This place is a real gem - delicious small plates to share. We loved the pork and veal meat balls , the cauliflower steak, dolmades and peppers. They were all delicious and filling. We had a lovely Greek red wine to boot and the service was very friendly and efficient. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Been here before and it was delicious food and lovely atmosphere. We returned one year on at the same time of the year and we couldn’t even bring ourselves to stay after 5 minutes. With the draft and terrible air conditioning you might as well be sat outside on a January night. Terrible consideration for the space which is a shame because the food I imagine is still great. Massive disappointment

We tried a variety of dishes to share and all were amazing. The homemade bread is delicious, as are all the dips and sauces. Courgettes, sea bream, cod roe, shrimp were all equally delicious. Three smaller plates and two larger with bread served the three of us perfectly. We did not have room for dessert though, so reduce the sharing plates if you want to end with a sweet.

Mixed experience at Peckham Bazaar. Some dishes very good (the lamb and courgette fritters) while some were very average (focaccia, Octopus and the baked chocolate). Service was friendly but chaotic. One dish was forgotten and plates weren’t really cleared so we ended up eating dessert with the table still full of previous plates. We were seated in the covered outdoor part but effectively felt inside (which was good in terms of warmth), although people were smoking in the area and it wasn’t very well ventilated so that wasn’t particularly pleasant.

Food was great. Place have a lot of potential. Weirdly we were the only customers (Saturday lunch). As the sun was out we chose to eat at the patio, sadly members of staff decided it’s ok to hoover, deep clean the car and remove a freezer from the basement located 1m from our table! Considering the meal was more than £150 im not sure it’s value for money. As it was our 10th wedding anniversary it will definitely be remembered but for wrong reasons.

After reading recent reviews I was sceptical at first about going. But I’m glad to say we had an amazing time. The food and flavour combinations were delicious and exciting! The plate sizes are larger than you’d expect. The octopus was amazing, so was the mushroom croquettes and the sardines. The pork was also lovely but one part of the 2 was quite dry (still so good though). A perfect candle lit date for 2 food lovers (my partner is Italian and hard to impress so him saying 5 starts too is a big compliment) excited to go back soon! Croquettes and chicken thigh were fantastic. John dory was not good. Scate was way way too salty, but on average the food was good. However, the wine is a complete disaster! There are a bunch of kids running the drinks and they have no idea how to serve or preserve wine..... 3 days old bottles of vinegar need to be thrown away and not served! If I ask for a glass of "same again" don't just give me whatever is available that has a similar name! Get a grip of your wine and you would be a credible place!

Lovely service and lovely place, but I found the food underwhelming and very small portions for the price you pay. All mains are £15-30 but are the size of starters, and the cheapest glass of wine is £11. That would be okay if the food was crazy tasty - but it wasn’t. The prawns were plain and the squid was fairly good. Disappointed. My main also came out 15mins before my partner and I’d finished before he started. There’s better more authentic places nearby for Greek food in Camberwell.

One friendly server but very busy and always head down, and three newbies who didn't seem to know what they were doing. Dirty plates left on table for ages, new food arriving and they seemed to want us to clear and sort out the table. Why do we put up with service charge for terrible service? The food was delicious and refined, the choice varied. We went on a Monday night so the atmosphere was understandably subdued which wasn't a problem for us. The only thing to note is the price for each dish and for drinks is rather excessive. The portion size is good however, and their recommendation of 5-6 dishes to share for 2 people is most certainly too much: 4 dishes would've been fine for us to share, and we have big appetites.

Such a disappointment. Peckham Bazaar was for many years the go to restaurant in Peckham/Nunhead. John’s cooking was worthy of Masterchef and the place was properly packed night after night. The restaurants culinary disintegration into cooking no better than a kebab shop has been shocking. Last time I went was two years ago and that wasn’t brilliant - but it still had some of the old flair. My visit this week was shockingly bad. The sauce with the salads accompanying the babaganoosh and the courgette fritters was so salty it was inedible. We then had three mains, Pork skewers , lamb chops & seared chicken thigh. The skewers were precooked/reheated and came tepid. If the sauce wasn’t from a bottle they did a damn fine job of making seem that way. The chicken thigh skin was so overcooked it was a dense black charcoal and it was impossible to detach the dry flesh inside from the skin. The lamb chops weren’t chops - but a bit of ragged shoulder with skin burnt to a crisp again. The overwhelming smell of burnt flesh hung over everything. Potatoes so overcooked they had turned to mush and artichoke cunningly transformed into a tasteless imitation of swede. The bottle of wine (they aren’t cheap) came pre-corked - so no idea of knowing what was in it. The menu specially advises that the plates are small - so you need 5 or 6 per couple. Its not true. You’ll struggle to get through two courses. But I’d seriously suggest you don’t bother. If you want good food - then go elsewhere. Eveyone else has - the place was almost empty.

