Me and my friend had dinner at the place food was great hot served besides that Simran was so helpful and kind to us.

Best takeaway, excellent food with very good quality and price, always good to visit

I will never visit at this restaurant again. Staff is very Rude. All payments in cash. Card payments not accepted. I order samosa staff served spring rolls. When I said it's wrong order staff shouted at me when I said I don't have cash I will make payment by card. Again staff shouted at me. Very poor service . Inside kitchen no hygiene protocol followed. Food is cheap and tasty . But not hygiene and staff behaviour is 0.

Lovely small resturant in heart of Leicester Belgrave Road. The food was fresh, flavorful, and authentically Punjabi. The paneer dishes were exceptional, and the roti was perfectly soft. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the service was quick. The ambiance was cozy and welcoming. I highly recommend this place for anyone craving traditional Indian vegetarian cuisine. there is plenty of parking on otherside of road near Shiva temple or free parking on side of road on weekend. I will definitely be back!

My frnd recommend this restaurant and today I went as food is good but the behaviour of staff is so rude.

The food is amazing. But the behaviour of staff is extremely rude and arrogant. It feels that staff is not interested in providing the service.

Amazing experience, the food was great the service is also good there is a bell to ring to call the staff. The atmosphere was great, it was cozy and a small restaurant in the corner of Olphin street. Highly recommended.

Went coz of their anime menu and it was definitely worth the hype! Full Indian style, home cooked food. Literally loved it….

Good traditional punjabi food. But may be a bit on the spicy side. I'm sure if asked they will reduce the amount of chilli used. Over all a good local punjabi cafe.

10mins inside waiting in the table no one came to take the order. I walked and ordered chef Thali which is 5£. Menu said gulab jamoon will be in Thali but it wasn't. Staff not bothered about anything. Old diner I guess who don't care about anyone. Taste is ok.nothing great.

Spend money there zero taste , staff rude dont know how to talk , take extra charge for dine in , samosa chat literally zero level everything frozen they serve , i had stomach problems now .i never 👎 go there again.

Ordered pizza from here yesterday very disappointed the topping were falling apart the slices weren’t cut properly either pizza was falling apart there wasn’t much taste or flavour to them either. Wouldn’t recommend ordering from here!

You won't find better restaurants in terms of value for money, quality and quantity. For four people, dining in for £30 near Belgrave Road is unmatched as far as I know.

I was genuinely surprised to discover such an establishment in Leicester. The Punjabi cuisine here is exceptional. Today, we opted for a takeaway, trying out their daal makhni, palak paneer, and bhindi, and each dish was delightful. I must admit, this spot now tops my list for the best Punjabi food throughout Leicester. The food was accompanied by roti and provided by exceptionally courteous staff. I unequivocally recommend this place. Staff are amazing. Since my last review two weeks ago, their prices have increased by 50p already.

Alright for quick bite nothing special old fashioned diner

The restaurant was busy and it was overwhelming for the staff I believe. The behavior and service towards the customers was not good. Ordered roti but the flour was old and was smelling. And the service was too late. Taste of curry was so so. Overall underwhelming.

It is not good restaurant.. the quality of the food is also not good .. one more thing the staff behaves like very badly with us.. i recommend to all that avoid to visit here because I visit today i orderd daal makhni and they give me only daal not add makhni or butter in it . If they not add makhni then why they said this is daal makhni and one thing more i visted here 3-4 times day before today but I think they change staff as well as chef..

Just had a fantastic meal at Punjabi Tarka! For vegetarians looking for delicious and authentic Punjabi food, this place is a hidden gem. All the food tastes like home cooked. The prices were very reasonable, especially considering the portion sizes. You definitely won't leave hungry! They only add 10% service charge for eating in. The only downside is that it is still cash only payment. I wish they start taking digital payment soon. I highly recommend checking them out!

today am go to the this resturdent i want to order some food dal makhni mix veg and other food also but in the dal makhni its no have butter mix veg is tasteless and the staff of the resturdent talk in attitude and misbehave with me its very nonesense resturdent do go to there please

We have always gone to Punjabi Tarka in Leicester on Belgrave Road, the food is first class, the prices have changed but the quality if the food is fantastic thank you to Rana and his wife. Keep up the good work

Yesterday I visit there it was not my first time. When we go there they come after 10 minutes to take my order. Then they take 20 minutes to make. When they are preparing my food the noise in the restaurant is like that the staff ladies are fighting inside. Not peace at that restaurant and they charge more than the prices of dishes on the menu. They charge us sitting charge as well. They don’t return my balance. Very disappointed place

I bought Aloo Partha from the restaurant. It was very dry and there was no filling at all. It was like eating plain roti. This was take away. I rang the restaurant to make them aware instead of listening to me, they were arguing back stating this is their standard paratha. And if I need more filling I should have made them aware. Aloo paratha is a whole meal in itself and there’s no need to mention to shop owners for additional filling. It’s just a baseless. Never buying aloo paratha from them again.

