I visited with some friends and we had the Christmas afternoon tea. The whole experience was fantastic with lovely food and teas. Our server was Justin, who went above and beyond to make our visit memorable and was full of good humour! We will definitely visit again

Afternoon tea was delicious. The hotel has been beautifully decorated for Christmas and the staff were welcoming and friendly. Justin is an asset to the restaurant, friendly, professional and informative. Would definitely recommend.

The whole experience at RenMor was amazing. We felt very welcomed, even though it was a little late. All staff were very nice and welcoming. Ricky was out server, and he went above and beyond to help us. From helping us pick the wine (making sure we got the right bottle), so a great dessert suggestion, his help was always much appreciated and his suggestions spot on. The food was magical. We both tried things that we wouldn’t normally, and we were not disappointed. Everything (and I mean everything) was so delicious and well thought out and presented beautifully. The food was like art. Thank you so much to all the team, specially Ricky for an amazing evening!

We attended The Halloween Tea Party with family. We were warmly greeted and shown inside. Ruby was very nice and attentive. The witch was spooktacularly frightful and hilariously funny. Really enjoyed making jokes with her :) Her magical potion made me levitate. We’ll definitely visit again as soon as the magical potion wears off.

We went as a group of 10 for afternoon tea. Everything about the experience was very good from arrival to leaving we were looked after by Ruby who was friendly and efficient. She even coped with all of our excitable group with aplomb. Would definitely recommend and I’m sure we will go again for an occasion.

Fantastic, we all wanted to go to the new restaurant since it had opened and finally went for a birthday. Gorgeous decoration in the new restaurant and the food was amazing. Served by Justin, he did a great job. Thanks to Grant in the kitchen also. So pleased we have such a lovely place in our home town to be proud of

Really enjoyed our dining experience at RenMor for our 1st Wedding Anniversary. We were shown to our table which had stunning views as the sun was setting. We were looked after by Justin, who explained the menu to us and had a great sense of humour as well as dance moves, and made our dining experience memorable. The food was stunning, flavours incredible, couldn’t fault it at all. You can tell that the quality of the locally sustained ingredients is exceptional. All in all a wonderful dining experience, thank you to both Justin and Carly for looking after us so well and big compliments to the chefs for the outstanding food.

Eaten in RenMor for five nights. An excellent experience each night. From the moment we arrived until we left the staff catered for our requests. Starters, mains and puddings were all amazing. Best thing is, go and eat there. Special thanks to Lucy and James at the bar. The chefs were incredible. Leo introduced us to the other chefs. Then Emma and Justin helped us at table and Ryan supervised. Sadly can’t name them all. Staff were exemplary.

We visited RenMor on a Tuesday evening as part of the summer dip and dine package with the Aqua Club facilities. We’ve visited previously in 2023 whilst staying at the hotel but hadn’t eaten a meal here and couldn’t wait to return. Not only is the restaurant fantastically decorated and styled the views are just phenomenal. We were booked for 8:45pm and managed to watch the most stunning sunset across Fistral Beach. We ordered some appetizers after choosing to opt for the sharing steak for our main course. Every item of food was fantastic, when we were told the sharing steak would be a feast that was definitely true. The barbecued cabbage was absolutely amazing as well as the thousand layer fries and of course the T-bone steak cooked to perfection! Our waiter Justin made the night for us, he was so personable but not too in your face he was funny and attentive and just and all around great person, we haven’t experienced service like that for a long time! I would absolutely recommend and we can’t wait to come back.

What an amazing restaurant. The best restaurant we have visited and we have visited a few. I had the cheese soufflé for a starter which was amazing. The rest of our party had scampi fritters,fried chicken and crab tart for starters. The crab tart was fabulous. We were also served complimentary beef croquettes after the starters and they were also excellent. We had the steak for 2/3 persons for the main course which was perfectly cooked and very tasty. The thousand layer chips are out of this world. One of our party had the chicken which she said was excellent. Service was excellent. Very comfortable restaurant with fabulous sea views. We were warmly greeted on arrival at the hotel which was a nice touch. Margarita cocktails were excellent. Will definitely visit again when we visit our family. Highly recommend.

This place has undergone an incredible transformation, now resembling a fine dining establishment akin to those in London, Paris, or New York, complete with breathtaking ocean views. The menu was exceptional, making it difficult for me to choose among the outstanding dishes available. The service provided by MK was impeccable, with attentive care throughout. The highlight was enjoying a perfect sunset at the end of our meal. I recommend securing a window seat to take in the spectacular views, as it truly enhances the experience. Newquay has long awaited a restaurant like this, and The Headland’s RenMor has delivered beyond expectations. We will definitely be returning next time we visit.

Really delicious food in a lovely surroundings with incredible views of Fistral beach and the sea. The staff were professional, friendly and well informed regarding the menu. We had a very enjoyable evening and we will definitely be going again, very highly recommended.

This visit was a gift from our grandchildren. A special High Tea in the beautiful dining room RENMOR. We were superbly looked after by Christian and Justin . Nothing was too much trouble and they were so attentive. We felt very well looked after.

We were staying at the Headland for a Festive Break. The Christmas Eve dinner was stunning. After champagne and canapés we were treated to a ravioli with Parma ham, scallop, a sorbet and then duck followed by rum baba. All beautifully presented and delicious. A set of paired wines was included. Attentive and friendly staff. Excellent.

Visited today for the festive afternoon tea. The entire experience was absolutely fantastic. The service was very attentive and personable, everyone was very friendly and approachable. The restaurant was beautifully decorated and very festive. The afternoon tea was divine! Lovely theming across the sweets - the snowman cookie and Christmas cake were great. The finger sandwiches were lovely and fresh, and the scones were still warm. Would highly recommend visiting for this experience. The takeaway white hot chocolate at the end was a lovely touch as well. Thank you so much.

