Primo Huddersfield in Kirklees

Amazing food! Definitely worth a visit. We was looking for a nice Italian restaurant in the Huddersfield area and was able to find this one online. I was pleasantly surprised when finding this hidden gem. 10/10 would and will be visiting again. My only recommendation would be adding another vegetarian option to the menu but either way I was very happy with my food.

Not pompous how italian restaurants should be full of chatter, people enjoying food & drink , we love the Cannelloni amazing amount of spinach mmmm , manager & staff super friendly & great value for money .

Fantastic Italian gem in Huddersfield! Authentic flavors, fresh ingredients, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The pasta was cooked to perfection, and the tiramisu was a dream. Highly recommend for a true taste of Italy!

Had a lovely meal with very attentive service. Tagliatelle, pizza, cannelloni and calzone - all delicious.

We enjoyed an early bird meal which was very good quality and excellent value for money. The staff were efficient and friendly.

Absolutely gorgeous food, arrived promptly and food still hot. Restaurant quality food. I’ve eaten in their restaurant a few times and the quality is definitely there for takeaway dishes. Thank you x

I’ve been coming to Primo for years because it’s excellent. If you’ve not been then you’re missing a treat. Highly recommend this place. Whether you have the early bird, which is excellent value for money, or something from the full menu it’ll be worth it.

Excellent food, great service, staff very friendly but not over the top. I had Deep Fried Mozzarella to start and Lasagna with a side salad for main, all of which were very very tasty. Deep fried mozzarella was served with salad and a lovely tomato, garlic and herb sauce. Lasagne was lovely and tasty as was the lashings of bechamel sauce it was sat in...a cheese lovers dream. The side salad was way better than a standard side salad, full of peppers, tomatoes, cucumber and an array of mixed leaves...very juicy indeed. Would highly recommend to friends and family and will definitely be returning soon.

We always enjoy our visit to primo. We went tonight as a group with kids and the staff couldn't do enough. I had a rump steak and ribs and it cost £20!!! Unbelievable value as the quality is great.

As regular visitors, once again we were treated to wonderful food & service. It's a shame that works at the railway station are impacting on the business. People might be under the impression that the restaurant is closed. Anyone reading this please be aware that Primo is open as usual so don't miss out.

Disappointed with the service on arrival, the waitress looked at us as we were not expected and just said 'you can sit here' a table laid for 6 when I had booked for 3. The food did not disappoint and made up for the shaky arrival

This was a private party but no doubt as fabulous as normal opening times.

I ordered food from primo. Paid for food, delivery and even paid a tip. My Oder had been delivered to primo. The delivery address was wrong. I asked the guy to deliver to my home. He refused. He was at primo with my food. I went to pick it up myself.

Always a pleasure to dine here - food is consistently excellent and the service first rate. Always a good vibe here the atmosphere very friendly and sociable.

The food was good,sadly the service was very slow, we waited nearly 30 minutes for our starter, and it wasn't overly busy at 6.50pm when we went in. I'd go again the spaghetti marinara was delicious 😋

First time visiting Primo. Came here for a midweek treat with my husband and children. Very friendly and attentive staff, lots of pasta dishes and pizzas to try. Kids pizza was HUGE! great value for money, very tasty food. We will be back!

Food and service were excellent, however were left disappointed that at no point were we offered the free glass of wine that comes with the early bird menu. When we asked about it we got a very wooly answer, but still no offer of the free wine. Something that is free and included should not have to be asked for! But the food was excellent.

Went for opening as we had our children with us (5 and 2), and were warmly welcomed. Service was great, and the food was delicious. Children’s meal portions were generous as well, which is nice to see. Have been before, and will definitely go again.

driver dropped food off and then asked can i please have a cash tip, i said excuse me to make sure i heard correct, he then said can you make a voluntary cash tip. it was rather uncomfortable, the reason i ordered online was i only had my card, it just felt abit rude and unprofessional

I've been here several times and always enjoyed the food but this time the spaghetti Carbonara tasted just like Frazzle crisps and the carbonara sauce was very watery was very disappointed

My wife and I dined at Primo last night in a vain attempt to drown our sorrows after another capitulation at Huddersfield Town. It doesn't look much from the outside however once we were seated, the staff were excellent, attentive and with a smile on their faces. The food was very well priced and exceeded our expectations. Each dish we consumed was plentiful and very tasty - far better than most of the commercial chains you can eat at nowadays. We shall definately be back to dine again and hopefully after a better performance at HTFC. UTT

Food was fine and the orders were correct, although it was unusual not to be offered Parmesan and black pepper. Also it would have been nice to have daily specials such as mussels. Service was very slow. Over 2 hours for starters and mains for 4 people. A few large noisy groups in attendance who often went outside and left the door open leaving a really unpleasant cold breeze on numerous tables. Staff were all friendly. Perhaps Friday nights aren’t the best night to go. Would maybe try again midweek.

