Papa John's in Sheffield

Called up after my food saying it was delivered and the person on phone was not only rude but refused to help. Driver says he knocked and called yet no calls received and no knock was ever heard, I have dogs in house if he would’ve knocked they would’ve alerted me. They asked driver to come back and deliver my food and he’s sat outside my house for 5 mins before ringing me to let me know he was here. Shocking customer service!

I ordered for delivery at 18.45. Didn't receive anything till 2030. 2 calls in between Anil and Ifira mentioned that there is traffic jam and that the driver will be reaching in 5 mins. I drove from home to the store only to be rudely told that once food has left their store it's not their problem. The cook Ifira was rude and mean. When I asked to refund my money, he mentioned he will mail it to company and it will be sent. However, neither the food arrived nor was my money given back. Absolutely avoid this store. I would give black negative stars if I could.

Really was not happy, ordered to be delivered, took over an hour to arrive then the driver stood trying to call me while talking to me, refusing to give me my food. Order bacon and cheese tots, only about 4 tiny chunks of bacon and a hand full of cheese. I ordered a chicken and bbq classic pizza, this pizza in my eyes (as no ingredients listed) would only be chicken and bbq with cheese. No it had onion, which I'm not a huge fan of, and what I'm assuming is ham all over it. This was my first and LAST time ordering from this location and I am not impressed at all. I am now having to sit and remove the toppings from my pizza, hoping there's no hidden mushroom as someone im sharing with is allergic before eating it. Would not recommend at all.

Never fail to impress. I now go atleast 3 times a week without fail

The driver was very blasé about getting the order to me. He seemed very put off that he might be expected to actually deliver the order. In the end he won and we came to him. And ironically enough, the order wasn’t right

Food never showed up, they did not deliver, they did not allow me to go and pick up, and did not even cancel the order or give a refund. Atrocious service and terrible work ethic.

Nothing special about the food. You’re just as well going to a local pizzeria for half the price. The delivery driver didn’t deliver to the door because he was smoking and made no attempt to actually get into the block - not very hygienic and a very bad first impression of the company. Won’t be using again

This new management is even worst. Pizza is soggy and the toppings are almost undetectable. But the worst part is the attitude. The rudest people ever, my goodness. Also the hygiene is very poor, they made the pizza in front of me without gloves and without washing their hands after handling the money I gave them. Also after the reopening the prices have skyrocketed and pizzas are smaller than what they declare. AVOID AT ALL COST. Business like this don’t deserve anything but failure. I’m so surprised that an important chain as papa John’s leaves in charge people like this representing their brand. Anyway none of my business anymore as I’ll never go back there.

Just got two pizzas, and there was a hair in the pizza , never going back there. Had to throw away both pizzas, disgusting, not recommended.

AVOID! An awful waste of money. Over an hour wait for a pathetic excuse for a pizza. Ignore the deals and pay more for actual food, not this rubbish.

Never really ordered from papa Johns so I decided to give it a try, but the pizza was really greasy and pretty average. Honestly, couldn't finish it, and pizza is my favourite 🥲 just gonna go to dominoes next time lol

Customer service from this place utter dog babar

Awful customer service, phoned after an hour waiting for my order, advised they made a mistake and it was on the way. Received the food 20 minutes later and the food was cold. Called back, Onkar basically called me a liar and said nothing he could do and put the phone down on me.

Ordered online, an hour later got an email saying the order has a problem, phoned up to ask - staff were condesending and rude and frankly couldn't care less. Managed to find out the order was cancelled - no attempt to retake the order. I wouldn't order from here folks.

Placed an order, took the money. Over an hour later still no pizza arrived so called up to find it closed. Have to jumo through hoops to get a refund as no one seems interested. Call to Domino’s pizza instead, it’s much better service and they don’t mess you around. There’s one on Chesterfield Road, not far from this store.

If I could give no stars I would!! Staff are so rude, ordered online money was taken from my bank then told me they couldn't find my order and they weren't processing it, asked about refund man on phone acted clueless saying he didn't know anything about online, ended up hanging up on us! AVOID

Got sent a normal cheese pizza despite ordering vegan, didn’t realise and was ill the next day as I’m lactose intolerant.

Ordered multiple pizzas and sides for collection. Decent price, decent sizes.

