Just picked up our meal’s . Everything was swimming in grease… the oil on the spring rolls smelt like it needed changing , But I thought ok it’s 8.30 … then hairs after one mouthful was the final straw … never again

chicken was really rubbery everything else was ok

We ordered Fish & chips with Curry and peas which unfortunately was 30 mins late. The chips were not to the normal standard and were a bit 'bitty' and overcooked.

Had to chase up order as it was 30 mins after delivery time. To be expected on a Saturday night, no real issue. The driver/ courier was polite and apologetic. Would use again 👍🏼

Depending which chef is working (there are at least 2) the food is either 5 star or 3. On this occasion I was lucky. It's a shame one isn't so good as it puts me off going.

The food was late and cold. Also the wrong food was sent. We ordered Green Pepper and Blackbean with Chicken but we received Beef. The spring rolls were cold and soggy.

I have been a frequent customer at Phone a Meal for years but unfortunately won’t be ordering from here again. Our food was 2.5 hours late! I understand Saturdays are busy, but the restaurant wouldn’t even answer their phone to give an update on our order, for over 2 hours! Abysmal. Shouldn’t be accepting orders if they can’t meet them.

Not the best. Chips awful from here. Sui Mais average aswell. Fish is the best thing at this Chippy now, 10/10 for that.

food is normally good but unfortunately the chipped weren't cooked and the ribs where cremated

usually pretty decent meal but the burgers tonight were terrible. very over cooked and pretty much inedible, they ended up in the bin after a couple of bites. Very disappointed as we've had food from here a fair few times

Been poor last few orders, this time round was a bit tasteless, not what you expect from a curry.

Ordered via JE app having had a good meal and on time a few week ago. Hit very lucky obviously as tonight's delivery was 15 mins late and luke warm. Beef green pepper black bean sauce average to poor and chicken pineapple was so gloopy, disgusting to point worst Chinese ever had, it's already in the bin. If we'd took notice of previous TA comments, we'd have never have used this outlet.

Second time used this food outlet within a month, and what a difference and have to agree with trip advisor reviews ....do not use, definitely not recommended. Food luke warm, beef green pepper black bean sauce 6/10 poor quality meat and as for chicken pineapple, disgustingly gloomy, and tasteless 0/10. Egg fried rice x2 fair.

Disgraceful once again came back from holiday today ordered food at 7.10pm it’s now 8.50 pm no food been promised it 20 mins ago and once again they don’t answer the phone this late what a bloody awful service don’t promise what you can’t deliver you should be ashamed of yourselves again I love your food but the service is shocking beyond belief I am so angry 😡

Pre ordered food for party of 11 through Just Eat which sadly arrived late. Overall the quality of the food that arrived was disappointing. The hot & sour soup was neither hot nor sour, a bland bright red liquid with minimal ingredients. Chicken & sweetcorn soup just bland gloop. Spring rolls squashed flat lacking filling. Main courses not very flavoursome and the king prawns were dry and tough. All food temperature was just tepid. Will not use this takeaway again which is disappointing as it was once our favourite. An expensive waste of money.

Chinese with a banter. The staff here are very friendly, dog friendly and makes up for the chinese cuisine. The fish and chips would be a great alternative.

Missing item which was disappointing unable to contact restaurant

Cant go wrong with this place. Duck was fantastic cooked to my liking as asked. Only thing could do with more than 6 pancakes but for price anyway is fantastic. Hot n sour soup was amazing full of meat aswell. Portion of prawn crackers was massive. Salt n pepper chicken fab too. Honestly couldn't fault a thing. Was guttered when I tried to order again few nights after but must have been night it's closed. Defo recommend this place and it's defo my go to now.

Myself and family have used phone a meal for a long time. Ordered delivery a few months ago for pie and chips...the pies were grey, rubbery and obviously old. The chips were also old, when they go hard and chewy. Tonight I decided to give them another chance on the english menu. The chop suey roll was thin batter and looked like it was left over from lunch time. The chips? Well..let the photo speak for itself. Totally inedible (I put part of it on plate to show). Saturday night, I at least expected quick turn around of food..so it would all be fresh. Not so. Maybe more people are realising the quality has nose dived. Will be moving on to other places now

Well, after us ordering for many years, tonight was the final straw. Foo Yung has always been great but tonight it was undercooked scrambled egg. The fried rice was room temp (not safe). Not good enough. No more orders from us.

REALLY FED UP OF THE INCONSISTENCY IN QUALITY. Either all of the food is good or all of the food is awful. Must have something to do with the cooking staff but it becomes a waste of money when it's like tonights. Horrible chips, chewy with a nasty taste, like reheated old ones. Cod nothing like Cod, tasteless and full of grey fish. Batter very greasy and hard- yuk. Whoever manages the place needs to deal with this issue.

My order was delivered very quickly, earlier than expected time. The food was delicious and hot.

Absolute disgrace. Took money via justeat, but didn't deliver order. When I called, they pushed me back onto justeat, who also wouldn't refund. I asked phoneameal if they could just do the order again, but wouldn't.

Only found phone a meal during COVID lockdowns after living in Formby for years. The price is amazing, the food is delicious and the delivery is prompt and also very friendly. Highly recommend
