I really can not fault this takeaway. I personally have tried nearly all the takeaways in the Acomb and surrounding area and this by far is the best. Food is perfectly cooked and portion size is great. Delivery has never been late and the delivery drivers are friendly.

We usually avoid takeaway pizza because it gets cold and soggy too quickly. Tonight we ordered from Papasito as it is close and we could collect. Really good pizza with generous toppings. The veggie one was particularly good . Not sure what their delivery is like, but collection was timed perfectly, even on a Friday.

Bishopthorpe RoadWe had a great dinner here, the menu was brilliant, the highlight an awesome gnocchi with truffle dish, but everything was so tasty. Drinks also spot on. We’ll definitely come back!

6 JubbergateWe were in York recently for a family celebration, with our dog. We went to one pub which advertised they were dog friendly, but it was only in a small area, which was full with people who didn't have pets with them. There were 7 of us and weren't interested in accommodating us. So we moved on and came across The Market Cat. They were fairly busy downstairs, but have 2 other floors & we were told we were very welcome to go up there so we could all be accommodated comfortably. I'm so glad we did! The pizzas were excellent, the staff wonderful and so were the views over the Shambles market. We spent a while there enjoying our family celebration. We also enjoyed trying the lovely local ales. Thank you once again The Market Cat!! We will definitely be back if we find ourselves in York again.
