Sunday lunch is brilliant, so too is Wednesday lunch and Fish Friday. Choices are just right, I reckon. Quality and value is consistent, and this is paying dividends with observed increasing popularity. Gone are the days of hit and miss experimental fancies.

Call in here at least once a week for lunch, and now it’s available for the public at lunchtime. Unbelievable value for money, the food is freshly made and wholesome. Relatively unknown to the public, this lovely little club is probably set to be a landmark of Pontefract!

The pontefract conservative club is a wonderful little club.You will receive a warm welcome from all there. The place is exceptionally clean and very safe. Entertainment is top draw with a wide variety to suit all tastes & taking of tastes make sure you take a look at the food menu. All in all a brilliant welcoming club.

Superb atmosphere, excellent food, dedicated staff that will go the extra mile. The entertainment is varied so suits everyone. The ladies lunches with guest speakers are outstanding and organised by a dedicated team who. We are very grateful to. We love the quiz nights and the food....yummmmm. We recently went to a tapas night and the quality and value for money was fabulous. We have also thoroughly enjoyed Sunday, Wenesday and Friday lunches. And all the members are so friendly and welcoming. A great place to socialise.

we were there for a 60 and 21 party they have guest beer at £2.40. private car park. very friendly staff.nice stage and comfy seating. door entry system

Cheap beer food ok but the people...yyuk. Market traders fish shop owners etc....."I know what I like and I like what I say." The worst kind of Yorkshire men. Gold watches and cheap shoes. Lighting too bright.

Comfortable, impeccably clean and well run with an extensive bar offer and excellent lunchtime food two or three times a week. Membership fees are reasonable and well worth the cost.

Recently the service in the club is dreadful. \we normally go on a Wednesday and meet friends for a meal. steak pie which had been bought in and not made in the kitchen. The first pie I was given I had to send back as had been to long in the microwave and was impossible to cut. Three people left after waiting over an hour to be served with a meal. I have been in again today we waited 20 mins before our order was taken then we waited a further 20 minutes to be told that the items we ordered had been sold out. This was at 12 45 pm. We left and went elsewhere for a meal. The waitress was run off her feet more staff is needed and a better prepared cook.

There is a new Steward, Scott. Hospitality basket of toiletries in the superb Lady's toilets. Attended a funeral there on Wednesday and the catering was excellent. So much really good food but at the Family's suggestion 'Doggy Boxes' were instantly provided if anyone wanted one but anything in excess goes to the homeless after every function I discovered. Staff and service I cannot praise enough. I am a member but don't go very often. I will now!

Tuppeny ha'penny millionaires. Cheap beer. Small minded local tradesmen. Bad lighting. Up it's own backside. Yuk.

Why do people write reviews on here if there was a problem with your food or drink why not mention it to the waiter or waitress at the time??

Excellent venue for our association meetings. Well decorated with comfortable furniture. Excellent bar facilities at very reasonable prices.

Had lunch on Friday. Not good. The food was poor and made worse by the awful atmosphere. Will not go again, very unfriendly place.

I have been on numerous occasions. Dont be put off by the name it does some good lunch time food if thats what you want at very reasonable prices with comfortable surroundings. Well worth it for a town centre.

A real shame because it is one of the cheapest places to drink in Pontefract but alas the company can be quite poor. Heard one pompous individual openly making remarks about the design of my glasses?

Only ate here once, food nothing special. Had a salad and was offered no dressing, only mayo or salad cream. Really!!!