Worst experience ever, i never seen this type inhuman behavior. We left the restaurant in the middle of our food On the Google thier closing time is 9:30 We reached at the restaurant 8:30 they told me they will not take oder after 9 so i oder everything at once. 8:45 back to back 3 people came to ask how much time takes to finish the food. And they keep watching us because they want go home early. It's better you don't take oder in last one hour and update your Google hours please Don't go this restaurant ever.

Very cheap and nice option. Vadapau is at1£ and taste is also good. Nice food options available but make sure you visit before 9am in night.. the searving staff is also good now. Earlier staff was not so good but they have improved

Please don't mind other negative reviews as their are for neighbouring restaurant with similar name. Food is great we coming there very often for quick Indian lunch/ breakfast. If you don't mind outdated and tired tables it's place to go.

One of my favourite places to grab food on Melton Road,the place serves great food and has multiple options as well.

The owner's behaviour was very rude to everyone. Food was not so tasty , lastly when the bill came he just said figure. We asked for a copy so he said please check the menu if you have any doubt in your bill . Wasted of time and money . Will never visit there again.

The food and service was just emence. Do be put off by the decor its the wholesome dishes which matter.

Essentially a Panjabi Dhaba without the surrounding fields. They offer a wide variety of vegetarian food that is cooked in the authentic Indian Panjabi style. I came after a meeting in the city. I had the paneer burji with two rotisserie and plain lassi, with fresh onions on the side. Definitely has return value!

I had 6 chunks of chicken in my food. Quite small ones. They could not have been 100g and in fact probably were way less. In my girlfriend's dish the same happened but with cheese. The food was edible but overall this was a complete rip off. Avoid at all costs.

Mazedar Khana ....Punjabi food... Chashme Vali aunty is too good.. and Baki v vadia ne...but chashme Vali aunty de kya hi khne....bahut Maza anda galan krke aunty nal....

Had chole bhature, was very tasty and authentic. Price was also very reasonable. Have not tried other dishes yet. Would recommend everyone to try chole bhoture from here. They will not be disappointed.

Visited here for take away food on Saturday evening. Ordered chole bhature and palak paneer. The price you pay is not what you are charged. Once the food was prepared and came to payment the lady charged me £5 more, stating due to everything going up it will be £17.50. As a restaurant it is very unprofessional to charge someone extra when the board clearly states the price of the dish. It appears that she looked at me and my husband thinking we are out of towners so she can get away with adding extra. The portion size and the fact that the bhature were cooked fresh deserved the 2 stars otherwise the food is average and the fact that you rip your customers off deserves zero stars. If you have increased your prices please update your menu or inform the customer before placing the order. The reason I know she over charged me was because before coming to the place my father in law had rung up to confirm the price as we were visiting to drop it off to him. If the owner is reading this please review this as yes I know the cost of living is increasing but don’t site that to rip your customers off. I am more than happy to pay but then update your menu prices…. The lady who served me had missing fingers and to me appears to have pocketed the difference.

Found plastic piece in the food! Not a good hygiene standard.

Bought biriyani, aloo paratha, paneer tikka masala, Chana nature and lasso Biriyani was a mix of plain rice and gone bad veg curry . It was stinking and could not eat. Please avoid this restaurant for having biriyani. All other food were just average or below average. Avoid this restaurant if possible

Authentic Punjabi food at its best. Food is cooked to order. None of that stuff which has been hanging around all day. Prices are very reasonable to. Try it, you won't regret it.

If you're looking for some great authentic desi style food then this is the place. It's a cafe like spot, no bells and whistles but the food is simply magic! The staff are hospitable, which is lacked in so many restaurants and cafés. Writing this review is making me hungry for their food. Definitely worth going to! And beats so many fancy places in quality of food, authenticity and service. And to note I was compelled to write this review because I've been left with a positive mark by Punjab Tarka. Keeping in mind that I last ate hear 1 month ago. This speaks volumes!

Don't know if they changed their recipe for the Karhahi Paneer or what but for past few instances, the dish is completely different and has a curry base made of potato or starch... Last time when we asked for this, they served us a mix of chilly paneer with some soppy curry in it. Just yesterday again same issue, not the same as should be- plus they always get orders wrong and blame it on customers; I have seen before me eyes as we sit in and eat and they turn the fault right back onto the customer!

I orderd amritsari kulcha..... it was the worst one i ever eat thay should try from somewhere else and then they will know what amritsari kulcha is i want to post a picture of it but dont have option here just waste my £12 ....
