Quite empty but food and service very good

The atmosphere could have been better. It was cramped in the conference room and cold near the windows. The service was superb. Food - starters were great but mains were alright. The name definitely is not easy to remember and refer to other people. It does not have a catchy name

Love this restaurant. Beautifully decorated keeping it authentic. Had our Christmas Day dinner here. What a treat. Exceptional sharing platter to start, followed by Chilli Chicken and RaRa Lamb. Wonderful friendly hosts. Thank you, will be back again. One of the best Christmas days we’ve ever had. 💕

Primera vez que se abre el día de Navidad y un número saludable de reservas por el aspecto de las cosas. El menú normal que se ofrece, lo cual me parece algo bueno. Comida excelente y servicio amable y acogedor, Recomendado.

Food is excellent. Real punjabi taste. Spices and taste are excellent. Service people are little lost . They need to improve. They even added item to bill which I have not ordered though they deleted when pointed out. Rest everything is perfect .

Exceptional set meals with plenty of variety, certainly not cheap, but makes it up in quality of dishes...well worth a visit.

Staff are friendly and helpful. Restaurant is very bright clean and just lovely. I will be back. Super place.

Hidden gem in the jewellery quarter which also has a fabulous separate function room. Food and service are impeccable well worth a visit.

Aunque estoy seguro de que el buffet era muy bueno si te levantaste temprano mi mesa estaba cerca del final del servicio y fue un poco decepcionante. Los asientos eran muy estrechos, ya que supongo que trataron de conseguir la mayor cantidad de gente posible. El servicio de mesa era confuso con vasos de agua, pero no agua hasta más de la mitad de la noche. Estoy seguro de que otro día este sería un lugar encantador, pero para un evento grupal apretado fue decepcionante.

Amazing service from Raj Miah and he made it extra special for my husbands birthday with getting him cake and candle and whisky shot on the house. He was very attentive and made sure our drinks were refilled. The food was lovely .We were suggested very good dishes to try.Must try the ginger lamb ginger chops and the chilli lamb !

Been here a few times and it never fails to deliver. Beautifully, stylishly decorated, lovely bar area for pre drinks. Lovely restaurant, good quality cutlery and linen napkins. Food is extremely tasty and authentic. Staff are really friendly and notice when you need another drink. This place is so relaxing and the whole setting is so beautiful and indianised . We ordered some food for the 4 of us and it was mind blowing. The king prawn goan curry was amazing so was the paneer, methi chicken and chicken Hyderabadi - authentic Indian taste - all dishes were fantastic. I have never been to a restaurant and loved every single bit of every single dish we ordered. A must try! You won’t regret it!! Superb !!

Really great food, we had two very tasty chicken dishes, with garlic Naan and Garlic rice. The staff are very friendly and the place is nice and peaceful. One of the best Currys in Birmingham for sure… and I’ve tried most of them.

The best curry restaurant I have ever been to hands down. The service was exceptional, the decor is amazing and comfortable especially with the corner coffee bar which is a great spot to chill after. The whole meal was so flavourful and genuinely the best curry I’ve ever had. I was only in Birmingham for one night and not from nearby but if I’m ever back in Birmingham again I will make an effort to go back to this spot. Top service too!!

First visit since new owners apparently took over a couple of months ago. The changes are not good. After twenty years visiting we won’t be going back. Not authentic Indian as we knew it.

An absolutely delightful Indian restaurant in the jewellery quarter of Birmingham. If you're coming by car there is plenty of on street parking. Lovely decor, and a very friendly welcome from the staff. We had poppadoms which were lovely and spicy, but only had mint yoghurt and raita dips, no mango chutney. Small issue! Mains were exceptional. We had minced keema curry and Rajdoot Chicken, with sides of Naan, Paratha, onion bhaji and Pilau rice. We couldn't fault a thing. Great flavours and spicing. We ate the lot. Highly recommend.

Rajdoot is fabulous. Great food , excellent service and a wonderful atmosphere that never disappoints. In fact having been a regular customer for over 25 years we can confirm that Rajdoot is consistently reliable , and that is something very few restaurants manage to achieve. We now live in Hampshire but whenever visiting Birmingham we always make sure of another visit to this wonderful restaurant and we hope to be booking a table soon. P&J Smith

Much too expensive for the quality of food, and much better and cheaper south Asian food nearby.

The restaurant's interior design is exquisite. After my first visit, I'm certain it won't be my last. The food is incredibly authentic, and the atmosphere has a royal feel. The service is also very efficient. I thoroughly enjoyed the overall experience.

I visited Rajdoot Birmingham and had Chicken Biryani take out. It is worst ever Biryani I tasted. Mouth full of raw spices, wet stalled rice and uncooked chicken pieces. Cook should be ashamed to say that as Indian cuisine. I have serious concerns on standards of this restaurant. Please do not sell the food if it is not fresh.

We went to Rajdoot for my husband's birthday, food has been really lovely every time we have been. This time it wasn't the same, starters were definitely better than the main. We had the platter for 2 and chilli paneer, to be honest I have had better food elsewhere. We had 2 chicken curries, again were ok. Will not rush back especially for what you pay.

I have been going here for 40 years! Always top quality, way above your average curry house both in terms of food and atmosphere. Not as trendy as some of the latest Indians but consistently good. Set lunch is a bargain but unfortunately no longer for £4 when I first came.

