Felicitaciones a tu brillante equipo. El servicio fue absolutamente impecable también! ¡Bien hecho!

This is a wonderful building befitting the Royal Institute of British Architects. The restaurant is a large high ceilinged, light and airy room. Simple menu and good food. Sadly at lunchtime the place was empty so lacking any atmosphere or ambiance.

This brilliant restaurant on the first floor of the RIBA(Royal Institute of British Architects) building just a five minute stroll from Oxford Circus,is a little known gem in central London that's open to the public. The building itself is worth the visit in itself, however the "bistro" is just perfect for a delicious lunch.Just check out their menu on their website. The fare is modern, beautifully presented, and reasonably priced.I can't praise this place highly enough, but keep it quiet as we don't want it too popular do we?

Just saw the cafe as I arrived early for a meeting. Excellent value for great fresh food. Black pudding sausage roll had the lightest pastry and the accompanying butternut squash salad was delicious. Would definitely come again.

This has been a pleasant place for a sandwich or cup of coffee for many years. Lunch today was an excellent chicken wrap and salad, followed by fruit flap jack. Nothing out of a packet, not expensive, quiet and comfortable. A nice place to go, so long as you are not expecting a Bistro!

Beautiful art deco building. The Bistro is small, but very comfortable. Food was good as was the service.

More the building than the bistro. Full of amazing architecture in a stunning setting. Free to the public, and the Bistro is great. Worth a visit, particularly if you're in to architecture.

On our way to the building next door, the Beeb, we ventured into RIBA and after a quick tour of the exhibition had a delicious and inexpensive light lunch.

Worth a visit for the wonderful art deco building alone, but the food here is pretty good too. Relaxed cafe style environment is also good for business lunches as the tables are well spaced so conversation is easy

The exhibitions are often interesting in this large building of architectural interest itself. But the ground floor book shop is extensive.

Very nice location, splendid building and pleasant dining room. Staff is very polite, efficient and helpful. The food is very tasty but make sure you are not too hungry. The portions are ridiculously small...

We were a large party of 60 or so that ate in the large hall at the top of the stairs. We passed some frankly awful designs of buildings but that didn't put me off my food. We started with a seafood ravioli, followed by a slow cooked beef and a brown sugar pavlova to finish. The red and white wines were a lovely accompaniment and the service for such a large party was swift and efficient. No idea what they charge but the chef works a great kitchen and the staff put many a restaurant to shame.

i used to love this place . Phoned up for a table . Arrived to find the main dining room was being used for an event and they had moved the restaurant into a side room . That in itself was not an issue but why employ people who DO NOT speak English leave u sitting whilst The restaurant is nearly empty and then give you a small Menue and say no that's not on today for several items . For the first time ever we walked out :(

Great quiet location for lunch. I am told that in the summer months the terrace restaurant is a fabulous hidden garden to enjoy right in the centre of London. Will return.

There is an upstairs restaurant and a downstairs coffee shop. The downstairs coffee shop is really good value, and you can sit comfortably with your laptop and coffee etc. just one word of warning it's case only. No credit cards.Upstairs is much more stylish, sitting in the splendid deco building, and is more expensive with waiter service, wine and elegant food on slates. It's slightly pricy but very stylish. The food is more light lunch so if you want a more substantial meal try elsewhere...and you can't book. They have changed the format from a formal restaurant to a more laid back arrangement. It's a great space. And you can look at whatever exhibition is on at the time. An added bonus.

Sometimes it takes a mistake to reveal something unexpected. I had arranged to meet a friend at the downstairs RIBA Bar/coffee shop at 10.00 am; he had arrived early and discovered that the upstairs cafe and restaurant opened at 8.00 for coffee and light breakfasts. After a morning of research in the Library we decided to try the restaurant for lunch. It was an extremely pleasant surprise. In the Art Deco inspired Florence Hall, the restaurant is an elegant, peaceful dining space with stunning architectural details and bathed in light from soaring windows. It has an inside out feeling and indeed there is an outdoor terrace for the summer months. It’s worth going for a cup of coffee for just the architectural pleasure alone. In the restaurant you can dine a la carte or from the set menu – we chose the latter, two courses for £19.50, fine ingredients, well cooked and beautifully presented. Excellent.Opening hours are reliable, but the restaurants can be booked for private functions, so it’s best to check in advance. There is evening dining only on Tuesdays and no Saturday opening. A great early morning coffee stop and lovely lunches - the RIBA Restaurant must be one of London’s best kept dining secrets.

So worth a visit for lunch, coffees and delicious snacks. The food is modern and imaginative, served and presented in an appropriately artistic way - wild mushrooms with truffle jus on a black slate board, for instance. There is even an open-air roof terrace for those rare summer days, well away from the traffic-choked pavement dining commonly found in London. An excellent wine list accompanies a changing daily menu, which is focused on the best of new British cooking. Free exhibitions open to the public, a great bookshop with small cafe on the ground floor (the restaurant is on the first floor), and as expected brilliant design throughout the deco building. A warm welcome from restaurant manager Christina, and efficient, smiley service made for a great atmosphere. Worth checking evening opening times as sometimes the venue is booked for private functions.

Though it's just a stone's throw from the BBC at 66 Portland Place, not many people would think that the splendid Art Deco building that houses the Royal Institute of British Architects hides a really good restaurant that is open to the public. I only found it because my dentist is nearby and the staff recommended it! While there is also a cafe and a bar, my son and I chose the restaurant on the first floor in the Florence Hall where we enjoyed an excellent lunch at reasonable prices. The chef is David Cavalier whose name sounds French and the style of the cooking is definitely from just the other side of the channel. I started with wild rabbit served three ways and my son had pigeon. For our main courses he had braised pork belly and I enjoyed pan fried sea trout on a bed of wilted spinach with a delicious saffron infused sauce. Only I was greedy enough to have a pudding, salted caramel pannacotta with a square of bread and butter pudding and a roasted fig. With a beer each, I paid £54 and felt that we had had good value for money. This is a relaxed place that is nicely busy without being crowded with the interesting architecture and decor being an added bonus. What's more, to my surprise, I found that the restaurant is also open in the evenings up to 9:00 pm.Well worth a visit!

I went there for dinner last week, and I must say that I was very impressed by the overall experience. Starting with the service provided which was the exceptional, to the expertise of the Sommelier Giulia, the food was absolutely outstanding, the quality of the products were superb and the flavours were amazing. I would definitely go back to eat that superb Duck again!!!

¡Refrescantemente perfecto!