Seem to have changed owners. Used to be great, now they put small toppings on large base. Phone to complain and they argue that this garbage is correct.

So where do I even begin We ordered our food at 21:58 and the store closes at 23:00 and we still haven’t received our order and it’s 23:15 we have tried calling the restaurant multiple times prior to the store closing to see what’s going on with our order and they won’t answer the phone. So it looks like we are going to be paying for food we are just not going to receive. Tried to complain via the app and they say it can take up to 5 days for a reply so not only are we going to be without food we have payed for we could have to wait 5 days to hear anything back and even worse get our money back. How can this be a thing. Pay for something and don’t even have the decency to even let us know and refund us SHOCKING

The pizza is overpriced and doesn’t taste good at all they add tomato paste to a pizza I strictly said BBQ sauce ,chicken and cheese 🧀 . The worst pizza I have ever eaten I and it’s overpriced .

I ordered online from prince of Wales road (Sheffield) After an 1hr our food had not arrived, I phoned to see where my food was. The guy answering the phone said I had phoned the wrong papa johns, to which I apologised and re checked the number. After checking multiple times I realised I had phone the right number so I phoned again and they ignored my calls for more than 5 mins. Our food then arrived 1hr and 20min after ordering and was stone cold.

Dismal from start to finish. After 1 hour and 20 minutes the app said our food had been delivered…. It hadn’t So we rang the shop to be met by a rude man who barked at us to tell us the address twice. Once he finally got the address he just said well why are you calling… leading us to explain we were still pizza-less. It’s on it’s way is all we got before he hung up. Another half an hour later (bare in mind the shop is 10 min away) the food finally got delivered cold and stale. Even the microwave could not revive the carcass of what once were nice pizza’s. Just not worth it at all Would have been better off putting cheese and sauce on some cardboard and called it a day

Careless customer support! Rotten dips! Pizza sauce it was rotten with a sour taste, fizzy texture and a bad smell. Called them and they said "sauce is fresh". Refused to give me supervisor, refused to get back the sauce to see that is realy spoiled. Refused refund.

Ordered for family of 3, 2 lage pizzas, with garlic bread and potatoes tots on side. Pizzas were fully loaded, so tasty and garlic bread comes in strips and are soft and chewy...my 5 yr old loves a slice of pizza, garlic bread and done potatoes tots and so do we. Can be pricey but I always use a deal so it balances out. Would definately recommend...excellent vegi options for my partner too...jackfruit pepperoni which is something a bit different for him.

Ordered in advance. Pizza ready on time. Staff were polite and friendly. Place was clean but best of all the pizzas were delicious. Collection price reasonable but price to order online was ridiculously expensive. (26.50 collect v 47.60 delivered!)

Horrible. I could barely hear the staff member speaking and he started yelling at me and shouting and asking me why am i not giving the correct information when i gave him what he asked for. Terrible staff service.

Never order online from Papa John's. They double charged me and despite promising a refund have not refunded me. Customer services are completely unhelpful. This has been going on for weeks. They keep telling me the refund will be sent but it never is. Do not order online. From reading SM comments this happens a lot.

Good pizza and if you use the deals the prices are reasonable

During the Christmas period I had a friend staying with me when his ring doorbell went off. After explaining to the driver that clearly some kids was playing a childish and immature prank the driver proceeded to attempt to break down his door whilst issuing threats that some (due to Google's policies his chosen words will be left unquoted) is paying for the order. Again my friend tried politely explaining it wasn't him that had ordered and he was away. After the threats and the attempted break in got out of hand I took the phone and told the guy in no uncertain terms that he needed to calm down, my friend had not ordered, and we was not paying for it, his threats to a disabled person (which by the signs and adaptions to the home he already knew it was a highly vulnerable persons home) was completely uncalled for. And if he didn't stop commitng criminal damage the police would be called, he finally after time left. I called the store and eventually the manager answered and I tried to explain the situation and what the driver had done and how serious this incident was. To discover it was the manager who had been at his door. He then decided to issue me threats, take my mobile number and make numerous inappropriate and harrassing phone calls to me. Why he felt he could use his personal non work number and call me out of hours I will never know. This treatment towards a disabled person is disgraceful. I want a moment to urge anyone who needs it to seek mental health support from their local services as soon as possible. It's okay and there's no shame in it. Unlike in this instance with the aggression towards an innocent disabled person,T there incidentis definitely shame in that. This has been reported. I would highly recommend NOT ordering from this store.

