Pizza Express in Bolsover

We unfortunately had quite a disappointing experience here. We came and were seated with two menus that specified two different prices. Upon asking about this discrepancy we were told the more expensive price list was the one people would be charged. We subsequently asked for a second menu that also showed these higher charges, but we were given a second menu that still only had the old lower prices on. We also checked the prices with people sat next to us and their menu also had the lower prices on. We felt that this was quite unfair if we were to be charged more than other customers. After we raised this we were happy to still have dinner but noone came to serve our table. We understood that it was busy, but noted people who came in after us already had their orders taken so we decided to leave. A shame that it was a disappointing visit.

Max was excellent, he was friendly and helpful throughout. We visited for a birthday and he kindly sorted the cake out with the candles lit at the end. We really enjoyed our meal, thank you!

Pizza was delicious and service was top notch. Our first pizza was burnt but they took it away and replaced it without issue and apologised multiple times for it. Always like coming here and will absolutely continue to do so

One of the best Pizza experiences I’ve had in quite some time. Our waitress Kirsty was very friendly and made us feel at ease. Some items we picked on the menu were unavailable and Kirsty was really lovely about handling it and asked us if we wanted anything else instead. Really lovely service and she takes pride in her work. Will definitely come again!

My son went in with 3 friends on Saturday 18th. Yes they are teenagers, but that doesn't mean they had to be treated like thugs. They said they waited longer than others who came in after them, was made to pay on ordering, and then when my son asked if he could have the birthday fee item he had, was told no because he had already paid. Then was told to hurry up and leave. They had done nothing wrong but sit and eat a meal together after going on a hike. I wouldn't be expected to be treated like this. They were paying customers who had paid even before having the food. Which alot of people wouldn't have done. People should not be treated like this just by age, puts me off wanting to use the restaurant again when we use it on most trips to the outlet.

Popped into here after a shopping trip with my Son and Daughter, the staff couldn't have been any more friendly, welcoming and attentive. Two gentlemen in particular Louie and Max, nothing was too much trouble and really enhanced the experience for me of trying a Pizza Express restaurant for the first time. Would highly recommend coming here.

Food ok but everything slightly overcooked or a bit soggy. Staff were fantastic.

I stopped by here for lunch with my 8 year old after some light shopping. The service was excellent. My son can be fussy and routine with food at times, and the server here was brilliant at telling me what they could do with the food rather than what they couldn't. Buy in is galf the battle for me and she engaged brilliant with him and the meal was a hit. The food was great and for how busy it was, it was prompt arriving at our table.

We have 2 children 3 & 4 years old, We ordered chicken pizza and chicken goujons. The goujons came out smothered in finely grated parmesan cheese all over them which smelt and tasted strong - this put one of our children off. The waiter was aware that we were ordering the chicken just for kids. They put basil & oregano all over the pizza and they have no ketchup and also have no chips, One of our children would not eat the chicken without red sauce and neither of the kids would eat any pizza because of the herbs.

There was a wait for tables even though there were tables available. When this was pointed out to the idiot on the door, he just said, "You've got to go the bottom of the list." Even though there were tables available. Won't be going back.

We went shopping at McArthurGlen Designer Outlet and decided to have a pizza and other food from Pizza Express. The food was nice, the pizza was extremely tasty but extremely thin to go with it, the hot chocolate was basically pure water with a pinch of chocolate added to it, no I didn't drink it. Apart from that we did enjoy our meals, the staff were friendly and the atmosphere was okay.

Me and my family came here on snowball doughball day in Nov, honestly it was amazing, James our server was very attentive and made a last minute change to our booking as my little brother wasn’t going to school that day, The food was lovely, had a very nice time :)

Me and my good friend Richard came here a few days ago, had a server named Bethany who was very accommodating and friendly. Food came quick, tables were clean, very pleased with my experience.

Do not order from here. One pizza was missing half the toppings so was effectively a garlic bread and the restaurant refused to do anything about it when we called. They wouldn't refund or send a replacement, terrible service. Food that did come wasn't hot. The festive dough balls in blankets are a rip off - only 4 dough balls for £7. And the delivery was late

I have very bad experience this resturant customer services very bad they don't care about customers at all they giving us somebody else table bill even that food we did not order and they dont care about to ask anything wrong or apologise for customer there fault I will never visit again this resturant all staff was have no customer service experience .

