4.5 stars! Great afternoon tea experience Our table was in corner by fire exit/bar but otherwise fab. Excellent friendly service from our waitress (irina?) refillable sandwiches/tea/scones. She made sure we got a nice photo. Didn’t feel rushed. Food lovely- some of the cakes not to my personal flavour palate but all very nice and lovely to look at too! Good vegetarian selection. Easy to find, nice toilets, not cheap but not outrageous compared to lots of other offerings. Would recommend

The atmosphere and place is beyond average. Burger is not good however the Club sandwich was good. Very overpriced, they charge you 80 pounds for just sitting excluding food!! Which is verrry exploitative!! And that very unacceptable. Service is very bad as well. One star is even too much for them.

My Experience at Park Room Restaurant with Manager Lior I would like to share a personal experience during my recent visit to your restaurant. I have been a regular visitor to this place and have always enjoyed sitting at a specific table, which has become an integral part of my pleasant experiences with you. During my third visit, I was accompanied by two friends, and we noticed that the table I am accustomed to sitting at was vacant. I headed toward it, but Manager Lior stopped me and told me it was not allowed to sit there. I explained that I preferred that particular table and that our group consisted of only three people, while the table accommodates four. However, he insisted on directing us to another table, claiming that it was reserved for a “large group.” Surprisingly, I sat for nearly an hour, and no one came to occupy that table. I was deeply disappointed by the lack of understanding and flexibility displayed by the manager, which gave me the impression that the comfort of loyal customers is not a priority. I write this with all due respect, but I express my deep dissatisfaction with this experience. I hope you will take my feedback into consideration to improve the customer experience in the future. Amazing experience from start to finish. We had afternoon tea with our 18month old boy and the staff were extremely attentive, warm and professional - especially Saiful. Nothing was too much for Saiful, he went out of his way to ensure our experience as a family was absolutely fabulous, catering to all our needs. A wonderful man, thank you a million!

Had afternoon tea at the Park Room - what an incredible experience. Right from the doorman opening the door, the concierge greeting us, our waitress, to leaving - we felt like VIPs, wonderful service. The food was so delicious- a great choice of open and finger sandwiches, scones and cakes. The current theme is the flower fairies, and the cakes were exquisite. Had to take most of the cake home as we were so full, including the big slice of cake they offer you at the end. Even the “doggy bag” was a lovely smart bag. Every touch is so well thought through. I felt utterly spoiled by the experience and it was worth the money.

My daughter wanted to treat me to high tea for the first time. It was a wonderful delicious incredible experience. Saiful and Partiga were always watching over us asking if everything was okay. They explained everything to us about the theme of the tea cakes and the selection of the delicious one of a kind teas. The desserts were so different and unique and creative. There was so much food we couldn’t finish it. They packed our leftovers with care. There was also a pianist playing all the musical hits . His music made it extra special and he personally came by our table to say hello when he finished his last performance. I had such a memorable time for my first high tea and will never forget the kindness and caring from the people who worked there. I will tell all my friends and family that if they want High Tea on London they have to go to JW Marriot in the Park Room. 5 stars

This was my second Afternoon Tea in the Park Room at The Grosvenor and it never disappoints. The room is beautiful, the food delicious and the service absolutely perfect. Our main waiter was Saiful and he could not have been any more attentive and helpful or the service any better. We were also guided through the teas and menu by other members of the team and the whole experience was so elegant and perfect you just don’t want to leave. The room is beautiful and tables well spaced so you are not on top of each other. It’s just such a great experience.

I loved the food and our fantastic waiter ( Saiful), I however didn’t stay over I had a flower fairy inspired afternoon tea with my friends for a birthday treat and it was lovely! The people actually came out with a cake and the pianist played happy birthday my friend loved it. It was so hygienic and well served. With a lovely look out on park lane. Best experience ever!!! Try this out !!!

We had afternoon tea at the Park Room our first day in London. It was a memorable and beautiful experience. Our server, Altay was kind and attentive. The tea, cakes and sandwiches were delicious. The staff is very friendly and the food was delicious from champagne 🍾🥂 - finger sandwiches with the scones - clotted cream - Jam - tea selection - desserts . What a fabulous afternoon. The setting of the Park Room is always wonderful. The afternoon tea was beautiful. It was a fairy theme and the attention to detail was sublime. A truly delicious tea, open sandwiches with the usual array of finger sandwiches. Scones were big and light. And a lovely selection of jams and preserves. The pasties were so beautiful it was a shame to disturb them but what a delight they were to eat. There was a lovely booklet which we were allowed to keep, explaining the various sweet delights. A book full of teas; black, white, green and tisanes. Nothing was too much trouble and we were encouraged to try as many as we wanted. 2 were enough. But the main attraction of the Park Room is the staff. We were extremely lucky to have the charismatic and extremely attentive and professional Altay and Assistant Manager Herlyn looking after us. Together they made our afternoon. They are the reason I would return to the Park Room and I’d like to thank them for bringing the whole experience together.