Delivery took 1hr 30mins, pizzas cold. Pizzas poorly cut and had to cut myself. BBQ chicken pizza had no BBQ sauce on it whatsoever and tasted like as bland as a cheese and tomato pizza. No apologies from staff member who we rang up or delivery driver for food delivered late. I will never order from here again and I’ll stick to Dominos pizza.

Pizza and garlic bred was so cold and so chewy we actually gave up halfway through because it was starting to hurt eating it! Also wasnt cut through properly so ended uo tearing random bits off instead of slices... Also sent Pepsi max when I asked for cherry... forgot our dipping sauce...the vegan hotdog pizza had about 10 sausage pieces on it some slices didn't have any... ended up ordering by phone as the website wasn't working properly. Won't order again 🤷🏻‍♀️

Ordered double premium pepperoni and got pineapple and chicken! Also ordered Pepsi max bottle and got Pepsi! The stickers on the pizza box was correct at least. How can u cook the wrong pizza? Rubbish had enough of their mistakes over the last year.edit 28th Nov 19 just ordered pizzas and a Pepsi max, got Pepsi again! We don't drink Pepsi or any full sugar drinks! Ffs

2 pizza orders in as many months. 1st order comes completely wrong. We order double pepperoni and we get cheese and tomato. Area manager sorted this for us when I spoke to him and following pizza was free of charge. Tonight we order 2 pizzas 2 sides and a drink. We got 1 pizza out of the 2. Driver says he will pop back and pick it up. Half hour later I speak to the manager of the shop who blamed the driver saying he forgot to pick up the pizza. Although orders are usually all boxed together to go. Manger then asked what I wanted him to do about it. I tried to tell him I wanted to know what had happened and why it had gone wrong again. He said it hadn't gone wrong. I said it clearly had otherwise we would be eating our meal together as a family. He offered to resend the whole meal from scratch which I said was again no point as we had eaten. it was my husband who was still waiting for his and the side orders were now freezing cold and he couldn't eat them with his meal. Again I was asked what I wanted him to do. A simple I am sorry would have been quite sufficient but not once was the word sorry ever said.

I like Papa John's pizza they are v nice, a bit expensive but if you get them on a deal then it's cheaper and it tastes better 😁

Ordered online but when order arrived we were told an item was not in stock. We were told to ring up for a refund but the guy in store said he was not able to refund us. We still have not recieved refund 2 months later!!

Order arrived 30 minutes before stated time but Peppers Onions and mushrooms were raw and I had to put wedges in the oven to actually cook as they were also raw...would rather had waited the 30 mins and had cooked food!!

Just ordered from here it was shocking and wasn't worth the near 40 quid we spent it was stone cold and the wedges that cost 4 QUID wasn't even cooked they was rock hard! The sides are ridiculously over priced for what you get! Never again.

The first time I never received my order. Ordered it at 11pm and waited an hour to find it was never coming. Order confirmation and money taken through just eat. Must have not been bothered to make it because when I rung up. A rude immature girl answered saying the order was ordered to late (they shut at 12 bare in mind). Run by immature students who take no care in what they are doing by the look of things. So I thought I'd give them the benefit of the doubt and order again. Hoping the quality of there food redeems them. Well have I ever!!... Ordered some wedges at £5. They wernt even cooked. Raw!!! Pizza wasn't anything special. To say it's one of the most expensive takeaways. Never again. One word of advise. Either get your finger out or sack the dead beat. The place won't last long at this rate. I was going to ring last night to say the chips were not cooked. Wasn't worth my time when the staff are unapproachable and rude.

Whilst I enjoyed the food to some degree, there was a weird sweetness to the pizza base and garlic bread. It was as if it had been dipped in syrup!!

No option for extra tomato sauce online, called them and the we're as rude as can be...