Stood waiting to be seated for 7 minutes, made eye contact with every single member of staff. Honestly just bad service. Pizza is good when you can get seen.

15.70£ If I only knew that I have to earn 40000£ annually to afford to eat from there. My ego did not let me even take it. Doesn’t even look any special for a price. When you collect there don’t walk in any further than meter away from entry doors. You are not a ‘guest’ you peasant.

But The pizza was extremely burnt and I threw it away. This is the last time I order. The dough was not cooked well the other day. Now it is extremely burnt. It is a disgrace.

Enjoyed a meal this weekend for the first time here. Loved the atmosphere and was seated immediately. The staff were super efficient and the food was so good. Customer Service is sadly lacking these days but I was absolutely taken aback by the service we received which led to a truly enjoyable experience. One guy in particular was Louie who absolutely went over and above with Customer service. He is a jewel in your crown. Attentive enjoyed a bit of banter and listened to everything we asked for.He is a real credit to your company and thanks to everyone you’re a fabulous team

Danielle did an amazing job! There were a few times other staff members had forgotten drinks or to bring over the black pepper and cheese, but Danielle was always quick to rectify and took good care of us. Thanks Danielle!

Incredibly rude staff. We turned up 15 minutes early and were practically shouted at. We were so shocked we decided to cancel our booking.

Delicious pizzas...a bit of a wait but then i suppose you could say everything is cooked to order...pricey but delicious

The service was really bad had to wait quite a long to be seated even tho there was quite a few seats available. Even after seating the waiters took a while to come and take the order. Also, the mac and cheese was over cooked and wasn’t good and we reported it and the staff didn’t seem to care much about it. Even after the food was done no one was coming to bring the bill and I had to explicitly get their attention multiple times. Overall I thought the food and service was poor

Absolutely superb experience at this restaurant with our server Danielle who looked after us from start to finish and took real care in making sure we had all we needed. The food was delicious and well cooked when it arrived and we all thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We will definitely be back. Me and my partner came with our little boy for an early evening meal. Fantastic from start to finish, the restaurant was quite busy but our drink order was taken and brought over quickly. Again for food. The staff were amazing with our little boy who was interacting with his animals with them, even though they were busy our lovely server and other staff passing stopped to talk to him and name his animals with him- which was above and beyond in our experience. All our food was incredible and our son who can be a picky eater ate nearly all his pasta and meant me and my partner could finish our meal whilst still hot! 10/10 experience for us and we will be back soon! Wish I would have got our servers name because he was a credit to pizza express!! Tall, brown haired guy with a blue shirt if he sees this- Thankyou! He also took our child’s meal off the bill as there was a kids eat free deal on (that we were unaware of) which was a nice bonus! We usually go to the giltbrook pizza express and first time trying this one but Will definitely return to this pizza express! As we always say “it’s like being on holiday in here” and it certainly was!

I love coming to this restaurant I’m normally served by Kirsty or Danielle. Food is amazing and the service is great. Nothing is to much trouble when you ask for help from anyone. I’ll be back again soon

Was very pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed my Pizza Express experience. Warm and friendly welcome, efficient service, the food was divine.. and the wonderful aroma of garlic in the air !

Popped in for lunch. It was half term and the whole site was busy. Even at 12pm the restaurant was struggling to find tables. They accommodated us after a short wait. Ordered drinks which came out swiftly and once the order was taken dough balls soon followed. Mains came out quickly and were hot and delicious. Not mine but I had a salad so that’s great! Tuna nicoise was packed with ingredients and very filling. Puddings also delicious and a great treat. Louis was a great host, very charming and funny. Friendly staff all round and a great welcome

Very disappointed with the quality of food. Both pizzas were burnt and really not up to scratch. It’s a pitty as I am a big pizza express fan but after today’s experience I will not be returning. P.S. The staff were really nice and friendly.

Waited half an hour just to order drinks and still had to ask to be severed twice 😡 took ages for food to arrive got a tiny can of 150ml lemonade for £2 and regular can of Fanta 330ml for £3.55 Food was oily in lasagna at the top was puddles of oil and the crispy potatoes was uncooked chips. Overall not a great experience

Me and my Partner just had our lunch here and enjoyed our food and Kirsty’s excellent service, who took care of us while we were there. We also tried the garlic butter dip for our pizza and absolutely fell inlove with it. Definitely will be back again. ♥️

First time at Pizza Express, very tasty pizza, I had sloppy giueseppe which was excellent . Indie was awesome as was Gem who made the pizza. Highly recommend. Place is very clean and we were well looked after all evening.

