Revolution Bar in Cambridge

Definitely wouldn't recommend for bottomless brunches - drinks are watered down, it does nothing to you. Also, it took 20mins for drinks to come every round. They did apologise and gave us an extra 30mins as a result. I'd stick to Cococure and Slug and Lettuce for bottomless - this doesn't come close.

Today after 5pm on Friday, not particularly busy, unfortunately we waited 10 minutes, no one came to us so we could order food and we decided to leave because the waiters were more busy talking to each ,because I was there once, I remember the food was good but now I don't know

Everything was great apart from the toilets let the place down, the toilet it's self was clean, but the toilets as a whole were dirty and messy, if they could just address that, I understand it's mainly students on a night time, but still no excuse

Lovely Christmas menu - I had tomato soup, beef with vegetables and chocolate brownie. Companions had duck liver pate, turkey and fruit roulade. All delicious! Staff were really nice too. It was a nice surprise to find very good food in a venue better known as a night spot.

I'm a gent in his 40's, so I'm probably not the target audience... but: I had a blast! We went in (works do) just before Xmas. Great live music and an absolutely fantastic atmosphere. Staff were v slow, and toilets were appalling, hence the score. But great atmosphere, so still had a giggle.

Christmas party, tables setup in smelly dark dance area, worst food I can remember. Dry what felt at least a day old potatoes, brussle sprouts were hard and tasted a bit fermented. All taste like leftovers scrapped from.other plates.

Our Christmas party was really good. I was a Grinch-like, every year people loved my costum 😀😀 and for sure i was drunk as ..... 🤣🤣🤣🤣

We went here after a gig at the Corn Exchange. It was open til late (we left well after 1am) and we were not ready for bed. Being in our 50’s we were definitely the oldest in the bar. However the atmosphere was really good, watching the youngsters enjoying themselves. Good music too, lots of it was remixes from my youth! Would definitely come back if I was in Cambridge again. Had some good banter with the people in the bar.

What a shame. After emailing directly and receiving no response I will leave this here. Even tho looking at the reviews they clearly ignore the bad ones and only reply to nice ones. Myself and a group of friends visited for my birthday on 12th November for a booking in their karaoke room, admittedly, due to trains we were 5 minutes late. We were met by a blunt “manager” at the bar, who stated he had forgotten about my booking, but was quick to tell us we were late and wouldn’t be getting out money back. Not a great start but fine. Took us up the many flights of stairs to the karaoke room, where we were then told, once up there; if we wanted drinks we had to go back to the ground floor. Because they didn’t have the staff to man the bar which was in the room, because they had forgotten about my booking. So now we’re 10 minutes into the hour karaoke, which cost £50. Myself and a few others went down to get drinks, we ordered 4 pitchers, 1 beer pitcher, and 1 cocktail. £67 with a 25% off voucher, fab. 20 minutes later, drinks are still not finished, so I head upstairs, and another 15 minutes later, my friends come up with the drinks. 1 pitcher of cocktail, 1 beer pitcher, and 3 measly glasses of cocktail, instead of the 3 pitchers of cocktails I had ordered. Looking at the drinks menu, 2 cocktails cost £1 less than a pitcher, so clearly the man behind the bar couldn’t be bothered to make what we had ordered, and did his own thing instead. I might add for the supposed “manager” on shift, for him to be telling customers what an awful place it is to work, and how little he gets paid, not only is completely unprofessional, but clearly is reflected in his customer service skills. And to the other girl on shift who was more focused on throwing ice around the floor with her friends, what a shame. So by time we received the drinks, which were completely wrong. We had 20 minutes left in the room. Considering I had paid £50 and barely got to experience half the time I am shocked at the lack of respect and care these staff members had for paying customers. All that needed to happen was a simple email to myself, stating they were short staffed, and that due to that arriving half an hour / an hour early for our booking so we could all get drinks in ample time, would’ve been fine. We would have made the effort to get there early and still enjoy the full time we had booked for. Obviously we were expecting the bar in the room to be staffed as that is what is advertised and what I had been recommended by word of mouth by other people in the past. I have emailed directly on their feedback sheet they had emailed me after my booking. What a huge disappointment, and a complete downer on the evening. I will await response from revolution to resolve this matter as the lack of professionalism from the staff working that evening is appalling.

