First time back in this lovely Pizza House in many years. Had first Pizza here back circa 1978 when opened by John and David Iacono ! It was excellent then with its rough plastered walls and hanging bottles and has remained excellent since . Nice to know Rinaldo is still ok and has kept ownership for many, many years now and kept up the standard even expanding the restaurant since our last visit. John the chef there for many years helped us roll back the years reminiscing of past times including those present and those passed. Nice clean restaurant, piping hot tasty food , clean toilets all added to the happy experience of eating here again . Must also say that Frank and his obvious love of Tom Jones music was a delight as was the warmth and friendliness of Lorenzo . Well done to all we were really made to feel welcome and will be returning asap ! No need to “ shake your bananas on the A1” here! In the words of the infamous Spanish /Italian. Thank you to all 👍

Mal servicio, señora grosera, comida cobrada en exceso y mal entregada Pedí 3 pizzas, acompañamiento y bebidas, una pizza salió mal, la hija de los propietarios fue muy grosera, mi esposo tuvo que esperar 15 minutos para que su pizza llegara, en este punto mi hijo y yo ya casi habíamos terminado la nuestra. Cuando llegó la factura no había descuento dado por este error. Al volver a casa me di cuenta de que me habían cobrado de más por £ 5. 00 , intenté llamar sin respuesta, así que envié un mensaje en su página de Facebook solo para que me dijeran después de mi segundo mensaje que la página pertenecía al fallecido Rinaldo y que llamara, después de intentarlo varias veces visité el restaurante con mi mamá el viernes y le expliqué la situación a la hija de los propietarios que se disputaban el sobre cargo, y dijo que me recordaba, ella luego pasó a decir que sí nos cobraron de más y lo dejó así. Después de comer allí durante más de 35 años me sentí muy decepcionado. Decidimos comer y asumimos que el sobrecargo se tomaría de nuestra factura, pero no, incluso me cobraron por salsa de tomate adicional, ya que las pizzas están secas. Nunca me han acusado de esto. Ni siquiera hubo un reembolso por el sobrecargo realizado anteriormente. Esto me ha dejado insatisfecha y no volveré por algún tiempo. Por favor, cuando Pepe era dueño del restaurante, el servicio al cliente era primordial, pero ya no más, todo lo que parece importar es hacer que la gente entre y salga y obtener un beneficio rápido muy triste.

Siempre me encantó este lugar, me siento fatal escribiendo una mala crítica. Pero ha bajado colina abajo. No cocinado lo suficiente, no suficiente salami (tenía que pedir más) desearíamos no haberlo hecho. La calidad parece haber bajado desde que el lugar de al lado cerró. Vamos chico; s, saca tu dedo

Twice had lunch here, no idea why they serve burnt pizza crusts, maybe the lunch time rush has them cranking the oven up?. The soft drink that was ordered was warm, flat not a full glass and even the ice looked sad. For the price this place is ok, however its not really that much of an event if you want something more pleasurable.

Still the best after all these years

Delivery driver rolled eyes at my grandfather when delivering his pizza in frustration that he took a little longer to get to the door, baring in mind he has recently suffered a stroke

Restaurant was full but they made a table for me, a solo dinner. I felt so cared for, I cannot rate them highly enough

DISCLAIMER: If you hate yourself, then visit. WORST PLACE AND FOOD EVER!!!! Even worse service. Unfriendly staff who were in a constant rush to get us out. The pizza was undercooked and the toppings were raw too. It tasted like plastic. The pasta arrabiata, we ordered was stale and probably tasted like 🤢. Escalated it to the staff but they literally didn’t acknowledge this nor consider a refund. MONEY GONE TO WASTE CLEARLY.

