Pepe's in Warwick

Honestly pepes USED to be my favourite spot to eat but since the reopening the downfall needs to be studied. The food is so so bad I’m waiting so long when there is 2 people in the shop. The shops so dry no atmosphere and it’s freezing honestly it’s warmer if u stand outside. Whenever I ask the owner to turn the heating on he nods his head and walks off and still doesn’t turn it on I struggle to communicate with the staff I can’t remember the last time I’ve decided to get food and I’ve actually got everything I ordered. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Placed order for 6:20 came in to collect and after I was waiting at front desk for 15 mins a guy finally spoke to me and just said that they haven’t even started my order and it’s now 6:50 and I have only just received my order While I was waiting to be seen I watched staff use the same brush to based the chicken in its sauce on both cooked and raw meat

The food is down to your taste. A lot of other decent takeaways have opened which offer better menus. The place looks tired with a few tables to eat in. Ok for a takeaway. Parking can be hard to find.

Serving staff have zero charisma and look at you like "how dare you walk in here for actual food" 😮 Slow service also. Food quality isn't bad but this is the sixth different pepes I've visited around the UK and I'd put it near the bottom. Oh and parking is appalling!

I’ve been to Pepes loads and I’ve noticed quite a lot changes after the reopening. Before the reopening of Pepes it was my favourite place to go grab food. The people on the front were always happy and seemed to enjoy working. They were always friendly to customers and it’s sad to see that some of those employees haven’t stayed on and the ones who have stayed on don’t seem to like work as much as they used to. The quality of the food has also went down since opening up again and the time I’ve had to wait for my food is crazy. Whoever that guy on the grill is, he’s doing a terrible job with keeping up with orders. However, the guy on the front has always been super polite and helpful when I’m asking about orders.

Both managers are in. If there was an option for 10 stars, I would have definitely rated it that. Brilliant food!

Good food but not as good as other pepes. Abysmal service. My food was ready the whole time but was made to wait for 1 hour. It was just sat there on the table and the staff didn’t check. Went home with cold food and couldn’t get a refund. I get they’re understaffed and busy but pepes need to hire more people then.

Placed an order managed to miss 4 items out of the order managed to catch 3 of them had to go back to get them and unfortunately missed another item while checking the bag.

Last time I came service wasn’t so great but this visit was very different- Was served by a young lady called Milon who provided great customer service. Very polite and friendly!

Extremely poor. 1hr 45 mins and still no food and told to wait or forget the order. Would have been good for them to have rang back and conveyed the delay before driving to the store.

Don’t answer phone calls give wrong orders - thought Pepes was bad before it closed - even worse after it opened up again. Such a shame with the right owners it would run really well.

This place is actually strange, you have 1 person in the kitchen with about 15 tickets (orders), and then 4 people at the till just looking at the phone with their AirPods in, food takes literally an hour to be ready which I’m not surprised by, 4 people standing at the till with 1 person trying to do all the cooking is so strange. Whoever runs that place needs training to clearly run that place. Staff at the till look so moody as well, every time you order it’s as if you’re the inconvenience there.

Freeh, hot piri piri chicken. Service was a tad slower than I would have liked but the chicken was excellent

30 mins wait which was actually 40 mins, seen my food was ready and put under the light on the side, was sitting there for about 10 minutes before 1 of the staff finally went and got it ready for me, chips were pre made atleast 15 mins before and were cold. One staff was saying 30 minutes on food but was outside on the phone having a smoke and giggle. Yeah this pepes aint the one

Great customers service and food

Lady behind counter is very unfriendly. Even i doubt about Halal chicken . No halal certificate on display. AVOIIID!!!

A pretty useless crew. Spend more time chatting and on their phones than doing the job. Always late with food, mistakes on order - i mean who is training them?! Find new staff please!

The food is not halal. So I advice all Muslim brothers and sisters to stay away

Great tasting chicken, average service, terrible atmosphere. This is the sort of place you want to spend as little time and get a takeaway as the inside is quite frankly uninviting. The service is at best underwhelming, with the people working there clearly not interested in doing a good job. However if you are willing to get over all these, the chicken is exceptional. I quite enjoy getting tenders and making my own wraps with their very tasty garlic mayo and other fillings. Probably wouldn’t bother with anything that isn’t their chicken and only get takeaway from here. It’s also relatively cheap.

Paneer advertised as grilled but always deep fried. Every other branch does grilled and it tastes better that way. Please look to changing this.

Amazing chicken wings with their special Pepes Piri Piri sauce XX HOT. Such a delicious place for spicy food lovers. Offers variety of spicy levels to try. The chicken is fresh and the taste is worthy.

Just bought a chicken platter meal. They forgot rice and dips, of course, and said a lame apology when i went back to collect. Worst customer service ever.

Food was OK. Staff need to put a smile on their face you would think it’s the end of the world - also only give one choice of sauce which is mental. I’m from Birmingham and they don’t do that in the pepes here lol. Also very very slow service. Food took about 35 mins which is terrible.

Not a great staff to talk, they charge 50p for everydip u buy on food. He said you are in Leamington not in London. So i think franchies changes their rules for london and Leamington. Thanks pepes for moving to others restaurant next time.

