All cooked to perfection and well presented and hot Reasonably priced. Very friendly welcoming staff who took great trouble to answer all queries re individual meals and the spice contents .Highly recommended

I've ordered from here a few times and have never been disappointed. The portions are generous and very tasty. Deliveries have been on time. Well done and thank you for the great food.

Ordered the special starter, the batter on the pakora was raw, the samosa was soaked through with oil and was actually not edible and the bhaji was as rough as old boots. Main course was meant to be a medium spiced dopiaza, I have had hotter korma. The best part of the takeaway was actually the peshwari naan and that was actually only mediocre. Wish I had gone with my original thought of ordering from elsewhere. Will not be ordering from here again

First order after reading Bristol post’s write up and we were not disappointed. Great food - order delivered early and VERY HOT amazing we have never received a takeaway from any other takeaway which was so hot usually food is Luke warm. Lamb Garlic was lovely - Lamb so tender and good flavour - chicken vindaloo also ticked all the boxes all the other items rice, side, naan perfect - give them a try you won’t be disappointed

We have been ordering from Rajastan Royal for nearly three years and they consistently deliver high quality food, with great service. We also like their ethos, as they work to reduce the use of plastic in the industry and support local charities.

Quality food starts with quality ingredients and this set the wheels in motion for a sub-optimal Indian takeaway. While the food and quantities were fine, the Chicken Tikka Jalfrezi I ate was fairly uninspiring. The taste existed as little more than a basic tomato sauce with a fair heat to it and the onions were still fairly firm to bite. This may not sound a scathing review although when I pay for a takeaway meal I like to expect that the restaurant can do a better job than your average home cook. The house platters consisted of crunchy & tasty samosas, big bahjis and a couple of other bits, these I cannot fault. I wish the curry house all the best in their voyage to cook Indian cuisine.

I ordered a Pangush ~Fish Safran Badam and it was DISGUSTING. Super sweet, awful consistency and it was so sweet, it tasted like something you'd have for breakfast.. I did not touch my dinner. I ended up eating eggs on toast instead. Naan bread was super sweet as well., My partner had lamb tikka and it was bland and watery. AVOID if you want a decent meal.

Good portions and at a suitable price. First time as a family we have had an order from the Rajistan Royal and it will see several returns in future now we have discovered it. Food was ordered and collected at the time the Rajistan Royal suggested without having to wait which is rare. Long may this continue. Food wasn’t to greasy as has been experienced in previous take always so another thumbs up. Really impressed with everything this take away offers so would suggest others who haven’t tried this cracker should.

We are lucky enough to live close enough to this take away to be able to easily collect. They do however offer a delivery service. The menu is extensive and the food cooked to order. This does usually mean ordering 30 minutes in advance for takeaways or up to an hour in advance for deliveries, but it's well worth it for the quality of freshly cooked food they will reward you with. Portion size is good and the food is well packaged to stay fresh and hot on its way to you. In my opinion this is good authentic UK Indian food and the whole family loves it. There are other good places locally, but this is our favorite. It is also worth noting that they actively support the local community including supporting initiatives to feed the homeless.

I have been to many takeaways in Bristol but this is the best. ordered food for 8 people and the curry was spot on, the madras was nice and hot, chicken korma was very creamy, and all the dishes was full of flavour, and not oily like the others. As a curry critique that tried many different places, this is the best takeaway in Bristol. I am now regular