Do not eat here. Unless you enjoy bad food and even worse service. We went to eat here for lunch thinking the food will be nice as it was very busy. We weren't even sat down for 5 mins before three separate staff members asked us for our drinks order. I suppose they wanted us to order quickly and leave quickly as they were busy. But at least give customers some time to read the menu! Looking back, I should have recognised this as a red flag and left. Ordered the vegetable pizza and pasta arrabiata. The pizza was undercooked with raw vegetables loaded on top. The pasta was just store bought penne and looked/tasted old. The pasta sauce tasted exactly like tinned tomato with some chilli and oregano scattered on top. We didn't finish the food as, suffice to say, it did not taste very nice. Got a slight stomach ache later but nothing too dire. At the end of the meal, the waiter asked us how the food was. We told him that we felt the pizza was undercooked at which point he became very defensive. Not sure why. Why ask if you don't want an answer? It's not like we were asking for a refund! I've never in my entire life been to such a rude establishment with such poor quality food. Do yourself and your stomach a favour and give this place a miss!

not sure if I misunderstood but I wanted my order for 16:30 but it didn't arrive till 16:52. I've ordered from pizza house before and pizza drlivered was lovely and hot. This one arrived cold.

Right, I’m by no means a food critique, but here we go… “The Pizza House; It’s alright if you’re hungry…” Came here on a late Monday afternoon and was promptly issued a table. For starters I had the meatballs in tomato sauce with garlic bread, meatballs were actually really good and the sauce complimented it extremely well, however the garlic bread had more in common with a school dinner finger roll than actual dedicated garlic bread. I also had a single vodka and Diet Coke, which wasn’t too bad. For mains I had a meat feast pizza, however the base of it was quite badly burnt and was extremely chewy, toppings weren’t too bad and the sauce was pretty damn good. Only ended up eating half of it, as the base made it pretty difficult to eat, almost Chicago Town-esque. Ended up overall costing £25 which was a little bit of a shocker as I didn’t actually get that much. Staff were very nice, 2 females waiters were working really hard to deliver great customer service, however the other young lad on shift spent a large majority of my time here just sitting around doing nothing at all, when I could see that there was loads to be done, and me being a hard grafter by trade and understanding how much a team has to work together it’s lost a star for service. Inside it was quite cozy, but it was excessively warm and the music was quite loud, shaking my poor little brain to pieces… So overall, not too bad, but if I was you I’d save this as a last resort just in case the kebab shops shut… 3/5

Perfect food, great prices and fast, friendly delivery

La comida y el vino eran mediocres. Nosotros dos pagamos la cuenta con tarjeta. Cuando estábamos preparándonos para irnos vino una camarera diferente y nos preguntó si queríamos pagar, . Dijimos que ya habíamos pagado, pero ella lo disputó y también estaba cobrando £ 6. 50 por cabeza más. Fuimos a la mesa con el gerente y 3 camareros estaban cuestionando el pago a pesar de que teníamos la confirmación en nuestros teléfonos. Pedimos disculpas, pero el gerente dijo que deberíamos disculparnos. Desde entonces he hablado con otra persona a la que le cobraron 6 libras. 50 /cabeza extra por la misma camarera. Ten mucho cuidado si comes allí. Nunca volveré a ir allí

The worst pizza ever - pizza bought from a supermarket for less tastes way better. Poor quality toppings, some cheap cheese mix instead of real cheese, poor quality tomato paste, cheap mushrooms, cheap base. I won't come back!

I came here 3 times until one day when I found hair in the pizza because the people in the kitchen don't work with anything on their heads and beards. It would be good if they work protected because they walk around with food. Everything else is ok

Llegamos a las 3 pm. El camarero nos apresuró a tomar nuestra orden porque estaban cerrando a las 4 pm. Pedimos y mi bebida no llegó, así que tuve que pedir mi bebida a otra camarera. Pedimos 4 pizzas, dos patatas fritas y una pizza para llevar a casa (éramos 4 de nosotros cenando). Llegaron tres pizzas con la camarera preguntando si debíamos tomar una cuarta, a lo que le dijimos que sí, y explicamos lo que faltaba, luego la vimos decirle a otra camarera que había un problema en nuestra mesa (no explicó qué) , así que la otra camarera (MUY grosera, cabello oscuro con piezas frontales rubias) se acercó y preguntó cuál era el problema (a pesar de que ya lo habíamos explicado). Le dijimos que acabamos de explicarle a otra camarera, a lo que ella respondió “me acaba de decir que vaya y hable contigo” - muy extraño, ¿por qué no pueden comunicarse por sí mismos? Luego vinimos otra camarera y nos preguntó qué pasaba. Nuestros chips nunca llegaron, para tu información, lo mantuvieron en la factura y tuvimos que pedirles que se lo quitaran. Llegó la cuarta pizza, el chef la tiró en nuestra mesa, no dijo ni una palabra, y estaba CRUDA. El queso ni siquiera se había derretido, el pan no estaba cocido. Ningún servidor se disculpó por el retraso, ni explicó lo que salió mal. Mientras tanto pudimos escuchar a una camarera mayor de pelo negro jurando hablar con otro camarero diciendo “Le dije que se fuera, ¿cómo se atreve? ?”, lo cual fue extremadamente poco profesional. Realmente desagradable, grosero, ingrato y de nuevo, sin disculpas, y nada retirado de la factura en reconocimiento por el error. Nos sacaron corriendo y empezaron a empacar todo y a comer delante de nosotros, nos fuimos a las 4 pm. Y estábamos celebrando un cumpleaños. Eso fue genial. La pizza ni siquiera era buena, una completa pérdida de tiempo y arruinó nuestro día.