Extremely worse experience of all the pepes I have eaten in the UK. It was a joke when a lady who is probably their manager told me after waiting 30 mins for my order that there is no free sauce with a whole chicken. The total order amount was for £20. Pepes Coventry which is not far from Leamington gives you one sauce if your minimum order is of £5. I paid extra £2 for the sauces. Poor customer service no greeting or smile and rude behaviour. Avoid if you can!

Depends who serving you and whether the shop is busy or not will determine what kind of service is provided.. For the amount of money you are spending surely you can give one extra tub of sauce.. iv had more good experiences than bad so i will give it 3 star..

Dire. Waited over 20 minutes for very little vfm. Chicken wrap for £7 - tiny portion and just a suggestion of lettuce. Fries equally stingy. Wings slimy and disappointing. Inattentive staff, slow moving and sad service. Will not return and would warn anyone against this place.

Pepe’s has always been my good to place when travelling. Ive had it 3 different places in Birmingham and one store in stoke. Maybe once a week minimum. However this one store has been the worst experience to date for me. They are tight with sauces and charge for a tub of sauce where other give 2 per meal. They also didnt make the order good the tasca was loosely packed and dry. It was cold which made it worse. All in all very very disappointed in this one store.

I normally eat pepes daily almost as i don't have much option in Redditch for halal food,and pepes never disappointed me. It was my first experience in leamington on hight street. It was the worst pepes experience, No customer service waited for 15 minutes for one small order not even meal. After 15 i asked how long and they said 10/15 More. I ended up getting my money back. Its for owner watch your staff ruining your business and brand name.

Half an hour to wait on a burger meal without any queue and they have put my drink over the chips. Poor health and safety and poor customer service, when I asked about the drink over the chips they said what is wrong with that 🙈. Avoid. They should wash their hands as well and clean theier cooking space. Chips also cold. Rude staff.

Good service was quiet on Sunday late afternoon.

The food was great, we ordered wings and they were cooked perfectly and were flavoursome. If you are driving, then there is limited parking outside however it is walking distance from the train station and town centre.

Prices gone up, quality down. Android app for ordering is terrible and more expensive as well as trying to sneak in a tip even when collecting orders. Dishonest and best avoided

I have been here 3 times & yesterday decided I'm not spending my money here due to the fact customer service as its absolutely terrible, staff are rude, un helpful & lie about waiting times, my food I ordered was ready sitting there & got served last after others had ordered after me???? Management you are losing customers!!!

Nice choice. Staff ask too many questions when ordering. Quick enough service. Food is over priced IMO. £6 for a skinny burrito - can get a whole 12 inch pizza from Papa John's down the road for £12.

Food and sauce amazing! Whenever im around Im thinking of Pepes ♡ i love their chicken n fries, my bf spoils me with it. I only gave 3 star on atmosphere because its just your run of the mill fast food place when it comes to seating and design (food is top tier tho!). Nice booths, but small building, noisy n drafty with the busy customers, more for take out unless you're heading to work right after. Nice place all n all!

One star for the ridiculously spicy flavour. Staff was friendly and taste was same as other branches but the Extra hot flavour from them was SHOCKING and UNEATABLE. I have eaten extra Hot flavour from so many of their branches but this one was absolutely CRAZY. IT WAS SO hot that I could not breathe properly and couldn’t sleep properly all night because of stomach pain. Unbelievable!

Was given the wrong order , when I called the store they said they were closed and they couldn't make my order again which is fine . I was told when I next came in that I would " be sorted out " I asked what exactly that meant as the staff member didn't seem to be bothered about the wrong order, I guess he wanted to just close the store and go home? I just wanted my order and it to be made correctly and wasn't fussed about anything else. I was told that I would need to pay for my food again when I came in and receive a 15% discount. So I already paid over £7 for a burger and fries that they made wrong and then I should pay around another £5.50 for them to make the order again and that the 15% discount is the only thing they're willing to do? Not sure what is going on at this branch. Quite baffled by the policy as I doubt its against the franchise rules and would have other franchise knees and managera shaking their head. I Asked to speak to the manager and was told they're not in for another 3 days, but I'm not hopeful about it being resolved.

The food is amazing but not big enough for my appetite. The customer service is hit and miss, went in one afternoon and the white lady was quite cold and no eye contact or a smile so walked out and went to the place down the road instead. Decided to try again another day and there was a young black lady who was very smiley and welcoming so we ordered and enjoyed the tasty chicken and commented on the lovely service received on that day.

Big zero for customer service, humble request to the management, kindly train your stuff and teach them manners and how to say sorry, I can imagine Friday night can be busy, I waited over an hour for telephone order and was still pending on my arrival, I found very unpleasant man at the reception and he was not sorry at all for what he has done, wasted my precious time. Please avoid unless management is changed.

Very bad experience customer service is ZERO .person who served me bold head dark skin was Very Rude he don’t know how to speak with customers . I order food at 7pm i been there for collection he didnt admitted and said sorry it’s there mistake . I place the order then after I place new order he charged me 20p for Mayo I gave him one pound and said keep the change .

One word vile rice box with chicken have myself and my brother bad stomach and diarrhea I understand they use bleach to clean the floor and use marigold gloves to touch meat when it's meant to be disposable gloves they have no idea how to run a food industry I've worked as a manager in hospitalty this is inexcusable when serving public food staff are rude speacilly the woman on front who spends half her time on the phone while serving customers I mean her mobile phone avoid this place
