Rajdoot in Hillingdon

We went on a cold Wednesday night soon after New Year, so it was very quiet in the restaurant with little atmosphere. The food was very good and excellent value for money. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes Indian food.

Very disappointed. The Food still great but the service was really bad. We had to call waiter to take order. We had to call waiter to clear table after sitting around dirty plates for 20 minutes. We were not offered desert or coffee to finish. We booked two weeks before and confirmed the day before and no table was prepared, even though the restaurant was mostly empty. Shame, as the service here used to be so good. Disappointed.

Nice decor, welcoming restaurant with pleasant staff. The food however, wasn't great. Small portions for the price, and not much taste. Chicken wasn't fresh.

The chicken Makani was more like chicken curry as the chicken wasn’t cut up and Cartlidge and bone and the and the curry sauce was watery in both curries

Went there last night with my brother and nephew for a boys night out meal I must say one of the staff members possibly the manager had a serious attitude problem The food was cold had no flavour the chicken was dry so I will not be going back there waste of money When I told the staff member about the food he didn’t seem to care

Excellent Indian restaurant, the best in Ruislip, spacious with a tasty menu that should suit most tastes.

The was great not to long to wait between dishes, our server was terrible you could see he did not want to be there, no eye contact with his customers, no pleasantries, asked for tabke water 4 times before receiving. The other servers seemed to bo happy & upbeat. I mentioned this on our way out & the bar man said its just his face he always looks like that!! Lol not one glimpse of a smile all night yet the restaurant put 10% service charge on top. He should work at KARENS . Due to that will not be going back shame as food good

Rubbish what has happened to this restaurant !!!!!. Food turned up with a main dish missing, phoned the restaurant only to be told do you need it no apology and then waited 20 minutes for that to turn up. When eating it the chicken was awful. All went in the bin. l have used this place for over 25 years and it's gone to pot. Food hygiene rating of 1 star !!!!!!!!!!!!

Cold food arrived extremely late

I love this place, been coming here for 20 years and it’s not disappointed now! The service was unrushed (in the best way), food recommend by Sabjit was top notch! So nice to try something new. Can’t wait to come back. Cheers guys! ❤️

I've had 100s of currys from lots of places but this comes in low on the list. ordered a Korma as it's the only curry my daughter likes. The sauce was almost white and sickly sweet. arrived cold. mushroom rice was also nothing to write home about and my daughters exact words were 'i have had worse food - but not a worse Curry'. With so many other choices I shant return.

Very disappointed. Have been here a few times and ordered brinjal bhaji as side...no aubergines.Ordered decaf coffee after meal...no decaf. Ordered a Baileys instead...no Baileys. Probably won't bother going back

Ordered a take away , had chicken mechani, chicken was hard and certainly didn't taste fresh , namm bread was also stone cold , as where the samosas and onion bhaji, so all had to be reheated in the microwave, will def6not be ordering from here again, very disappointing

Great food, good menu and nice and hot.

Original estimate for delivery was 19:15 and then changed to between 19:10-19:30. It came 10mins late. However total deliver time was 1 hour 15mins from the order time. Considering the restaurant is a 10minute drive I see this as unacceptable. This was my fiancée birthday meal.

New Year's Eve: Great food. Great price for New Year's Eve. Stayed open late so us old fogies could do Auld Lang Syne. Superb customer experience. 2 years ago : 60th birthday celebration. Good food and service. Very good value. Great tolerance from the staff. An excellent evening. Recommended.

Been eating here for over ten years, it's our local Indian. Lovely staff, food is always great.

Recently had a take away that was very nice,so decided to go there for a meal. It was a big disappointment..Lamb tikka inedible as it was so tough it couldn't be cut with a knife.My chicken dish was dry and meat tasted old. When this was pointed out to staff there was no apology . We refused to pay for the lamb which was left untouched. We will not be going back.

Service and food not what it used to be

Tasty food but arrived late and stone cold. Wrong bread delivered which is paid extra for! Couldn’t be different from eating in there which is always amazing!

Yet again the take away was fantastic. Portions are enough for two!

Sauce lovely chicken a bit dry, size of chunks far to big maybe but overall nice.

Our food finally arrived at 8.20 1hr 15mins after ordering,even though the app said between 7.45 & 8.05, and now shows it was delivered at 7.50 which isn’t correct. The food was also cold, we have ordered a number of times and never usually have an issue.

Food was excellent, by far the best Indian I've tried in the Ruislip area. Ordered two completely different dishes between two with sides and both fantastic. The was an error with one of the sides but this corrected very quickly with no fuss. Some of the older staff could be a little more warming with their welcome and service but this made little overall difference to the atmosphere and experience. Mens toilet could do with a refurbishment!

I was ordering a curry for one to be delivered as I didn’t spend £20.00 or more they charged me £6.50 delivery mor than a cab would charge for that distance, the popadoms were stale and the lamb was very chewy, won’t be ordering from there again.😩

Ordered a takeaway, chicken has hard, sauce cold, had to microwave it, was too sweet and bland, bharji's were burnt, cold and dripping with cold oil.. went straight in the bin, the naan was cold as well as the rice... total dissatisfaction, wished we'd stuck with our usual!! Lesson learnt. Wouldn't recommend.

Ordered a curry to watch the Rugby World Cup final and it took well over one hour for it to be delivered. When it arrived while it was very tasty, it wasn’t very hot (not spicy hot, that was fine). I called to chase my delivery and was told oh, it’ll be another 10-15 minutes! Not impressed! Not only that, they now charge for delivery and also charge extra if you pay by card over the phone which they never used to do. While eating in the restaurant is fine (going on previous experience) they seriously need to up their game when it comes to home delivery - I shall think very hard before ordering a takeaway/delivery in the future

Quality of meat very poor with fat and gristle. Service poor had to wait 15 mins to pay the bill. Portion size not good.