Delishish food for a resonable price.

The staff in the restaurant are welcoming and friendly the decor is comfortable. And the menu is what you would expect from an Italian restaurant. I ordered the signature chicken dish and have to say was whole heartedly disappointed with it to say the least it was undercooked. 4/10

Would never go again. Pizza base was burnt. Staff were rude! Walked out behind me shouting I didn't pay when payment was made! Staff were rude and unprofessional. Don't waste time and money going to this place. Never again to The Pizza House. The unprofessional staff didn't apologise and shut the door on me.

The most watery pizza I ever ate, it was disgusting. I won’t ever go there again to eat anything. The service was ok , waitresses are very kind and doing the job as you would expect.

The pizza quality was really poor and the topping were all melted off the pizza onto the box. Unfortunately both my partner and I have been unwell for the days following eating. I’ve eaten from pizza house in the past, but the quality was significantly worse on this occasion. I think a refund would be the minimum expected.

Beautifully cooked steak..other guests had the lunchtime special, and thoroughly enjoyed freshly cooked hot food..

"Delicious food" - that was my comment 4 years ago.. Today having a delicious lunch with my partner Richie, the food and service continues to be superb.. I love this Italian restaurant very much..

Been going here for years, 45 years to be exact and never fails, all staff like family, pizzas best there are, other pasta and food choices available, alfresco dining available to watch the world go by, good choice of beers and wines and special meal deals at certain times of the day.

Muy ocupado Hora del almuerzo, recibido y mostrado a una mesa inmediatamente por un servidor amigable. Elección de bebidas orden entregada rápidamente por el camarero alegre. Gran servicio al cliente a pesar de que estaban muy ocupados. Oferta especial (opción de cualquier pasta o media pizza con ensalada y patatas fritas £ 8. 50 ) fue servido rápidamente. Muy buena calidad , sabroso, recién preparado y una relación calidad-precio asombrosa. Sin duda, debo volver de nuevo para probar más del menú muy pronto.

A disappointed experience, staff have a very poor knowledge of food and drink menu. There is a cocky and arrogant vibe from some of the older male staff. The pizza is far from authentic, not fired or stone baked. I’d compare the pizza to a cheap frozen one. To make a boring iceberg lettuce salad a little more interesting they add balsamic dressing! Such a shame, I would always opt to support a small business over a chain, but unfortunately due to standard and service I received I will not be returning.

Queued outside to get a table at lunch. Was given the wrong order, made to feel like it was my fault. I tried to explain that one of the waiters just put it in front of me and said it was mine, but they just said “it’s ok, don’t worry” instead of “I’m sorry”. I wasn’t apologising… The food wasn’t worth the wait and I was charged for a salad that I didn’t get. Really sorry to write this review because I could see everyone working really hard.

The most horrible pizza which I ever seen in my life, full of baking powder which shouldn't ever been inside pizza. No flavour, no taste just catastrophy. Very loud music and incompetent service.

One of the worst Italian foods I EVER had and I went to Italian multiple times… Fried Squids came 5 minutes after order had been place… Last piece was JACKPOT… Cold inside and raw. Comment from Owner was „Sorry“ That‘s it!!! Pizza was disaster, Tasteless, Process cheese and cheap salamis. Left half on the table, paid and leave.

Friendly driver, quick service.

