I ordered a fish and chips and it was top quality, golden and crispy. Amazing staff, amazing food and drink, amazing customer service. 100% recommend this cafe/take away

Whenever we are in Bollington, we always visit Pappas. Their food is excellent, service spot on. Last night they did not disappoint. We both had mixed kebabs, wonderful. Thanks to Pappa's staff. See you next time we are in the area.

This is just the best place in the area, I travel from Macclesfield to come here for the Gluten Free fish and chips when it’s the GF nights (which is often). The fish batter is to die for and they don’t charge extra for GF!! They go to the effort to be safe for celiacs with separate fryers and do GF gravy. Having not had fish and chips in years I just think they are the best!

The best chicken kebab Ive had! Great service, fast and served piping hot. Chilli sauce is amazing. Will definitely return!

We really enjoyed our takeaway this evening. Service was fast and friendly despite it being very busy. Large portion sizes for the fish and chips, our kids loved the chunky white flakes of fish and crispy batter. Gluten-free batter available certain days, which is hard to find in and around Macclesfield. Döner kebabs really tasty. Under new management and clearly thriving. Will definitely return and highly recommend!

We had takeaway from pappa’s last night. I had fish and chips and mushy peas, it was delicious and very reasonably priced. New owner was very polite too. We will definitely be going there again.

Under new management from TONIGHT with a new menu. Sadi’s spin on traditional take-away classics already going down well with locals, judging by the footfall. Nicely refreshed dining room and serving area. I had a lovely fresh chicken kebab at a very reasonable £6.50. Recommended.

Didn’t want to pay the extortionate prices of where we were staying so took a trip out to the close by Town of Bollington. Found Pappas that is a fish n chip shop and Greek takeaway with a few dining tables. Delightful staff and owners, good honest home cooked food ( Greek specialty), well presented and served with a smile. Basic surroundings, but the food and friendliness of staff more than made up for it. We will definitely eat there again.

Souvlaki and rice was really nice, service was friendly and fast, would definitely recommend.

Just had a takeaway from Pappas and it was one of the best I've had. The chips and curry were outstanding as was my husbands large Doner with hot spicy sauce.

We have just eaten the most delicious fish and chips from this place. It's the first time we have been and we will definitely be back. Quality fish, solid and big with very tasty flavored batter chips tasty no dreg ends. Friendly staff and also a little dining room behind the shop if you want to eat inside . A very good find. By far the best chippy for miles around. A really friendly welcome for either eat in or take away. The Greek Cypriot family owned business also serves an excellent array of traditional Greek food.

By far the worst chippy on earth, well over priced and looks like the sausage hasn't been cooked at all.

This family run business is an excellent example of how a food business should be run. The establishment is very clean, the staff are very friendly & accommodating & the food is superb either eating in or take away & reasonably priced. There is parking either outside or in the car park just across the road.

Abosulute joke. 16 quid for pitta bread 4 cubes of lamb, a ridiculous amount of salad. Another pitta bread. More salad. And a mushy pea tub full of rancid taramasalata. Was expecting so much more. Very disappointed.

Over 20 pound spent on 2 pitta breads. Salad. 4 cubes of lamb. More salad. A tub of taramasalata. More salad and 3 cold pieces of haloumi. Shocking value for money. Dont fall for the pictures online. They should be wearing dick turpin masks. Lamb was tough and cold like the rest of it. Warmest part of the meal was the lady behind the desk. I'd only ever go in again to ask her where she recommends to eat.

Bought pie chips and curry sauce Pie was cheep and nasty curry sauce was not very nice and ruined any chance for the chips Also bought a can of coke wich was from a multi pack wich should not be sold separately would not recommend

Is there not a way of giving 0 stars! Went into Papas about 20:30 this evening, ordered basics - 2 chips 2 peas 2 gravy. Was glad to wait 5mins for chips, as then they’d be fresh & hot. Glad to see that the peas and gravy were dished up when the chips were ready rather than to be left out waiting. Got home in 2mins eager for our chippy tea. Chips & gravy were lukewarm and peas were cold… actually fridge temperature cold. All for £12. Beyond disappointing, no where near good enough. Will travel out to get to a decent chippy next time. Won’t be returning to Pappas. :(

It would be good if you changed the details on the web it says open from 5 to 9 but when we arrived after waiting an age in the traffic lights and got to the shop a notice said closed for holidays!!

