a charming little spot that delivers solid Italian cuisine. The pizza was undoubtedly the highlight—flavorful and well-prepared, making it a must-try. However, the starter parmigiana portion was notably small, which might leave some diners wanting more. Service was impressively quick, though it’s worth noting the restaurant was empty during my visit, which might have contributed to the speed. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, it is a cute little restaurant Overall, Prelibato is a good choice for pizza lovers, but it could benefit from slightly larger portions

My family and I celebrated my wife's birthday in the restuarant . The food was very tasty and the service very good. The food was absolutely wonderful . One of the best meals I have ever had . Definately will be going back there. I am just trying to find an excuse to go back. It really is a lovely restuarant and the whole experience for my family was wonderful.

Restaurant closes at 10 yet turned us away at 9:30. Restaurant was half empty. When at another restaurant a few mins later phoned the restaurant to ask if it was still open and whilst warned kitchen was due to close soon even offered an order over the phone to avoid missing out which we declined, making the original refusal even more bemusing

My friend and I came here about a month ago as we both live in the area and wanted to try somewhere new. We both ordered the Charcuterie board for two which was almost 30 quid, I originally thought it was a steal. However, the board itself was rather small and the portions were so small. There was a disproportionate amount of meat compared to cheese, served with a literal thimble of chutney. It was good but definitely not enough for two people, you could tell just by looking at the portions they were being stingy, and for the price it just felt like a scam. In addition, it came with nothing, no bread, no crackers (what was I supposed to spread that dollop of chutney on!). I confirmed with the server that it didn't come with bread and so had to spend an additional £4 on a 'bread plate', which was essentially a toasted flat bread the size of my palm cut into 4 thin slices. (had to order another one just so I would actually be able to share with my friend) The service wasn't bad but more like, non-existent. No-one came to check up on our table despite it being a very small restaurant. Ordinarily I wouldn't mind this but to be charged 12% service is a bit outrageous. The only time the server came to our table of his own accord, it was to give us the bill (after we'd been there for only an hour) that we didn't ask for as we were still chatting with our wine and debating ordering another glass as the alcohol seemed to be the only reasonably priced option on the menu. Safe to say we didn't order another.

They have extended their restaurant. The other part is a pizzeria. When they just opened for the day, I saw staff members bringing downstairs, frozen pizza bases. So the pizza bases are not made from fresh dough. I used to order the chocolate cake and it used to be accompanied with lovely Italian vanilla ice cream.i know the difference in taste compared to our local vanilla ice cream. But on one or two occasions there-after, the vanilla icecream given was a local clotted cream ice cream from our local supermarkets. Then after that when I went I made it clear with the female owner if she was sure the ice cream that was going to accompany the cake was going to be the Italian one and she reassured me a 100 times that yes it was going to be. But she lied and it wasn’t. It was the local one which I saw the tub of it too, a waitress was bringing it from one part of the building to the next. And when I pointed it out to her and said I told her only if it was going to be the Italian one, imported from Italy, the one I used to have before at their restaurant, then only will I order the cake too and why did she say yes. And her eyes popped out, her face went small and she blanked t with a quick sorry. We are vegetarians. We ordered the Prawn pasta without the prawns and they did not reduce the price. Was promised to get some money back when I visited next, but when I did visit next, that promise was put under the table. Another time I went for the same pasta, it was a pasta made from a previous order and there was left over and she asked me if I would love those additional ingredients in my pasta too and she made me feel special that they were going to make it esp for me but I was not a fool. It was left overs given to me on a clean plate, half the quantity, authentically served. And she profited form it. On another evening visit, my little son and I were the only customers there. Young female waitresses. They arrive into the restaurant, and start handling the food as soon as they take off their jackets. Keep fixing their hair and rubbing their faces and mouths. Not washing their hands and bringing food to the table. As soon as they get in, they start handling the food. No washing hands. One slim young blond waitress brought my food to the table and walked away with a stinking fart leaving behind. That caught my throat. How could I possibly eat that pasta there after. That sauce comes from the bottle. It is not freshly prepared. Those bottles of sauces are displayed by the window filled with cob webs. I complained about the fart After I left But no concessions made Everytime an apology and a promise. I can write a whole book about this place. I have a medical condition. An auto immune disease and so somedays I am hungry but don’t have the strength to cook and I like to go to the restaurant to unwind and I messaged the lady to say I hope I don’t get to experience all of that and pasta is made fresh for me from clean pots as I am a strict vegetarian And ice cream if not from Italy pls tell me. And she said she’s now tired of being a constant punching bag. And that I am banned from the restaurant in future. I received her message when I just reached Beaconsfield from Uxbridge. I especially drove to have a meal there. But I had to return home after receiving her text that I am banned. I then went to McDonald’s and got treated well and with honesty.

