Prism Coffee in Gateshead

Fab place with a multitude of treats delights and eco friendly too!! Not expensive and so so friendly! I went there on a wander in Saltwell park with my 5 month puppy. I honestly have zero bad to say there’s outside seating under a canapé at frount of shop and despite my been a barristers in a past profession for a wee bit and a total coffee snob to boot… I learnt a lot from the dude (Daniel) who served up a really amazing delicious coffee the dog loved the place there was water bowls for dogs out with clean water in. Sells amazing different doggy delights and beans coffee machines a a prelethera of other eco products. I was in a bit of a dark grump and needed to clear the cobwebs this place helped so so much it is a calm space and friendly and bothering was too much. Take a visit it is definitely worth it!! We even saw brave wee critters squirrels 🐿️ running about. Such a lovely place clean, bright and friendly for all.

Prism is a little gem. They have lovely cakes and I'm obsessed with the hot chocolates! You can tell the flavours and produce have been well thought out. Would love to see more savoury food options on the menu :)

Great coffee at Prism. My first time buying coffee here, but had been recommended and it was well worth a stop-off. Great coffee, I'm no expert but full-bodied coffee beans because the coffee was rich and strong, but not too strong, good froth too. Lovely service, friendly staff, I'll definitely pop by again, thank you :)

We are so lucky to have this gem in the park , great choice of sweet and savoury treats as well. P.S to a few Karen’s within the reviews , size is not everything.

I visit regularly as I love the spot on the promenade. I really like the variety of hot chocolates, including peach melba. The milk is oat however and many of my family and friends would prefer cows milk. It would be great if this could also be an option, as well as more gluten-free options which are needed. The prices are on par with most other coffee shops I would say, and there is outdoor seating however this is limited.

We visited last weekend after a walk around the park with the dog & absolutely loved it! Ordered a latte, the coffee here is excellent - my boyfriend (a non coffee drinker) ordered a mocha and loved it! We also couldn't resist the Cookies and cream cake and the pecan crumble slice - both incredible! We will be back as we're desperate to try their cinnamon rolls!

Walking through the park with my family and thought we’d try this place as heard some good things. Ordered a flat white and two babyccino’s the kids. Firstly, the default milk is oat milk unless you specify otherwise, secondly the flat white was the SMALLEST flat white i’ve ever had, I actually thought they’d given me a babyccino, until i realised the babyccino’s were also the size of a thimble!!! Absolutely shocking cup sizes. The Coffee was actually good, but won’t be coming back due to the measly size of the drinks. There’s absolutely no need to be cheapskates when you’re charging over £3.00 for a cup of coffee.

Fantastic coffee, served by someone genuinely passionate about what they do. This place is a wonderful addition to the area and I hope they continue to succeed and thrive.

The person who served me was so miserable like he didn’t want to be there and it really showed. The selection of snacks wasn’t great and the coffee was bad. I was really looking forward to trying this as it’s great to see the old buildings getting a new purpose but I wouldn’t go back and I definitely wouldn’t recommend. Expensive as well.

Very slow service and pointless, awkward attitude when the coffee boy did get round to serving. Apparently lacks the common sense to add milk to a black coffee without pointless over complication. I presume this comes from a pretentious attempt to 'educate' the customer but just meant the business lost a customer.

Don't pay attention to the 3 star review. I have a feeling he didn't realise all of the food is vegan. The food is lovely, cakes are lovely. All really fresh local vendors. The cakes and food is vegan, this might not be your preference. However my boyfriend who is veggie said it was one of the best "sausage" rolls he had. Owners are lovely. Sustainable, local and trendy. Gateshead is in desperate need of more places like this.

Coffee good but don’t eat the food it wasn’t just bad it was awful and I mean awful Stares given for coffee drink the coffee avoid the food

First review, presumably first of many five-star reviews! I attended on the morning of opening and was thoroughly impressed by the professional set up. Essentially this was probably the best flat white I’ve ever had. Well done. I will be back