I came to this venue last night to celebrate my best friend’s birthday, and it was, without a doubt, the most infuriating, shocking, and downright dreadful experience I’ve ever had. As a cocktail bar manager myself, I couldn’t believe how badly things were handled from start to finish. The very first thing the manager said to us upon arrival was, “oh your the karaoke I forgot about you, You’re 5 minutes late, so we will not be able to add that time back on.” Not only was this rude and dismissive, but it set the tone for what would turn out to be an utterly miserable evening. We were then dragged up five flights of stairs to the karaoke room, which, while nice and decently decorated, was completely overshadowed by the abysmal service. The manager was unreasonably rude, barking orders at us from the moment we arrived. He actually told us that we were not to go behind the bar under any circumstances, and even pointed out that we were on camera, as though we were going to start rifling through the liquor shelves. Look, I get that people in Cambridge can be a bit wild, but he could have used a much nicer tone there was no need for the condescension and hostility. His behavior made it feel like we were being treated like criminals just for being there. It was clear he was stressed and, to make matters worse, understaffed. But the reason for that? He admitted that he had forgotten about our booking, which is why the staff situation was so chaotic. How he could be so disorganized and then take it out on us is beyond me. After we were dragged up those five flights, the manager then informed us that we couldn’t order drinks upstairs and would have to go all the way back down to the bar. A simple heads-up would’ve been nice before the exhausting climb, but no just more frustration piled on top of the mess. 4 of us went downstairs to place our drink order (including the birthday girl), while I stayed upstairs trying to survive the appallingly wailing of my friends absolutely ruining classics. After about 30min I looked over and realised there was only about 20min left on the karaoke and the birthday girl hasn’t been in the room the whole time. So like anyone would I went downstairs to see what was taking so long. To my horror my friends were all stood at the bar waiting. Not a drink in sight. So the boys stayed and waited for the drinks while myself and my friend proceeded back up to the top of the building. The drinks took over 30 minutes to arrive, and by the time they finally came, we were already 45 minutes into the karaoke session. To make matters worse, when the drinks arrived, they were all wrong. We had ordered pitchers, but instead, we got individual cocktails. Not only was this a rip-off (considering the pitchers were only a pound more), but the fact that it took so long for the manager to make them made me seriously question his competence. I was so gutted for my friends absolutely ruining baring in mind she paid £50, £25 per half hour just to miss most of it due to sheer disregard and chaos. ON TOP OF THAT, we noticed another staff member dressed in the I heart vodka uniform awkwardly hovering around the tables near us, as if unsure what to do. She then knelt down on a bench and proceeded to hang out with a group of her friends, who started throwing ice on the floor. This was not only unprofessional, but it was hard to ignore given how poorly everything else was going. It was clear that the staff were far more focused on socializing than actually doing their jobs. As we were walking out we noticed her behind the bar so she was definitely on shift. To top it all off, the birthday girl had a 25% off voucher that we don’t believe was ever applied to our bill. Honestly, at that point, we were so defeated by how poorly everything had been handled that we just finished our drinks and left. We then went to Vinyl, where they actually remembered our booking, treated us with respect, and provided an experience that was EVERYTHING this place failed to be.

Alicia made sure me and my sister had the best time ever At revs bottomless brunch, we were well accommodated and treated like royalty. Definitely coming back for brunch again. Also shout out to the two vegan options they are delicious.

Stopped here for a late lunch. It was a last minute choice, so we were not sure. After coming in for a seat, we knew.it would be a good place to grab a bite. Decor and atmosphere are right with us. It wasn’t crowded at 1:30ish and seating was quick. The host/waiter was great as they were polite with our questions. The entire staff there were great in fact. I got an Old Mout Cider with the Fish and Chips, gravy and fries loaded with cheese and bacon. It came out as expected and was a good meal for me with the cider. My son got a Coke and the new Steak Frites with Garlic Butter (medium rare). As you can see in the photo, it came out perfect and he enjoyed each bit. We got an Apple Pie Pizza before heading out to the Fitzwilliam Museum. It was delish and I would recommend it if you are not sure what you want.

