The best of the best. The only place you can get very hot curries still with so much flavour. Could not recommend enough.

La comida era agradable, pero wr se sintió muy apresurado, todavía estábamos comiendo nuestros poppadoms y vinieron pidiendo nuestra orden, todavía comiendo fuera unos últimos bocados y comenzaron a tomar nuestros platos, no cerraron durante otros 20 minutos ao no estoy seguro de lo que prisa loca era, pero por favor calentar el lugar con un poco de calefacción!

El servicio fue extremadamente apresurado. Nos preguntaron qué queríamos pedir 30 segundos después de que nos dieron los menús. Todavía tenía mi tenedor en la boca cuando me quitaron el plato. La comida fue golpeada y falló. Algo sabroso y algo soso. Precio justo. Iría de nuevo solo para ver si el servicio mejora. Si no lo hace, no volveremos.

We have been travelling to Rajput restaurant and takeaway for nearly 15 years. We’ve always travelled to it, no matter where we lived in Sheffield. We even used to travel from Dronfield when we briefly lived out there. Never disappoints. The staff are great on both sides and the restaurant is BYOB. Winner! Special mention to the Chicken Karahi, Chicken Korma and the best Bombay potatoes you’ll find!

Really good! Ordered for 6 people at around 8:30pm. Food was ready to collect within 30-40mins. Everyone enjoyed their food and we even got some extras dips chucked in. The restraunt also looked fairly busy with a nice atmosphere - I would like to try dining in.

Rajput Indian Restaurant es una visita obligada para cualquier persona que anhela la auténtica cocina india. La combinación de deliciosa comida, excelente servicio y un ambiente acogedor lo convierten en un destino gastronómico destacado. Definitivamente volveré para disfrutar más de sus deliciosos platos. El restaurante también ofrece una variedad de platos vegetarianos. Las porciones fueron generosas, y la presentación fue impecable.

The Staff were polite and did their absolute best to come to your needs as soon as they can, especially during the busy hours on weekend. Food was tasteful and the right temperature. For those who drink alcohol, would need to bring their own as they don’t have a license. Any problems these guys would be quick to fix it and make sure you leave wanting to return again. Been here many times and found food and service always of a good standard . However this last visit was disappointing. The older waiter had little idea of how to serve food to customers and was passing it across the table. Very odd . It was a quiet evening with only a handful of customers The place was cold and smelt of damp . The seats were filthy and the place is generally tired and looks like it needs a deep clean . Normally the place is full so you don’t notice the chairs etc but because it was quiet on our last visit we saw it in the light of day so to speak and the bench seating was disgusting. Really dirty . Toilets were tired and smelly and no hot water . Taps spun round and nothing to wipe hands on. Will not return until some Cleaning has been done sorry .

Food was bland and room temp at best, service was very much below standard had better service and curry from a Wetherspoons and that says a lot. Would not return as the price did not reflect the service or food quality disappointed is an understatement.

Food very mid. Overpriced for standard. Starter not hot. Given bill then when came to pay, waiter turned it over to see another total with a tenner added on. When we asked questions were told it was originally added up wrong but there was plenty of space on the front of the bill to have corrected the total. Just seemed odd. Too many staff so floor just overcrowded with lads stood round not knowing what to do. Lamb totally overdone, ate one or two bites and rest went untouched.

Food was very nice I did really enjoy it. The staff never came round and asked if everything was OK, we struggled getting a second drink and had to get up to ask. Also the old fella when putting our food down was banging it on the table really hard which I found extremely rude. Last moan is they put us beside the window and there was masses of flies around us. Would I go back... possibly as the food was quite nice but I think the staff were terrible

We have visited the Raj many times over the years and our last visit was as good as ever. Good food at a good price and it benefits from the dram shop being over the road for drinks.

We were in town for a reunion with our travelling companion's friends-- they did their post doc studies here. The gaggle of nine of us piled into the restaurant on a reservation and had an absolutely delightful evening. Everybody got something different and every bit of it was amazing. Our friend can be a bit of a snob about Indian food, so for them to give it a five star is a big compliment!. If you happen to be in Sheffield and want some good Indian food I'd highly recommend it. They have something for all spice levels-- I can't do any spice anymore and the mango delight was over the top good.

Gorgeous, amazing food, beautifully cooked. Rarely had Indian food as good. I've never gad Mango Chicken before, it was glorious.

Family meal out. I am not from the area but was visiting family. The meal was absolutely delicious and more importantly felt fresh and very tasty. I have seen previous comments about staff but the waiter we had was superb. Just remember it is take your own alcohol although there is an off licence just across the road. Would definitely recommend.

