Papa Johns in Barking and Dagenham

Be VERY VERY careful if you have allergies. Tried to kill me last night smothering a pizza in something I'm allergic to. Several notes for the kitchen but still arrived covered. Thank god I could see it before I took a bite. Straight in the bin, never taking the risk again.

Pizza completely undercooked almost raw dough. Missing bbq drizzle again happens everytime. I love papa johns but never order from this place they are guaranteed every time to ruin your food. Literally every time I’ve ordered from this one it has been ruined or something forgotten etc. fire all the staff!

Good food and is also staff was very nice they treat customers very well and provide fast service with tasty meals feels great visiting them

This shop should be shut down. The level of customer service is appalling. Also they need to have people on the phone that speak English. I found it very hard communicating with the restaurant staff and they ended up hanging the phone up on me

This place saved my love for pizza friendly staff excellent food now that papa John's has closed next door I just pray they don't hire any of the staff from there because they are the reason it's gone down hill rude people horrible food

One of the best pizza places around!!! Ordered two pizzas that were absolutely delicious, the staff was very friendly and got some cake for dessert for free which was a wonderful surprise. Highly recommend!!!

Pizza was nice but cheese was a bit undercooked, the temperature of the pizza was comparable to the surface of the sun though, service with a smile would be nice, smile more.

I ordered my food an hour ago online and they never baked or delivered it. I have called the store multiple times now and I've had no answer and my calls have been hung up on too.

Popped in to get my aunt a small Hawaiian pizza but the guy serving told me that he will do me a large one for 9.99 as the deal is if you collect your pizza it's the same price as a small one. I was pleasantly surprised and it took less than 15 minutes, thank you.

Can’t believe how quickly it arrived and delicious!

Order 2 different pizza both were very oily non healthy and call the office to complain staff and the manager are very unprofessional. I wouldn't recommend.

I went to food and wine to get a pack of fags turned around on my bicycle to be met with a delivery driver doing about 10 to 15 mph on he's pedal and pop ad near hit me I phoned up the store when the manager was very rude and told me I'm lying I can get proof of this with the shop I went into has cctv outside and he called me a liar and further more qhen they first opened Mr and my Mrs went to get pizza and we saw one colleague wipe he's nose with he's hands and went on to assemble the pizza for someone else no hair nets or beard nets are worn and they are very very rude to customers and know 3 days on I have the cctv know I'm gonna take this further so much for me being a liar

Staff overcharged me, was rectified with a cash refund but was still paying more than I should have, service was long and the store disorganised. No beard/hair nets worn

If I can put no stars I would placed an order. An hour and 10 mins later I call the restaurant and they say 15 to 20 mins. An extra 30 mins go by and I get told 25mins and I live 5 mins down the road poor customer service telephone skills bad attitude made me very late for work and I still haven’t had food

Ordered a pizza and 2 sides at 11:46 a.m. arrived at 13:16 p.m. No updates had to call twice myself. Received cold food.

I pre ordered a pizza from Papa John's in Dagenham to be delivered at 5pm. It turned up at 4.15. I don't mind it being a bit early but 45 minutes is ridiculous. When I opened the box the pizza was stone cold . I checked their complaints procedure and they have a "no refund" policy. I won't be using this company ever again and advise anyone else not to.

First time I’d ordered from here , food arrived promptly and was still hot ! I had ordered the meaty pizza, unfortunately the toppings were very sparse , lots of plain dough ! This would have been perfect if there was more toppings

Nothing like pizza,very bad taste

Pizza is always good, but tonight did not enjoy. Pizza had bbq sauce instead of original tomato sauce, it ruined the pizza as I did not ask for this, it was truly horrible. Very disappointed.

I have to say I was a little disappointed today with the efficiency of my order. I ordered and submitted my order at 12.30 pm requesting delivery for 6pm and received an email to say my order would be delivered at 6.30pm - so didn't quite understand why it needed 6 hours but thought perhaps it would arrive nearer 6pm but it arrived at 6.40. On arrival food was warm and to the usual standard was just disappointed with delivery time.