Had a brilliant experience today with the bottomless brunch. Came for a celebratory drink, our waitress, Cat, was amazing. Took our orders quickly and our drinks were served to us very politely and with a smile. She engaged in conversation with us and made us feel very welcome and comfortable. Would definitely come back again, especially if we are served by Cat again!

My friends and I went here on Halloween and the staff were incredibly rude. We found a handbag on the floor so went to the bar to hand it in and the bartender literally threw the bag at the back of my friends head as we walked off. Another member of staff also was quite rude when someone wanted to order a single instead of a double. I understand it was busy but manners are just a basic part of hospitality service. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend to anyone and I would not go back.

Unfortunately it can only be categorised as a very poor experience. The welcome was professional, however it went down hill from there. The drinks took an exceedingly long time to arrive. After 40 minutes or so I asked a waitress where our order was. She did not even have the courtesy to come back to us. I finally went to the bar to cancel the order and pay for the drinks and was told our order was almost ready. It needs to be noted that the restaurant was not at all busy. The most concerning part was that when the order came two of them meals were wrong and included an allergen which we had specifically asked to be excluded from the meal. I asked to speak to the manager to discuss all the problems.

Normalmente no vamos a una Revolución pero cuando estamos cerca de nuestro hotel decidimos pasar por , Ambiente agradable, Fuimos bien atendidos por MAHA Que nos habló sobre el Amstel que se ofrece, Ella también nos sirvió Veuve Clicquot Champagne de mi esposa para su cumpleaños, Esto puede sonar experiencia para algunos pero £ 65 Es excelente valor , Otra vez MAHA Excelente ella es un crédito a su empresa, Espero que le muestre esta crítica y darle la Encomio que se merece.

El concurso El Señor de los Anillos fue genial. Pero encontré a la mayoría del personal (además de un servidor y que creo que era el líder del turno) bastante destacado e indiferente. Solo se puede pedir en la aplicación también, o al menos así era cuando estuve allí. Lo cual estaría bien, excepto que pidas una bebida y luego pases quince minutos viéndola en el bar. En un momento me entregaron la bebida equivocada. Que era un Amaretto que debería haber sido un JD (sé que en realidad no tiene frutos secos solo aromatizantes, PERO si el personal es tan descuidado, tal confusión podría convertirse muy fácilmente en un problema serio de alérgenos) ; cuando fui al bar a sacar el tema y hacer que se rectificara, fui muy educado (aunque debido a mi alergia incluso el sabor por sí solo tiene una asociación negativa conmigo, no peligrosa, pero ligeramente enferma) y la joven que se ocupó de ello fue muy indiferente y de nuevo extremadamente destacada, en realidad bastante grosera. Fue un buen evento, y una buena vibra en el aire, pero me pareció que casi todos (además de los dos que mencioné) desde el personal del bar hasta el personal del piso e incluso los porteros eran extremadamente desagradables. Es una pena pensar que este tipo de eventos con tanta atracción y audiencia (que de otra manera deberían ser noches muy agradables) pueden verse empañados por personal que no parece importarte y que activamente te hace sentir incómodo.

Went for a night out on Saturday 19th. Had an incredible time, my friend became extremely drunk, we went to the roof top bar that was quite packed and stood at the bar, I was after some water for my friend. There was two bartenders. One of the bartenders who was 5’9, light brown/blonde long hair allowed someone else to push infront of me and then refused to serve after I made it known that I was next to be served. He was out right rude and it was completely unexpected and disrespectful. I then decided that we should may our way the club for some fresh air and on the way down a member of staff stopped us and asked if we were both okay to which I explained what had happened. He told us to stay where we were and got in the water I was after. They staff then help me escort her out the club beating in mind my friend is physically disabled and drunk. Whilst outside the club we were checked on by staff and door staff who were offering us their upmost. I wholeheartedly appreciate everyone that supported us that night but perhaps the other member of staff needs retraining!!’

