Lovely French restaurant… it’s a lovely spot and a nice break from the hustle and bustle of Oxford Street and Soho. The food was good, but the set menu was a fab choice. Nice to have an affordable 2 course meal in the heart of London. Would like to take my parents when they next visit London.

Been here 4 times, never had bad service like this time. Booked the table, waited for half hour to order, kept getting ignored, I know it was busy but people came after us already got their food. Then waiter told me set menu were sold out. We were about to leave then they told me not to leave we can order the set menu. We left anyway, being treated with no respect. Too disappointed.

You can’t go wrong! I had a reservation for the New Year’s Eve dinner, so, obviously I had to pay a little more (£23 per person for 1 starter and 1 main course), but the food was amazing. One of the best Steak Tartare’s I’ve ever eaten in my life! Also, their Salmon was incredibly delicious. The waiters are very friendly and polite. I surely am coming back to this restaurant in future trips to London!

My dish was the tartar. I really enjoyed it but would have love if it was served with breads of the sort. It was served with fries 🍟. The fries were yummy. The French onion soup was delicious. I give those two dishes 4.5/5. Now the salmon and the crab bisque were disappointing. The crab bisque was way too salty (3 people tried it and ... Salty). The salmon had a very bland and even fishy taste. Then there were the steak dishes, these were pretty good. The atmosphere was superb. Candles and warmth. The servers were pretty good as well. However, I wouldn't say friendly. Making a reservation is a good thing to do. When I had told the restaurant a time that I could get in, they made sure that the table was ready for me by that time. I appreciated that. Every person is expected to order a main course as well. This is a place to have a full meal and not a snack.

My recent experience at Pierre Victoire was deeply disappointing due to the unwelcoming and unprofessional service. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel unwelcome, creating an uncomfortable atmosphere. Despite having a reservation, our dining experience was marred by a series of unpleasant interactions with the waitstaff. The restaurant was overcrowded and uncomfortably warm. After finishing our main course, our waitress abruptly cleared our table, including our unfinished bread, without asking. When we pointed this out, her dismissive response and rude "calm down" remark were unacceptable. While she did return the bread, a simple apology would have been more appropriate. As we were finishing our wine and considering the dessert menu, a waiter approached us and rudely demanded to know if we were going to order anything else. Despite our polite response that we were still thinking, he sarcastically repeated our words and, once again, removed our bread. His aggressive questioning about our "problem" further escalated the situation and made us feel extremely uncomfortable. The final straw was the same waiter aggressively throwing our bill on the table. This disrespectful behavior left us feeling unwelcome and completely ruined our evening. While the food was satisfactory, the appalling service overshadowed the entire experience. I strongly advise seeking out establishments where customer service is valued and respected.

I wouldn't be put off by the negative reviews. No, it's not going to compete with the finest establishments, but I could only find fault in over- and under-salted soups and overpriced desserts for the given size and quality in some, but not all, cases. The more clever ideas for desserts pulled their punches, unfortunately. We appreciate any place serving a carafe of wine, which really suits us, personally, for the fun of sharing and appropriate quantity. Flavours and technique on the mains were well developed and more than competent. Atmosphere can be overly bright, but the lights were eventually dimmed and the candles warmed the space nicely. Seating can be tight, especially larger bodies. Otherwise, I'd be happy to return.

A Wonderful Experience! The evening I spent today at Pierre Victorie was truly unforgettable. The atmosphere was warm and inviting from the beginning to the end. The stylish decoration and cosy atmosphere made me feel at home immediately. The food was excellent! Especially entrecote was fresh and delicious. The chef's care was evident in every detail. The Tiramisu we tried for dessert was a masterpiece. It was both delicious and had an eye-catching presentation. The service was also excellent; the waiters were extremely courteous and professional. All our dishes were served quickly and they made sure everything was in its place. The prices are definitely very reasonable for the quality. It is really rare to find such delicious food and excellent service at such prices. I highly recommend Pierre Victorie, it is the perfect place for a romantic dinner or a cosy get-together with friends. I look forward to my next visit!

This was a lovely discovery when out with my father and some friends. The food was delicious and the staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. Our lamb was done to absolute perfection and its French onion soup was truly mouthwatering. The only reason I deducted one star is because we'd been told about its pre 6pm meal deal, but by the time we got seated and a waiter came to take our order, it was now just before 6.10pm. So no meal deal. The difference in cost was quite substantial, but the for was so delicious it kinda made up for it. So despite that we left happy.

The atmosphere was lively, and the overall vibe felt pleasant right from the start. The food initially seemed acceptable, but I sadly suffered from food poisoning—most likely from the salmon gravlax, which arrived suspiciously quickly and may not have been fresh. The two glasses of wine were fine, and the duck breast was decent, though I couldn’t finish it before becoming seriously ill. The restaurant appears in all the guides and attracts many tourists, but I cannot recommend it given my experience.

Excellent food, ambience, and service. We did wait a while for our table despite booking in advance (about 15-20 minutes) but frankly it was well worth the wait. The oysters (we had 18 in total) were the best I’ve ever had which I do not say lightly. We were given lots of fresh bread, and even offered impromptu tobasco for the oysters. The scallops were really excellent, all of our mains were delicious, and the desserts were also really great. The sticky toffee pudding in particular was lovely. We had a hiccup with the crab bisque, which didn’t taste quite right, but this was very quickly replaced without a fuss with a wonderful fried Camembert. For anyone looking for an intimate and social French restaurant with amazing food and really, really good service, I’d highly recommend this restaurant.

