Peri Peri Original in Welwyn Hatfield

First time I've used this place, the choices were really good to pick from. I went for the mixed kebab platter with chips! Delivery was quick & Food tasted amazing, only complaint was the food was pretty cold.

food was forget called asking for my kids meals and got told to make another order these guys didn't seem to care that stuff was missing and more concerned about making another order .......then got to the rest of the food and it was stone cold

My friend ordered 1 min before me he got it after 20 mins then I had to wait another 30 mins to get the food so total 50 mins. They have shit service and average food.

The food was good, the burrito was a little disappointing if im honest, i expected more ingredients that werent just chicken and rice but honestly the flavour and size was great. The fries were exactly what i wanted. The spicy three piece wings were a bit underwhelming as they werent really spicy and the coating/batter came off them quickly it was pretty much falling off, however they were still nice enough. The dips (garlic and peri mayo) were absolutely amazing

Maybe they deserved 5 stars right after opening. Today it's dirty there and the customer seats are destroyed. There's dirt everywhere, there's dust on the shelf where they keep the takeaway trays, the glass at the checkout remembers the Covid times and was probably last washed then. Chicken strips should be made from tenderloin, but it was just cut chicken breast. Couriers enter the kitchen area in their dirty jackets. Mango lime sauce? I don't know what it was made of, but it didn't taste like that, it was artificial. I'm not giving one star, because the wings, surprisingly, were well grilled and quite good. Salad? Big pieces as if someone had chopped them with an axe. Generally, I won't go there again and I will never order anything from there.

I never ever had this type of experience in my life. I had high hopes for Peri Peri Original, but my recent dining experience was extremely disappointing. The food was barely edible. The chicken was dry and overcooked, lacking the juicy tenderness you'd expect from a place that specializes in Peri Peri. The seasoning was inconsistent, with some parts of the chicken being unbearably spicy and others completely bland. The service was equally terrible. The staff seemed disinterested and inattentive, taking forever to take our order and even longer to bring the food. Our drinks were forgotten, and when we reminded them, they brought the wrong ones. The overall atmosphere felt chaotic and unwelcoming. They way they serve food was unacceptable. I won't be returning and would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a decent meal or good service.

Husband at 10:30 went into store and just ordered me a PLAIN doner kebab.. he has brought me home something totally different which is lettuce garlic and maybe mayo? The doner is slabs (like as thick as a gammon steak thick..)of doner it’s not nice thin bits so can’t even work out if it is doner or really what the hell it is.. if they can’t get a basic order of a plain doner right then somethings majorly a miss here. God knows how much quiet literally in the bin..I never write reviews but my god I felt compelled to with this

Due to going in with 2 young kids and being from out of town. The other shop next door had no seating. Peri peri original franchise has some decent places.So we went in and ordered our food. Peri chicken, burger, fried chicken chips etc. Usual stuff. The place on closer inspection looked disgusting. I knew we were in trouble because we'd ordered and they had already put the chicken on to cook. There's 4-5 blokes staff & friends chatting away. Yet the other tables a mess. Disinterested in keeping a level of hygiene required for a decent fast food place. On closer inspection you could see the grease all over the shop. Unclean counter etc. The food came, I took a bite and it just didn't taste like normal peri peri forget about getting great food. OK food would suffice in this situation. A few more difficult bites and I just couldn't touch anything else. My daughter had a few bites of the burger and my partner had some peri and a burger. It was awful. The worst food ever. I don't normally write reviews. That night we were all running to the loo. Stomach aches etc. My poor child. Glad the other one didn't touch a thing phew. Save ur kids and U getting sick. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

When I took the food to the restaurant, they did not agree with the fact that it was stale and started arguing with me and insulting me! Worst staff in the restaurant! WOULD NEVER ORDER AGAIN!

I don’t even want to give 1 star… wasted £22 , food was awful! Half chicken was not cooked properly, chicken had a bad smell to it , I shouldn’t say this about food but, it literally smelt like Thera was a dirty nappy in the bag 🤢 which made us wanna vomit. Chicken nuggets were rock solid so could not eat, chips were cold and soggy. After being told 10 mins had to wait almost 30 mins for the food, people who came after us got their food! Extremely disappointed and waste of money, will not be returning here again. Food has been wasted and my money has been wasted.

Ordered for a BBQ wing, but was served with a fried wing covered with BBQ sauce. It is probably not an unintentional mistake, but looks like they were trying to push unfold fried chicken covered with BBQ sauce. Was actually referred by a friend and been really disappointed.

Food came late and cold. When it did arrive 2 items were missing for my daughter. When we called the restaurant they took ages to finally find out they messed up, said they had no driver to re deliver & refused to issue refund. Absolute shambles of a place would not take my dog there to eat! Do not use.

Over the last year, the price has escalated to a ridiculous point. Not only has the base price gone up, the Delivery Fee has gone from £1 to £2.49. The Service Charge has gone from 50p to 10%. Daylight robbery... I'll be looking for a new source of fried chicken from now on, which is a shame, as the food is good...

As of recently their delivery times had been occasionally early. Sadly this time it is inexcusable being 35 mins late, made worse by saying the food had left the kitchen within 15 mins of ordering, means actual delivery took over an hour. Food was luke warm and zero apology from the driver. Enough, you lost my future patronage.

Their grilled stuff is nice but their fried stuff isn’t great. Sometimes their perk chips are really good, other times they aren’t cooked right. Delivery with this shop is horrid. Every time I’ve ordered through uber eats, it takes at least 1 hour to come. It would say 35-55 minutes but never has it come in that time. Therefore, the food is quite cold by the time it arrives. I would stay away from their “spicy” fried wings. They aren’t spicy at all. They don’t have any taste. I would only get their burgers, wraps, chips and anything grilled.

Got chips and cheese yesterday the place looked dirty, chips tasted OK but all came out of me within 20 minutes, had horrific food poisoning all night and still the next day I can't eat or drink anything I may need to go hospital I'm in so much pain. I have saved some of the meal to send to environmental health. When I told my friends apparently they are well aware of its reputation for a bad belly after.

We order very regularly from this place and unfortunately the last 2 times we have received food it’s been cold. Today we rang back and asked for it to be re sent as it was completely inedible as it was 20 mins late and completely cold. They said they would but would take 50 minutes. It’s been over an hour and 45 mins since re ordering and our food is still not here so basically it’s taken over 3 hours to receive a burger and chips.

Absolutely disgraceful. The service from the restaurant is atrocious. Been waiting for the food for over 90 minutes now and when calling the restaurant, they speak with rudeness and no empathy or understanding at all. They are telling me its been delivered. Sorry mate, it hasn't! If it had, I would be eating it! Avoid this place like the plague. Terrible service and customer care. Never again!

Every time I order through Deliveroo, they accept my order and they don't deliver it. It's a big problem. Super unprofessional and very annoying because I have to go through the provider to get a refund and it takes days to get back to my card.

I ordered a burrito and there was plastic in my burrito. The overall taste was nice however until I took a bite of plastic inside my burrito I chucked it away. It is absolutely horrific and never would recommend this place ever.
