Just had a delivery of 2 pizzas and they were awful, hardly any toppings and sauce ,in fact probably the worst takeaway pizza I've had in a long time. I would not recommend. So you've asked for specifics ,can you not read!! Hardly any toppings or sauce!! If you'd like more detail then here we go. It was cold ,burnt on the minuscule toppings that were on there, hardly any cheese ,it was supposed to be double pepperoni and you were lucky if there was a piece on each slice, it was dry ,over all it was a disaster. There's no feedback follow up to ask how my order was and that screams alarm bells. Like I said before, you used to be good ,better ingredients and all that ,but now I'd say on that performance you're probably the worst pizza chain out there. Is that enough detail for you,

ABSOLUTE FILTH. Don’t order from here. My food eventually arrived, delivered by a car that had four people in it who were all smoking. The seal on my box was broken, the car was full of cigarette smoke which meant some filthy human was smoking over my food. The box REAKED of smoke and to top it off I had items missing from my delivery. The restaurant don’t care about the poor reviews. The place wants shutting down for DREADFUL hygiene practises. Filthy, awful food joint. Avoid like the plague.

Would give 0 but there is no option. We had ordered online, but they didn’t have chicken wings so we asked for a refund and we would pay again in store. When we went to pay, she overcharged us and we noticed so we told our concern, but she said we were in the wrong even though we showed her proof. This was very unprofessional way of dealing . I don’t know how they employee, but this is very bad service. When we arrived home with the food they had gave us very cold food keep in mind we live 5 mins from the store . Overall, very bad service and staff. VERY UNSATISFYING!!!

Ordered 2XXL Pizzas and because they didn't fit in the drivers bag they decided to ram it in resulting in the pizza slices being squished all up and ontop of each other. The pizzas were stale, luke warm and not very nice. 24hrs later I am vomiting and have diarrhea. Won't be ordering again be sticking with dominoes

Awful service. Called up as couldn't order online and their response was "What do you want us to do about it?" Refused to help in any way and hung up on us. Called back, hung up again.

Please do not even waste your time. They are the most terrible service I’ve ever dealt with. Everytime I give them another chance due to craving papa John’s, I’m disappointed and on the verge of tears. They are horrible. Do not order or even pick up from them! Trust me, waste hours of my time multiple phone calls, talking to my bank about refunds and disputes. It’s too much.

Won’t be ordering from here again . Will be using other pizza 🍕 companies instead . I had a query with an online delivery order. Straight after I placed the order , I called the branch up - but no one answered. It was a while and after several attempts when someone finally answered. But by that time it was too late I was told . I did contact papa johns customer care just to raise my points to them - but did not get much response from them . Been ordering papa johns for a while - but no more now .

Romford Papa John's quality is shocking compared to the surrounding area branches Unfortunately, this Papa Johns has been on a slow and steady decline in quality. We have been ordering delivery from this Papa Johns for a couple of years now and again. Originally the food was great. However, over the past year, the quality of the food has turned woefully dreadful and my most recent order was the straw that broke the camel's back for me. Recent orders, pizzas have arrived cold and very dry, there is very little sauce and toppings, this makes the pizza overall very dry and tasteless most of the time. Items have also been missing such as additional paid dips which I've had to contact head office to get refunded. As the best the store would offer is an IOU and no guarantee that it would actually be honoured come the next order. The only reason we kept ordering was the sides were actually decent. I have noticed also that ever since Uber eats took over delivering the orders, delivery times are much longer! However, back to today's order, we got the Big Match bundle, which is two pizzas and two classic sides and a drink. As what seems the norm, the order seems to be cutting and checking for over 10 minutes on the tracking portal before it's picked up by UberEATS. On delivery the Pizzas were lukewarm and tasteless, however the real shock is when we opened the Garlic Pizza Sticks and saw how burnt and dry it was. See the attached Picture. It looks nothing like what it should do as advertised on the website. (Second attached picture) Paraphrasing Gordon Ramsay "Overcooked on the bottom/top, crispy as ****, and it looks like Gandhi’s flip flop" I cannot believe that the person "cutting & checking" the order thought this is acceptable to send out to a customer. As such I have sent a complaint to Papa John Customer service on this order and have advised for a review into this branch given drastic decline in quality. I think these issues are purely down to how this branch is run and its management. I've had Papa Johns delivered from different branches in surrounding areas and they have been much better quality then the Romford one. As an example, we ordered 10 pizzas from the Barkingside branch, and they came with 45 mins and all still hot and tasted great. A night & day difference between the Barkingside and Romford Branches. It's actually shocking how bad the Romford branch has become and it is an embarrassment to the Papa John's Franchise.

Standardable food and quantity. Proper hygienic and good staff. This branch is again getting up by New management by providing good and fresh food. Best food pizza shop in the town.