The Park Room afternoon tea is the best we had during our London trip. The room was bright, spacious and not crowded. The pianist was a gentlemen that day. He is just amazing, his music is the best we heard in London. The dessert in the afternoon tea has the fairy theme and they are beautiful. The waitress was attentive. The scone/sandwich was delicious.

I had afternoon tea at Park Room - it was a fairy theme and it was absolutely amazing. The staff were super lovely and courteous and kind and the service was impeccable. They described all the options to us and the different deserts and their components and they topped up anything we wanted. The tea options were plentiful and they also offered us coffee. Ordered the famous cheesecake, was a dissapointment, biscoff was dry, and the cream on top was almost like sour cream. Crème brûlée was very tasty, beautifully pairs with a cappuccino

We were so excited for this fairy tea but unfortunately were very disappointed overall. See below for a review of the service, the food, and the atmosphere. First the service.We were running about fifteen minutes late for our 6pm booking and immediately upon sitting down were told by our waiter “You’re late.” He then proceeded to explain that we had booked for a 90-minute seating. We said we understood—it had been on the terms of the booking—but he explained it again and again as if we did not understand. Then, handing us the tea menu, the waiter immediately wanted to take our order, which to me was quite rushed, as I didn’t have time even to peruse beyond the first few teas on the first page. I know that there are time constraints, but it was quite rude to be reminded over and over again, and as it turned out, we finished our tea well before the “deadline” and actually had to wait on the waiter to finally bring the check. He did apologize, so I am sure it is a policy of the restaurant and not his fault, personally, but it should be common sense that a harried, hurried atmosphere is not good for anyone—wait staff or guests. Our waiter did try to make amends by offering us another tea toward the end, and we enjoyed his commentary on the selections as he was very knowledgeable about the flavor profiles and provenances. Second, the food itself. As vegetarians, we often find it difficult to have good savory options at afternoon teas, and this was no exception. The savory offerings were bland at best and at worst somewhat offensive—for example, in the presence of a hard-boiled quail egg on one of the appetizers. However I hasten to add that the scones were well-prepared and the desserts were not only beautiful to look at, carefully coordinated to the fairy theme, but also delicious and well-prepared, particularly the purple fairy dress with white chocolate and blackberry. Indeed these are perhaps the best desserts I have had at an afternoon tea (usually they look nice but are none too tasty). Third, the atmosphere. It was a bit dark and dank in the tearoom, though there was a lovely fairy display, matching the dessert selection, in the middle of the room. However the overpowering smell of something like musky cologne made it quite difficult to eat and drink in the room.

A friend came from afar to eat Afternoon Tea for the first time in the UK Originally, we could only stay for 1.5 hours, but in the end, no one stayed there for 2 hours longer than us☺️ The environment is very good, but unfortunately there were two police cars parked outside the window that day, blocking our view of the scenery. The service attitude of all the staff we took was very good from Philippines👍🏻 I really like the two savory snacks at first, and then the desserts are also good. In Hong Kong, you can always eat it and take it away without washing it. The quantity is obviously not much different from that in Hong Kong. But now that I know how to eat it, I want to take away some desserts🙊 But actually the UK won’t recommend you take it away because they have higher requirements on food safety. There is some food left at room temperature, limited to 2 or 4 hours~

Good food very inattentive service.

We came here over the bank holiday weekend and we had a lovely time. It was a themed tea so it was the fairies afternoon tea which was nice. I think I will come again when there is no theme to compare how the tea is. The scones and sandwiches were really good and they even packed us some slices of cake to take home. The fairy cakes were pretty but I wasn't that blown away by them. Big shout out to Alexis for looking after us. We will come again!

Had a lovely afternoon tea at JW Marriot. We loved every bit of it. Federico took such great care of us so a special thanks to him. I would highly recommend The Park Room. They also offered halal options which was a plus point.

Service was excellent, from the manager to our server who proffered options regularly, from bringing extra pillows so children could sit more comfortably during tea to encouraging me to try more than 1 tea type. Afternoon tea was calm and we were only 1 of 3 tables present. There was a live pianist playing classical, classics and modern pop songs. The menu for children’s tea was a feast for the eye: sweet little bulldog Grover, bones and doghouses made of camel-colored chocolate, though both the kids tea and adult tea did seem to rely heavily on mousse for the sweets. Each child had their own tea service but it was definitely too much for a younger child to comfortably eat all. Definitely do not feel obliged to get your own adult tea to accompany kids: I did and it was far too much food for me to eat much of at all. Would definitely come back: lots of English afternoon tea traditions, facilities immaculate and gracious service.