I was with my friends We’d just payed and they’d forgotten to give us back some change As they came back with the change after being reminded, one of my group said to ‘piss off’ as a joke to another of my group and the waitress (blonde with glasses) stormed over and shouted ‘did you just tell my him(a co-worker) to piss off’ ‘get out the restaurant’ ‘take your change and leave’ , when my friend who said it was facing away from the other co-worker and he was also on the other side of the whole restaurant. As we left really fast because she was constantly shouting she said ‘yeah go away, leave’ and she said ‘the people from your school are so rude!!!’

I’ve had better frozen pizzas. It’s rare that I struggle to eat food for a meal out- but everyone on the table did here. Even if you have food that isn’t to your taste you can usually appreciate that it’s still nice just not your thing. This was simply just not good. We use to come here years ago and then switched to the Pizza Parlour. We came back after it closed down and firmly will never go back to this place again. All 4 of us thought it wasn’t nice.

The only place in Peterborough to get a pizza. Lunchtime special is amazing. It’s literally the best in boro, much better than the rest.

The spaghetti with prawns was dry and had barely any flavour. Onto desserts. The tiramasu was very nice, however the less popular toffee cheesecake my friend ordered arrived with clear mould spores on it. We did get some money off our bill, but if they are serving that. What else is not upto par!

Just had my birthday party at the restaurant yesterday and absolutely loved it. The place in general is so clean and calm, the food was amazing. I had the Spaghetti Bolognese and it was the best I ever had in my life😋, all my friends got different kinds of pizzas and they all loved it. The atmosphere in general was good, there was always nice music playing in the back which was nice. When it was time to sing Happy Birthday, the waiter was so nice and helpful with everything. My new favourite spot to eat at. Definitely returning😍

Food is lovely and SOME of the people working in there are! Me and my family been here a few times. However the person who last served us and took our order needs to maybe look for a different job, rushed us for our order, tried to talk over me when I’m explaining what we wanted, no offering of desserts and when we wanted another drink he ensured on making us wait while he collected plates etc ( which could of been done after) I ended up having to ask someone else for it. Being in this job role myself I was totally shocked by his service!

Very dissapointed in our visit. The pizza oven had stopped working and quite a few people were given menus to reorder but we wasn't asked. When our pizza finally arrived it was rock solid underneath. It was very difficult to eat and unenjoyable. When we was given the price to pay we asked if there was a discounted price considering what we was served and we was just told no and asked if we wanted our receipt. Very dissapointing and won't be returning.

I called as the fries were missing. a £4 item. not the pizza, the prawn salad or the pasta.. the lady shouted to the kitchen 'did u do the order' they said yes and that was it their end.. instead of sending me some fries, they directed me to make a complaint!?! the food is lovely, great delivery time, very tasty. I'm just absolutely shocked of the blazee response for reputation and customer service over £4 fries?? and I paid an on line tip!

This is a great pizza and pasta place nd we go regularly however this evening, we checked openinh times online before going and it closes at 10pm arrived at 9.05pm to be told they were closing and wouldn't let us in. A wasted journey, I understand places need to stop people going in before to cook food but I didn't expect this early. We would have still been out by 10pm. Ended up going Pizza Parlour next door who got us in.

Get 2 meatballs for the starter and only one for the main course the veg cannelloni was very nice but a very small potion half a tray.. poor value for £ 13:00 was really nice but the portion needed to be double felt a bit ripped off

Lunch specials are a great value. Not sure I’d pay full price for the pizza but I’d stop in for a lunch special any time. Service is just ok. Not really attentive.

The pictures will tell everything, not to mention the smell. Do not recommend to anyone that loves a good Italian pizza, furthermore this restaurant is allowed to sell food on the high street.....

Wonderful customer service and lovely meals

The staff were nice to begin with then began to stare while we were eating. Made us feel uncomfortable, the chefs would look at us strangely as we were eating slowly. The carbonara was unflavoured and watery, which made my friend feel ill. The tortellini was cold and watery, also very oily. We were excited to eat here for my friends birthday meal and experienced an absolute disappointment. The prices on the menus we were given explained that coke was £3 and that our meals were £12 each, we ended up paying £17 each, me personally i want my money back. we were sat trying to calculate if we had paid more than we were supposed to and a rude staff member (blonde hair) said to us ‘your drinks were £4 each’, not only did the menu disclose false information but we were still charged more. i am very disappointed. disgusting.