We visit here probably four times a year and it has become a favourite, however our recent visit this week did not match up to previous evenings. A new member of staff served us (let's pretend he's new as we suspect he is still being trained) - service slow - we don't mind that as we weren't in a hurry, but we felt that he was struggling to cope with the five tables with no help from any other staff member. He had to go and ask someone about the wine as he was unable to recommend anything which is a shame as we usually enjoy being recommended a wine to drink with our meal. He forgot our cutlery which we had to ask . The service was slapdash with no care or fitness. On previous occasions the staff have been proud to explain the menu, the specials and the wine but this guy just didn't have a clue - there was no love for the product, and in an authentic Italian restaurant, this felt like we were being robbed. The food was as good as ever, suspect the tiramisu was made by a different person as it was not nearly as enjoyable as previous occasions - you couldn't taste any marsala in it. Management, please train this poor waiter to make decent coffee - the one he served me looks like weak washing up water and tasted terrible! We love this place but they need to train this poor waiter to love his product, learn about the gorgeous wines you have on your menu and make decent coffee.

Atmosphere takes over everything is a place that i will come back for a evening night only for deserts, the vibe is incredible with all the italian products and candels as decoration, food prices are reasonable. For the chefs, dont take it wrong, the food was good, only the (Ragu pasta) needed more flavour, and by using only Ragu mince fells like a regular pork pasta. Im trying to give a suggestion to help im not commenting to give bad comments. Waiters: when leaving the shifts is good to aproach to the table and introduce your self when leaving the floor or starting the shift. like this i know to whom i know im been served with. I never review places but I am so disappointed and feel let down with this place. Popped in on Saturday for a lunch with my teen daughter, chose the Cacio a pepe as have just been to Rome and it's a favourite of mine . What I got was quick cook fresh tagliatelle with cheese sauce, absolutely horrid, no pepper, and inedible! When I queried the lack of pepper the guy just pointed to the pepper grinder. Oh dear. Plus they included £4 service charge for what? Bringing me my plate? The first red flag was when they brought the food out in 3 minutes! Charged me £36 and I didn't even eat it. Never asked me why!

We recently went on a triple date and it was our first visit to Prelibato after multiple recommendations. Between us we ordered ALOT of food so we got to try a good variety of the menu as it’s quite small so we had nduja Burrata, calabrese pizzas, garlic focaccia, tagliatelle ragu, carbonara and steak. The pizzas and Burrata were delicious, couldn’t fault them but unfortunately the pizzas massively let the food down. We had 3 carbonara sat the table and not one of them had the pork cheek/guanciale was not cooked properly. It was so fatty, chewy and texturally awful, we literally couldn’t eat it as it hadn’t been cooked/rendered at all. The carbonara sauce was also super watery and overall flavour was not good either. My boyfriend had the raju and whilst it wasn’t as bad as the carbonara’s, he didn’t enjoy it either. My other biggest issue with Prelibato was the service was quite poor, very slow and there was even a dish we ordered that didn’t arrive so we had to have it taken off the bill. The atmosphere in the restaurant was good so I might go back in the future for pizza only but I won’t be rushing back.

Had heard a lot about this restaurant so gave it a try. A little bit disappointed. Tables were sticky and a bit cramped, service was very slow took ages to order a drink and then food. Menu was run through in great detail by member of staff who then disappeared not to be seen again. Being quite small place atmosphere was good. Staff friendly enough but seemed inexperienced and little communication skills. Main course was a little too oily but nice flavour. Music speaker a little bit too much base, made conversation a little difficult.

Decided to make the short trip to Beaconsfield. It was a lovely evening. Rang to make a booking at the restaurant, they said we can seat you in the window or can seat you next door… Decided to sit next door. We were given the courtyard as an option, wouldn’t recommend it and declined. Ordered warm breads starter. Waiter kindly informed us it was a small portion and suggested the Foccacia! Somebody with initiative, or so we thought. It was just a pizza dough drizzled with balsamic. Very bland. It did not resemble Foccacia at all. My husbands main course was served at least ten minutes before my pasta. This was a meat pizza, which as you can see from other diners pictures was the standard size pizza constituting all border no filling. 40% of the pizza was without topping and all puffed up on the edges. The whole point of eating out, is to eat together. I was bemused at the incompetence of serving our main courses separately. Then my vegan pasta came up, very unappealing to the eye but edible We had also opted for the Pear and Gorgonzola salad. I was served a disgusting bed of pear, warm runny Gorgonzola not the hunks of dry cheese you expect. Minimal walnut. Drenched in Parmesan? Had to send it back. Won’t be going back. It’s a shame to write this review. But they need to sharpen up! £65 down the drain. Should have just had a sandwich. P.S I’m starting to think dirty menus are an indicator of standards.