Agree with several of the previous diners We have often met here for catch up dinners but can honestly say it was not a good choice this time The place had a constant influx of Christmas party dinners who were over loud and non respectful of other guests , snd a corresponding constant movement of tables and furniture plus being regularly being badgered by waiting staff for orders Clearly they had over booked yet we had made an online booking the week before ....but the Crux came when we were waiting for a glass of wine and the manager came and told us we had to go I still had 3/4 of a glass of wine left He clearly missed the classes on etiquette, good manners and how to communicate with your clients and just told us to go My friend and I stood our ground and pointed to our reservation which did not stipulate an end time snd we had indeed enjoyed many evenings there chatting and spending money on additional wine Eventually they agreed we could move to another table to finish the galas of wine we were drinking and the additional one ordered The tables were dangerously close to each other and the candles being toppled or wobbled so query the health and safety / fire hazards as they appeared to exceed sensible numbers seated many hemmed in due to the closeness of the tables When ever we tried to talk to the owner snd manager they just talked over us failed to listen snd were clearly not interested in our points of view We will never return They were only interested in you getting your food paying them and getting you out Not an experience I'd like to repeat

Had a lovely meal at Pierre Victoire! The confit duck was fantastic – crispy skin, tender meat that wasn’t rough or dry, and the gravy added a warm, hearty touch. The foie gras mousse was equally delightful, with the toast and apple balancing the flavors beautifully. Wine list was adequate, offering great selection to complement the dishes. The restaurant had great vibes, perfect for a cosy evening. Staff were mostly helpful and attentive. However, the service felt a bit rushed. We were ignored by the servers as a group and were met condescending attitude by the bald chubby server when asked about certain items on the menu. The icing on the cake is when we asked for the bill, the same server just brought out the card machine with the total, so we had no idea what each item cost. When asked for a receipt, he went to print one out again with an attitude. This is when we noticed quite a difference in what the total that he showed us was and what each item cost. When we pointed it out, he said it was a mistake and charged us then correctly. It really felt like we were being scammed. Avoid at all costs if you are a person of colour

Passing by this little restaurant outside Tottenham Court Road tube, as you head into the heart of Soho, could be a mistake, as this is a pure Gem! On a very wet weekend in London, we stopped here for an impromptu lunch & to dodge the rain, & what a lovely find it was! Staff are accommodating, friendly & service is swift! Possibly a little too swift, but understandable based on the size of restaurant & the need to turn covers quickly. The food is good, very good & has a good French vibe, although in my view could be more authentic. However the lunchtime offer, Steak & Chips with a decent Peppercorn sauce. Cooked well, & to each of our parties preference, which was great to see. Reasonably priced with a glass of House wine or a soft drink at £19.90. As it was lunch, I opted for the French Onion soup-delicious! Lovely sweet, caramelised onions, with gooey melted French cheese on French bread, in a super base, which had a good flavour, I did feel it lacked the depth of flavour compared to some French Onion Soups I have eaten, but nevertheless, it was decent. Deserts were equally good, & the Tarte Tatin was excellent! However, the £9.50 price point was a tad toppy, but typically London & Soho! Overall, a great spot, not to be passed by and replaced by one of the many, mediocre & lesser restaurant options the deeper you enter into SOHO.

Fabulous little French bistro ... Last here in 2005, and in 2024 still has great food and character. Highly recommend.

We visited this French restaurant a month ago, with my two friends for a quick set lunch.Food is OK, as you won't expect too much from 20ish set lunch deal.

Can't believe I've been coming to this place for over 20 years, in it's various guises. And the food remains true to the french bistro style. The service was quick and polite, quite unlike real french waiters!

So the past 30 years my wife & I have been dining in Pierre Victoire restaurants around the country & we were so sad to see the one close down in our local town in Hampshire. So finding this little gem in Soho London we were looking forward to the visit. Met some friends for Lunch & we opted for the two-course menu as there were plenty of choice. First impressions of stepping through the front door the layout looked great & the staff were very warming . Food was amazing & with a perfect ambience & good company made the whole experience of dining at Pierre Victoire a most pleasant one. It will now be our default restaurant to eat at when we're in London town again. Thanks for your service

We only had drinks and dessert but will absolutely be coming back to this wonderful, welcoming restaurant. The cappuccinos I had were extraordinary (although not large) and definitely the tastiest I've had so far, which is saying a lot! Our foursome each had different desserts and, though a bit pricey, they were likely the best examples of each kind that we had all had. My Mousse au Chocolate was probably more close to average than Scott's Banoffee Pie and Will's Tiramisu, both of which were absolutely spectacular and possibly the best of their kind we have had. Amazing, friendly, welcoming, and generous atmosphere - and the toilets were super clean and extremely well turned out!

The food was eatable, though they managed to ruin a steak tartare with a sweet sauce. Beef Bourgogne was ok, not the best I had. All the experience was mediocre and expensive. Don't feel bad if you pass.

This venue was slightly off the hustle and bustle of Soho but a great find. Upon entry you get the Parisienne vibe with the layout, music and table set up. The menu offers reasonable portions and options and the food is flavoursome and well presented. So glad we managed to get a booking here. Would definitely recommend and return!

I know that is central London. I know that eating out is expensive now. But £75 for 3 glasses of wine between 2 people and one sliced tomato with 3(!) anchovies on top seems a bit too much. The three glasses we ordered were natural wines, trendy but quite simple wines. No complexity or any particular note to add. I like natural wine, but £50 for 3 glasses...come on! The last glass was presented as similar to an Argentinian Malbec. We got a natural fizzy chilled red, with poor concentration of flavours. Completely other side of the spectrum. If you want to charge these prices, try to provide what your prices are claiming to offer. Very disappointed!

Prices are ridiculously overcharged, for a bottle of 15£ they ask you for 55£ and so on, so we asked for some beers, mine was expired, they changed it but don't pay too much attention or apologize, they even include us service charge after that( while service didn't exist at all) So definitely not worthy to visit.

Notable