I suspect there are very few who would not like the decor and ambience here. The service too is friendly and very accommodating. That said the starter came out two minutes after the poppadoms. The food didn't quite 'do it' for us. The dips with the poppadoms were too hot for the wife and I wouldn't have wanted them any hotter. The very expensive onion bhaji was a bit oily and there wasn't much effort made with the salad. It felt like there had been a mix up in the kitchen regarding the mains. My 'Nepalese inspired special' should have been hot but it wasn't. The wife's bhuna should have been medium but contained green chilli and what looked like red chilli flakes. I don't have a problem with madras or the like but her's was hot. The characteristic of both mains was that of a slightly 'creamy' gravy which isn't what I would go for. The sides were excellent as were the drinks. They very graciously dealt with the problem and were more than happy to please but unfortunately it did mar the evening. Overall I thought it was rather pricey for what we had, even if it had been a better evening. It's been around for a very long time so must be doing something right and I feel we were just unlucky on the night.

Food was excellent. You must try their Kulfi,is a delicious dessert. Beautiful setting and a relaxed convivial atmosphere.The staff were well mannered and attentive. I would definitely recommend it.

Butter chicken here is just amazing

Disappointing experience. The chicken biryani was just curry with rice. The lamb curries were mediocre and one of them, despite being shown as two chillies on the menu, was not at all spicy. We have been to rajdoot before and the food was lovely but this experience left a lot to be desired.

The surroundings were pleasant, the venue was clean and food tasty and service excellent.

I found the food to be steady. However the soft drinks were not nice. The atmosphere is not relaxed and can bring in large loud crowds ready to go on a night out. On a positive the Chicken curry and Nan bread was decent.

Great place to dine, the atmosphere is pleasant and the decor adds to the dining experience, the service is great and the food is made to a great standard, I highly recommend!

Visited on a weekend. Was pleasantly quiet. Ambience is fantastic. Great customer service. Food was out within 15/20 minutes. Manager and chef both very friendly. Expensive for the amount of portions but it was great taste. Not typically oily like normal indian restaurants. Naans were great and soft.

Nice ambience, well trained staff, amazing royal interiors, quality foods are some of rich features of the restaurant. If you want some classic royal Rajasthani theme on some special occasion, would recommend this restaurant.

It is simply the tops! I went to Rajdoot after many years of being abroad. It took me completely down the memory lane. I ordered vegetarian dishes and they were all superb. Wonderful service. Delightful!

The best Indian restaurant in Birmingham. Authentic and delicious food in distinctive surroundings. I've been eating Indian food for over 30 years and this is the place is where I always go for special occasions. Recently visited for a special occasion the food was really a cut above the rest. The lamb chilli bhuna and the garlic chilli chicken were exceptional. As with all restaurants the prices have gone up here but this place is worth it.

Hi we had visited this restaurant with freind and to be honest the venue was nice but the food was appalling, if you truly believe this is indian food then you have not visited a true Indian restaurant, the starters were undercooked and was told that no one else has complained when reporting this issue, furthermore was told we had to pay for the mains after ordering them even though they did not arrive after having tasteless undercooked starters. The service was poor as the starters that were supposed to come out together came out separately and then items on a meat platter did not even come out on the same plate as they said its still Cooking, this was the item that was not cooked properly when brought out eventually. You cannot charge premium prices and serve a plate that looks like the one i have attached. This was a complete waste of money and i would not recommend it to anyone. Take your money elsewhere!

Awful, absolute disaster. Visited 2 weeks ago, starter (aloo tikki) was uncooked, raw dough ball. Staff agreed and replaced with a Smash potato samosa. Very bland food. I don't consider this Indian cuisine. Cancelled mains after much debate with staff. Recommend a trip across town to Asha's. Not much more on prices and x100 on flavour. Would not recommend this to a hungry dog. I selected 1 Star as it's the minimum, otherwise I would have chosen 0 star.

Best Indian I have ever had! Luckily, I live only an hour away from this delightful place. Otherwise, my yearly flight bills will be expensive for how much I crave their food!

Very worst restaurent ever been. Need to wait much much longer for the ordered food. Prices are also too high. Especially don’t take Samosa. It’s a frozen one, they serve it by heating. Added to this much more disappointment comes with the taste, which you will regret. Didn’t taste non-veg or any Tandoor items, which you can.

Terrible service, very late and wrong order. No apology or recognition of issues.

Really poor service, waiting for over 1 hour for food. Had to ask twice how long food would take. Had to prompt the staff to ask for drinks order. They got order incorrect and then got the bill wrong. No apology offered despite such poor service and they still had the cheek to add a service charge onto a 4 person meal.

The food was not that great. But beyond that I was there with 25+ property developers we were enjoying our food having a laugh about things in business and the staff repeatedly came over to tell us we must not have fun and laugh. Because a small family thought we were being loud. What kind of nonsense People cannot have a meal and conversation with laughter???? Utterly ridiculous Should have not paid. My food was also cold by the time my rice came too.

Do not eat from here . The way they treated me was beyond disgusting . I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone . Stay far!!

This is the best Indian I have ever eaten in. Having travelled my fair share as a avid food lover I cannot begin to express how good this place. Many Asian's dine here which is a typical tell tell sign of the quality! Service is second to non & the flavours are out of this world.

We had dinner today at this restaurant and ordered chicken biryani, Chicken karahi and kulcha. All items are not meet our expectations, for chicken biryani is totally tasteless, it’s like mixed the chicken with cooked masala rice. For curry we told them to make it spicy but they didn’t do that. It’s totally sweet one. We will request to other people please don’t go this restaurant with reviews only.