TLDR: This place is consistently good, seems to be slandered by people who had one bad experience out of 100 leading to a negative review. Unsure of the large amount of negative reviews. I regularly order from here and while the quality of the products and service has some variance as is the case with every business, I have had minimal issues with delivery times and forgotten items. The quality of the pizza has always been far above other competitors, and delivery times are much more consistent as compared to a few years ago. Price is perfectly reasonable as well, with Papa rewards giving you points that can lead up to a free large pizza.

Ordered through UberEats and food did not arrive. Rang Papa John’s and said “it’s not my responsibility since you ordered on a 3rd party app”. Very disappointed. Our dinner missing…

I used to be a huge fan of this pizza place;However, I’ve noticed a significant drop in quality lately that has left me quite disappointed. The last few times I ordered the toppings seemed less generous and not as fresh, which really affected the overall taste. Even the sauce not good enough

I am an Uber driver. When I go in the restaurant to pick my order manager behave rudely. He is unprofessional and making fun of me and force me to cancel my order and misbehave with me.

Well after paying nearly £50 for 2 pizzas I would just like to say how I felt the toppings were totally lacking!! I’ve had this deal before with no complaints but this time. What a joke. I’ll include a photo. I only asked for the black olives to be removed not all of the toppings!😂😂

The driver went to 3 different places just to deliver my order. The food was a bit cold. I was expecting a call so I can instruct the driver where to deliver but he never called. He did not bother explaining the delay when asked

Forgot stuff on my order, 23 mins late to the time I selected to have the delivery, and refused to refund me as it was too late when I returned the call. I ordered it for 7pm as I had to go out at 7:30, my order turned up at 7:23 and I had to eat it as quick as possible and then completed a 1.5HR drive. Really disappointed with this as this was my go to place to go for food. To top this all off, the garlic bread was dry and the pizza toppings were hard.

Real shame to be honest. Pizzas came and were cold aswell as the sides. Opened pizzas and was shocked at how little toppings there was, both pizzas had minimal cheese and about 1% sauce. Gave me upset stomach, would avoid! Plus very very VERY expesive for what you get.

The worst experience I have ever had !!! Stay clear of this place , they lied about home delivery when they delivered my food an hour ago, the worst burnt looking pizza I have ever seen, and honestly they felt like “what’s the problem “ in other words take or live it!!! Food arrived on time and was hot but the pizza was extremely oily as you can see by the photo I have taken of the box from said pizza. I have had papa John's many times but never from this branch, I will not be returning again, pizza should never be that greasy. Highly disappointed.

Really disappointed. Papa johns has always been my favourite pizza and never used to have any issues. They managed to forget the bbq part on my bbq chicken pizza (second time now) Pizza was tasteless and tasted like an Aldi pizza

Terrible customer service. Ordered 3 pizzas for 3 people, one with a gluten free base. They put the wrong labels on the boxes so the gluten free base was eaten not by the person it was intended for and the person who couldn't eat gluten would have eaten a non gluten free pizza had they not noticed that their pizza had toppings on it that they didn't order. When we called, they made putting the wrong labels on the pizza seem like it was no big deal, they were no help and I basically wasted my money on that pizza as there was now no gluten free pizza they could eat. This is potentially dangerous (for people with wheat/gluten allergies), disrespectful to different diet types and below the standard you would expect of a Papa Johns.

Never order from them Very poor service, first time ordered waited for more than 2hours. When I was calling to chase up they don't answer the phone but as soon as I called from different number they answered 😡. And they lied pizza is just ready now and coming in another 15min. It came in 5min but it was cold tastless pizza.i complained and they apologised and offered complimentary pizza whenever I want to order next time. But refused to provide free of charge later. Never ever waste ur money on them.

Ordered this food at 8:30pm on a Sunday, an hour went by and the tracking was still on the first step. Tried calling multiple times, no answer, after 8 calls and an hour and 20 mins had gone by. I was answered, told sorry and the food would be here in 10 mins as it was just out of the oven and left the store 5 mins ago, obviously lies as the food turned up 35 mins later! That's pretty much 2 hours to deliver a pizza! And to top the whole terrible experience off, the pizza was burnt around the crust yet cold and the extra sauce I ordered was the wrong type... This store is usually taking at least 45 mins to an hour to deliver food so is slow at the best of times, but this is the worst experience I've ever had ordering a pizza... Do not get papa johns here, order it from somewhere else or just choose another pizza place because this one is bad from start to finish.

Do not order from this restaurant. I had to wait 2 hrs for 2 pizzas. Called the restaurant after an hour since I’ve placed the order just to find out that the pizzas are just being made and they’ll be ready in 20 mins. After a further 40 mins called back and no one answered. Very bad delivery service.
