Ordered from here for the first time and I can honestly say one of the best caribbean I've had in a very long time.. dumplings was so fresh. The mutton just melts in your mouth and seasoned to perfection in my opinion.. also the steam veg is worth a try 1 meal and I've got over half left over and I'm full.. can't fault it is a must try

I ordered Oxtail and rice & peas plus some plantain as a side order as a takeaway and it looked, smelt & tasted divine It was delivered on time The only thing I was disappointed about was the side order it only had around 5 small pieces so for £3.50 I would of expected a lot more

I enjoy food from here. I judge a Caribbean place on its Oxtail. This is the 3rd time I've ordered but the order wasn't quite correct. We ordered 2 Oxtail, 1 Curry Goat but 3 Oxtail were delivered. We were all hungry so ate it anyway!

Bland watery rice and meat was cold will not be ordering again

I use the B&Q store as it has almost everything you may need for a job and the are very helpful too👍

Chose Progress Carribbean tonight because no-one else was offering oxtail. I was not disappointed. Very tender & tasty. I also ordered curry goat. If you can nail either of those two dishes then everything else on the menu will be fine.

Ordered on uber eats 2 tiny chicken legs for 8 pound 2 bags of chips 3 each were filled up to a third and freezing cold steak was extremely slaty

Friendly service and really delicious food in huge portions! The place was very quiet but it was a Tuesday night not long before closing time, so to be expected. Very accommodating and reasonably priced - both of our main meals (one being jerk chicken with brown stew chicken and the other a vegetarian dish) were £15 each and with 2 drinks it came to £38.50 altogether so about average for the area. Thanks again for the gorgeous food, I would definitely recommend it.

Customer service was amazing staff very welcoming and amazing hospitality. Food is by far the best carribbean food I have ever tasted. I had the lamb chops curried goat rice and peas my kids had bbq wings fries and rice and peas we all feel the taste and presentation is amazing we’ll definitely be back again highly recommend.

I had beef soup with dumplings x 2 and a pot of chicken gravy, broke up the dumplings and added them plus the gravy, it was delicious soul warming food, I'll definitely be going back, the staff are wonderful, the food isn't as expensive as you would think for food you get, I'd advise anyone to try this place, a delight

Omg ...this food was really delish! Will definitely return ! We had the fried chicken , jerk chicken the mutton dumplings rice and coleslaw , just regret not getting the steamed veg ! Worth every penny !

Visited here after work on 16/05. Shop was meant to close but they kept it open slightly late for us. Excellent food and excellent service. A must try for anyone in the area

On a training course nearby and popped in here for dinner. Very impressed. Food really good quality, generous portion and tasted really good. The ladies serving were very polite and great hosts. Definitely recommend this place.

Amazing!! My husband’s childhood friend had parents that came over in the wind rush. This is the only food that has evoked memories from his childhood, closest to his Auntie Maes cooking he’s ever tasted. Hope you remember us when you are sold out 24/7 ❤️

Thought we would give this place a try as read good reviews, so group of us all friends decided to book a table here..Food was delicious I had ackee,saltfish, steamed veg fried dumplings ( these are the best dumpling I've had for a long time, highly recommend) generous portions we were all happy and satisfied with our food..chicken. Lamb. vegetarian option curried chickpeas. all delicious home cooked food worth the wait..Lena the owner went above and beyond to accommodate us even complimentary Ginger cake.really nice compliments to the chefs..definitely will be back in the New year..Highly recommend give Progress a try you won't be disappointed....reasonably priced too.. This is a hidden Gem , Lena was lovely and very accommodating when I said my friend was using crutches she helped me park - the food was top notch , rice beautifully cooked and light Jerk Chicken best ever and the curry sauce was just right - had some lovely Beer and sweets too - best of all we (three of us) felt undercharged so we added a big tip - lovely atmosphere lovely food

Had a Birthday meal here with my husband🎉 Firstly OMG Beef Soup with boiled dumplings Mmm Mmm Mmm👌🏽 Wanted to slurp up the soup so fast it was that delicious!! Then OMG Jerk Chicken & steamed veg & rice n peas, my husband had Brown Chicken Stew & Coleslaw & rice n peas👌🏽and we both went to heaven Mmm Mmm Mmm👌🏽 Service was TOP!!! A lovely lady😊 And atmosphere provided by a cool DJ playing back in the day reggae tunes👌🏽😃 Awesome place!! Thankyou so much👌🏽🥰

Since we were visiting friends who lives in Chorlton, I paid for a Surprise Bag for £4 via Too Good to Go. I've never been to Progress Restaurant & Bar but thought that I'd give it a try. The collection time was from 9pm which was late to be our dinner so I planned it for lunch on the following day. Wow, wow, wow! The portion size was generous - not only just rice but there was meat too. Like I said, we had it for our lunch. It's enough to feed two people! Oh, I loved the food. It was flavoursome; every bite of it was packed with flavours and I wasn't thirsty afterwards. I enjoyed it very much and told my friends. That's when I learnt that my friend (Thomas Jenkins) has visited here before and he also raves about this place. I'm looking forward to be visiting Chorlton again and would definitely eat from there either using the Too Good to Go deal or simply eat out with Thomas Jenkins. See you very soon!

I have some Amazing cocktails made by mixologist, Kingston and an lovely meal (Fried chicken rice and steam vegetables. All served with a smile. The proprietor Lena makes every customer feel valued. Atmosphere us friendly and welcoming. I definitely be back!

When I first tried this food it was delightful. The first bite of the Mac and cheese here is the definition of heaven trust me. Other then the food the service is amazing I won’t even lie as soon as you order food it is there at your table or ready of collection it just amazing. Plus the owner is a very nice and gentle person she is always there to smile and give you a hello which you don’t see a lot anymore in this day and age. Don’t get me started on the atmosphere it is so nice. When you are eating or ordering then is always ways music playing that even on the hardest of days it will boost your mood. Everyone that walks in has a Genuine smile on there face that make you smile. Over all this is a really good place and a muss try believe me. Even for the picky eaters slash me. Defo try this and you won’t regret it.

I was just lucky enough to visit what turned out to be a delicious meal at this wonderful new Restaurant in Chorlton. The service is warm, friendly and incredibly welcoming. The food was very well cooked, seasoned and the value for the portion size is amazing. Definitely order some of the dumplings, delicious and perfect for the sauces of the other dishes. We will be returning in the future most definitely. Thanks for a lovely evening!

I got a takeaway from here earlier this week. Staff were friendly and helpful and food was nice. I throughly enjoyed all the food I got and decent portion size too so I felt like I got value for my money. Will defo be back and will recommend this place to friends & family.
