In totality the rock garden is very clean and hosts a friendly atmosphere. I must also say that the kitchen staff are phenomenal especially the young man wearing the bandana he left me full and satisfied.

We were served by Harry and he was absolutely brilliant, legend. Really friendly and welcoming. We ordered food (greedy pig and veggie fajitas) which was super tasty (them wedges 😋) there is a decent veggie/ vegan menu as well. Hats off to the chef Aureil!

Always a good place to go fro drinks and a it of live music, the only downfall is if it's not busy the music is ever so loud, and you are unable to talk without shouting.

Very cold in here yesterday we complained twice how cold it was to be told it takes a while to warm up when we touched radiator wasn't even on, food came out jacket potato hot but chilli luke warm

Great chilled out Venu.Good choice of food and drinks .Nice staff. Gets were busy but there were plenty of indoor and outdoor seating .Out door seating has over head cover and heaters so great for all year round .When we went we were told it was a 45 minute wait for food but really didn't take that long.Well decorated with a couple of areas you can get a great selfie. They do have live music there as well.

Updating this, went today and had the new chicken and chorizo ciabatta, was awful. They have diced chorizo in it. My friend also had a tuna ciabatta the fries were stale and ridiculously salty and the tuna was cold in a warm ciabatta??? Defiantly wouldn’t ever come back now. Vile food.

Harry served us quite possibly the best mojitos and espresso martinis! Excellent service, very chatty and informative. We'll be back.

We arrive and the staff seemed friendly enough but we ordered a make your own pizza and it took nearly an hour to get to the table, it wasn't a busy afternoon so obviously some sort of mistake was made but no apology given. We asked for caramelised onions on the pizza and what we got we excessive amounts of red onion chutney, very unpleasant on a pizza. Probably won't go again.

On a Christmas night out for work. Quality. Food was fresh, hot and quality. An excellent buffet with pizza, fries, roast potatoes, nachos, cheese sticks, pigs in blankets etc. Amazing value for money. Staff couldn’t have been more attentive and kept checking on us to make sure everything was good Absolutely,100%, will return and probably arrange another works night here. Thanks for the best Christmas works venue we’ve ever used.

Harry was sooo welcoming really enjoyed night

The chips and wedges were "old" and not fresh. It seemed they were reheated ! Wedges were extremely salty and hard! Had ordered 2 Vegetarian pizza (not vegan). Both were vegan, although the app indicated that they were veg when selected.

Second time we have been in the last couple of months, 1st time we sat for an hour after ordering food and after going to the bar to find out when it would be coming to be told they hadn't put the order through! Went back today to give them another chance and they were just as bad! Sent the wrong food and overcharged us. Unfortunately won't be coming back again

Id seriously recommend people no longer go here standards are abysmal, theyve unfortunately dropped severely, went in there few weeks ago and they didn't put the order through waited at the table over an hour before leaving refunded but certainly not happy, gave them one last chance and they overcharged us and gave us the wrong food even heard the chef ask the bar staff 'have they noticed' of course we did were not idiots ordered 'billy burger' which is a burger with goats cheese and caramelised onion only to be brought a regular cheese and bacon burger with normal onions with some scrapping of goat cheese clearly think we stupid, I ate with my partner who got his order correct so I didn't want to bother complaining because I won't be back now but I want to warn others of ever going there

it took over 2 hours for our food to arrive. had to request multiple updates from them via the app and when I tried calling direct noone would answer the phone. when the food did arrive the pizza was burnt and whilst the burger was nice the portion of fries were appallingly small and none of the other items advertised eith the dish were supplied I.e coleslaw and salad. when I had paid £17.50 for the burger alone it was appalling service! esp when I had waited so long for it.

1st visit. Impressed. Beer good and ideal if you like a cocktail. Nice beer garden.

Popped in as a family of four for some food on Halloween evening whilst staying in Torquay for the night. Food was delicious and great value. Staff were very friendly and welcoming, we even ended up staying to join in the pub quiz and bingo. Recommended and garden looks great for summer dining

Healthy salads available. We had the salmon salad, chicken salad and wedges. Generous portions too. Wine reasonably priced. Nice setting. Lovely staff. Kiefer (bar man/waiter) was smily, friendly. Good chef too. Don't usually like to eat in chains but thought this one had many choices.