Firstly, our £50 order was handed to a stranger. After we had to argue that we did not receive the food and the driver had asked a random person on the street if they ordered take away and willingly handed it to them. They had to cook it and send it again. The speed of this turn around after a heated argument was the only highlight of this restaurant. I’m from the midlands and know a good curry when I eat one. Hands down, this is the worst curry house I have ever come across. This one didn’t even look good. I ordered a chicken tikka masala which shared the same colour and consistency as Heinz cream of tomato soup (if the soup was mixed with a pint of water). Once my spoon passed the tasteless, luminous broth. I reached a few dry, chewy blobs of chicken. My vegetable samosas were tiny, greasy and obviously cooked in the microwave. The insides seemed to only consist of mushy peas. My vegan friend was given a Nan labelled ‘plain’ but turned out to be garlic and cheese. Don’t get me started on my girlfriends korma. Just reread everything I wrote about the masala but just imagine you’ve just seen a 4 week old baby regurgitate a creamy yellow yogurt. And if that didn’t put you off then I don’t have to tell you the quality of the cheese and garlic nan. This isn’t the only bad curry in Bristol though. I’m yet to find a decent one. They’re all awful. How can people proudly cook and sell this stuff claiming it’s the food of their heritage?

Really tasty food, clearly freshly made to order, and very satisfying. The chicken and lamb were both succulent, not once chewy or over-cooked. One vegan, one meat+chilli lover and 3 children averse to spice heat, we try to choose a couple of "familiars" and a couple of things we've never tried before; I can report that the vegetable bhaji dishes were full of flavour, typically oily (not totally oil-free, but definitely not swimming either) and not particularly spicy (that's not a problem!) The Safran Bedam was a pleasant surprise, and very mild, like an unusual korma. The Rezala, in stark comparison had - no exaggeration - 8 green chillies sliced in half. It was very tasty, but we had to take the chillies out; it was full of eye-watering, lingering heat and leaving them in would have made it inedible on reheating the next day! We also got the Nihari and the Roshuni, and (I think I have this the right way around 😁) whilst the Nihari was enjoyably tongue-tingling, the Roshuni completely stole the show. Slightly luminous pinky-red, it was as if someone had taken a tandoori chicken, and made the most wonderful sauce from the spice mix. If I see this on any menus again, I'll definitely be ordering it again. What was really impressive was that every "special" seemed to be available in a variety of "fillers" - meat, vegetable or potato - which was so helpful for our family's diverse palate. I've said it already, but we'll definitely be back.

I would not recommend this place. We ordered a takeaway from them tonight at 18:52 and it was due to be delivered at 19:49. It has just arrived at 20:26. When my husband called them to complain they were extremely rude to him. The food was nothing special after all that - the vegetable balti was mainly onion and the garlic naan contained no garlic. We won’t be bothering again.

It’s hard to choose an Indian takeaway in this area because there are so many. But the Rajasthan Royal is a gem. Never had a bad dish from here; they never disappoint.

I found the food to be a bit greasy but lovely flavours and good size portions. Nice, polite delivery driver.

Fair too hot/spicy yet have had the same dish numerous times else where and have always cleared my plate, waste of money and left hungry 😡😡😡

I rang to double check when my food would arrive I was told 45mins - 1hour which gave me enough time to walk the dogs. I get about 15 mins away from my house and I receive a phone call to say the driver is my door! Driver was very polite and was very patient as I had to rush back, unfortunately I was very disappointed with the food tonight which made the situation much worse 😣

The food was good and tasty but we felt the vegetables in the dishes were a little 'frozen bag of veg' style (plus some onions and mushrooms) and, as someone else mentioned, a little on the watery side. Friday night takeaway turned into a major disappointment. Trying Rajasthan for the first time turned out to be a big let down. The "house special" curries billed as medium and hot were both quite flavourless, bland and oily. The garlic naan cold, very doughy and with little garlic flavour. The best thing was the pilau rice and free potato side - says it all. Maybe it was just busy on a Friday night and not the usual service - but I won't be rushing back in a hurry.

If we'd stopped at the poppadoms & chutneys we'd have rated it 5 stars... the food wasn't bad, but it wasn't to our taste. The prawn on purée was lacking depth of flavour, the madras was too tomatoey, the dhansak too sweet. To be fair though, the free vegetable curry they gave us was very nice. A bit disappointing given their overall scores, but hey, you can't win them all... or it might have been an off day?
