Pips Chips is a little gem. If you want really good quality traditional fish n chips, pies etc, or anything else off Pips great menu, you won’t be disappointed. We’re occasional visitors to Grimsby and always try to visit Pips, it’s just great. Lovely food including homemade gravy and sauces etc, we can’t praise them enough.

First visited this chippy when following a Hartlepool away game in April `23 and remembered how good the food was, so went back as I was working nearby! Still fantastic tasting fish and chips - fresh clean white Haddock with a nice batter, and crisp chips complimented by a nice portion of mushy peas. Thoroughly enjoyable and coupled with really friendly service. Highly recommended!

Got told about this place from locals & they were right. Staff super friendly. Not a huge fan of batter but the Fish & Chips with extra bits were amazing & they did battered haggis!!! Great prices & definitely worth visiting.

I had heard of this place on Facebook so I thought I'd give it a try. First visit I had chips with their cheese sauce. This was nice and worth the money. The lady serving told me they also did a home made liver & onion gravey I knew I'd be back to try this. Well I find go back - twice for the chips & gravey It's bloody lovely and again good value for money. Good food prepared & cooked by people who care about the customers. They have also been nominated for a National award, you don't get that if your not doing it right. If your in Grimsby give them a try.

We have been here a few times before and everything was great, Since it has changed hands not so great. I ordered a large fish which was rather bland and the batter was soggy, My partner ordered a gluten free fish and chips which was also bland but the chips were nice. She asked if they had gluten free vinegar they said yes it's £1, She thought that was the price for the bottle when in fact the man said it was £1 for a squirt of vinegar because it's very expensive... So she said no thanks. £1 for a squirt of vinegar is absolutely disgusting. I looked online and can get a 315ml bottle of gluten free vinegar for £4.89 free delivery. Probably get more than 100 squirts from the bottle easily... All in all very bland fish with soft not crunchy batter, lots of skin on the fish, bland peas and extortionate gluten free vinegar price.. We will not be returning....

Christmas lunch at the Kingsway with three generations of the family . Quite a challenge to satisfy all tastes but this was achieved with no complaints . Warmly greeted on arrival with a most imaginative menu to suit all tastes including those who want more than traditional fare . The food and service were excellent . It was particularly noticeable that most of the staff were regulars which helped the service go like a well oiled machine . Clearly considerable thought went into the planning of the day , with the objective of ensuring all guests enjoyed the occasion . A most successful , memorable day , and for that ALL the Kingsway staff involved should be congratulated . Well done and thank you !