Have been before and really enjoyed it. Had the bottomless brunch last time. I wouldn't say it's great value as we just about broke even with it, and the food on the menu is limited.

Gorgeous Vegan meal with hubby celebrating 40 years of marriage, before Theatre. Great staff, Jamie, Savannah & compliments to the chef. Perfect.

Gave this ago as the reviews were okay for pizza, a little bit of a let down, one pizza Luke warm, and the other a little tasteless, but still okay, service very good, will be back for drinks and the quiz, but not food

We did a cocktail making class and had food at the Rock Garden Cafe Bar. Both the food and atmosphere was amazing. A massive thank you to Harry and Finn for the cocktail class. Both were fantastic and we had lots of fun.

Harry one of the managers was so interactive with customers... Great to see., he has a unique style.. on the phone when we booked & in person Food was amazing standard was good despite being a very busy night in the kitchen Came down to watch the country & western band OH DE LALLYS!!!

Ordered for delivery at 14:35 only turned up at 15:30! And is stone cold on delivery, not edible at all!

We visited Rock Garden on the last night of our holiday, after being impressed by the great reviews on TripAdvisor and our initial visit earlier in the week. This place did not disappoint! The 2-for-1 cocktails, which run all week, were absolutely fantastic—well mixed, beautifully presented, and delicious. For dinner, we ordered a steak, and it was one of the best we’ve had dining out. Cooked perfectly medium rare, well seasoned, and served as a thick cut, it came with two grilled tomatoes, a portion of mushrooms, coleslaw, a dressed salad, and fries. Paired with a lovely bottle of Malbec, the meal was outstanding. The atmosphere was great too—we sat on the top level overlooking the bar, where a lively hen party were also having a great time. Our waitress was friendly and checked in on us during the meal; we even sent compliments to the chef for the wonderful steak. Overall, Rock Garden is a little gem of a place in Torquay. We had an amazing experience and will definitely be back the next time we visit. Highly recommend!

Really nice atmosphere on a weekend, but during the week it's very quiet. The garden is nice with heat lamps on every table which is a great addition

Just had the Philly steak ciabatta which was amazing steak soft and juicy. Hubby has the wings and ribs he enjoyed as the meat fell off the bone. So a big Thankyou to Eli and Auriel in the kitchen and the service from Jamie and Owen was excellent and friendly. Thanks guys

Love this place. We always make we come here when we visit Torquay. Found down behind fleet walk shopping centre. The food is great, plenty of choice and also carers for gluten free. A great place for food, drinks and live music and their garden space is fantastic. Staff are brilliant. Would recommend to anyone

Went for lunch today lucky enough the weather improved to be able to sit in garden. Have to say the front of house staff Jamie & Harry did above and beyond their job they were 5 star+. The food was really good, so a well done to Eli & Amy behind scenes all of these people deserve a very big well done, thanks guys.

Ideal place to go for an excellent cocktail. The staff are very polite and friendly (Jamie and Courtney served us) would 100% recommend with a good variety of food options on the menu.

Swift service. Kind helpful staff. Really enjoyed the food.

Overall not bad. The food quality and quantity is surprisingly good (especially the wedges, ribs and wings). The outside garden is nicely done up and I love the live music they offer. The only downside is the service which is pretty awful. Mostly young, disinterested staff who have not been trained properly in customer service. If this was to change, it might become one of the better places in torquay to visit.

Absolutely nothing wrong with the atmosphere but with only us and one other table taken inside, it was hard to judge.... the food was incredible, for a great price and the staff very friendly and welcoming. I'm in no doubt that the place is bustling with good vibes at peak times, we just went on a windy Wednesday afternoon for early tea before a long drive home.... We ordered pizza, steak and a burger, all exceeded expectations and were delicious. The place is immaculate, we loved everything about it.... wouldn't hesitate to go again and messaged friends to try it before we'd even left knowing they're in the same area next week! A great find...