First off we just left the Park Room. Normally I don’t write reviews but because of how much I was impressed by this AMAZING tea service and employees at this establishment… I’m writing a review. Pratigya at the Park Room was such an amazing kind soul who provided the most exceptional tea service and kindness to my family. My family is visiting because my mom just turned 70. She lost everything in a major California wildfire 5 years ago, has over come many health challenges and changes in our family. So this was a big trip for her to return to where she grew up . She hasn’t been back for 40 years. But today we ventured out on a massive walk… with my 6 year old for a whopping 15k step journey to Hyde park before tea. We all have jet lag and this poor kiddo fell asleep in a cab to the park room it’s only 1 pm mind you. Pratigya was so kind that my child was literally asleep at high tea for the first course… the pictures are hilarious. My mom was showered with a beautiful tea service… amazing birthday cakes and kindness that she hasn’t experienced in a long time. I can’t say enough about the sheer excellence in this hotel as well. The doorman was genuine and kind, the lovely restroom attendant, to all staff working in just the lobby. We didn’t stay at the hotel but felt very welcome. This says a lot about a hotel of this caliber. I just can’t say enough about the whole experience…. And my daughter won’t stop hugging the adorable pup stuffy she was given at the end. “If you’re going with a child… you won’t regret the adorable tea… the hot chocolate is awesome too.” Thank you so much… worth every penny and the best tea service on this trip.

We had a nice afternoon tea at the Park Room. It was an upscale experience with an extensive collection of both traditional and more eclectic teas. I also enjoyed the cocktails. We came with our seven year old son who also very much enjoyed the experience. The servers were kind to him and I appreciate that they had a kids option to make his experience special as well.

I booked afternoon tea for my 40th birthday for myself and a group of friends. From booking to the day it was excellent service. On the day our main server was Altay. His customer service was above and beyond. He made us laugh, he served us with such kindness and he took amazing photos of us. He was also very attentive to our needs. All the staff were exceptional. I would definately come back again. Amazing evening.

We dined at the Park Room for afternoon tea and had a fabulous experience. Frederico took excellent care of us and was a very attentive host. The tea was phenomenal, and the environment is very nice. They don’t try to cram too many people in the restaurant, nor do they rush you through the experience. I would highly recommend this as a venue for relaxing, traditional afternoon tea.

One of the best afternoon teas! Booked for a birthday, Siri was very knowledgeable and did a great job at making it special by ensuring we had everything we needed. Teas, sandwiches, scones and sweet treats were delicious. The birthday chocolate cake, in particular, was incredible I need more!

Came here for Tea one evening and was only too happy we did. The service was exceptional and it had a wonderfully relaxed feel. Although we did not have the popular afternoon tea, there was a lively selection on offer and it's open until 1.30 am! Please note that after 6pm, if you are not resident at the hotel, there is a astonishing £35 surcharge per head, in addition to any food and beverages. This was the only drawback for evening attendance, however, the Managing Hostess, Valentina very kindly,waived this for us. We were served by a wonderful host Pratigya, who couldn't have been more delightful. We were so happy with the service experience that we will definitely visit for Afternoon Tea one day. Another great thing is that they serve all Halal food.

We had an absolutely spectacular afternoon tea. I loved the little rose and egg shaped cakes that they were serving for Easter. They even serve a gluten free tea if you give them a day’s warning that you’ll need it. The server, Federico, was extremely knowledgeable about both the teas and cakes. One of the best afternoon tea I have ever had in London! Everything is perfect! The food is delicious and the service provided by Irina and Leo is excellent. They are always attentive and professional! Will definitely come again!

What a lovely experience. We had a voucher for tea for 2 people with champagne. We arrived early and they were happy to accommodate us. The open sandwiches were lovely. The main finger sandwiches were replenishable whenever you wanted more. There was a choice of jams and a very extensive tea menu, of which you can choose multiple through the experience. We didn't expect the extra choice of a slice of the cakes included with the voucher at the end of the tea, but they were happy to box these up for us, as we were too full to eat them. Most of all the service throughout was impeccable. We watched each member of staff really taking time to engage with their tables, nothing was too much. They entertained small children and sang happy birthday multiple times to many tables. Would definitely recommend and go back.

We really enjoyed the Snowman afternoon tea, the menu keepsakes were a lovely touch. The ambiance just adds to the experience especially the resident pianist. The food was delicious and we couldn't finish it all! Leo who served us had great tea recommendations and excellent hospitality. Overall would highly recommend.

