries. I come from Berlin and almost every Italian there has better food and even this is nothing compared to Italy. Bread is part of every appetizer there and is not charged extra at £3.50. The wine was ok but nothing special for £30. The lasagne was too small for £15 and just ok. The service was nice and we would have given more stars, but we paid £90 for everything and in the hotel I noticed that we were charged an extra £14.50 for spagetti Bolognese that we didn't order. I went back, people were surprised even though the restaurant was almost empty when we ordered. No sorry really and only gave me £14 back, hence our poor overall rating all in all…. Never again.

Such a cute little place, seems to be family run. Everyone was so kind. The food was delicious and of a sizeable portion.

We had the most amazing experience at Paolo's Italian at the start of January. I was working on a job in the local area and the team wanted to have a crew dinner to celebrate the final shoot day. After seeing fab reviews online, I decided to phone the restaurant to see if they could seat our large group for the following day. I spoke to Paolo directly and he was so accommodating, especially as it was a last minute request to feed 20 of us! There was no restriction of what we could pre-order from the menu and on arrival, the food, service and atmosphere was incredible. Considering the variety of starters and mains we requested, there was such little wait time and everything came out piping hot and full of flavour. I had the Spaghetti Al Gamberoni for my main course and it was delicious!!! The ambiance was also lovely and the staff were so attentive and great to chat to. So pleased that we found this gem of a place - we will definitely return again for a crew meal! Thanks so much again to Paolo and all the staff for welcoming our group. I couldn't recommend this place more!

We will definitely return to this wonderful restaurant. The waiter and the owner have been very pleasant and everything we have ordered was delicious. A very calm environment. I recommend the meat lasagna.

Had a meal here last week with 5 colleagues. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Food was good abeit a little on the small side. Fried scampi (8 pieces for 14.50), The only minus for me was the bread, coming from someone who spends a lot of time in Italy and LOVES bread from all over the world, I was expecting a bit more than a tesco baguette as a side :-( It states freshly baked but it wasn't, maybe you ran out of bread but I was disappointed. I think price v quality was not on par with what I was expecting. Glad we ordered starters as the main was not so filling. Best part was the crunchie cheesecake.

Very nice cosy small place, nice portions and definitely good food. The pepper steak(little expensive )was so so nice and the pasta as an appetizer was pretty nice as well. If you are at the area it is worth a try.

Went recently for a meal with a friend thinking why not cute little restaurant close to home. We had 2 pizzas and a salad. Salad was not fresh and pizzas not made on premises but bought, which is very unusual for Italian restaurant. Each was £15 so well overpriced for what it was. Will definitely not return to eat.

Siamo andati due volte in questo ristorante. Abbiamo provato diverse portate e si sono rivelate tutte all'altezza delle aspettative. Porzioni molto generose, e condimento adeguato. Il servizio è stato veloce e cordiale, Mimmo ci ha fatto sentire a casa.

While staying at a hotel nearby we found Paolo's by accident and so glad we did. Both times we dined there the service was excellent and the food was excellent as well. If we lived closer this would be our favorite go to restaurant.

I lived near this restaurant and therefore I went there for dinner with my family almost every day. I liked everything: place, food, people working there and atmosfere. It’s the restaurant of Italian food which was delicious and, what’s more important, healthy. More often I ordered lamb, ribs, diffident varieties of pasta and lasagna, salats, the dessert tiramisu. Comparing with other restaurants we’ve visited in different parts of London including its center, this restaurant has more economical prices in addition to good food. Especially I would like to note that very nice, pleasant and professional people are working at Paolo’s restaurant. Mimmo and Emily will always meet you with a kind smile and serve you a good meal making your day better. To tell the truth, my family and I didn’t even want to visit any other restaurant during our 2 weeks stay in London.

This restaurant has to be one of my favorites, if not my favorite restaurant in London. The food is just fantastic. The Spaghetti Bolognese, Garlic Bread, Lasagne, Sea Food Linguine just WOW! The Service is very attentive and friendly and we are always greeted with a big smile from the owner. The price is very reasonable and the portions are huge! Oh, and the Tiramisu is out of this world. Can’t wait to go back!

Our food was top notch, I had the calf's liver which was cooked perfectly, two of my group had steak and both were cooked exactly as they wanted, the starters were amazing and the deserts were mouth watering, it wasn't expensive and the staff were extremely caring and polite, we will definitely be returning

A cute family run restaurant, I’ve been disappointed by their pasta Alfredo a couple of times but am a big fan of their crespoline, so I’m still making my way around the menu. Considering it’s an Italian restaurant, I hoped the desserts would be a bit better and the Parmesan fresh.