Today we decided to call into Pizza Express at the shopping outlet DE55. What a breath of fresh air was our waiter Louis. He welcomed us , promptly took our drinks order, and allowed enough time for us to make our selection of food, from the extensive menu. He was very helpful and made us very comfortable. Noticing we were trying to take a photo, he offered his help.Louie politely checked if all was good with our food selection, and he noted when we had finished the very tasty salads and pizza and cleared away efficiently. It was such a lovely lunch experience and Louie's showed dedication and enthusiasm of how to offer excellent customer service. This did not go unnoticed by two very greatful senior ladies.

Freezing cold food. Watched he the delivery driver do multiple drops on the app. Called the restaurant number 10 plus times and nobody even answered. Cost £20 to get it delivered. Fuming, never again will we order from this app or the place.

It’s difficult to post into words the absolute disappointment you provided in a box when you delivered my pizza. I am trying to comprehend how it could have arrived looking as it did, was it fired out of a blunderbuss into the box? Besides the absolute horror show of a pizza you provided, it was cold, chewy and you hadn’t even bothered to slice it properly. I imagine someone in the kitchen worked hard to prepare, cook and check this, having endured dozens of hours of training for some genius delivery driver to presumably shove this sideways somewhere on the way to me. This also cost about five times the price of the alternative you sell in supermarkets, not worth it all. Avoid at all costs.

Pizzas were delivered folded and rolled into corner of the box. Lifting them from the box left most of the topping stuck to the box.

We pre- booked a table for 4 of us, and we were seated fairly quickly with a pleasant welcoming. The young waiter kept asking if we were ready to order, but we didn't mind, but we didn't understand why because it wasn't busy late in the evening. I guess that they might want to finish promptly. However, it was a nice meal without anything to complain about, and we were looked after with a smile 😃 definitely recommend this venue, so check it out, and I'll look out for new reviews, just to see weather you agree with me.

Had prawn pizza bland only 5 prawns and 3 small green tomatos.

I ordered a starter, a pizza and a dessert. They did not have the dessert I chose and delivered a different one.

It was a very good experience here. Though it was very busy and it took about 15-20 min to order food but it was worth it. Service was really good and even in a very busy environment, the waitress was very calm and helpful. Didn't feel like she was rushing to serve another table.

Save your money and go to an independent talian restaurant.Food very average but expensive,service poor with absolutely no attention to detail.Can't see this chain being around for much longer.

Visited as a convenient meet up location with family. The Manager on duty and ALL staff were exceptional, polite, efficient and nothing too much trouble. We had elderly relatives with us who loved the food, quality of service and their first visit! Really couldn't fault the whole thing.

well, it looked like the pizza box had been dropped on its edge as the topping was in a heap at one end of the box and not on the pizza. first time I've ordered, and also the last. Truckers deliver your ingredients to make these things. Is it too much to ask to have the finished goods delivered in good condition to us?

We went for some lunch as the food court was closed, the restaurant was busy but we were seated within 5 minutes. Our order was taken shortly after, there was two staff members waiting, two chefs with one manager. They were trying their best but were clearly understaffed, i felt sorry for them because it was like they are working for 10 people. Our order took quite long to make, the pizza tasted nice but the prawn pasta was a disappointment, it was cold and tasted stale. Pizza express if you are going to serve frozen pasta baked in the oven please take it off the menu, we can get the same from iceland for £1. The manager on site named James was kind enough to take the pasta off the bill as we could not eat it. Thank you James for excellent customer service. I feel that its not the staff’s fault that this place has so many bad reviews, the management above needs to hire more people during busy periods at least.

I visited today as an ex employee for an amazing company! i had beth as my server and all i can say is that she delivered the best customer service that i have never encountered! everything was ok, the atmosphere, the food, but the forks and knives were dirty, the staff was not attentive to the order and brought me minus one menu and we had to wait for the last menu. otherwise everything is ok. more attention to the cleanliness of the cutlery and the others which are not disposable