A Greek salad arrived promptly then nothing for 20 minutes. We had to ask 3 times for the bread- supposedly a selection but not! We were informed late that the octopus was not available. It looked as if there was only one chef working - clearly short staffed for a Sunday lunch. The wine was very overpriced- I only noticed when I got home that we had been charged for a lager we didn’t have. Sadly a disappointing lunch

I'm a bit torn as to how exactly write my review. It's a daily changing menu and the sample menu had one or two veggie main dishes. We arrived (for our wedding anniversary) and out of eight mains, not a single one was vegetarian. Not acceptable in my opinion. My husband is veggie and if we had known, we would have not booked the place. We asked about a veggie main, the waiter said there's nothing. Another one then came and said they could make shashuka. Well, that's breakfast/brunch, not dinner! He had to stick to starters which you don't want to do. I then ordered the fish main course to then hear it's not available. Well, why am I not being told and it's crossed out? He came back 5 mins later only to tell me that the fish is arriving in 5 minutes. What? The fennel salad arrived but without the blood oranges. Nobody said anything. I asked, the waiter went to check, never came back. The food we had was lovely but the overall experience was surreal. Not what I had envisioned for my wedding anniversary. Drinks expensive!

I have been meaning to write this review for ages! Booked a birthday dinner here for 20 people at 6pm. There was a train strike that day so guests arrived up to 45 mins late. What the restaurant didn't tell us that the booked was for only 2 hours and they had another large party coming at 8pm! Understandably we were a late but I have had dinner with 2 friends that has taken longer than 2 hours and we were not informed of this before. Food was great but we felt like they just wanted us in and out, they were literally throwing meals across the table to get us out quicker and we had to eat our dessert in the smoking area (it was February so anyone out there was only smoking). For a nearly thousand pound bill and considering the table was booked for 20 people I can't understand why it was only 2 hours?!

Fantastic dinner, as when we've eaten here previously. Very creative and delicious individual version of Balkan food. Small plates approach allows one to try many dishes. They are brought out quite gradually, creating the effect of a tasting menu. Charming front of house staff. Table was a bit late as the previous guests were reluctant to give it up, but we were cheered up by a round of free drinks and being seated as soon as feasible, and by lovely service. Not a place to go when you are in a rush anyway - time is needed to savour everything. Highly recommended and prices are really reasonable for this quality.

Really wanted to love this place after years of waiting to visit. The food was all very delicious but we left very disappointed due to slow service. The concept is small sharing dishes, which arrive when they are ready, which we've found in other restaurants can be done brilliantly, but at Peckham Bazaar we had to wait around 20 mins between each plate of food arriving, so by the time plate 3 arrived we had been there over an hour and were quite hungry and starting to lose patience! We were only informed several plates later that there was a staffing issue (earlier we were told the frier was broken), at which point we were offered a complementary glass of wine. We could have been told this at the start of the meal. As things continued to be very slow from that point we asked to cancel a few dishes from our order, to be told that they hadn't actually added those to the order for some reason. Since the food is good we had considered going back one day and giving PB another chance, but from reviews it does appear this is a recurring issue so unfortunately we may not return, especially as there are now so many great restaurants in the area.

Service was super friendly and attentive with great recommendations. Drinks were well made, the highlight of the evening was definitely the food. Everything was beautifully presented and the flavour combinations were out of this world. Our favourite was the miso aubergine, sirloin kebab, the grilled prawns, and the Greek salad. So grateful we found this hidden gem. Thank you team, we will be back!

Absolutely stellar food, lovely service and great ambience. Prices are quite reasonable relative to other restaurants of this calibre although wine prices are a bit dear. All in all very highly recommended.

The food was as delicious as usual. The service was friendly and relaxed. Our only gripe was that the room was slightly chilly.

The food was absolutely delicious. We shared dishes between 4 of us which worked perfectly. The staff were great and the atmosphere was too.

The slightly shambolic setting should not deceive - this was our second visit and the food was just as delicious as the first time.

Food was ok but some portions oddly-sized for sharing plates eg 3 keftedes for 2 people (more natural size is 4). Biggest let down was the huge draught that was blowing through the door into the restaurant. Had to sit with coat on thoughout the whole dinner. After we got up and tried to push the door closed n pull the ineffectual curtain behind it to better cover the door, staff intervened with a small heater and turning up the Aircon heater at the other end of the room. Felt uncomfortable - this isn't the middle ages, put a proper draught-proof door on the place so customers can enjoy their food in comfort.

Brilliant restaurant with great staff! I took my mother here for her birthday (it's one of our favourite restaurants) and let them know in advance, and they gave her a slice of cake with a candle and sang happy birthday to her! They have a great selection of food and drinks, especially the wine list, and I've always been really happy with whatever I've ordered - they're one of the only places I've been where I've enjoyed eating aubergine. The menu is especially great if you're vegetarian.

Nice Turkish restaurant. Newer, live music on Saturday and nice atmosphere. Great healthy food. The pomegranate salad was lovely and fresh.

A review of our meal at Rabot on 7th January 2023 - booked via OpenTable in September 2022 . hmmm where to start ... Well as the restaurant apparently closed in September and Open Table elected not to advise us. So as the booking experience was appallingly bad And the meal was non-existent I cannot really review or recommend somewhere I was sadly not able to go can I?! OpenTable asking for a review for the booking we were unable to enjoy was the invisible icing on a non-existent cake.
