Fantastic pub atmosphere, very friendly staff. Very clean pub. Had a few drinks then a meal. The meals were really nice but the steaks were a bit chewy and fatty but overall lovely meals.

It is one of our favourite local pub n restaurant. All staff are friendly. The food is nice. Lovely atmosphere.. I always come here if I fancy a steak. 😋.. Came back here again 2 weeks later. N I had 40oz Tomahawk steak 😋 Absolutely delicious..

Visited last night for a family meal and I'm so glad we chose this pub as the place to go. Everyone in our party was so happy with the food, the service, and the atmosphere of the pub, it made it a perfect evening for a special occasion. Thanks so much to all the staff for being so welcoming.

Just had our Christmas Day at the Phoenix, service and food was amazing, highly recommend, so much so booked again for this Christmas!

We frequent the Phoenix about twice a week. The staff, familiar with our regular visits, are always warm and inviting. The food is consistently delicious and perfectly cooked. We're so happy and lucky to have your pub nearby and love visiting it! Thank you.

It was a very busy Christmas Eve and the pub was packed out. We were greeted at the table check in desk and after a short wait were shown to our table for four. We ordered drinks which arrived quite promptly. After ordering our meals, I expected that there might be a long wait because the pub was very busy. I was wrong, 10 minutes after ordering, our meals were on the table! Our waitress was obviously very busy but she remained calm, unflustered and attentive. We had an excellent family meal. I don't live locally but I can heartily recommend The Phoenix because of it's excellent service and good quality meals. Oh, the beers were on song too! We will return!

Visited at the weekend for breakfast with Santa, what an amazing experience made all the better by Becky the elf who had so much time for my children getting down to their level and giving us a real personal experience. The food was presented well and came out quickly all piping hot. The cost of the morning was well worth the money. Looking forward to next year.

We booked a breakfast with Santa here. The tables were organised so that big groups could fit together easily and the time slots for everyone to eat and then visit Santa worked well, no queuing or stood around waiting, just one of the elves to fetch us. Our particular Elf - Becky, did an amazing job. She hyped up the kids and got them excited and got really involved with them and I think this made the experience even better. Santa also played a great part, spending lots of time with the kids and we never at all felt rushed, he read the children's letters and answered their questions etc. The breakfast was also lovely and all the orders were correct etc. Would definitely recommend and would definitely do it again next year. Festive family gathering. 11 adult s and two children. Very Very busy but staff smiling attentive, friendly and helpful. All food came out at same time hot and very good quality ( although they did forget the pigs in blankets on the Turkey dinners!) Not rushed at all. Drinks and service very good. Enjoyed!

We were a large party of 28. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The meals arrived quickly and all together. The food was good and hot and we received everything we had ordered without any issues.

I had booked for 19 of us to have Christmas dinner there because of fantastic previous experience there. I cannot fault either the staff, food or venue! So friendly and helpful. So lovely a meal and in a lovely area where the furniture was rearranged to suit us better. As a group we have visited many pubs in Sheffield and not one has out performed The Phoenix which is why we go back! All credit to the lovely staff ❤️

Had a brilliant breakfast with santa, the food was lovely and the staff were fantastic. Becky the elf made it a magical experience and all of the children thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Becky even made sure the school Teddy bear was included. It was a relaxing morning, and the children weren't rushed when meeting santa. Booked the Phoenix for a pre-Christmas get together for 19. Online order system made it easy to pre-book everyone’s meals. The staff were brilliant; really helpful. Food was fantastic. Everybody in our party has said how much they all enjoyed it. We would highly recommend the Phoenix to anyone wanting a great meal, in a lovely pub, with amazing staff and service. Thank you to the team there.

Lovely lunch special with my Hubby. Bev looked after us and was helpful, friendly and efficient. The food was delicious with plenty of choice on the menu, we shall return.

We are regulars at the Phoenix and always receive a very good welcome from Adam, his customer service skills are excellent and nothing is never too much trouble. Adam is an asset to the phoenix and you know that you will always be well looked after when he is on shift.

Very busy in the bar as a Friday night we turned up early for our booked table which was no problem and got took straight to our table Served by the lovely Ryan and we both had the Steak, we did have a couple of errors in the orders but even when we spilt a drink Ryan dealt with everything with efficiency and professionalism and even replaced the spilt drink for us, thank you for making our Friday steak night so enjoyable Will definitely be back again 10/10

Absolutely brilliant place. The food was excellent and really reasonably priced. The service was superb and the staff could not do enough for us. Lovely afternoon in picturesque surroundings. Can't recommend the pub enough.

We had my baby shower here on a Saturday afternoon. Large space designated for us privately. Food provided were really nice and presented lovely. Staff couldn’t do anymore for us, everything we asked for they provided. Only thing that disappointed me was there were no music coming from the speakers which I had only realised half way through, however they provided me with a Bluetooth speaker which solved the problem. I would definitely recommend hosting your baby shower or any private event here.

