This is a review of Frida’s, which doesn’t seem to be on TripAdvisor. The food was dull and flavourless. The nachos were OK, and the guacamole was good but the beef burrito was just mince and rice in a wrap. No spice, no flavour. And the “sour cream” that came with it was the consistency of milk - is it watered down? The chicken burrito was marginally better but the tacos were tasteless as well.

Fridas is my favourite Mexican restaurant in town! My friends and I love the fajitas , taco Tuesday and all the fun Mexican soft drinks and cocktails (SPICY margarita). The staff are kind and helpful and there are lots of gluten free options which are great for me as a coeliac. There are also fun Mexican puddings! Great music! And so cute and cosy! Love the mural!

We were really excited to try out a new local spot - especially a New Mexican restaurant. We stopped by on a warm Friday evening looking forward to sitting outside and sharing a drink and some good food but fell at the first hurdle as we were directed inside to sit towards the back of the restaurant in the half dark corridor. We ordered a frozen margarita and a tomato sauce/beer concoction. Both arrived rapidly but the margarita wasn’t remotely frozen. We ordered two burritos and two sides. Two burritos and one side arrived. It took 5 minutes to flag down a server in a half empty Mexican restaurant to get a side of guacamole. The burritos were painfully average - made up of approximately 85% rice. We found ourselves half way through talking about how much we wished they were Chipotle burritos. Our sever could not have been less engaged with us or our orders. The highlight of the meal was discussing our honeymoon plans. What a shame - this place could clean up if its food was half decent, its frozen margaritas actually frozen and its staff remotely interested in engaging with covers. How disappointing.

What a great little restaurant! Delicious tacos with a refreshing margarita served in just a few minutes. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and it was a relaxing and enjoyable lunch. Reasonably priced, I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Awesome burgers, fast delivery. Highly recommended, will definitely be ordering again. I had the Grand Beef and Skin on Fries, my partner had the same but with added Buffalo Wings. We both loved what we ordered.

I would give this place 2.5 stars. It is a cool and stylish restaurant with an interesting menu but fails to deliver on food quality that is arguably the most important thing. I had a "Dear Venison" (venison patty with bacon, brie, onion and gem) that seemed really good. The problem is that, despite the restaurant is called "Rare Burger" and you may rather expect something undercooked, the patty was the most overcooked burger I have ever had. It was difficult to eat it. It is a pity because the overall taste was fine. Another issue is that, despite being at the restaurant, I received my burger in a box and my sweet potato fries in a bag like they were for takeaway. The result is a big waste of paper for the burger and the fries getting soggy. Such a pity since also the fries were quite good despite that. There are so many good burger joints in London that this can easily be skipped.

Lovely to see this new Kennington venue on a little road that has a lot of potential as a dine-out area. The service was very attentive, perhaps a bit too insistent but in these Covid times any customers are probably going to get 100% attention. The food was really excellent and the chips, we tried sweet potato and potato ones were brilliant. Look forward to trying the shakes - hope they are as good as the burgers, I would like to have the option of a plate rather than eating out of a box - better for the environment and a tad classier when eating a burger is always going to be messy. And the sauces were in small plastic tear out strips - come on let's have some bottles at least. You are not competing with MacDonalds at your prices (£28 for a meal for two)

Really great burger (I had the Django with blue cheese, chorizo and jalapenos, nom) ...the portions of fries are very generous and the service was great. They’re playing great music today too, it was a lovely place to sit on a warm day under their canopy outside.

This place is pretty average in terms of food, atmosphere and service. There are too many hidden charges, even when booking which puts locals like me off. A £35 pp cancellation charge is extortionate for the area - this isn’t exactly a Michelin-starred restaurant, or a small family run place that warrants that kind of cancellation charge. The normal canx change for the area is £10. The extra charge for water and ‘extras’ to make your meal a full meal, reeks of entitled gentrification. There is rather basic atmosphere - it doesn’t feel like a true Brixton venue. Fine if you want an overpriced lunch / brunch with most tables outside and to say you visited a firmer washhouse. Avoid if you want a decent meal and to experience Brixton properly. Won’t be going back.
