Lots of chopped onions in the sweetcorn soup. Never happened before, who puts onions in a sweetcorn chinese soup???

I called the restaurant after my order was very late. The guy who picked up the phone started shouting at me telling me the driver was calling and I wasn’t picking up, no one called. The poor driver was given incorrect contact details and not the flat number. I went outside and found him myself. Appalling behaviour from the restaurant when they can’t even give their own staff correct deliver info and proceed to shout at the customer. Shame Paya I’ve been ordering from you since you opened…

We have used them a lot and have found the food and service really good.

We ordered 4 dishes. one - Pork Ho Fun- we did not enjoy at all. It cost £9.50. It had no flavour, the pork did not taste fresh, the noodles were stuck together and had no sauce or flavour to them at all. If the cook would have tasted this dish. he would not have sent it. We complained to the Manager but did receive a satisfactory response. We will not reorder here again.

The best Chinese/thai by a country mile. Not too salty or greasy, and the buns are very good. Worth the premium delivery if you live a bit further away as well

probably the worst Chinese food I've had, won't be ordering again. the chowmein didn't have any flavour, chicken pieces were tough, the prawn wantons were okay but the clear soup lacked flavour.

First time we have used this take a way, but will definitely keep the details for next time.

The chow mein was missing from the order the restaurant then said that the chef had made the order they then wanted to charge me delivery for the chow run which they delivered 30 mins later then the driver wanted to leave the food at the main gate cos he said the buzzer was not working! I have never known appalling service. I will never use just eat or pays again - it’s not what I expect!!! Disappointed

Need to get a better delivery partner as the food is quite good but unfortunately ours arrived over an hour late and cold.

I was late to work and I almost lost my job

I ordered King Prawn and was sent Beef instead. This could have been very bad if I had eaten it as I react to beef. Although a refund was approved, this was given as a just eat credit only. The place then sent the driver back to pick up the dish I am really not sure what that was about. What I was left with King Prawn rice was nice but the whole thing took the enjoyment out of eating.

the quality of the food was not good. at all. it's not even on par with supermarket ready meals. do not order the Thai dishes from this place, they DO NOT KNOW how to cook them

“Crispy” peking chicken is like a wet slop. Almost liquid dish/soup. Everything else wonderful (pad Thai, pineapple chicken rice) We’ve used this restaurant often, but VERY disappointed with this dish, which was the most expensive in our order. Many other restaurants offer similar which are MUCH better. Such a shame.

Delicious food arrived a little bit early but no complaints delivery driver very friendly will definitely will order from here again highly recommended

Always great. We love this for a fusion take away - chow mean, beef Cantonese style and chicken massaman curry with sticky rice. Delicious!

Driver told me he was going to car for change which I never received and food is cold and mushy I want full refund they can take there food back!

My food was delivered 40 mins early, we wasn’t home and by the time we got back the food was cold. I specifically ordered it for a time we would be home. The food itself is usually very good from Paya but the food was cold by the time we got home tonight

A mixture of superb and rubbish. The steamed chicken buns were sublime and the mixed dim sum was very good, but somewhat ruined by being served on a soggy bed of lettuce for some reason. If the lettuce was abandoned it would’ve been excellent, The chicken and corn soup tasted wonderful but was marred by the gloopy texture. Once you got over the appearance it was delicious though. Finally, the pad kee mao (drunken noodles) was disgusting and inedible, avoid that dish at all costs.

Paya was my favourite ever restaurant, I’ve been ordering from here for over ten years. But tonight I decided I wouldn’t be ordering again, I would imagine a change in chef but my dishes just tasted of nothing but spice. Such a shame as for years I’ve had food full of such flavour! I couldn’t even stomach to finish eating which is a shame as it is quite expensive

Warning: metal foreign object found in food!!Sadly the lack of refund in this matter from Just Eat or Paya has left me no option but to highlight this situation. We could have cut our mouth on it, or worse case my children could have choked. This matter has not been taking seriously, and I am furious that people complain the food is cold and they get a refund immediately but we found a sharp piece of twisted eroded metal and we have had no reply from Just Eat. Disgusting.