I concur with the review below. Everything but the Tagliatelle Beef Ragu was lovely in this rustic Italian deli-restaurant combo in beautiful Old Beaconsfield The pasta was seriously over-cooked, falling apart on minimal fork-twisting, whilst the Ragu sauce was stewed to the point of total tastelessness. It’s a real pity because the mixed starter plate was lovely & fresh and tasty, and the wines we chose were fantastic, if a little pricey.

This is meant to be an Italian restaurant. Italian may I add. I am shocked. A very salty disgusting starter. Awful. It was meant to be roasted vegetables. Main meal was very ordinary pasta with tasteless mince, no garlic, no sauce . One hour it took to serve. According to the young man, this was a special menu and he explained how all the ingredients were bought from Italy. Excuse me, apparently they are specialists in certain dishes. I have been to Italy so many times and perhaps after covid standards have slipped here. The staff could dress more neatly and not scruffy jeans. This is not the Italian way.The Italians are king and queens of fashion. What a disappointment and insult to true authentic food. Please improve. Please do not go here. If you do, buona fortuna. It is better to fly to Italy and eat authentic food there. It's a great insult. The staff have no confidence at all. You need to train them please to speak with confidence. Awful. If you want to try out real genuine authentic Italian food, try Babbo's in Mayfair, London. I have no idea who your chef is at Prelibato, but he or she needs to improve. Thank you for giving us upset stomach's. What a disgrace to my Italian friends. Imagine if you brought your Italian grandparents from Sicily here, do you think they would be impressed? Please stop it. Your menu lacks basic home made dishes, no chicken, potatoes or fish? Sure the pasta is organic but so what?Perhaps my standards are high but Italian food is high quality. Never again. Whenever I have eaten at Prelibato previously the food was fantastic, the venue relaxed & the service charming. I decided to try out their new pizzeria tonight and unfortunately their high standards have not transferred. The food was acceptable but the music was loud and the food service was slow. The table staff were polite however when it came time to pay I sat at my table for 10 minutes without an appearance. I calculated my order values and left cash+20% tip only to be chased down the street to be told that they do not accept £50 notes. When I asked why, I was told they do not accept old £50 notes despite them being legal tender until the end of Sept 22 and that I had to pay by debit card. There was no indication that cash payments were not accepted. Sorry Prelibato but you lost a loyal customer tonight.

Prelibato is a delightful, cosy, high quality Italian restaurant in a beautiful part of Beaconsfield old town. Impeccable standards with a well executed, classic menu. Bowl of pasta and a glass of beautiful montepulciano on a cold Saturday lunchtime - bliss.

Terrible experience. The pasta (beef ragu) was awful, dry and tasteless. Requested a refund but was refused.

Cute, cosy and very professional, friendly staff. We sat outside and candles , blankets etc. very cosy. Attentive service. I'd order starters only next timer, as they were outstanding! Next time I'm in Beaconsfield, I'll be back for sure. Truly Italian! On top of it...

Went here for a late lunch and made a booking over the web. The restaurant has seating outside, but we opted to sit inside. It's small but cosy, warm and welcoming. Ordered the Pasta with N’duja sauce, initial reaction was that it looked like a...

This beautiful cafe oozes personality and the food is exceptional. Traditional, Italian food - which even extends to croissants. Lovely owners, so glad they made it through lockdown as this place is a real gem.

Having experienced a very slow journey we were ready for 2 excellent espresso coffees in a real Italian restaurant. Our main courses were delicious in flavour. Service was friendly and efficient.

Great for coffee and cake but sadly yesterday our lunch of mushroom lasagne was very disappointing. Coffee was great.

A gem in Beaconsfield, very warm restaurant, with a classic Italian counter, full of delicacies. We were in Beaconsfield by chance and we spotted the place, they were very accomodating as we didn’t have a booking. Staff very Covid concious, which is good given the...

Very disappointing lunch. Young amateurish and inattentive staff. Food less than average. The best thing about the lunch was the coffee. This used to be a family run restaurant with a personal touch taking pride in their food. Now it is a very indifferent experience...

We had the most fantastic 40th birthday celebration at Prelibato. In keeping with Covid rules we did a restaurant takeover with the reduced capacity of 16 people at tables of 4. Our family is part Italian so the expectations were high - the food was...