Pizza is compared to supermarket pizzas. The service is fine, nothing to complain about. But had one of the most disappointing pizzas ever.

Salads are not fresh unfortunately and food was tasteless, they could have done so much better .

Pizza is my favourite food, I’ve been to hundreds of independent pizza shops in the UK and across Europe. This was the worst I’ve ever had. Completely tasteless, cheap and poor quality toppings, oily, stodgy, grim. Salad not fresh, tasted off. Spaghetti and one meatball, meatball tasted bad and pink inside. Pasta and sauce had no flavour. Really disappointed.

Ordered what was called prosciutto & olives, but what turned up was olives & processed “ meat “, now as a “ Italian “ restaurant surely they should be serving Italian meats not cash & carry meats. & the pizza it self was more like a store bought base with the toppings just plonked on top. Service was ok apart from the young lad who kept rapping a certain song & messing about with his friends that he knew on the table behind us. & the atmosphere was nice as we sat outside so can’t really complain about a lovely English evening, but all in all we won’t be coming back & we won’t be recommending here for food.

Ordered an Italian “prosciutto” pizza and ended up with a thick based, processed meat pizza. The bases are definitely “cash and carry” style and the “prosciutto ham” was absolutely disgusting. Having had Prosciutto pizzas in the past, this was not what we were expecting and we didn’t have enough time to change our order before we were going to meet friends so unfortunately we ate a small amount and decided to leave the rest. Not only this, one staff member in particular was larking around with customers he obviously knew next to us. If only he had taken the time to even check up on our meal, he would have noticed we were not happy in the slightest. Unfortunate really, but Tescos finest pizzas are much better.

Staff was nice, service was good too. But them pizzas was just the worst i have ever had. I was expecting to get italian pizza with normal italian ham, but this "ham" felt like really cheap product, I dont even know how to call it. Only the beer was good. I was really disapointed, those pizzas definitely not worth the price i had to pay for it, didnt even considered taking it home.. Giving two stars just for service

The prawns were previously frozen and I couldn't find the garlic in the spaghetti meal. Also, the olive appetizer was the nastiest thing I have ever tasted...the green olives were mushy inside and smelled old (my daughter thought they were stuffed). RUN AWAY from this place as fast as you can. I felt like Gordon Ramsey eating on Kitchen Nightmares...nothing about this food was right.

the courier was on a bike and had carried the pizzas in his rucksack!! when the pizza's arrived all the topping was in the corner of the boxes and we were 1 lot of fries missing. Contacted pizza house, they stated that there was nothing they could do about it and we needed to raise it with 'just eat' which we have done but here's a thought, how about not using couriers on bikes to deliver pizza's???

A classic Pasta and Pizza Italian restaurant . Their tomato sauce stands out as the best in the area. worth trying. I have tried every single dish but the best is "Penne Arrabbiata"

Nice food (good value for money on the lunch deal) quick and friendly service. It wasn’t a huge issue but I was trying to chat to my Mum across the table which was a little difficult due to the volume of the music so if they can turn it down a bit that would be fantastic)

Ordered 2 take out pizzas; ham & olives and Hawaiian. Both came with heavily processed (spam?) ham. it was disgusting! With the exception of some frozen supermarket ones, these were the worst pizzas I have ever tasted. The base was perfectly reasonable - so I suspect pizzas without 'ham' as an ingredient will be a lot better. But I won't be going back to find out.

Brilliant place for a pizza or pasta, have been here many times and always had a great experience. Big selection and everything tastes amazing, also lunch deal is very good value for money.

My Daughter suggested we visited on her 15th birthday,she's been before, I can't express how nice it was,the food was excellent, extremely friendly staff, who must enjoy working alongside each other, they we're dancing to the music in the background, which was lovely to see, very affordable, we will call in again definitely...

I have been coming here for as long as I can remember, my dad used to bring me when I was younger. The pizzas have always been lovely and you can’t beat the lunchtime deal for both quality and price. If you haven’t been, you should definitely give it a go.

Received food.but was item missing portion of chips off order. Phoned restaurant and they said order was double checked and they said it was it bag.

I ordered cannelloni with spinach from pizza house and literally had only 2 cannellonis! That's not a proper portion for one person. It's not worth the money at all
