Parkside Tavern in Leeds

We had three friends visiting (one of which is unfortunately wheelchair bound) and we were looking for a place to have some food and watch the football. Parkside Tavern was close to their hotel and seemed like a good option. After entering we were looking for somewhere to sit when one of our party was approached and asked for ID. Although of age she did not have a physical copy of her ID with her (she did have a digital copy of her passport) and as a result we were told to leave. We’d never been here before and obviously this was a very disappointing first experience. Based on this I would not recommend the Parkside Tavern if you’re a family, group of mixed ages, or have anyone in your party with limited mobility.

Great money for value, jack the bar member holds the speed record for making a good cocktail, he is great and really friendly! Amazing service !

Went for a few drinks before the theatre on Monday night. The Bar was clean and well stocked with plenty of space around. Prices very reasonable for City centre location. Would certainly go back.

Uneducated rude staff that have no grasp of licencing laws.

Great Central location. Very loud music so conversation extremely difficult/ impossible. Had to go outside. Was cold! No hot drinks served. BBQ food very tasty.

We recently hosted our company’s summer party at Parkside Tavern, and it was an absolute hit! From the moment we arrived, the staff, particuarly Tara and Sophie made us feel incredibly welcome and attended to our every need with a smile and enthusaism. The catering was top-notch, offering a delicious array of dishes that catered to all dietary preferences and the bar service was equally impressive, One of the highlights was the seamless organization and attention to detail. The event coordinators were professional and accommodating, ensuring everything ran smoothly from start to finish. You won't get better vaule for money for a private event anywhere else in Leeds.

Amazing staff and Absolutely great venue to host a private party! We booked a 30th birthday party in the upstairs function room, large and spacious with it's own bar which opens up onto a roof terrace which get the sun all day!! From the very start out host Sophie was very professional and so accommodating. Her bar staff Amy and Theo were excellent who we kept very busy on that bar! Between them they did an amazing job! The food was very good! And had lots of vegan and vegetarian options. We had a big speaker given to play our own music plus they kept the TVs on for the football fans. Everyone who came to the party really enjoyed themselves including the birthday girl! Plus a few people have said this would be perfect for their birthday parties too. I for one will be booking this venue again in the near future. Thank you again!

Nice pub with nice outdoor seated area

Attended a private event here, absolutely diabolical management and security guards, no security when you walk in but then micro management whilst at event. Never met a more rude bar manager.

Mi hijo reservó su fiesta de cumpleaños número 30 aquí en una sala de actos privada arriba. Volé desde España con su hermano y su hermana ( 16 & 10 ) para sorprenderlo a él y a mi otra hija que viven en Leeds. Fue maravilloso sorprenderlos y disfrutamos de una hora mágica, antes de ser informados por el gerente de que tuvimos que salir debido a las leyes de licencias del Reino Unido (? ) Le expliqué que yo era su padre, había volado especialmente, pero me dijeron que las reglas son reglas. Desde entonces he buscado en Google y dice que se puede pedir a los niños que desalojen el bar a las 9 pm. Nos dijeron que nos fuéramos a las 5 pm! Una gran función privada estropeada por la falta de empatía y estoy convencido de que la ley citada era incorrecta. Sin embargo, no quería arruinar el ambiente de la fiesta de mi hijo, así que nos fuimos. Bastante asqueado para ser honesto.

Comfy pub with friendly staff. Good pub food. The staff were more than accommodating for a couple with a baby too. Thank you very much.

I love everything about this place, it’s perfect for a relaxing drink. Great beer, good food, pool tables, lovely staff and 3 beer gardens and a rooftop terrace - those out back are so peaceful it’s like a trip to the countryside!

Watched the Euro quarter finals here. Very nice pub, excellent service and the pizza was banging. Well managed also. Definitely will come back here next time I’m in Leeds!

Una joya encantadora de un pub en el centro de la ciudad. Personal muy amable y servicial - Sophie y Charlotte realmente nos cuidó. La comida estaba deliciosa y recién preparada con mucho cuidado. Un montón de áreas diferentes para sentarse, una terraza preciosa fuera y algunas áreas más tranquilas para aquellos de nosotros que solo queríamos una buena charla, así como unas pocas mesas de billar y un montón de áreas para sentarse y disfrutar viendo el fútbol u otros eventos en sus pantallas de televisión. Gracias, tuvimos una noche encantadora y sin duda volveremos a visitar.

We hired half of the sports room for my sons stag do, To be honest it is not worth the money, the pool tables are rubbish, cloth worn, not level, cushions all over the place and don't even get me started with the dart board!! i have thrown better in the bin. We even left before our time was up.

First visit 3/5/24 and would return again,great food,good atmosphere & lovely staff. Would like to give a big THANKYOU to Callum for sorting out my issue on my mobile .

The games room could be better, shabby dart board falls off wall, blunt darts, pool tables not level.

Smashing place, quick service, friendly staff! Prices are a little high but it's Leeds City Centre, so they're quite reasonable in that sense. Beer Garden is very nice, multi level too!

Great Bar. Reasonable choice of beers. Plenty of outdoor space. I would give a five star rating if they didn't play such loud music. Many in the main bar are having achat. But having to shout to be heard is which is annoying.

I came in over the bank holiday weekend and had a great night! The staff were amazing and the bartender Mac made us some great cocktails. Great service!

