Pizza Pier in Wigan

Can only assume the food comes from Italy. Tasties pizza in town but seem they deliver via shire horse.

The food is great but the waiting times really let them down when ordering for delivery. You are talking 90 minutes wait for takeaway which is too long for a lot of people.

Pizza was lovely but dont appreciate being told its 5 minutes away for over a hour

the food was great I just wish the delivery driver would start delivery before he actually delivered my food then I dont have to fight my dogs to get to the door

Food was barely warm when it arrived, wasn’t nice to eat and couldn’t finish it.

The chips were stale and old , no potato in the middle of them. Both burgers were black and difficult to chew . I will not be going back that’s for sure.

Food was due 1945-2005, arrived at 2030, half hour late. Phoned them and they just apologised. Driver had 3 orders to deliver. So what. Not good enough. Esp when the kids are waiting. If they can’t fulfil their orders in the time that Just eat tell you, they shouldn’t be taking the orders.

It arrived before the expected time, it was hot but I asked for extra spicy prawns and I didn't even smell them, there were some very small prawns but I didn't see or feel the extra I paid

Always order from here but my last order was missing curly fries and cheese. Phoned up to be told they was to busy to send it and would take 45 mins or I could get them free in my next order which I choose to do. So ordering tonight and put in the comments to add on the missing curly fries and cheese from my last order which they did but no cheese, that’s fine can handle that but then my nann bread was missing from the kebab. Tried to phone 8 times and no answer. Don’t think I’ll be ordering again after this.

i usually bever leave a review like this as the food is usually very nice but for some reason tonight the burger was very smoky tasting which I dont like so i couldnt eat it so i only ended up eating the chips its never happened from here before between that and my order being late I was disappointed I was really looking forward to my treat

U was late and forgot the kids cheese burger meal and brought just the burger the second time when u tried to deliver it payed 5 pound for a kids chese burger with no chips or drink unacceptable

Hate giving bad reviews but here’s what I ordered and thought of it; 1. Fries - tasted like they were left overs from the night before. 2. Pizza - undercooked base so had to re cook a bit myself at home. 3. Chicken wings tasted off. 4. Chicken kebab - lettuce looked brown, “naan” was actually a tortilla, asked for sauce separate (you get to choose 2) 1 came separate and the other chilli sauce was smothered all over my kebab with I don’t like - £26 will not be coming here again!!

Pizza was lovely, shame no Hagan Daz ice cream available the strawberries & cream flavour would be perfect after the pizza 😜

Service tonight was horrendous. 2 hours to deliver pizza, chips and chicken wings. And pizza dough was undercooked and soggy underneath pizza

Wrong food got delivered. Overcooked/burnt garlic bread with cheese. Burnt burger too. They did rectify the wrong food item. Then gave them back the rest of the food. Never had a order so poor from here. Very hit and miss place.

Always get correct order and hot food tonight item missing and food was freezing

Sat up and waited for an hour and 20 minutes until 01:10 for a completely wrong order to be delivered. Phone rang out the first time and then they kept cutting me off multiple times after that. Luckily it was through just eat so I can get a refund. Howether we were regular customers and this is a real big let down

Best takeaway pizza around! Order from here all the time, and it’s always tasty! Usually get the pizza, garlic bread, chicken kebab and chips

The pizza toppings and crust were good but the base was way too soggy. My siblings enjoyed the donner kebab and the burger. The BBQ wings weren't worth my money.

I only give 5 stars for something special so nothing against this place. Decent tasty pizza and a healthy portion of donner meat. Fresh and well presented. Definitely would order from them again. 👍

Ordered from here three times now and each time I have been meaning to write a review because the food has been amazing. Hot, fresh, good quality. The staff are polite and friendly too. The Pizzas are lovely, the kebabs are lovely with good quality meat and the spicy chicken wings are something else. You must try their own sweet chili sauce too!! Apologies for not getting any pictures, the food was too nice 😅

We are regulars at Pizza pier and get the same items each time. This time we were more than disappointed. The food was late which we were willing to put to the side but the food was cold, chips soggy and our pepperoni pizza had no pepperoni on!! We even pre ordered ahead of time so not sure why the food was late either.

Still not received my food at 8:38 ordered at 6:00

Fries were like eating twigs. Pizza was greasy. Ordered a tub of sauce. What arrived was probably around 3 tablespoons of sauce? I've had more sauce served on a kebab! Can't see me ordering from here again any time soon.

Pizza was very poor quality for price, toppings were scarce, wouldve saved money just buying a regular garlic bread, delivered on time though.

Pizzas where fantastic, chips were soggy which I think is due to the new packaging, delivery was very late but we where txtd by just eat to say it was running late.

My food was stated as delivered and received no food so I rang the shop and they said it was already delivered. Had to tell them I had cctv for them to bring my food! And still waiting on them now!

Got a notification to say driver was on way. 40 mins later he got here. And of course food barely even warm.

I didn't get enough time to get home before my food was delivered half an hour early. It took my disabled mum all her time to get up to answer the door. But the food was beautiful. Can't fault anything on it.

When my food finally arrived all my food was cold the hottest thing was my McFlurry!!! No straws or sauces came with the food even thou I asked for them! Have to microwave the food so then it turned rubbery! Ended up throwing my full order away again!!

Metro pizza was cold and soggy asked for chicken tikka topping and was nothing like chicken tikka, and whatever meat it was it was like rubber. Chips was soggy cold and greasy Nuggets was OK ish just cold Won't be ordering again nearly £30 spent and it went in bin 🤢🤢

Pizza Pier is one of the best take away in Leigh. Delicious foods, I tried Chicken Tandoori this time it was amazing. Delivery was quicker than expected. Strongly recommended 👌

What a complete shambles , if it was the first time this had happened I would have put it down to being a one off ,,sadly not the case , picked up my order personally, on arriving home I person's order completely missing , when phoning pizza pier they for me I had to go back and pick it up myself, after explaining that my food would go cold if I had to return to the shop , basically if I wanted the missing meal pick it up or don't not their problem, really not impressed with the service or food

Not good even though waited for 90mins, one of the pizzas had a raw base and went in the bin, fries were cold soggy and inedible not a good first impression.

Usually pretty good but an order this week took over 90 minutes to arrive, pizza was cold, no apology from the delivery driver. Disappointed!!

Ordered my meal, which was 1 hour delivery. When my pizza arrived, it was wrong. They said would send another pizza out for me, which then took another hour to arrive. I rang up to complain about waiting so long on a pizza that they had sent out wrong. The guy that was on the phone was extremely rude, talking over me, saying I made him make two pizza's. In which I corrected him saying it was his own fault for sending the wrong pizza. They guy spoke over me, wouldn't let me speak and then put the phone down on me. Extremely rude, very poor customer service.

Cancelled our order without any reason. Bad business, surprised this place is still I'm business after reading the reviews. The last time we used them, they were really late. We thought we'd give them another chance but wish we hadn't have bothered.

Ordered for the first time this evening . Took a while to arrive but worth the wait ! The food was lovely and fresh and tasty will definatley order again and recommend x

Really poor food and service. Took over 2 hours to arrive only to be cold with things missing. No refund and quite argumentative when challenged. Order from elsewhere would be my advise. Only a 1 star food hygiene rating also....you have been warned!!

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE. 1 star hygiene rating, EXTREMLY SLOW delivery and poor customer service. Much better places to order better quality food from in Leigh. 2.5 hrs for the food to arrive after several calls to ask where it was, after being advised a 45 min delivery time on ordering. Food cold on arrival so complained and asked for refund. NO REFUND. COLD FOOD FOR MY £26. Do not order from here. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!