Called in this afternoon for the £12 burger & beer deal. Great staff, great food, great beer at a great price. Well done team👏👏

Amazing food and drinks. Was a shame it was spoilt with us having to wait 25 minutes for someone to move our plates. They where only moved because the chef came out with our deserts after shouting for staff attention to say they where ready to go out. The chef ended up bringing our deserts out and was shocked the table hadn't been cleaned. He was very apologetic and took all our stuff away.

We love visiting the Phoenix, just a short drive from home! The warm welcome and friendly atmosphere make it our top choice among local pubs. Even without a reservation, we easily found a quiet table by the fire on a busy Sunday afternoon. The extensive menu offers delightful options, from a fresh Rainbow Grain Salad with Salmon to a hearty Ultimate BBQ Grill Platter. They cater well to dietary needs, and the beer selection is excellent. Plus, well-behaved dogs are welcomed and pampered! Highly recommend this gem for a cozy meal!

The waitress was miserable ….. Had mini mixed grill and a pudding . Left most of the mini mixed grill the egg wasn’t cooked in the middle put me off the meat was dry left it . the chips rubbish. the sausage was the best part very tasty my friend had the mini mixed grill and hers was the same she left hers .when the waitress came back for the plates I told her about the eggs and she mumbled something but that was it x the pudding was amazing love lumpy custard x good job the company was why we was there for a catch up 💕x the next table was just sending there steak back this time the landlady serving not be going again what a shame and waste of money

Just been here for a birthday. Got in about 11.45 as we were booked in for then party of 6. Stood at the door with an elderly couple eventually went to the bar as they did. 5 minutes later no-one came. General manager behind bar eventually seated the two elderly people. Passed myself and friend about four times never acknowledged us apologised for having to wait or anything just kept walking past us. Eventually came to bar about 10 minutes later to serve no apology for keeping us waiting. Very abrupt. Think he really needs to go on a course of how to treat customers. Atmosphere completely changed when a young manager came on with other staff about 12. He was really efficient got waitresses sorted with tables. Think maybe he ought to be general manager. Really people orientated and friendly. The pub was busy when we got there only two staff working. Think if you are going to be busy then get staff coming in an hour earlier. Would advise getting general manager on course to relate with customers.

Fantastic Sunday Dinner, Debbie the waitress was brilliant. Both of the kids ate everything & Jaxons ( Children’s) ice cream was enough for two. Needless to say I have booked for this Sunday.

Always receive such a great service here, one of our favourite local pubs. Ange and Xavier make a great duo! Xavier is always so welcoming, remembers your drink order which is impressive and is such a lovely guy!! Food and drink are always spot on!

As regular visitors to the Phoenix, it’s always good to be able to mention when they’ve gone the extra mile. Our usual lunch is Thursday, but today we needed to go on a Wednesday. We rang them quite late to check availability and Mark booked us in without problem. We received a warm welcome from manager Jamie and our waitress Beverley,who we rarely see, was very efficient and remembered us. Being regulars we know most of the staff very well and are never disappointed. So we weren’t surprised when Adam and Lacey went out of their way to speak with us and share a laugh. Add in good food, cosy atmosphere including a log fire on a particularly miserable day and you have the perfect combination for a lovely lunch. We will be back next Thursday as normal.

Had to take a few days to get my thoughts together. Absolutely disappointed and left crying. My Sons birthday is in November and we always come to the pheonix (his request) there's usually 24 of us and x2 babies. We always book well in advance and pre - order. Went to pay the deposit on Saturday to be greeted by a "manager" who was highly rude! Made me cry, left feeling like our money wasn't good enough, got told they were too busy and we couldn't sit where we always sit. Would have been cramped in a side part - which wouldnt have worked with the steps as my sister has a mobile scooter! We have had to find an alternative place now. Unfortunately we won't be coming back again now. Think your "male manager" needs to work on his manners and customer service. I will say that a younger gentleman on the reception did try his best to help.

Saturday evening, 12th October, my Mum,Dad,wife and I arrived at the Phoenix and were welcomed with a smile. A young lady, Emily, showed us to our table and revelled at the delights on the menu. Shortly after she took our drinks order and explained the drinks in the menu.Emily's colleague, a polite young man ( possibly Xavier), took our order and in what seemed like no time at all ( even though it was full ) our food arrived. A share starter ( recommended) and then our main meals arrived. The food was delicious and very filling. Throughout our evening, Emily made sure that everything was good and eventually ( without much persuasion) she ordered our desert. Again, it was delicious and came with a coffee, so it was a great choice. Emily laughed and joked with us, and even after a 12-hour shift, collecting various aches and pains, she never faded from being smiley, happy, and friendly. Thank you, Emily, and the whole team at The Phoenix. We will return. Recommended to anyone wanting delicious food at a fair price, a warm atmosphere, and friendly and helpful staff. What more do you need!