Absolutely lovely Italian restaurant. We had a great time there. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We hadn't booked but had got there early, glad we did as it got busy pretty much straight away.

Stay away from the ribs, ravioli was good, mains were OK. Staff were really friendly. No candles, flowers, bread for the table or background music. They add their service charge to the bill so we didn't want to tip extra. We did have a good time though.

The spagetti bolognese missed the tomatoe sauce, it was sadly sitting in a bit of water, dry minced meat with the cheapest pasta. Did taste like a free school meal in my childhood and was way too expensive for that. Mains don't include a side, that is an extra - which would be okay if fairly priced, but no. Food is served faster than in McDonalds leaving you wonder what sort of microwaved wonder is coming out. Coffee was very good quality and service is also great, sadly ruined by the useless chef. About 4 times overpriced for what it is, sad disappointment overall, worst Italian experience by far in the UK. No joke, it is way worse than the usual wannabe italian themed UK restarants that you normally expect around London - leaving you wonder who gives 5 star for this?

The food was a touch on the mediocre side ,but only because the dishes were prepared in more of a British style than traditional Italian style. The food was still good and the staff was incredibly friendly and warm. I also loved that they serve tagliatelle (an egg based pasta) suitable for those with gluten allergies. I would definitely recommend if you're in the area.

The Staff is friendly, thats why I give 2 stars. The restaurant is kinda "worn Out". The food is as italian as the moon is the earth. It was not made with any entusiasm or any spices at all. I don't get all the good Reviews at all.

If you booking a table for 12 people, and after apetizer , starter, main and desert you are still hungry its something wrong with the restaurant. Literally no one was happy and dont want to come back. Very little portions, which means not worth the money especially when prices are not low. 18pounds for 6 little prawns and 1 leaf of lettuce is a robbery to me. Tiramisu was nice, but was the smallest portion i ever had in any italian restaurant. Big dissapointment, dont want to come back, not worth the money we have spent. For anyone who wants to go there expect to spend at least 40 pounds per person but you gonna end up hungry.

Had some expectations about this place, but its a disappointment. Some dishes not available from the menu, very small portions (3 slim slices of meat as a main doesn't look well), after starter main and dessert I was still hungry. I don't see any good reason for coming back although there are much better places in London. If you want to spend 70 pounds for 2 people dinner its no point for choosing this place. Such a shame.

A hidden Gem behind the station, lovely food, very warm and friendly Staff, we had an awesome experience.

Hmmmmm Staff very nice BUT food very average (i thought London food had got better?!). Many items not on menu, but peas (frozen?), mushrooms (canned?), creme brulee not homemade (just been unfrozen?) - very bland and average food. Maybe stick to the pasta as its an Italian after all. We didn't .

Visited this restaurant for an 18th birthday dinner for my daughter and my family. We had wonderful food, brilliant service and a fabulous atmosphere. Definitely made the experience for my daughter memorable!! Thank you and we will definitely be back.

Lovely Italian food! The staff is great, the food is delicious and it's really affordable! There are limited tables though so booking a table is advised. I really recommend going here if you are in Park Plaza Royal since it is so close by.

What an excellent find. Just round the corner from the tube station. A warm, friendly welcome; excellent food & service. We were a party of 14 & nothing was to much trouble. Would highly recommend. X

What a lovely experience at Paolo's we where suppose to visit before lockdown. Then my sister suggested as not too far so we could have Proccesco, lovely warm welcome & food was yummy with warm bread, small bowl of spaghetti to start and my Veal as a main. What makes the restaurant is the staff, they are so polite & attentive and even gave me a free desert 4 my birthday. As we booked last minute.🥰

We came across this restaurant because the hotel that we were staying in had reduced it’s menu and nothing took my fancy ... As soon as I saw this place I knew we were in for a treat, The welcome was warm and friendly , felt relaxed as soon as we sat down , the waiter was amazing, attentive and knowledgable.. I couldn’t ask for a more pleasant evening ... the food , well I have been to Italy and it’s up there with the best ... I love to support local businesses and the following week whilst in London again fir work we went again , this was even better ,, one thing is for sure I will eat here every time ... the owners and waiter are so welcoming , I take my hat off to the chef too ... can’t wait until my next visit , shame they don’t have a loyalty scheme ..see you soon 🥰
