Batter was soggy and soft chips were cold the kid behind the counter wrapped my food up gave me my change and left the food on the paper stack and went out back. Won't be back unfortunately this used to be a really nice chip shop

Portion sizes are quite literally ridiculous for the price, a large chips wouldn’t do two people

Chips were cold the pie I had was cold . Must have been standing for a while. Cheese burger was hot but bit hard. Won't be returning

The WORSE fish and chips EVER!!!! Chips were warmed up nasty and oily taste. Many hard over cooked chips whereas the major was soft oily tasting and COLD. I mean how can you sell lukewarm chips??? The piece of fish I had had way more batter and actual fish. So disappointed. We ended up feeding it to the birds and going elsewhere to have something to eat. I should have gone back but what’s the point. 20 pounds hard earn money wasted. Never again. You lost a customer forever. Be warned.

If you like dried up rock hard chips (scraps) from cheap potatoes this is the chippy for you. A Large not even enough for one adult and one child. Geezer hasn't got a clue. Also covered the sausages in salt and vinegar but not the chips. Stick to Stubbington Village and Lee On The Solent, two best in the area by a mile, they even pre warn you at Stubbington that a large portion will feed four!! Double thumbs down from my boy. Swerve this chancer.

Chips were nice.. both of them Battered sausage tasted bad so only had one bite. I personally won’t be back in a hurry

Absolutely banging chios asked for extra banging salt and vinegar the guy sorted me right out f###ing amazing chips after a drink highly recommended

Had a burger and small chip last night and it was the worst food I've ever bought burgers are kids size and fried in oil instead if being grilled it tastes absolutely disgusting chips had no taste even though I asked for salt and vinegar. First and last time there for me

We had a power cut so dashed out for fish and chips. We usually buy from the village but unfortunately it was shut. We ordered steak and onion pie, small cod, saveloy, large chips and curry sauce. We only ate a small amount before throwing it in the bin! The chips were cold , mushy and bland. The steak and onion pie turned out to be a not very filled and luke warm chicken and mushroom pie, the saveloy was grey and mushy and the batter on the fish was raw and vile. So, so bad!! Don’t get fish and chips from here!

The owner obviously dosnt care about the bad reviews , the only thing original here is the Victor Meldrew art work on the wall from 30 yrs ago, if it's 17:00 on a week day why nothing ready in the hot cabinet like chip shops used to do, instead you have to wait your turn for your pie to go in a microwave to come out luke warm , the chips are hard and forget about the salt amd vinegar question as you don't seem to get any even if you ask

That's why they should stick to Chinese food. I asked for mince and onion pie with small chips with just salt on the chips. Had to re-do the chips, I said no vinegar and not til I got home I discovered a steak and kidney pie. Idiot.

Absolutely vial. Their food seems like its been reheated about 50 times over. Pie was rock hard, battered sausage looked terrible, chips was cold and the pie definitely wasn't a pukka pie. Honestly don't know where this fish and chip shop get their food from but it's terrible. They also advertise salt and chilli chips ... its basically cold chips with a bit of salt and red powder sprinkled over them. Straight in the bin and went to a different chip shop which was lovely and just how a fish and chip shop should be. Never again. Absolutely disgusting!!!!

Excellent service and a friendly atmosphere.The lady from Liverpool who serves you always makes time to have a quick chat.The food is of excellent quality and I wouldn't go anywhere else for my fish and chips.

Arrived at around 17:00-18:00 asked for two small battered cod and was told no they only had one small and mediums after a few minutes discussion back and forth I settled for two mediums, the way they were wrapped made a large amount of the batter stick to the paper. The battered sausages were wrapped with chips so they were soggy and burnt. The chips were soggy and bland (three boys who normally eat ANYTHING and EVERYTHING did not eat more than a handful each). No bags with handles so had to go to the shop down the road to buy a bag to be able to carry it home on our pushbikes. Rude! Service. OVER priced!! and POOR quality. Good quality fish within the batter was the only silver lining.

Freshly cooked, wide selection, good portions, friendly staff - value for money. Easy parking too. Particularly nice chips.

Popped in to get some chips only. They were dry and recooked chips covered in grease. I must have timed it badly or they keep the good chips for the regulars. I will drive down the road to King Fish where they are cooked fresh. Sorry QPF not good.

We did arrive about 13.45, closing was supposed to be 13.30. They were not the best chips, husband agreed & he was happy with his sausage. This has not put me of visiting again

Lovely fresh food, always busy, our local go to chippy. Free parking that can get busy. Staff helpful and friendly.

This little place use to be so good but I do not know what has happened to it over the last few months or so.Have they changed the oil or the fat I don't know but it is not very nice.

You know the 99p sandwiches you get in the local Indian shop? The food now tastes like that! I used to be a regular here but I'll be looking elsewhere from now on.

Fish and chips were reasonably priced although other sundries were £1 or more expensive than anywhere else. Staff were polite. Family meal worked out very expensive, will not be visiting again

Good food, not expensive by southern standards. Bloke behind the counter is patient, even with the schoolkids who change their minds every other minute.

As a student I always came here to get chips as the student discount made it an affordable lunch. The staff are friendly and the food is fast to arrive

Fish and chips are always nice here, not too expensive and you get what you pay for. It's my local as well, meaning it's not far to travel.

Found this chippy by accident on Sunday with friends. Lovely chap behind the counter vey polite. Fish was fried fresh and tasted lovely. Massive portions, please see attached photo ( that was a regular portion). Will be back next year thank you!

Bought fish and chips once from this place and never again! Everything was thick with grease & the chips were soggy. There are many fish and chip takeaways in Gosport - steer clear of this one.

Saveloy. Cod and chips for 3 of us. Large portions and packaged well. Staff friendly and helpful. Popular with locals and I can see why. Reasonable pricing for the portion size.

As my local chippy, I have seen this place go through a recent refurbishment and it has a great new look. It is clean and the prices are reasonable.

Got to be the best fish and chips in the area. Friendly staff allways glad to see you and have a chat .

If you are hungry and love chips, come here!!!! I got a small portion of chips and ended up feeding the Seagulls down Stokes Bay as there were so many in the portion!! Definitely get your money's worth!!

This fish and chip shop use to be amazing .we had been on out and popped in on the way home.my husband asked for haddock and chips ,to which the reply was take to long to cook !,, they close at 10,this was 9:15,the gentleman s attitude was terrible ,I think he was the owner .we took our food and went .chips were dry and greasey
