Super nice place with good food. Unfortunately, they didn't have all types of Ale at home for the day.

Been waiting for my food for the last 30mins. It's only a burger. I'm still here

A very tasty and extremely cozy restaurant/pub with great service. If you specifically want to eat something, you can sit separately in the dining room so that you don't end up sitting in the pub. We were able to sit down directly at a free table and the atmosphere was super cozy and very warm. You immediately feel very comfortable. We were served very quickly and got our drinks straight afterwards. We both had fish and chips and found it very tasty. The quality of the fish is very nice and the remoulade is also great. The service was very accommodating and was able to respond well to questions about the beer and the type of fish. Top!

After being turned away from 3 other places on a busy Saturday, we luckily managed to find a table here - and despite being told there would be a long wait for food it came quite quickly. The food was very good, ambiance and service great too!

We ordered burgers which arrived after 30 minutes. The meat was so dry and overcooked we couldn't chew it! We sent the burgers back and didn't ask for new ones.

Avoid completely The hamburger really smelled rotten, overcooked in my opinion to cover up the smell, the fries were completely cold, we also had meat which had an aftertaste 👅 The excuse was that they were not well delivered

Absolutely disgusting, the overcooked Burger, most of the mussels were closed and the one that was was dry, absolutely avoid, never go there.

I went to this place on Boxing Day because there weren't many restaurants around, and the fish was quite large and cooked well and crispy. The taste is nothing special, just what you think. The onion rings were also delicious! Is the beer also London Ale? I drank it and it was delicious And the staff were very friendly.

Came on Boxing Day 2024. One of the few pubs in the area open. All the staff were friendly and accomodating. We just came for drinks so stayed in the pub downstairs, but you go up to the second floor if you want food. Recommended if you’re in the area and looking for a few drinks. Not cheap, but hey, that’s London.

We were eating and the food was very bad, there was no security. THEY ROBBED US. I don't recommend going to that place, they only gave us a soft drink in exchange when they stole our credit cards and cash. If I could give them zero stars I would.

Had lunch upstairs in the dining room with our young family of 6 on Mon 23 Dec. The staff (two young ladies and a gentleman with a lovely beard) were so accommodating and delightful! Dishes were excellent; especially the Mac n cheese and the Chicken Kiev. Very clean establishment and superbly decorated for the holidays. Please pass on our gratitude to the staff. Merry Christmas!

By far the worst halloumi I've tasted, pls avoid at all cost. Btw, there isn't anymore pool table downstairs. Its just an ordinary pub right now.

I had a lovely IPA pint and a delicious soup, and of cause, pigs in blankets! Food is stunning. It's definitely worth having it. Very nice place to go!

Super nice and fun. My girlfriend and I spent a pleasant evening of laughter and good local and international beer.

We arrived 20 minutes before restaurant opened and it was suggested we wait in bar - this meant we were first in for service upstairs in the restaurant They clearly weren’t ready to open and it took 20 minutes to be served and then we were told a minimum 30 minutes for food. Other diners arriving afterwards appeared to have pre ordered - not sure why we couldn’t have been given that option when they knew we were waiting in bar? After ordering starters we were told 2 weren’t actually available, which left only one option for the gluten-free member of the party Then when starters arrived, one was wrong - no big deal, we accepted it. Thirty minutes after starters were cleared 3 of 5 mains ordered arrived One main hadn’t been prepared at all - so we cancelled it. The other missing main course was the gluten-free burger. Turns out the didn’t have any and instead offered a burger on gluten-free slice of bread. We cancelled that order too. Food itself was average. Steak and Ale pie was short on steak and burgers not particularly warm. Coffee was cold. Bill included 20% service which we did not pay But if someone had just apologised or even given us a free starter we would have paid it Wasn’t the waiting staffs fault, they were fine - down to kitchen and management. Toilets are filthy

Warm and welcoming pub especially thanks to the friendly and very kind staff, the food is very good and typical of the place. I highly recommend!

A good traditional Christmas dinner washed down with Crown Jewels London Porter. Very enjoyable.

In order to use the wifi , you have to sign up in their website and the email is mandatory. They take your email and start to send spam !!!! There is no option for unsuscribe!!! I received an email asking to remove the review and confirming they removed my email from their newsletter. I removed the review but the spam didn't stopped. Make sure you delete my email address and then I removed the review.

Very quaint and welcoming English pub. The ryb was good although I would have liked it cooked a little more. The pulled pork meatballs and chips are good. Decent dessert. Honest prices

Fantastic service from the lady called Najja!!!! Pleasant atmosphere, nice food! .The pub is located in Knightsbridge closed to Harrods and other big shopping stores.Easy access!

very very disappointed. I’ve been a client for several months until a few weeks ago. I was ordering my food and drink one evening out after work and when I went to pay the lady with dark hair and glasses at the bar said to me there was a problem with the machine that didn’t take the payment, so I went to try again but when I went home I realised I paid double. I came back after a few days and the tall manager with tattoos told me they will sort it out this problem. It’s been several weeks. I never had a follow up, no one ever contact me. They just lied, took my number and my name for nothing. They literally stole my money. This is bullshit and no professional at all.

Table of 5. Waited 45 minutes and paid £100 for burnt toasties, soggy fries, 3 cokes, and 2 beers. Only two other tables occupied. Wouldn't recommend.

Had the best time in the Paxtons head. The atmosphere in the pub was amazing, food was incredible and the staff behind the bar were amazing (especially Claire) Can’t wait to go back.

Visited on the Friday night, lovely atmosphere, the food was so good I had fish and chips it didn’t disappoint! Our server Claire was so helpful and attentive making sure we had a good meal.