Went for my son’s birthday and it was, as it always is, delicious. We had been for a meal the day before at an expensive steak restaurant, and the quality of the steak and how it was cooked was far superior at Primo. Highly recommended

Happened upon this gem on Saturday, we ordered from the main menu but the early offer was very good value! I like to think if the house wine is good then the food is generally good! Delicious all round! Everyone walked away saying we’d go back.

The food was delicious, a little noisy place 🙂🙃, but we had a good time. As for the lemonade, it should be booked 😁, let's see what it should be made of, not ice-cold commercial mineral water with lemon, but twisted lemon juice, with a little ice and maybe a mint leaf. The pizza was very delicious, all 4: vezuv, altino, primo, Hawaiian. The prices are high though. At home, I eat 2* 600gr pizzas for this money.

Very polite and helpful staff My son has autism and ADHD so he can be a bit much for some people but we felt totally at ease and nothing seemed too much for the staff. Lovely, clean and presentable. Food portions were perfect. Would highly reccomend this place and I can't wait to go again myself.

Rang to book a table for me and my boyfriend to go in, the lady on the phone said no problem just walk in. We get to the restaurant and we are sat right infront door, freezing cold and windy draft. Then we ask the lady if we could move tables she says no problem and moves us which was great! No one comes up to ask for our drink order we’re sat waiting and eventually a man comes over and asked to take our order. He proceeds to tell us there is no dough for pizzas with a snug look on his face avoiding eye contact. Why wasn’t this told on the phone or as we walked into the restaurant, and the attitude of the waiter who told us stank. Me and my boyfriend get up to leave and the other waitresses around us looked confused asking if we was okay to which we told them we were wanting pizza and you have no dough and she looks extremely confused. There was plenty of others in the restaurant eating pizza. It’s not the running out of pizza dough which is this issue (although very bizzare for an Italian restaurant on a Saturday night) it was the bad attitude of the waiter who told us and the lack of communication or service. Will never return here again we believe the waiter who sat us by the door when we asked to move tables was clearly frustrated with us and that is why his attitude was so bad.

Excellent evening celebrating my sons birthday last night. The food was amazing as always . The staff were outstanding very welcoming and attentive cant praise them enough for making all our evening amazing! Highly recommend anyone to pay them a visit guarantee it wont be your last visit if you do! Cant wait to go again ❤. Thankyou so much❤

We went for the early bird so very loud and young families in. All fine for us as on our way out but just be aware its brightly lit and noisy we were overcharged on drinks order...but quickly remedied.

Very attentive service, good choice. We chose the early bird option due to going to the Lawrence Batley Theatre afterwards. I have the mushrooms to start with & my friend had Pate both were very generous portions. For main we both had steak & vegetables which were cooked to perfection. The restaurant was quiet when we arrived but soon got busy. Very good value & I will certainly return. Top marks Primo .

Another hidden gem under railway arches

The service was great, very friendly. The food wasn't as great. The lasagna was disappointing, it didn't taste fresh and there was so much cheese on top you couldn't taste anything else.

Took two 9 year old and the staff were all lovely with them. All the food was excellent and they do a really good early bird deal.

Went last night with my good friend, food was amazing and Mario was very friendly and checked everything was OK. Definitely go back and highly recommend

What a great find! Helpful and pleasant staff, and SUPERB food. .We started with a Mozzarella, tomato + avocado salad to share with a nice pesto drizzle and herbs and went on to have the Pollo Funghi - beautifully cooked, tender chicken in a tasty sauce with loads of delicious Porcini mushrooms -full of flavour, and the lassagne which was everything you could want a lassagne to be. The accompanying fries and zucchini fritters were wonderful. Crisp & light. We finished with a great Tiramisu, coffee and a glass of rum & Limoncello. Absolutely great food at an amazingly good price ....Even with a celebratory bottle of Moet champagne and after dinner liqueurs, the price for the two of us was under £100!! Just give it a try You won't regret it

I organise get togethers for my colleagues. We all worked at Huddersfield Library. Most of us are retired and it's important to stay in touch. I always book Primo for our meals and we always have a great time. The Early Bird is great value.

We celebrated my daughters 18th after being customers for years. Always great food and Mario’s team can’t do enough to make your experience enjoyable! It was a Tuesday evening so a bit quieter than weekends, but all 9 diners enjoyed their food and the evening!
