Went for the afternoon tea for my Mum’s birthday , 3 adults and my baby grandson. Afternoon tea poor , not even a full 2 slice sandwich each , a half size cheese and fruit scone , a tiny china cup with some crisps in between 3 of us and around 3 miniature frozen cakes. The sandwiches and scones were very nice I must add . No offers of refills for the tea and coffee, and the coffee was awful. Very disappointing, had afternoon teas in loads of places and this is one of the lowest I rank .

Went today with my partner and son the service was outstanding the staff make you feel very welcome. The food was the best Sunday dinner we have ever had , the portion size was really good and the food was delicious and fresh , the price was good value for money, Very clean and amazing customer service will definitely return would highly recommend

Wow! First time at this gem of a place in the middle of town. A lovely space, great decor and nice and cosy. The menu is varied and extensive (which can be veganised for lots of dishes) and the food and drinks we tried were delicious. Staff were helpful and friendly and service, spot on. With takeaway available too, we'll definitely be coming back to the Big Bamboo. Supporting local business is so important and this one is highly recommended. We'll definitely be back.