The food arrived cold and looked unappetising- it was late yet the just eat app said it had been delivered 15 mins before it arrived m.

Been eating here for many years and always had a great meal. Until now...Really disappointed to find I was eating roar chicken. Told staff and they quickly replaced the dish, by that point I didn't really want anymore, it really put me off!! He simply said take it home. No acknowledgement of the fact the meat was roar. I consider this extremely poor customer service. Then to wake in the night with the worst cramps and sweats and felt like death!!! Thank you for giving me food poisoning 🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢

My main (chicken makhani/butter chicken) also was inedible. Again the chicken had a strange rubbery texture like it had been reheated in a microwave, I could barely cut into it! The sauce was a bland basic tomato sauce with none of the creaminess you would expect. The whole meal went in the bin. Honestly one of my worst takeaways ever.

The food was lovely but some of the breads were cold. The restaurant was really nicely decorated but all the tables and chairs were a bit close together. Overall the dinner was lovely and we had a great time.

I’ve been to the restaurant 100s of times but this takeaway wasn’t to their usual standard. I’m very disappointed. The Dupiaza was just pure oil for sauce and the Shashlik had a very odd sweet taste (again, totally different to dining in). The lamb starter was also very tough and tasteless. Overall - very disappointing. The only nice parts of the meal were the rice and Naan bread.

I ordered the Seafood Masala and it was gorgeous, so much meat and beautifully cooked! Would highly recommend.

It was the worst meal I’ve ever had from rajdoot and have been going for 20 years. The food was 2/10. Apart from it being far too early and I had specified a particular time. You also disregarded my request for the veg curry to be madras hot. And the chicken 65 was just horrible. The rest of the food was very poor in taste too. I am used to so much better from you.

We ordered a takeaway from Rajdoot last weekend for a birthday celebration. The food was absolutely horrendous. The prawns were in a soggy batter with the most foul tasting sauce. Chicken tikka masala tasted like the chicken had been soaked in a cleaning chemical. Unable to eat any of it. We have been loyal customers over the years and have never received such shocking food. We will not be returning.

Really excellent food!! We have been searching for a good local Indian and this is excellent. The food is always really tasty and it is so reasonably priced. Last week we got a butter chicken, saag aloo, Bombay potato, pilau rice and peshwari naan as a take away all for £22 which did two of us for dinner and we had left over curry for two lunches the next day!! We have also tried the starters which have all been really good, especially the kebabs and onion bhajis. Great portion size, taste and value for money. We even enjoy going there, the restaurant and the toilets are always super clean and the staff are really polite and nice. Fabulous tasty food and would definitely recommend!

Used to be lovely. Last few times it's been poor. Food fair to Average. Service also poor now too slow and a bit rude. So I'm afraid didn't think I be back.

I have been coming to Rajdoot for years. The food is delicious, I recommend the Butter chicken and the Tandoori tiger prawn masala. Had excellent service by Amin today.

Got a delivery , food was not as advertised no taste small portions ,very disappointed was a customer of this restaurant when we lived in the manor 4 years ago , save your money

Ordered lamb shish as I had in the restaurant about 3 weeks ago and it was melt in the mouth delicious. Sadly the delivery cold the lamb was not tender and it tasted smoked - I was unable to eat it. The chicken madras was decidedly mediocre as was the chicken tikka masala. Garlic Nan was stone cold. So disappointing as the meal in the restaurant was lovely. Won’t be ordering a delivery again.

Ordered a lamb rogan josh and got a container of tomatoes, with 2 pieces of crushed up lamb.

Very disappointed as the dip for the popodums has changed and it wasn’t nice, also the peshwari naan was burnt and not very nice.

The food was very good and worthy of 5 stars but the less than average service drags it down. No real greeting on arrival, we weren’t shown to our table and given menus, instead our table was pointed out to us from a distance. Waited 10 minutes for a server to ask if we wanted drinks. The drinks took another 6 or 7 minutes to arrive and they arrived separately. At no point during the meal did anyone ask if the food was ok and we had to find someone to get fresh drinks as our glasses sat empty for 7 or 8 minutes. We got the bill and after waiting sometime, we ended up going to the bar to pay. Again, no one asked if we enjoyed the meal. The server just said ‘tap here’ referring to the card machine and we left. I had booked the table 3 weeks in advance, yet we felt like we were an inconvenience to a busy restaurant. The main reason I’m so frustrated is that the restaurant had the audacity to add 10% service charge to the bill. It’s a real shame because the chefs produce excellent food but the service leaves a bad taste!

Food arrived early. There was a missing item from the order and it was delivered cold. Our mains were tepid at best and the naans were stone cold. With the costs spiraling you would expect the restaurant to really want to improve their service to guarantee repeat business. Disappointed

Nice room decor and seating zones. we ordered too much again. Indian menu run by Bangladeshi.. 4 star for effort.

Our local Indian restaurant and it’s the best! We always have such wonderful service by the friendliest staff! Food is always stunning! If you want something different then just ask as they love to accommodate different tastes! Will always come back to Rajdoot!

Food EVENTUALLY arrived cold. Was over 2 hours late called restaurant twice told 15mins both times I live 6minutes for the restaurant . No Partial refund offer no voucher. They were my regular Indian restaurant but not after tonight. Been let down!