Great food and not to expensive

Staying in Bollington and looked for a nice chippy, found Pappa's, went in and ordered food, staff very nice and courteous, you can eat in here so we sat in and ate our food, very tasty chips, jumbo sausage and chicken nuggets, very pleasent place to eat, very clean, and again have to say how polite and courteous the staff were, well worth going too, would recommend them.

Miss this place, great to see Charlie and some old pals again. Call in you will not be disappointed.

Bit disappointed at portion size for £9 small peice of steak in small pita bread I was very hungry too much salad not enough meat.

Ordered several Greek/Cypriot dishes in advance for some friends coming round. Every single dish we had was fabulous. We all enjoyed it very much and I will definitely do this again when friends are visiting.

Tasty grub at a tasty price! Had a bacon and egg sandwich this morning and a small chicken kebab this afternoon, absolutely delicious.

Popped in for Saturday night fish and chips. Brilliant welcoming staff, exceptional (East Cheshire five star rated) food hygiene. These people really care about their customers and their business. Short weight, as food was freshly fried, so wasn't sitting round in a warmer like most places. Food generous portion and reasonably priced. Batter was crisp on good quality fish and chips were well cooked. Thank you, I'll definitely be back.

For the new shott menu Pappas still offer a great selection of choices, I personally recommend the mixed kebab. 5 Stars from myself.

Ordered a chicken kebab. Meat was a bit bland and salad was chopped thick like your dad does when he's been forced to make it. Highlight was finding a curly black hair in the pitta. I'm blonde so wasn't me. When I find the picture of it, I'll post it up. Pretty grim.

Loved my food, very tasty, never had a problem, very friendly staff and clean shop.

This is the the best kebab and fish and chips shop in the area. You can also find the best Greek Cypriot food here and has a small restaurant inside too. They have no licence so soft drinks only. Papa and his wife are always friendly and helpful. I would recommend the Mediterranean chicken kebab but there plenty more tasty authentic dishes to choose from. Definitely worth a visit.

My and my Partner visited this place on our 2 nights break in Bollington. Before we have ordered food the owner gave us tray of chips for free as a welcome. :) food portions are really big. And staff very friendly. If you don't wanna spend a lot and eat good this place is very good.

Great find, a chippy at the front and a proper greek cafe behind. Mine was a quick lunch visit and I was very impressed with the fish, a few taster chips were added to my order, next time I'm in the area I'll be back having being made so welcome on my first visit recommended

I visit here every week with my daughter. I have the Donner kebab and she "forces down" at least a portion of large chips. Get food, great value and wonderful service. You even get a fe taster chips whilst you wait.

Great for fish and chips and a Donna kebab. Also we are often given a few sneaky chips whilst we wait.

Lovely. Just dropped in while looking for a takeaway. Ended up staying to eat in Sheftalia were fabulous and Fish and chips amazing. Wished we had a Papa's by us.

I don't like leaving bad reviews especially for local business who you want to do well but I have to be honest and I wouldn't eat here again. The fish and chips were not great, fish was ok but how can you get chips wrong. They tasted really odd and almost as though fried in dirty oil or something and the texture was not good. I can't comment on the traditions Greek food which from a Greek family I would imagine it is pretty good but just a shame they advertise fish and chips. Sorry and we were disappointed.

I've been here for a takeaway a couple of times before- the chicken kebabs have been really well-flavoured and generously portioned. After gloating to my partner about how wonderful and authentic the food is, I dragged him in for a kebab, and it was SO disappointing. We each paid £4.50 for what I thought was going to be a lovely kebab, but what we got was a small pitta with salad and 4 small chunks of plain, bland grilled chicken inside. Not only was the visit a waste of my time and money, it made me out to be a complete liar! I want to know why one week I visit and get traditional Greek souvlaki, and the next a few breadcrumbs short of a nugget?! I don't know what went wrong because I ordered exactly the same thing as I've previously enjoyed. Sorry for the negative review but this meal was beyond disappointing.

Don't be deceived by the exterior. At the front it's a takeaway but there is a super little cafe at the rear, serving good greek food. We had a very enjoyable evening.