Special mention goes to the staff. Attentive, jazzy, supportive! Made food just after service hours so could say no but served. Cocktails and pizza really good especially when cocktails are 2 for 1, they were rich in flavour. Pizza nice and crusty felt good ingredients. Thank you guys for taking care of us. 4.star atmosphere as it was too loud with live music and no guidance on where to get cutlery from or napkins

We went at 7pm on a Wednesday evening. It was pretty quiet but we weren’t sure why! It is a brilliant cafe bar with a great menu and all at a decent price. Service was ok, but could tell waiters were a little stressed as they were preparing for a party. The outside beer garden is gorgeous - large and nicely decorated. The food was excellent, no complaints. The burger was well cooked with a juicy inside and crispy exterior. The pizza was handmade in their pizza oven & was fantastic.

Came In with my wife to get some food Got served from someone who served skills was not great and got our order wrong. The wife got the vegan nachos but asked for sour cream and forgot to bring it and asked for the sausage pizza after asked about the balti curry and what came with it and told a while to get the info (it was chicken with rice) and did asked for hallomi fries but after a few minutes said it was sold out. The pizza came and the nachos but there forgot to bring the sour cream despite asked for it and the guy with black hair and white trainers said it will be sorted. Also the pizza was burned and the hotdog sausage looked like it came out of a tin and was sliced. Not great but the wife was happy with the taste of the nachos with five bean chilli but felt it was a joke and won’t be back again

Ordered 3 starters and 3 mains! All came out together. Was told I should have pressed the button if I wanted separate, re looked on website and no button but was notes to chef if wanted separate. Didn’t see that but wouldn’t have taken 1 min to pop and see us and enquire if the order was correct. Waitress was like reading off a script with no solution. I had to recommend to put under the heat lamps as would have been cold . In the end our food was re made so they say 🤷‍♂️

First visit, food and drinks reasonably priced, only down side seated in the garden and was deposited by a seagull, so forced to leave early. Would not recommend sitting outside unless under cover.

Visited once (Tuesday), nice place but bad meal: chicken and bread was burnt black, chips were cardboard. No sweeping of table or even collecting used glasses from previous guests, despite being quiet.

The service from the girls behind the bar was great. Ben, the food runner, polite on the ball and efficient, The BEST and hats of to the CHEFS was the food, only a burger but by far best burger in torquay hands down messy to eat but the flavour packs a punch, do not have the fries, have the potato wedges they are proper ones not pre made in the bag.

5 ☆ as always, food was so fresh and tasty, highly recommend the steak chiabata and wedges that are beyond the best thing on the menu the staff are all happy and friendly.

All food cold , didn’t receive the nachos , pizza looked like it had been chucked around.

Had a nice meal there. Great you can scan QR code to order as bar was quite busy. Staff are friendly. We sat in one of the seats above the bar and there is a light that constantly comes on and off which we think was a signal to staff that food was ready in the kitchen, but this did get quite annoying after a while. I imagine the atmosphere is pretty decent when there is a live band playing too!

Good looking venue, food took forever to come out and at the time I think there was only 5 other people besides us, i can only assume the food took so long as it had to be burnt to perfection 👌, and to top it off they served food without the onion rings it was supposed to come with, and didn't even mention this to us, when queried said they had run out ... why not tell us or offer an alternative??? . Even had to get them to change a diet coke as the mix had almost no syrup in it and was horrible, let's just say won't be wasting any more money there , very disappointed

The guy that served us was friendly, but food wasn’t good. Chips & onion rings were very overcooked & cold. Garlic bread was hard & not melted. Wasn’t checked on either, disappointed overall.

Wow!!! Great overall experience with the family Amazing food! I had the 3 little pigs pizza, and watched it from a far being cooked in the pizza oven. The atmosphere was great. Plus the beer garden was huge, so I would definitely recommend being out there in the summer. The restaurant staff, Luca and Fin, were very attentive and extremely polite and helped in situations that we weren’t sure of. Massive recommendation!!!