Toppings not enough for a xxl pizza

Several issues with my order and the quality of customer service given. 1. I spent £25 and you forgot my garlic knots - the best part of the entire order. 2. When I spoke to the driver he shrugged and said he didn’t know so I showed the order on my phone - he asked if I wanted it now or next time. I asked for them now. 3. I called the store 30 minutes later to be told that the driver hadn’t told anyone and they’d have to check with him. 4. 30 minutes later they were delivered but the store on prince of whales road continued to call for 10 more minutes to say the driver was waiting. Overall, poor customer service and rude employees tainted my experience tonight.

Thought I’d give papa johns a try for the first time tonight.. spent £25 here, pizza was OK, ordered a cheesy garlic bread but the taste was over powered by cheap butter? Never received our large bottle of coke which we payed for so had to drink water! Wedges were also cold in the middle and hard... RAW! I knew I should’ve ordered dominos.. they never let me down! Won’t bother with here again.

Best pizza shop ....in shiefield

Twice I've ordered from here and both times pizzas took an hour to arrive (first time I was waiting a hour and half). On both occasions called to be advised my pizza would arrive any minute before being rushed off the phone. Pizzas were nice although first time was a little cold, second time round there was an improvement. Cookie pieces were lovely! I'm not saying that I won't order from here again but next time i'll make sure that I call well in advance!

Well where do I start ..... Placed an order and waited for an hour and half. No order. Went on just eat said It was delivered. Called papa John's..... oh we have not had an order u need to call just eat. After saying he cam call I called back 15 mins later. He said they had the address for 62 not 52 ! I swore blind we had put the correct address in and they told me to take it up with just eat. I said I wanted to place an order as I was starving !!!! He said are you paying over the phone. I said yes. He cheekily said good because we don't want you not paying !!!! Fuming and starving I told him he could forget it. Called just eat . They said it was the right address !!!!!! The right address !!!!! They got confused and was willing to send me my order. Of course I declined due to ordering from dominos in the mean time while they messed about. Don't order from them. They are so rude... don't accept responsibility and don't have the balls to apologise. Not to mention their attitude stinks !

I generally never leave feedback however found the the entire experience an absolute disgrace. From website and app issues to having someone on the phone be condescending and Rude. This is totally unacceptable and decided to go somewhere else in the end. I do hope this review as well as other reviews on here deter potential customers from going to this pizza take away. Disgusting Service!

Nothing special personally think Dominos is better so prob will not visit again, pizza was really oily, wedges were barely warm.

Very bad experience from this place and disappointed because im an American living in Sheffield who was at first excited to order from my favorite pizza place like back in the U.S. My wife and i just ordered two large pizzas that turned up cold and soggy which was delivered by not only one rude and aggressive delivery driver but two aggressive rude delivery drivers who showed up at the wrong entrance to our building. The blonde delivery woman was loud and obnoxious while the male delivery driver went on a rant ruining their chance of tip from me, as well as demonstrating the worst customer service i have seen. Will never order from this place again im not only put off by the horrible delivery drivers and their lack of customer service and people skills but the food was really disappointing and nothing like the real Papa John's pizza, was like the poor mans reject of a knockoff sold in the freezer section and then defrosted for sale and are not even worthy of the Famous title. Ive eatin at numerous Papa Johns back in the states and this is not close, if i could give this place a negative 5 i would. Papa John would be ashamed. Stay away from this place at all cost!!

Shockingly nasty and aggressive delivery drivers. Below average food and expensive. I have complained to Head Office I'm that annoyed at the delivery drivers aggressive behaviour. Do not waste your money here

We ordered pizza at 7.48. It came over 45 mins later and it was cold, stone cold! We didn't send it back as more than 2 slices were bitten into (4 people eating, so could not send back as part of quality guarantee). However very disappointed.

Very friendly staff. Very understanding when collecting a Pizza my ex girlfriend tried to order using my PayPal account.

Ordered a few pizza's and sides a couple of weeks ago one of the pizza's was wrong phoned up told could have a free pizza next time, just phoned up today told not on system so can't do anything about it really like the pizza but won't be ordering from them again

We ordered a pizza, it took over an hour. Then were told it had been delivered to the wrong address. An Indian gentleman on the phone offered us a free pizza next time we ordered as a way of an apology & he would put a note on our 'account' We have just gone to order our free pizza but they flat refused as there was nothing in the system! Disgusting! We love Papa Johns but the staff/manager at this particular branch let the whole brand down! Rubbish customer service!