I had an incredibly disappointing experience at Revolution Restaurant in Cambridge. The tables were dirty and sticky, and the burger I ordered was extremely overcooked. Also, the burger had a strange smell to the meat, which made it hard to even take a bite. The service was equally bad – the waiters seemed inexperienced and slow, hectic and confused. The manager, I guess, a confused lady, didn't seem to know how to manage the business and the situation either. Overall, I would not recommend dining here, especially if you're expecting good food and service. You enter an empty stomach and full wallet, and you exit with an empty wallet and an empty stomach.

stylish typical britsh pub/bar, bright and spacious, staff seemed friendly and willing to help, wasn't too busy, and the service was more than decent, I didn't get any food, but from what I could see, the wings looked nice,and the drinks were cold and refreshing and not lacking in alcohol 🫠.

Went for afternoon tea. Didn't know what to expect as was a voucher present. Have to say what a lovely vibe and unusual tea consisting of bacon and cheese hash browns, mini cheese burger in brioche bun, cheese ball in breadcrumbs and a chicken goujon, followed by strawberry waffle with ice cream, mini tiramisu and brownie, with a Bailey's shot plus a pot of tea each,😋 stuffed! A special shout out to Alicia who was so lovely and friendly, chatty and happy to spend time to explain it all and even gave us a free shot as it was my wife's birthday. Couldn't fault it. Well done all concerned!

El menú en Revs para cócteles es bastante bueno y tiene muchas opciones, sin embargo, hay muy pocas opciones de cócteles. Le pregunté si podía tomar un cóctel de Pina Colada (ya que tenían Pina Colada en el menú principal), pero se negaron a menos que pagara el precio completo, que no es el más hospitalario. Cuando mis amigos trataron de pedir otros cócteles, nos dijeron que no había jugo de naranja ni jugo de arándano, por lo que la mitad de ellos no se pudo hacer. Para un sábado por la noche esto es muy pobre, ya que estas son partes clave de algunas de sus bebidas. Los precios son bastante altos aquí y el personal no es el más amable.

It's a very nice nightclub, people are all very kind and friendly having fun with each other. Bar staff were very good. The DJ friend was exciting people with great music. I was very pleased. Thank you to everyone who works here.

Hosted my Girlfriends 18th Birthday, absolutely fantastic service and excellent personality from all staff. Daniel took expert care of us allowing us to have birthday shots on the house and his witty banter kept us going. The food was also excellent and should not go without mention. Thank you to all staff, we will definitely be back next year!

Simply, bottomless brunch was not bottomless when the first beer takes 47min to arrive. Cold food. Replaced fast enough but took 10min to get one of the staffs attention as they were spred so thin.

Multiple level restaurant, with popular music playing in the background. Clean with welcoming staff. Decent food, although portions are not as large as I would expect in this type of venue. Unfortunately one item was missed off our order (despite it being repeated correctly back to us at the table) and by the time it finally arrived we had practically finished our main courses.

Great BBQ meaty pizza. Wonderful offer @ £5.00 just now. It's a particularly authentic dough, and the BBQ meat topping works well. They've also extended their Happy Hour, so I was able to enjoy a pint of cider @ £3.50.... minus a little spill by the waitress. Overall a nice treat, affordable. Could do with slightly less loud music.

Would like to give a shout out to Daniel, super friendly and charismatic. We was on the bottomless brunch offer and he made sure we got our moneys worth, kept on top of timings and topped our drinks up continuously. Would recommend heading up to the terrace bar (he was here when we visited) and ordering up there - they are sometime shut due to seasons and weather but when we visited he didn’t hesitate to seat us up there. Definitely 5* review worthy!!!!

The Tables were filthy so we couldn't even put our elbows on them. The staff were completely disinterested and had no manners whatsoever. To cap it off, the drinks we ordered tasted dreadful. Never again.

Worst service ever, took them an hour to serve the table water after repeatedly asking more than 4 times. And when it finally came, the waitress just slammed the water and glasses on the table and left. We had to fetch our own water afterwards. It’s basically a cafe, not a restaurant.
