I have been coming to this chippy for a while now and and can confidently say the it’s the best chippy I’ve been to. Can’t imagine going anywhere else local. Food is stunning and the service is always perfect. I highly recommend trying PFB if you’re looking for a new chippy to try.

One of the best fish and chip shops around, me and partner drive there every Saturday from Blackburn. We have been doing that religiously for the past 12 months! The staff are unbelievable and they recognise both of us every time we come in. The food is unbelievable as well and I look forward to my Saturdays every week. Wouldn’t recommend any other chip shop as this is far the best.

Nice service tonight especially from the young ladies (marillias from sotiras ) which is somewhere I will sure to visit was very polite and not lot like most places you go to nowadays!!!

This is by far the best fish and chip shop in Wigan and well worth travelling to even if you live outside of Wigan. We popped in after visiting a car dealership in the area and so glad we did. We aren’t from the area but will definitely be making a trip over just for the fish and chips.

Definetly one of the best chippys ive had, the fish was just beautiful, will be visiting again for sure!

Pemb fish bar reached out to us after seeing my partners family had fled the war in Ukraine. They provided us with 5 meals of our choice and made us feel extremely welcome. Pndreas & Anastasia are very humble people who did such a kind gesture when they didn't to. It meant a lot to us. As for the food, it was THE best fish & chips I've had! It was actually my first time eating there, but it definitely won't be the last! Everyone demolished their food, although I was the only one to eat all my food in 1 sitting everyone else finished theirs the next day. As well as providing food they are also taking Artem to his first ever football game on the weekend where he'll be watching Wigan smash Bolton! Thank you Pemb Fish Bar for your kindness and doing your part for the Ukrainian refugees.

This was the worst chippy rip of ever , 10p short of 15 quid for a bad meal the peas were green juice yuk !! the curry sauce was a table spoon shocking.. 4.20 for 2 sausage chips dry alot of small hard bits we will never go here again .. it is also tough if your disabled no safe access very bad place ... Never again !!!!!!

Had a laugh with the staff excellent atmosphere , food was just as good fish was lovely and white. 1 extra size sausage 1 foot long brilliant my dog enjoyed it to as I got that much eyes as big as me belly same for dog she didn't move till following morning 😅😂🤣

Top level food with a welcome to match it! Pemberton Fish Bar is absolutely worth the visit. The food is not only unbelievably tasty, but there is a very enticing selection to choose from. Beyond the classics, the Chicken Gyros was a personal favourite. Definitely give this a try. The staff welcomed me with a smile and created a wonderful environment that I'd definitely want to return to. Exceptional!

I've tried several fish and chips while staying in Wigan and Pemberton Fish Bar is by far the best! The fish is flaky, crispy, and piping hot. The same goes for the chips. I wish I had visited here first and I would have never looked further. So good!

Parked up for the night around the corner called in and got a three meat kebab the staff are very friendly and the kebab WOW absolutely brilliant will go again

Unfortunately not very good, quite expensive, don't order the peas, not sure they are supposed to be black 😕 chips luke warm.

Finally a decent chippy have to nip over from up holland as there isn't one that's any good.!but we'll worth it went 3 times in a row last week lol.plenty variety great little chippy.!

Fish was way over cooked, batter was dry and horrid taste of grease, way overpriced priced almost £38 for chips and gravy to kids meals and a fish and chips, never again

Good Chippy, I like to go around and find the best chippys and this was at no 1 on a post I read for wigan however was a little disappointed when I took my first few bites and was good but not the best in wigan. i’d put it up there with gidlows place but not as good as trawler-man and pepper lane. (Just my opinion tbf) the staff were friendly and the price was a lil high but not bad. all in all it’s a good chippy i’ve had much worse but just not great If you want a brilliant chippy and really love your fish and chips Matts plaice in Manchester is the best chippy I’ve had in the last couple years.

I was in the area, so I googled where to go for the best fish & chips and Pemberton Fish Bar came up so I decided to try them out and they did not disappoint! Fresh fish with the perfect batter and delicious chippy chips. I highly recommend them and can’t wait to go back :)

We was working in the area and heard great things about the food at this place. I must say the food is wonderful. The gyros are amazing and would highly recommend to anyone who has not tried the food here. The staff are also really friendly and overall 10/10 service.

Disgusting food, fish had soggy batter, chips needed cooking longer, they were very undercooked. Peas were tasteless.

Really friendly staff and great food! Had the gyros last week absolutely 10/10 would recommend. The tikka is a favourite of mine as well, been having it for years now.

Regular visits especially on a Sunday for the Chicken Gyros, amazing! Can’t forget to mention the halloumi that’s a must!!!! Very friendly staff!
