Had a great time with friends here. Managed to spill a cocktail and staff where very accommodating at replacing it at no cost. Very pleasant place and good place.

Good night with guys from work bar staff do an amazing job.

Beautiful building, maintained excellently. Very attentive staff. All round, a perfect gem situated within a couple minutes of the town centre. Perfect for coffee or something a bit stronger. The outside seated provides lovely heat lamps and is in great taste. Have been back numerous times and I'm sure I'll continue to do so.

Lovely pub, was almost empty when we went in, so atmosphere would probably be better with more people. Prices, though, are high; pint of IPA and a bottle of cider were nearly £14, so just be aware, this is not a budget place. Does have a lovely beer garden, so I may try again in the summer before making my mind up fully about this pub.

We were greeted and shown to a table by Carney. Carney was attentive to our needs throughout our visit, and was extremely professional & very efficient. The food was delicious. The wait for our meal was just right. I liked the decor, & feeling of space within the Library. Definitely worth a visit...

Our bottomless brunch was amazing! Ollie was our server and he was so attentive. I’ve been to other brunches where we don’t get served often and miss out but Ollie was very quick and attentive. The cocktails were really nice and we loved the atmosphere!

Me and my friend had a bottomless brunch at the library. This was my 3rd one with them within a year. The service we received was excellent. Every member of staff was polite, friendly and helpful and kept the drinks flowing! We had an awesome time. Many thanks to the team at The Library :) Would recommend!

Quick and friendly service. Nice upbeat but chilled atmosphere. We were served by Carney and another lovely person who had a laugh and called themselves a bad influence! Lovely food and highly recommend going!

Came in and the atmosphere was buzzing, got greeted by Carny who helped me find somewhere suitable to sit. Music was just the right volume and staff super friendly and helpful. Good was fantastic perfectly cooked and filling! Great place to eat and drink!

Beautiful night out with friends, staff all lovely, especially Carney, couldn’t fault them! Cocktails are amazing too!!!!

I enjoyed the visit it was slightly irritating to have to wait so long. This place needs more staff on and have cocktails premixed!

Food was just shocking. Party of 14 and nearly everyone's meal had something wrong with it. The chicken burgers looked like they had refried nuggets in them, chips came out cold, the steak was the same thickness as a piece of bacon and the fish was somehow burnt and full of grease. The service was slow and disorganised and the atmosphere was non existent. You would think around Christmas time they would have some music playing in the background. Won't be coming back here again unless it changes owners 🤞🏻

Very disappointed. Took my daughter for a birthday meal. Slow service. Ordered small plates, two of which arrived with missing elements as advertised on the menu. One dish was wrong, and asked three times to have cheesy garlic bread replaced and four times for tomato ketpchup. Food was barely warm, ended up cancelling part of order we were waiting to have replaced. Would not recommend and will not be returning.

Very calm place in the hours I've been with an atmosphere that I instantly got hooked on and the staff are chill. There's something about this place that I resonate with. I'm coming again today on my 19th birthday it's that good

The service was quick & the server was really lovely. The food was out in good time and was consistent & really lovely. It was easy to sort the bill too.....which is always a pain in a group.

Been here a few times, and I must say it's good, better compared to most other restaurants in Taunton, and that's setting the bar really low because there's only ever one other place that's delicious, and that's SAKURA at Weston Super Mare. But if you want to eat steak, this is a much better option in this area than Perkin Wetherspoon. The quality of their steak there has declined, so eating here in Piano and Pitcher is a much better option. If ever the quality of steak here declines too, I'll be sure to update this review. Until then, it's good.

We had a fab night for my daugher’s 13th. Lovely pink round booth reserved for us, lovely waitress (young, short hair, northern accent), very accommodating in every way. My daughter loved her mocktails and the food was absolutely delicious! There was a DJ who played the best tunes, shame it wasn’t that busy, I’ll definitely be going in on a Thursday night again. The decor and atmosphere of the place is lovely, def one of my favourite places to be in Taunton. Drinks are pricey but they’re well presented and delicious eg actual passion fruit in the porn star martinis which some places have stopped doing. Thanks for a fab night!

Went with my friend for some cocktails on a Friday evening and where very accommodating, bar staff where lovely and the cocktails looked and tasted amazing

We visited on a quiet rainy Monday, lunchtime, to celebrate my parents' anniversary. The staff member who served us was pleasant. He was very apologetic when there was a delay with our order, and even offered a round of free drinks which of course we happily accepted. We enjoyed our meals and agreed that it was much better than the eatery opposite which we visited for my mum's birthday the previous month. The interior of The Library is impressive - definitely a place to visit if you're looking for somewhere a tad more special to dine/drink. Only negative is the sticky food/drink menus which seemed to have been handled by numerous grubby hands.

Great place, beautiful building with the nicest team. I host a monthly Book Club here and the team have always been fantastic. Also visited as part of Pop and Bark when they hired the venue out and that was great too! Food is always good!

We booked The Library for our daughter’s 18th Birthday. Pete the manager was a joy and pleasure to deal with from start to finish. Nothing was too much trouble for him or his whole team. We enjoyed the private function area that Pete allowed us to decorate. We had food served as a buffet at our chosen time for 40 guests. I’d arranged a private saxophone player to play throughout the night, and Pete happily worked closely with him to ensure it ran smoothly. Pete was on hand all night, and nothing was a problem at all. He even drove to buy some candles for the cake. As I forgot them!!! I wouldn’t hesitate to book or recommend The Library to anyone that is thinking about hosting a private function!! Big thanks all rough for making the evening very special celebrating an 18th birthday. All the guests commented on how lovely the whole night was.

A grand building and although not busy on our arrival was given a very warm welcome. All three of us ordered the posh fish finger sandwich which came with a very generous size bowl of chips. All very delicious and well presented. Restaurant very clean and comfortable. Toilet facilities upstairs also spotless.

Went to bottomless brunch for a hen-do and service was amazing! Food was delish and we were constantly getting more drinks and didn’t have to chase them up. Peter served us and dealt with everyone amazing! Definitely recommend

Bottomless brunch was amazing! We went for a Hen Do with a huge group of people and they were so attentive to us, kept the drinks flowing constantly so we were never short! Special thanks to Peter who was just brilliant especially with our loud group, would definitely come again!

A really wonderful atmosphere, the cocktails are to die for and the food is really great too! A must-go spot in Taunton even if its just for the 5* service, all the staff are so friendly and polite, carney was very attentive and all-round lovely lady. Would highly recommend going!!!!!

went there with my boyfriend after a hospital appointment on Tuesday 10th September around 5pm - it was the 2 pints of Estrella that got us in the door ! We ended up having a lovely meal of chicken burger and the dirty burger with pulled beef, both absolutely yummy, perfect service and the guy behind the bar (we think Oliver - with ginger hair) and the next guy were really really lovely !

Peter and Billy at the Taunton branch have been absolutely fantastic. Keep our drinks flowing and have provided excellent customer service. Would definitely come again

First visit to the Library and we were really impressed. 4 of us ate me my husband and 2 children and the food was delicious and really good value for money. My children can be fussy but they gobbled up all their food. The staff were really friendly and welcoming. The service was fast we didn’t have to wait long even though the pub was very busy. Great pub with a great atmosphere we will be returning

We have never had the worst Caesar salad the chicken was like old leather also served brown and wilting lettuce could not eat it .