We had an amazing time having afternoon tea in the park room. Mark who served us took very much care of us and we had some great conversations between enjoying the food and tea. We would definitely recommend having an afternoon tea there since it was a great (and proper British) experience during our stay in London.

Those people are either scammers or extremely stupid. I have been charged extra £70 on my order for being a nonresident but I am a resident and they took my room number before I went there. They stated when I entered that tonight only resident are allowed in so it’s really hard to believe they have mistakenly charged me. After paying and realizing something is not right, I asked them about the £70 cover charge added on my bill and they all acted dumb. They were very rude when I asked for a refund and they were trying to convince to get on another day. There weren’t a single apology during this whole thing which shows that this place has no sense of hospitality.

My friends and I had an amazing afternoon tea at the Park room. We loved the Christmas theme, the snowman cake was delicious and the early December morning granita was wonderful. In particular Pratigya our server was amazing, nothing was too much for her, she was friendly , smiley and very helpful. She made our afternoon tea experience very special. Thank you Pratigya.

Go when your hungry 100% as the food quantity is verrrrry goood and enough for a full board meal! Everything was excellent! Loved every moment of it!

The service hear was really good our waitress was very helpful. The atmosphere here was very nice with comfortable seats. The pastries were very nice however the the bread on the sandwiches tasted dry. The tea’s were very nice. However the decaffe Americano was very bitter

Service is the slowest we’ve experienced in London, we were kept waiting for an absurdly long time to get anyone to take our order. Then when our order was taken it took even longer to arrive, despite the fact that we only ordered some coffee and cheesecake. The cheesecakes arrived before the coffee and by the time the coffee finally arrived, the cheesecakes were just sitting there half eaten (we wanted to have at least a few bites with the coffee).

LOVE the scones and coffee! Lunch were nice here. Club sandwiches and trio mini burgers were flavourful but they shockingly caloric 😂 Staff were super nice and friendly. Piano live performance starts at 1pm💓

The cover charge the apply on top whatever you order is ridiculous and does not make any sense !! Although The cheesecake is AMAZING but keep in mind that you can have it also in the corner coffee shop (Starbucks) or in the restaurant JW steakhouse.

The wait air is terrible , very impolite , he disappears and we have to try to find him , everytime we need an order.

Excellent afternoon tea experience. We had the Festive Afternoon Tea set accompanied by their Grosvenor House Blend tea, which was truly delightful and beautifully presented. Very comfortable atmosphere with live piano music. Superb customer service, especially from Valentina who took care of us throughout our whole stay. Definitely coming back. We were told The Park Room does require a booking reservation but this was very easy for us to do through their website.

Good serving, tasty and not expensive.

I stayed at JW Marriott for couple of days. It is hard to miss this place if you are going in from the Park Land entrance. We saw people have the time of their life in there, so we thought we should give it a try. What we didn’t know was that you have to make a reservation for the high tea. The waiter however was kind enough to ask the kitchen if they have an extra set left to serve, and they did! The variety and the presentation of the food were good. And the selection of the tea is phenomenal! However, I wouldn’t say that the taste was on par with the price tag. The service as you can imagine was quite attentive. That was my first high tea experience, and overall I enjoyed it.

We went there for the afternoon tea and from all the places around the world that we have been to this was a unique and extraordinary experience. From the friendly hostess that treated us, to the excellent service from our server Altay we were flashed and impressed. The food and tea was also delicious, but truly the kindness of the staff made this experience so unique.

First, my friends and I were VERY late...VERY later, but after a little pleading the staff was able to move some things around and accommodate us. They treated us like royalty. There was a vast selection of tea and they were tasty. We liked almost all of the food. Didn't care for most of the desserts. Our waitress Siri (seen in the picture) was polite and attentive. The staff were kind of enough to take pics and boomerangs of us, which was much appreciate. I definitely recommend this place!

The food and the atmosphere are great. The service is bad. Ordered Turkish coffee with little sugar got one with medium. They said they will replace never did after a long time then said it is no longer available!

If you are not staying in the hotel, don’t bother come. They don’t accept outside guests. Otherwise the service and atmosphere is nice, average food.

Service was quite slow although the afternoon tea was splendid, yet very expensive considering the speed of service. The pianist was good.

The delicious afternoon tea at the Park Room & Library is a unique time to gather friends around a table filled with various types of tea and delicious desserts. An excellent experience!

Had the BEST time at afternoon tea here celebrating my mom's birthday! Sabyra was taking care of us, and she made our time so wonderful, she was very attentive and made sure we loved everything. Tea and food was delicious too, best scone I have ever had.

Not friendly staff Great atmosphere Famous of its cheesecake Staff has to be changed to friendly staff