Food was amazing... no complaints.. The older guy who was waiting and serving seemed very stressed and slightly angry? 5 stars would have been given had it not been for old guy making us feel like we were a sting in his backside 🤔

This is my favourite Indian restaurant, never had a bad meal. My go to curry is garlic chilli chicken which is superb, also you can take your own alcohol.

My partner has been coming here for over 20 years, I recently started to enjoy the right of passage. The food is phenomenal (coming from London where we have a huge amount of Indian restaurants, I can hand on heart say The Rajput is one of the bests I’ve come across). The chicken is always so tender with no gristle, portion sizes are very generous and the food is the perfect balance of spices and heat. I always look forward to coming to Sheffield so I can indulge in a Rajput. It is the highlight of my trip!

We regularly order from Rajput and o don’t tend to review … but they are consistently amazing and we have not had a bad dish from them ever. Their meat is of high quality and their bahjis are delicious. Keep it up Rajput, we have tried many takeaways closer to us but travel back to you each time. 10/10

Thirty of us went there for a Christmas dinner with work. The service was awful. Despite having pre-ordered the food, we had to wait for more than an hour before anything arrived. In the meantime, there was no apology or explanation for the delay, on the contrary, we were completely ignored and we had to struggle to even ask for some water. When some of us asked when the food would arrive, the response was rude. Definitely not recommended for large groups.

Good food at reasonable prices though be aware you will need to bring your own booze as no license held.

Consistently good, always a reliable curry. Bring your own too and the Dram shop across the road is a perfect place to pick your tipple. Small restaurant but somehow manage to get a good number of tables in. Onion bhajis are very good and recommended. The takeaway restaurant is next door so don’t be confused.

We visited the restaurant tonight for a meal for my son’s birthday. The food came quickly and was hot but very average. The staff however were unfriendly and arrogant, they obviously wanted to close early and we felt uncomfortable,rushed and intimidated even though we had a 7.45 booking. They disappeared into the kitchen before we left and didn’t reappear.Won’t be going again and wouldn’t recommend this place at all.

The food is nice and great that you can bring your own alcoholic drinks but the staff are very rude and impatient.

Rajput is an average curry house with less than average service. The food was mediocre at best and the atmosphere was off putting, it was full of people all shouting with no respect for other tables. The waiters try to rush you through by bringing your next whilst you’re still eating your last.

Have ordered from here a handful Of times, the food is piping hot, fresh, and delicious. They have often given us free things with our orders like poppadoms and naans. Any dish with chicken tikka here is exceptional, melt in the mouth tender chicken that is perfectly spiced. If I lived closer to The Rajput I’d be there daily if I could! Cannot wait for my next meal there.

We were apprehensive about visiting because of the sparse and mixed reviews but we are so glad we went last night! Absolutely lovely service and the food is top tier!! We went as a couple and had mixed starter, chicken and keema balti apna style, lamb karai apna style, garlic rice, chips & garlic naan. All dishes were so fresh and delicious. We ask for apna style which is the best & so authentic and we were very happy they were perfect. It’s also bring your own alcohol so that’s great too. The restaurant was full and busy a nice mix of families couples and friend groups. Certainly our new fave!

Such good food. We are new to the area and slowly making our way round the local restaurants. Its BYOB which is fine by us. The hostess was really pleasent. Would recommend.

Upon sitting down I could feel the HUM of excitement coming from my fellow curry lovers. It was clear everyone was excited to be hit with a steady DRONE of great taste across every dish. The deep and spicy flavours rose from my mouth to my ears, offering a highly pleasant TINNITUS like sensation. I can only give this fantastic restaurant the most positive FEEDBACK. Amen xxx

The food was less than average. The bharji's were very dry and overcooked. The main course, there was a chicken bone in the rice. The staff were less than helpful and the place was freezing. Won't go again.

We have had the worse takeaway curry ever ,the meat was tough ,salty, dry, no sauce on the so called curry! salty chicken is very off putting?Waste of money,not cheap either, and only takes cash? Avoid unless you have a strong stomach,awful.

Nicest curry I've had in Sheffield for a long time. It's a Bring Your Own venue. Only slight criticism is the staff, while being faultless at their jobs, seemed a little what? Formal? Distant? I like a little interaction with staff when out for a meal. But the food: superb!!

Love Rajput have no bad words to say about the food because its delicious every time. But when dining in on Monday night the service was really slow our table was booked for 7.15 got there on time . It took a good 50 min for starters to come out . Then had to wait a hour + for the mains was worth the wait but just not when you have 2 kids complaining they are hungry, the restaurant was not busy at all but other than that it's so worth the money

I walked 3.3 kms past several other similar restaurants to eat here and it was worth every step. The flavour is second to none! The naan bread, the saag, the rice … everything. The naan was lovely! I’ve lived in various places across the globe and this place is still my fave. Would highly recommend!