Although the pizza was delivered earlier it was squashed to one side of the box and the stuffed crust was burnt all around the edges. Usually the pizza from Papa Johns is really good. But tonight was not the night I guess

I normally order from this store around once a week. A few weeks ago I ordered my usual pizza deal with sides spending around £33. I always order garlic and herb dip, call me petty but for me I only eat my pizza with these dips (this is even the case when I cook pizza at home, for me it’s the only way to eat pizza!). In the past my dips have been left out so now my delivery note states clearly “please ensure all my dips are present before delivering”. Low and behold my delivery came and the dips were left out, I immediately called the store and spoke to the manager on duty “Sam”, he was from the get go very confrontational and rather than apologise and say he’d send them over he berated me and got quite defensive blaming the driver. He even went so far to pretend the driver was there and shouting at him (there is no way the driver could have got back to the store in that time). He eventually said he’d send the dips over, my partner in the meantime started to eat his pizza. He chose stuffed crust and I have honestly never seen such a sorry pizza in my life! It was spongy and soggy, almost like it had been microwaved. Needless to say he did not eat it, my pizza was fine but by the time my dips came and having my other half disappointed with his our appetite was ruined and we left near on all our pizza. Fast forward to today, my daughter and I decided to order pizza. I ordered online and awaited my order, after time was getting on I launched the tracker only to have the message that my pizza was CANCELLED! I called the store and the same Sam answered, his excuse was that I was rude and called him names.. what rubbish. He was rude, unprofessional and downright confrontational in my initial complaint. I will now be taking my complaint further to head office, I was intending to do so beforehand and only wish I did but with Covid-19 and offices on shutdown I left it. They will be hearing from me first thing!

Asked them for NO PORK, the whole pizza full of pork! Phoned the restaurant an wouldn’t offer to change the pizza or refund.

Pizzas were amazing, just enough tomato base, unlike competitors. Plenty of toppings, an all round perfect bite every time. And had to try choc swirls. O.M.G its a must.

Wont order again from here. I dont understand how an original base pizza or stuff crust too both came on a base that was thinner than paper....sauce on pizza tasted weird too. Over priced and not enjoyable.

They forgot to add mushrooms on Margarita pizza, but of course they charge me.

I was told my food would be delivered at 8.30pm. At 8.45pm I rang the restaurant, my order had still not left the restaurant, they apologised but a free side order / soft drink would have been a nice gesture. The delivery driver turned up, no apology no smile, just a plain grunt!!! However, the food was good. shame about the lousy service.

Was disappointed with my order wasn’t that hot and the potato wedges were stuck to the paper so much I couldn’t get them off and had to throw them away

Missing an item from order however was expected to pay for the order before it had been completed, so I said no and forced them to bring the missing item before paying. Simple really check the orders right before leaving the restaurant.

I'm always satisfied with the food I get from the Papa John's in dagenham. Good quality great taste and prompt delivery. They always get my order right compared to other branches. Tip: try the garlic cheese sticks!

Order I placed one item was wrong the restaurant when contacted were very appaling when explained an item was wrong of which I was told I was wrong and they were right because they were now closing ... brilliant customer service right there !! later speaking to just eat online it was confirmed they were wrong and wouldn't refund the difference in price to what I had received definitely will be losing a customer which orders regularly from them absolute shambles on the way they speak with paying customers, even the 1 star is generous as I can't put none

ordered a pizza where sizes were not mentioned so I thought £13.00 pizza would me the big one and shocked when received tiny pizza. Not satisfied with first order.

Papa John's never fails with their food. Staff are friendly and food is always good and hot. Delivery is always on time or a few minutes early. Tastiest place.

I often buy from Papa John's pizza because e my kids love it, however, this last time I have ordered the pizza came a bit dry and no cheese really bit I could not even taste the cheese. however, they good but not as good as they normally do.

Did not disappoint! Pizza looked and tasted delicious and the wedges too!

My only complaint is the drivers can never find the way into my block of flats, there satnavs take them to the back of the block, they don’t seem to have the common sense to walk to the front and press the intercom

Papa Johns pizzas are the best

Atrocious... food is ok but not worth the price... They added 10mins to the delivery time then turned up 15mins early... pointless.! Food was missing and despite the confirmation email stating if something is missing ring Papa Johns who'll be happy to help... they absolutely were not... after rudely argueing that nothing was missing with raised voice they then said it wasnt their problem and said it was down to just eat... totally unsatisfactory.! Also had to grade at least one star for service or wouldnt let me submit review... one star that they do not deserve...

The wedges were soggy and disgusting. The pizza was mostly tomato based couldn't even taste all the different meats on it. Way to much sauce!! The wings were the only thing eatable. Won't be ordering again anytime soon.