Googled dog friendly pubs and this did not disappoint, in the doorway are blankets and treats. There are set areas for dogs and they are as cute as the rest of the place. The staff could not be more invested and friendly, the atmosphere relaxed and the food cooked to perfection.

Me and a friend met here for lunch, we had the 3 cheese with caramelised onion chutney ciabatta each which came with a side salad also had the skin on fries each, the food was delicious and plenty of it, personally there wasn't enough cheese but that's just my preference, also we had the coffee and cake dessert which was also delicious, the staff are so nice, polite and very helpful even at very busy times so we will definitely be returning.

We had a graduation meal tonight for 36 people. All food was pre order. All I can say is the service & food was fabulous. Adam and the bar staff/kitchen staff did an amazing job. Couldn't recommend them all enough. Thankyou for making it a lovely evening for all of us.

9 of us celebrating a 70th birthday. We all had different dishes. We were well looked after by the staff. Plates and a suitable knife were supplied for cutting our homemade cake. Thankyou for looking after us.

Came for an evening drink 23/08/24, my partner went to buy round and was simply treated like an idiot when asking about drink options. Terrible attitude from the server and completely unnecessary. I will not be allowing her to go to the bar if we ever return. This needs addressing if you want return custom.

Great place to visit, went on a Wednesday evening, they were very busy but took there time to make use feel very welcomed, informed us there would be a little wait but attended to all our needs, all staff were very friendly and couldn’t do enough on the evening Great food and a great evening will be going again

As regular customers we were super disappointed with our food today. The ribs on the ultimate bbq grill (£20.99) were cold to touch and the wings were burnt, which was very off putting. The ultimate burger (£15.99) which I absolutely loved last time, was bland and only had one tiny onion ring on it instead of the ‘nest’ that is in the description. We know as regulars this is not their usual standard and we want to stress that the staff were amazing as always and we are always grateful to be served by such lovely people. However, we were very disappointed with the compensation of 2 cokes with no suggestion of discount on our food, even though the ribs were taken away. The staff did offer us free deserts but after being very disappointed with the mains, but we didn’t want to chance it. We sadly left disappointed and nearly £40 down.

Whether it's Sunday lunch or ultimate bbq we've never been let down. Food amazing and plenty of polite staff to help keep things flowing nicely. Our 1st choice of green king pubs because of how friendly and efficient this place is run⭐

We had a wonderful Sunday lunch. The food was absolutely delicious, with generous portions and flavorful ingredients. The roast potatoes were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, and the gravy was rich and hearty. Our waitress, Debs, was a real gem. Her friendly and cheerful demeanor made our dining experience even more enjoyable. She was attentive, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Overall, we had a fantastic time and would highly recommend this place for a Sunday lunch.

Visited today for my birthday, I had a veg pie, chips peas and gravy the crust was rock hard, even my dog had problems chewing it, inside was a red mixture of some kind! It's was a little spicy, but I couldn't identify any veg. The food quality has definitely dropped since my last visit.

A lovely country pub/restaurant in a beautiful location. The phoenix is pretty much my local and has been for many years. Despite the fact that the pub/restaurant is part of the greene king group, the menu is miles away from the standard Greene king menu (no mega belly buster deals here, thank goodness). It’s not a football or sports bar, just a great country pub/restaurant with a chilled atmosphere. The landlord (Jamie) will go above and beyond to make sure your experience here is as good as it can be.

Very accommodating last minute to find room for us after a family funeral. Very nice staff, atmosphere and food.

Fantastic food the T-bone steak was cooked to perfection, medium-rare is what I asked for and it was perfect the meat was so tender.

We held a baby shower here and the service was brilliant. The food was lovely and great value. We were really well looked after. We had someone who needed gluten free food and she said it was some of the best she’s had! We also had a small breakfast just because of the timing of everything and it was such lovely food - especially for the cost. Would definitely recommend

The Vegan burger I had was lovely...

Std big pub mostly focussed on weekend food. It's OK, but not a pub I'd choose for a beer. The beer is OK, just st big and anonymous. Last time, got some verbal as I walked in from young scrote by the entrance. Who needs that.

Staff friendly and professional. Lovely place with nice beer garden. The Sunday diner was not nice. Had to pre order meat turkey was processed. Everyone meal arrived cold and fir tge price you pay you don't expect to have to pay extra for cauliflower cheese and mashed potatoe. Asked for mashed potatoe and was told they didn't have any this was at 1pm. Won't be going again for Sunday lunch. Overall our party spent over £300

We had a retirement party here yesterday and just wanted to say how much everyone enjoyed it! The room, food, service, atmosphere...everything. Nothing was too much trouble. Jamie was great throughout the process of booking it, ordering the food and looking after us on the day. Everyone enjoyed it and everyone commented on what a great place it was and how good the food was!! Thankyou to everyone at the Phoenix!!!
