Ristorante Olivelli in Lambeth

Beautiful food! We had a mixture of pastas and they were stunning. Lovely food and great service. Will definitely be back!

Abbiamo preso una pasta allo scoglio e dei ravioli ricotta e spinaci, ma entrambi molto lontani dal cibo italiano, tutto molto pasticciato e condito. Non lo consiglierei.

We all ordered different - I had the seafood spaghetti, my friend had another prawn / pesto dish and my daughter had the carbonara. My meal was as ordered as I requested extra chilli and I must say was perfect and very nice. My friends meal was served with RAW cold uncooked prawns which we addressed and they were very apologetic and said they would change straight away. After waiting over 20 mins for the new dish the experience was not ideal. As my daughter said she was too afraid to eat hers also as she seen the raw prawns and recalls being poorly from food in the past. When the replacement dish was reserved some prawns were much better cooked but there were some still uncooked - again we showed these to be told they maybe different prawns and very sorry again could they get her something else. We said no thank you but I’d love a tiramisu desert menus. (This was never delivered) so we just gave up and asked for the bill. They agreed not to charge for the food only drinks - disguised they applied a service charge 10% which was removed upon request. When going to pay the chef was expressing how keen he was to leave hurry and clean to other staff - I wonder if this contributed to the rushed uncooked prawns !!! SHAME

A big thank you to all the staff at Olivelli Waterloo for a wonderful Christmas work team lunch. Organising, and catering for, 25 people is never an easy task but the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful from the point of booking until the moment we left. We had a big selection of different dishes between us and everybody really enjoyed their food, which was generously portioned and reasonably priced. Lots of brownie points for me at work as the organiser - so thank you Olivelli team! Would definitely recommend.

Very much our place to go when visiting London for a show or other experience. Friendly staff and excellent choice and quality of Italian food. Despite being busy, the service was excellent, as always

Have been to this restaurant over many years, last night was very disappointing. How can an Italian restaurant get pasta wrong?

Really great late dinner after a long day and plenty of travel. The team made me feel at home and the Rissotto was excellent. Have been before and will be back again. Do not normally write reviews, but the team hear deserves some praise. Definitely recommend.

Los platos principales estaban bien, todos teníamos un plato de pasta, estaban sabrosos pero bastante secos. Sin embargo, creo que esa podría ser una tendencia siciliana, como he notado antes. Las papas fritas courgetti estaban claramente congeladas, ya que todavía estaban muy frías en el interior y tuvieron que ser devueltas. Cuando pedí que mis raviolis tuvieran un poco de salsa de tomate, ya que simplemente tenía un poco de verdura y lo que fuera que se hubiera cocinado, se lo quitaron y lo devolvieron después de ser cocinado en microondas y tuve que pedir la salsa de nuevo, vino en un plato aparte. Los pudines eran deliciosos y el personal era muy servicial en sus respuestas. No estoy seguro de lo que estaba pasando en la cocina. No creas que volveremos el mes que viene cuando estemos en la zona de nuevo.

Excellente cuisine italienne, je le recommande à 100%, ils font les meilleures pizzas que j'ai mangées à ce jour, personnel très accueillant, vraiment je vous le conseille

Fabulosa comida y servicio. El pez espada era maravilloso, tan lleno de sabor. Gran ambiente en este encantador restaurante. El personal es excepcional.

Abbiamo ordinato la pizza ed i dolci. La pizza è buona considerando che si tratta di Londra....buono l'impasto così come gli ingredienti. Tortino al cioccolato davvero ottimo. Servizio rapido e cortese. La ragazza che ci ha servito è italiana ...non so il suo nome ma è stata davvero bravissima e preziosa!! Consigliato!!!

Fabulous food and service . Crab linguine wonderful , great portions , we took home what we could not eat it was too good to leave .

The best Italian food we've had in years. Service was great, they paid careful attention to my daughter's food allergies, apps and main were fantastic and desert was even better. A must stop for anyone in the area.

This was a great little spot just near the Old Vic theatre. Flavoursome food, great staff, a good time had by all. Definitely be back!!

Siamo andati per caso in questo ristorante a fine luglio, cibo italiano ottimo, camerieri simpatici e gentili, servizio impeccabile! Pasta alla carbonara molto buona e anche la pizza non è da meno! Siamo rimasti talmente colpiti che abbiamo cenato lì per 2 sere consecutive! Complimenti!

I was in London for a business trip and Ristorante Olivelli happened to be near the hotel I was staying. The food and service was excellent. I try to visit different restaurants while abroad but the food was so good I had to go there twice. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for authentic Italian cuisine.

Had a meal with my Son ahead of a football match at Wembley, staff were friendly and attentive, the food was spot on and good value for money, extremely convenient as it’s located within a stones throw of Waterloo station.

Great restaurant. Got there early evening without a reservation. No problem in finding us a table. The restaurant soon filled up and had we been later it wouldn’t have been so easy to get a table. This is a popular restaurant and it’s easy to see why. The food was good and the service was excellent. Thank you Zoltan. My husband loves tiramisu and he rated this one of the best he’s ever had. We will definitely return.

Abbiamo mangiato molto bene in questo ristorante italiano vicino alla fermata della metropolitana di Southwark ( Jubilee line). Inizio con una buona bruschetta, poi una carbonara deliziosa e tortelli molto gustosi. Locale carino, piatti in ceramica dipinti ( dalla Sicilia ), personale simpatico. Servizio rapido, consiglio comunque di prenotare. Ci siamo ritornati prima di partire.

