I was given vouchers from my sister as a present and was really looking forward to a meal out as it has been difficult since my husband died. Hotel setting and staff were wonderful but our Sunday lunch was very disappointing. The starter and dessert were ok. We all had roast beef which was tough and I had to leave mine as did my daughter as it was difficult to get a knife though let alone chew. The amount of vegetables were a little on the mean side and Yorkshire pudding full of air. I was asked from the waitress if I wanted to see the manager but I choose not to although I would have done this discreetly had I not been with my daughter who suffers with anxiety. Not the greatest of experiences.

we ordered four medium boxes to be delivered at lunch time, the food was fantastic, came quickly, was still nice and hot and there was an awful lot stuffed into those boxes. More than enough

this was a very not conventional hotel. they charged me for things no person working at a hotel or similar facility would ever consider charging a guest for like basic internet connection to the guest network which came at a daily rate of £5 and could only be used on one device and a £50 private landlord style "deposit" (lol) that they charged me for basically nothing that I'm not even sure I will ever get back. In hindsight, a hotel charging its guests a "deposit" like they were a letting agency or a private landlord renting out a studio room or a shared accommodation may not even be legal. Room was nice though other than a curtain covered in heavy mould and the fact that the room was outside of range of the wifi signals of the guest network which due to the £5 daily access fee I didn't use anyway.