We visted this restaurant for the first time in over a year. OMG how this restaurant has gone down hill, The food used to be very good and the service was good. That has changes dramatically, I ordered a tandoori chicken that used to come with a sauce but not any more the meal was very dry and avarage at best. But the service of the staff was the worst I've ever experienced. No manners whatsoever and they made you feel more like an inconvenience rather than a paying customer. They brought the bill with four chocolates, one for each customer when the tray returned with the change the chocolates had gone. Quite incredible. Don't waste your money.

As previous reviews rightly mention, the staff here are sooo rude. I was passing by with my friend and I was hungry so decided to go in and grab a quick dinner. When we entered, the place was completely empty so we actually thought they were closed. There were two not very enthusiastic waiters there. I ordered chicken (starter) and chips, to have it as a main, I'm a tiny girl so this was a big portion for me, and we got drinks and poppadom too. Then the waiter had a go at me for only ordering a starter and chips! And said in a very rude manner that we're not supposed to come here and only had that to eat...we were mindblown by the fact that the waiter was making us feel guilty for what I ordered, and also...the place was completely emtpy?! I ate the food because I was hungry, but I wouldn't be surprised if they spat in my food tbh. Definitely will not be returning to this indian restaurant ever again.

We usually go to Jaflong (Crookes) but fancied a change so we thought we’d give Rajput a go. We’ve been before as a family and it’s always been ok. In hindsight we really wish we hadn’t. Staff were rude - they couldn’t even get our drink order right and there was only 3 of us and none of us drinking alcohol. Our server seemed more interested in chatting with colleagues than doing her job. My partner who has limited mobility was told he couldn’t use the disabled toilet and had to use the gents - we argued this one and won! Tbh, we should have left at that point! However, we thought that the food would be ok so we put our reservations behind us. The food was terrible. The chicken jalfrezi tasted like it had come from a jar and the chicken was like scraps of chicken. The vegetable biryani sauce, which came with the special biryani was supposed to be vindaloo strength was nothing like that and extremely bland. By the end of the meal we couldn’t wait to leave. It was really unpleasant. We did give the staff feedback but they were rude and patronising. Needless to say we won’t be going back. We’ll be sticking with Jaflong in future!!

A party of 9 of us visited recently. The food was lovely as always however the service was terrible. We were made to feel like an inconvenience, no checking to see if we wanted to order additional drinks/food. We were served the bill before we could even ask. The staff looked miserable, a real tense atmosphere created. When we paid we left a decent tip and were not even thanked for visiting.

Although the food we ate was nice, the service received when advising of an issue was not acceptable! We called the waiter, explained what was on the plate. The waiter took the plate & then came back with the article removed and said Chef says there is nothing there ( of course not as he'd just removed it) !! So basically called us Liars !!!! which didn't go down too well !! Then he continued to argue with us in front of the full restaurant - Really unprofessional ! It is the 1st and last time we will ever go here.

Really good food would definitely recommend. Book in advance as it gets really busy and full so you need to book it. Would 100 percent visit this restaurant. We will definitely be going back again.

Lovely place to go for an Indian. The food was very tasty and the staff were attentive at all times. We went as a group of 6 and all members of our party enjoyed their meals. As mentioned the staff were very good as well. Checking in to see if all was ok and if we needed anything else. Would recommend for either couples or larger groups.

Food, service and environment were superb.

4 families dined and we all ordered different meals, however when they came they all looked exactly the same ! they use the same sauce for all dishes. but on the worrying side the chicken was hard and tasted not of chicken at all. For those that ordered chicken dishes out of the 16 dining, none could eat their dish. when we asked the manager and showed him that none of us had eaten he dismissed it and said the chef said there’s nothing wrong with the chicken and dismissed our concern. Appalling customer service and therefore all 4 families will not be returning. Since our visit I have been informed by another family that they also had to complain about the chicken And their concerns were dismissed too and so they will not be returning either. Boldmere is a very close-knit community and negative feedback spreads quickly and therefore they should really think about providing better customer service and listen to their customers in the future.

There's an Indian like this one on every high street in Britain. The food was merely ok, slightly above average prices. I had to walk to the nearest cash point, which was a half mile round trip. No notice on the website, wasn't mentioned on the phone. Food was cold through when I got in, despite being promised it'd be kept warm. On their own none of these are a deal-breaker, but together...