RenMor restaurant exceeded my expectations in every way. The fallow deer crumpets were a delightful start, with tender venison complemented perfectly by the marsala spice. The skate wing for the main course was cooked to perfection and incredibly delicious. The creme Caramel dessert was just the right balance of sweetness and lightness. Our server, Shubnum, was not only friendly but also attentive and knowledgeable about the menu, providing excellent suggestions. Finley, the manager added to the delightful experience with a warm welcome and a willingness to go above and beyond. The newly refurbished restaurant was impeccably presented, contributing to an overall enjoyable evening. I would easily rate this experience a 10 out of 10.

Arrived about an hour before our booking to have a drink or two in the lounge, spoke to the hostess who told us we needed to order at the bar as no table service. The bar staff didnt know the difference between a french 75 and a french martini. Took the drinks back to the table and told by my partner that waiting staff had offered her a drink which happened twice more later so guess hostess was ill informed. When we got to our table the restaurant was less than half full and remained that way all night and there were plenty of waiting staff on duty. After ordering our food a bowl of olives we didn't order was delivered to our table before being whisked away when the waitress realised her mistake. Our less than attentive waiter failed to notice our glasses were empty for a good ten minutes after we'd emptied them twice and only noticed the second time when we retrieved the bottle from an ice bucket that needed to be reached by standing up. Our desert was delivered to another table before they realised their mistake. When requesting the bill i asked the waiter to call us a cab. He returned a couple of minutes later muttering something about nor being able to get one and handed me a post it note with a couple of cab company telephone numbers and told me to try them! I feel sorry for the kitchen staff as the food was excellent but they are being let down by the front of house staff.

Lovely restaurant, with a great atmosphere and fabulous views. Breakfasts were excellent, so much choice. Dinner was good too.

View is amazing as is the hotel settings. The main courses are filling and worth the money. I can’t say the same for the starters which do taste great but are very small. Overall felt it was a little too pricey for what we got and would eat outside on the terrace if I went again. It was my mothers 80th which I told the restaurant weeks in advance. The waiter knew about it as did the head chef but as the waiter said ‘ he didn’t bother to do anything about it’. Although it didn’t ruin the evening, a bit of an effort could have been made as it wasn’t busy when we went…

The best food experience on Monday evening! Exquisite local Cornish fish, coupled with attentive service and just an all round wonderful evening. Do not hesitate to go to this restaurant situated within The Headland Hotel; you will not be disappointed. Cocktails were pretty spectacular too! We just loved everything.

In short, outstanding service, food and setting. Creative menu. Engaged staff (courteous, positive energy, welcome recommendations by course) both in the restaurant and within the hotel more widely. Our meal: crab bisque/courgette, BBQ plaice/lobster, Black Forest dessert/soufflé. A great sunset experience.

Our family dined in the Renmor restaurant for six evenings, and every experience was absolutely amazing. We sampled most of the dishes on the menu and every dish was superb. From the beginning of the evening with cocktails to the end of the evening with the desserts.,all just perfect. All the staff were amazing too in every corner. The last evening we did treat ourselves to the lobster, which again did not disappoint! It was just perfect, with Fresh ingredients and amazing chefs ! Just beautiful! Big thank you to Finley and Reece for looking after us from the beginning to the end. We’ll definitely be back!!

Firstly, I must caveat this review to point out that it's judged through the lens of the high price not simply the quality of the experience or the food. As such nothing was bad, except perhaps the assumption that dinner guests can't read the menu without the host's pretentious explanation of the various sections. (Hint to hotel... a well written menu doesn't need a two minute explanation). The food was good but not great and in our opinion not of the standard we expected for the price even accounting for the view and the higher price hotel restaurants nearly always take advantage of. My wife had a trout starter that she said was good followed by plaice that was okay. I had the BBQ chicken which was good but nothing special for the price. The thousand layer chips though were excellent and definitely worth a try even if there too few! I had the white chocolate and apricot cheesecake desert... good but again not so great I'd order again. Service? Was good but rather over the top, pretentious for our liking. Theatrical maybe a better or fairer description. All in all, would we eat there again? Probably not unless we were too tired to go out of the hotel.

First night of the newly opened RenMor restaurant at the Headland Hotel. Stunning physical makeover with raised platform in the middle of the restaurant, a new central bar and kitchen on view. Fantastic view out to sea. Menu is inventive with local ingredients. Newlyn crab bisque was delicious as was the Spring vegetable tart for starters. Pollack with razor clams and lamb with asparagus and wild garlic were creative in their execution. Rounded off with an excellent chocolate and orange tart and a banana soufflé served with chocolate sorbet and peanut butter custard. An extensive wine list and a good choice of cocktails. Staff were attentive and friendly. Overall a step up from the Samphire which closed at the end of 2022.

We arrived and were greeted very nicely, shown to the bar for a great couple of recommended cocktails from by Joe. Snacks: Nocellara Olives and the Whipped Chicken Liver Starters: We both had the Newlyn crab bisque. A delightful dish, super creamy, crabs claw and underneath curried cauliflower which gave it a great boost, texture and taste. Not your conventional dish innovative presentation. Mains: My wife’s favourite Garden Pea Ravioli- excellent Barbecued Cornish lamb cooked to perfection Dessert: Rhubarb and Custard sundae Chocolate and orange tart The one list is very good we went with a house Pinot Nior - the wines were sensibly priced. Very thoughtful Menu Layout-how It folded. Clever. Fred the Head Chef came out at the end of service - nice touch! He has a good team , gear food and a brilliant setting. Our server was Justin- very nice guy We are staying in the hotel, we enjoyed it so much, we have rebooked - to try more dishes- for Saturday! Well worth a visit