They may of had an off day but the Sunday roast was terrible! Meat was dry and vegetables were cold. I sent the salt and pepper calamari back to the kitchen. I don’t think it was calamari. £5 roast from waitrose would have been better money spent

Excellent find in the heart of Knightsbridge - we came off Hyde park after a nice walk, we wanted to have some food so headed upstairs to a beautiful restaurant, our waitress Claire was phenomenal very friendly and polite - recommended us the beef and raclette pie and ooohhh boy that was a great pie indeed Heads off to the chef dish a great dish thanks you to all staff, we will be back if we come to London again

Visited the Paxton's with some friends. Had a couple of drinks and some food. The food was delicious. Claire was lovely who was looking after us. It was nice to sit in the bar for drinks and then be sat in restaurant for food. Lovely little find

Visited Paxtons Head for dinner with friends last night and just loved the atmosphere, such a cool place for a drink or dinner, definitely worth a visit.

We're here from the US on our first trip to London and a friend recommended this pub, he used to live near it. The vibe is great, cozy and cool with great music. You order food and drinks at the bar, grab a seat and they bring it to your table. We came in around 8pm, found a table and ordered. The beers on tap were delicious while we waited. BUT, let me just tell you that the food was the main event. We got the steak & ale pie and the cheese toastie with chips and fries, both plates were beyond delicious - decadent, hearty, and perfect! The gravy for the pie went on absolutely everything as soon as the plates landed and we inhaled it all! After that we ordered the sticky toffee pudding with custard - just, yes! Get it! It was hot and gooey and something we'll be coming back for again before our trip is done! The meal was the perfect cure to our jet lag on our first day here! The staff were so friendly and asked if there were any allergies to be aware of with each order (we had none), and every time anyone walked by they checked on us. We agreed there is only 2 outcomes from this first dinner in London - either every meal after this will pale in comparison or we'll mourn all the meals here when it's time to go home. Even though this is in the middle of a very busy tourist district, it was recommended to me from a Londoner and now I know why. Definitely eat here!

Popped in for a couple of pre-Proms drinks. The food was good. The chilli sauce on the halloumi was amazing!

Very good looking pub outside as inside. Split on two floors and I think the upper floor is a function room. Massive selection of drinks and craft beers. Only minus is the waiting to be served, dur9ng busy times two bartenders can't manage and keep with decent time to serve drinks which sometimes stretch to 20 min to be served

There is no security, they stole our credit cards and they think that with a soft drink they will recover. I understand that it wasn't their fault but they could have done something better to help. If I could I wouldn't have even a star 😒

We just happened to pass by a decided to pop in for lunch. It was only just lunch time and the upper floor quite, with a pleasant welcome from our server. We ordered our food and drinks, as the resturant started to fill up. Food was lovely, delicious and well presented. Good value for money and excellent portion sizes. Highly recommended 👌

Came to the pub a few months ago and did not want to return as the service and atmosphere was not great. Came here today…not my choice. But…very pleasantly surprised with the complete transformation to service standards. I saw a member of staff running around working very hard. Asked her to call the manager so I could give some positive feedback. Turned out she was the manager. Thank You Claire! We need more managers like you in pubs. Angel was amazing too. Decent Green King pub. Nice ambience. No Cask beer except for Green King IPA but Guinness in fine fettle. Didn't eat so can't comment on that.

Cool pub in London, close to the park and Harrod's. The service was quick, friendly, accommodating. The food was warm and tasty, the beer was cold and great. Everything perfect! Happy again at any time, highly recommended.

We booked a table for the England game before heading to see Robbie Williams at BST Hyde Park, communication red the booking was great, we were taken to our table quickly when we arrived by a very friendly chap. We had a bar upstairs which was served well, prices were great considering how close to Hyde Park we were. Food was good and the atmosphere was great. A great start to our day. Thanks to all the staff that looked after us.

Fantastic gem of a pub in the heart of Knightsbridge on the doorstep to Hyde Park. Great venue, super food and fantastic staff! Prices are London prices, but the selection and quality second to none. My new favourite place for after work drinks.

We came here today on the Spring Bank Holiday. I ordered the Vintage Cheddar and Bacon Burger. It came out with no cheese. When we asked, we were told they were out of cheese. How does this happen? And why wasn't I told this when we ordered so that I could choose something else? The burger was bland. The fries were good!

It took a long time for the food to come out. I ordered the chicken sandwich it was a childs size portion. The fried calamari was all tasteless couldn't taste the salt & pepper and it was all batter.

Came in for a quick drink with a friend and ended up staying for hours! Bar staff and atmosphere are so so good. We were served by Georgie behind the bar, who couldn't have been more welcoming and tentative. Would recommend to anyone, can't wait to come back!

Great location. Harrods accessible through a short cut from the Paxtons head. Hyde Park is across the road. Food was ordered as part of a function and was good. Drinks are expensive as expected for London. Staff were very helpful as we had a large amount in attendance. The atmosphere was good.

The worst experience since I have been in London. Place nice but... stay away. The worst service ever: - Waitress customer's attention and service totally poor and superficial; - we were 4 people and we waited more then 1 h . After this long time, I have asked explanation and they told me: Oh..we forgot your order!!!!!!' Crazy - once we have received plates, they were 3 and not 4!!!! One order was lost... I skipped my dinner!!!!!! - beers order wrong and come on...we are in an English pub!!!!! At the end, no excuse and no discount for all these mistakes!! Please be embarrassed for that!!!!! We are in London, people pay a lot and we pretend a good service!

We have been served after almost 2 hours waiting, and they served 2 wrong plates. I found it is not organized at all. We will never come back for sure!