We'd booked a table ahead of a trip to the Old Vic theatre, and were coming from the other side of London. A problem with the tube meant that we were stranded and were going to be *very* late, so we phoned Olivelli and they were completely understanding. When we finally arrived, more than 35min late and only 45min before the play was due to start, the restaurant was absolutely packed, with just our table for two still free. The manager read our minds, and assured us that we'd be able to have a full meal and still get out in time - he prioritised our orders and turned a stressful moment into a relaxing meal! Not only was the service absolutely outstanding, the food was great, I had the bruschetta and a spicy Campagnola pizza. Will definitely be back next time we're in the area.

We happened upon this wonderful restaurant by chance. Plenty of vegan options. I had a vegan pepperoni pizza that was amazing. Lovely staff and atmosphere.

We dined here on an August evening. We had pizza and a bottle of wine. We ended up paying a little under 80£. Staff was friendly and quick. Pizzas were well made and as they should be. Serving sizes are generous. Prices are a little high, but certainly not outrageous for London.

Locale molto carino, personale gentile e disponibile, pulito. Abbiamo mangiato un' ottima pizza, finalmente verace. Buonissimi anche i dolci e buona scelta di vini. Sicuramente vale una cena.

We went for an early dinner after a theatre trip. We hadn’t booked but was given a table which we had to vacate within 1hr 30mins. The food was delicious and the staff friendly and attentive. It’s definitely worth another visit but I would book so I could enjoy the whole atmosphere at a leisurely pace.

Great Italian restaurant for business lunch, families or any time. Food is excellent and reasonably priced. Service is fast and efficient. One of the best bruschetta’s in London. Good wine list and choice of beers. Staff are on hand but don’t pester you. Lunch prefix menu with drinks was under £50 inc service charge.

Avevamo voglia di cibi italiano e ci siamo fermati per una cena: ottima pasta apprezzata anche da nostro figlio di 8 anni (ha scelto un primo in cui, su nostra richiesta, han tolto degli ingredienti che avevano aggiunto a un piatto base di pasta al pesto). Disponibilità del personale di sala e prezzi allineati ai ristoranti di zona. Da consigliare per chi stanco di hamburger vuole qualcosa di tradizione italiana

Booked restaurant as it was near a venue we where booked to attend later. On being seated we had to then ask 10 mins later for the menu. Once our drinks order was taken we had to then again try to get the attention of staff to order our food. Ordered two fish dishes which came very quickly and were mediocre at best. Once again we had to try and get the attention of staff to clear plates and order dessert. We received the bill after again trying to get the attention of staff but had to put on coats and go to the till to pay. We paid the bill minus the service charge with no comment made by what I believe to be the manager,

We were looking to get a table here on a very busy Wednesday evening. It is a very bust restaurant that has a nice buzz to it.The service was efficient and friendly and the food was excellent. The hor d'oerves starter was excellent and I had a lamb stew for mains which was wonderful. This is definitely a place that we will return to

Best pasta and tiramisu ever had . Very nice Italian restaurant and believe me they have a best pasta and Tiramisu. You need. To give a try they are really nice and fantastic.

I went to Ristorante Olivelli’s for lunch in Mayfair and honestly it was fantastic! The restaurant setting was so lovely and the staff were just so kind. The waiter had always came to ask if everything was okay with our food and was just so lovely. Also I can see why it was so busy, it’s just a brilliant restaurant that I had to recommend it on my Instagram food blog (londonfoodieofficial) if anyone wants to follow. I’d just go back there any day, it’s 5 star for me all round 😁

My son booked Olivelli’s for a meal with family and friends for his 30th birthday prior to joining up with more friends at a nearby rooftop bar. From start to finish the staff were extremely attentive and although we were a large group of 18, all our orders were taken quickly and efficiently. Our food arrived in good time and I can honestly say it was one of the nicest Italian meals I have ever had. All of us thoroughly enjoyed the food and the ambience of Olivelli’s together with attentive and professional staff at all times - even though with 18 of us, it did get quite noisy, but the staff took it all in their stride! A fabulous little find and one that I shall definitely be returning to in the future, thank you Olivelli’s

My partner and I were out for a walk. And we were intrigued by the Italianness of the restaurant. Being very busy, we returned later. Unfortunately we were disappointed. We ordered pumpkin flowers and chips. The zucchini flowers were really full of frying oil and the fries were nothing special. As for the first course, pasta, there was nothing Italian about it. The sauce was sour, the pasta tough and the meat had no taste, as well as no salt. The manager asked us how it went, and being disappointed, offered us a dessert for one. And he was very kind to us. The Ristorante Olivelli has an ace in the hole being very close to the Old Vic theatre. The space is very limited. When we entered, there was an unfortunate American so close to the door, his back was almost hit every time it was opened....

We have visited the restaurant on a few occasions over the years. It's in a quiet backwater off Oxford Street. No traffic just humanity milling about. Situated next door to chain restaurant it occupies small premises which spill out onto the pavement in good weather....

We had a vegetarian starter platter and several main dishes as well as several deserts. Everything tasted fantastic!!! If you want to taste authentic Italian/Sicilian food I would definitely recommend to go there.