Always get the same dishes, very nice.

missing items and gave food to delivery driver with no bag, just placed pots into his hand to put in his bag loose. disgusting practice and the flavour of what was delivered disgusting also!

The food was below par. The breadcrumbs prawns was burns and so hard that most of it was inedible. The green curry was not a green curry it was a Chinese curry. Very very disappointing

We ordered for the first time and were very pleasantly surprised with the quality and taste of our order. It was hot on arrival, arrived in good time and in good condition. The food was very tasty with lots of fresh veg which I do appreciate.

Payas always delivers the best food , today has a minor hicup but the staff at paya are so lovley and sorted it out straight away 10/10

Best tasting Chinese we’ve had in ages. Chicken and Broccoli was spot on and the the vegetarian in the house says the tofu was perfect. Soup was huge too

First time ordering from Paya. I noticed the mixed reviews and so was a little apprehensive. I am glad to report that both the delivery and the food were EXCELLENT. I will be ordering again.

Food order took over an hour. The food was of poor quality, the noodles were underdone and stuck together didn't look anything like a Chinese dish and ice cold. Not a good experience unfortunately.

I had the lobster for £47, it was tasty but disappointing, there was hardly any meat inside. I had eaten the whole thing g in 10 minutes, that's how small it was.

PAYA has really gone down hill. Everything is either salty or has a wired taste. The rice is very brown and dry. PAYA used to good, then it got good and expensive but now it is expensive and rubbish. They also forgot to include an item. Will not be back

Once again oaya messed my order up and I didn't received har kau so need a refund of £8.25

Duck lovely as always, but main dishes could have done with more flavour. delivery was pushed back, but we were notified that was the case.

i got duck fillet and cashew chicken, both very good, perhaps they could serve rice on the side for free

Have placed an order over hour and 20 ago- food was meant to arrive between 7.30 and 7.50 - update received that it was delayed and between 7.45 and 8.05. At 8.05 I had an email to say food had come but we hadn’t received it - the food has still not arrived after the second delayed time now! I tried calling the restaurant and no answer just a voicemail! Partner then called and they said would be another possible 20 minutes so when the food came it was over 45 minutes late. The food was luke warm and we are really disappointed as we always order from this restaurant. Please can we receive a Form of reimbursement / goodwill gesture considering the poor service this evening.

What can i say?, i order from paya regulaly and always always always have the top quality food, the only chinease food i will ever ever eat , staff are always very very polite too 1000% reccomend

They didn't deliver it but said they did.

The driver delivered the wrong order.. He then told me that my order was in the car, waited 3 minutes then watched him drive off.. He then came back 15 minutes later with my order.. Never again!!!!.. REVIEWS ARE 💯 ON POINT 👌🏾

Would help not to put a lot of food in one paper bag & a soup at the bottom of the bag, as the bag ripped and my soup all fell out & ribs, I contacted just eat in regards to this was told nothing they can do so wasn’t happy about this

We usually love food from Paya but today,(Boxing Day), it was very disappointing. The mock duck was almost inedible, dry and overcooked mock meat! The rest of our meal was ok, but not up to their usual standard.

Horrendous. Do not order from these guys. Waited for 1 hour and 35 minutes in total from point of order. Phoned the restaurant to be told there was an accident and their driver had to be rushed to hospital. There was a relief driver who was picking up the order from this driver who was now in hospital, and then coming to us. When I asked the driver, he did not respond to the so called accident. The person on the phone continuously said wait 30 mins, then 10 mins, then finally and rather miraculously, the driver had arrived. Disgraceful service, I certainly will not be using this place again.

Lovely duck pancakes. Could have done with more sauce/cucumber bits for 1/2 duck.

The chicken wings were a bit dry and the egg fried rice lacked flavour. For the price paid was expecting a little bit more of the Hong Kong sweet and sour chicken 😕

Portions were ddcent, soups were great and piping hot when they arrived! 👍 The only issue is, the Szechuan stir fry beef tasted somewhat...soapy. 🤷‍♂️ Had this before, hence ordering it, but don't remember it tasting like this. I'm must've been some of the spices, maybe too much was used but it left a weird soapy taste in your mouth. Didn't finish it, which is a shame, because everything else was perfect otherwise. 😕