We went as a group specifically for the four pool 🎱 tables which are of really good quility and are in a separate room to the pub. Plenty of different beers to try. The food looked good but didn't eat.

We have had a couple of work socials here now and it has become our go to place for a chill evening of drinks and games

Great prices, lovely venue, great atmosphere and perfect for a quiet drink, plus Sophie the bartender is the loveliest barmaid in town, so friendly and helpful, especially to a newcomer like myself. Definitely recommend this place

Bit bizarre, used to come here a lot and it was always busy. This time had stand-offish staff, we're told we were next in line for a pool table and then saw someone else be given the next free pool table (the bar closed shortly after that). And were charged incorrectly for drinks. Bit of a shambles and so disappointing when it used to be decent. Guess this explains the quieter atmosphere for a Friday night.

Stumbled across this pub on a Sunday morning and enjoyed a few drinks and pool. A lovely pub but the out side is ruined by tacky advertising on the front of a lovely building. Staff weren't sure of the buildings history which is a shame as it has the look of tudor styling on the front. The pool tables are pay by the hour which is great but unfortunately at £12 an hour I think it was time to spend some money on new baize and cues. The lack of attention to detail gives all the signs of chain pub management and while the website it all flash and glossy, the gloss wears off very quickly and needs maintaining. We went to go back on Monday to show it to someone in the group the pub but the pub was closed but had times on the front saying it was open at 15:00 on Monday so we went back at 15:30 to fi d it still closed, never thought of checking Website as this states pub is closed.

Hired the function room with 4 pool tables, darts board and shuffleboard for works Xmas drinks. Great fun, music not too loud and the 4H passed very quickly!

Went to watch football on a Saturday night. Great choice of beers and a few different TV screens to choose from. Got busy which made viewing difficult but could see once standing.

Fantastic night at parkside tavern, Sophie and Hannah were perfect hosts for myself and my pals, quiz was a great aspect of the night 10/10

I have been in the pub a few times now and it has always been great. My last visit was on Monday, the atmosphere was great and the staff were amazing. I was served by Sophie who was very lovely and accommodating and took the time to explain the drafts. Will be coming back soon!

Went along on a Tuesday night for the speed quiz (a very good quiz) nice pub, good music and good service. Defo coming back for the quiz and drinks! Food is pretty good too.

Went to quiz and made a /harmless/ joke team name about the quizmaster’s Twitch shirt. Bar woman took offence to this for some reason and berated the table (?) No banter. Needs to get a grip. Quiz has a dead atmosphere anyway. Dry Dock does the best one.

Going to Nearby Gig. At the Key Club. Soundcheck On Going. Busy Bar. Plenty of Food been eaten. England Rugby on TV Screen,s. Cocktails doing Good Business. Vibrant and Exciting Atmosphere. Had a Beer outside. Very Enjoyable Experience.

Popped in here for a quick pint. Sooo awesome! It's fantastic inside, great decor and built under the arches. Awesome service and a fair price. Will definitely be coming back.

Drinks were decent prices and atmosphere was really good, relaxed but upbeat. One of the staff members came off a little hostile but everything was run really smoothly and we felt attended to without being bothered. Tuesday Pub quiz is £1 per person, hosted on SpeedQuizzing. Was a good length and a great time, maybe just needed a bit more variety of topics!

Lovely pub with exceedingly friendly and polite staff. Excellent, excessively cheesy pizza. Atmosphere was a tad lacklustre - the outdoor spaces were a bit tired and could do with some sprucing up to make them a more appealing place to sit. I'd certainly still come again.

Lovely pub. Go for it! Great atmosphere, service was quick and staff were very friendly. Definitely a great place to hang out with friends, watch games, or just go with your partner. The pizza was delicious and didn't take long to be ready, so definitely good for a bite while having a few pints. It's not very big, but as we weren't very hungry, we got 1 to share between 2. Also pool tables are very well look after. I recommend giving it a go but if you wanna play it, you need to book in advance. At least one day before

This was a great pub to drinking at, with a throwback and flashy design! The counter is well-presented, staff were welcoming and seating is good. I had a pint of Budweiser, although it is somewhat expensive at slightly over £5 and the pool table was fun however.

Only came in for a few drinks and decided to get some nachos, absolutely gorgeous! Been in a few times now and although you can't go very wrong with nachos, these were amazing. Great vibe inside and lovely outdoor seating too!

First visit, great decision, booked table online,7 people, great choice of beers and other alcoholic drinks. Good food menu, pizzas very tasty. Friendly staff, great location for pre theatre drinks / food. No room on sun terrace but that didn't stop us having a great time. We will be back. Ps The Proclaimers were amazing

The staff were good, friendly and polite. The atmosphere was good too even in the outside seating area. There was a TV playing sports and they had a pool room. We didn't have food but the pizza kitchen smelt great. The door staff were very good and kept everyone safe and challenged anything they thought was not right.

Pool tables, outside seating in sun and shade, and food, this is far better than the chippie it was. One of the best pints of landlord in a while. Definitely a student hangout but authentic and worth a visit.

I visited here on father's day after seeing some reviews on some great social media by these. We order pizzas and chicken goujons and to say i was disappointed would be in understatement. Extremely bland pizzas with no seasoning at all under chicken was like something out of iceland.
