Rodmill in Eastbourne

Same as most pubs but we did find the stuff very patient and very accomplished in dealing with regulars and new people and gave great service with and happy face and smile. Which is unlike so many places these days. Will defo be back

We visit here regularly as we live locally. Very professional staff. Lisa in particular. Adelle wonderful as well as the rest of the staff. We love it here. Great atmosphere, excellent service and good food. Always friendly and welcoming.

After visiting my dad in the hospital and not getting some great news, me and my husband decided we needed a drink and drove to the rodmill for a quick pint to discuss the options. The staff were lovely and friendly atmosphere. But then getting a fine through the door which has made our 30min detour to the pub for 1 pint very very expensive. This is not the first time I have been to the rodmill and last time I went there was a pad to put your car reg in and very clear information regarding charges. This time u couldn't see anything outside, but it was dark and nothing in the pub and the lady who served us mentioned nothing. I'm extremely upset and disappointed and will not be returning as 2 pints has cost us £70 !!

Staff really friendly, very pleasant and helpful atmosphere. Donna especially is lovely. We come to this pub as they show the football and the food is lovely. Great place, definitely our new local.

We went for Christmas dinner at the Rodmill today.and it was simply perfect.food was ace the staff were brilliant.we will be back next week.xxx

Family Christmas meal, atmosphere was really nice, mostly generated by my groups booking of 24, the food however left A LOT to be desired. Vegetables were clearly microwaved and frozen, meat was dry, my 'medium rare' steak was closer to cremated..

We like the food the ambience and the quiz, the staff are friendly and polite. it is a nice family pub. our sons are fussy eaters but they love the food there. overall it is our favourite venue to go and eat and drink as a family, we try and go every Thursday night for dinner and the quiz.

We love meeting up here from Lancing with family from Eastbourne & Hastings. The food is great & there's always good value options (BOGOFF on burgers every Thursday). We were served by a particularly personable barmaid who immediately put us at ease with friendly banter & familiar way. Advise you plan to arrive a little early as it's a popular venue with somewhat limited parking (but I noticed 2 EV charging spots in their car park). Overall the atmosphere is very friendly and relaxed.

If your looking for a lively pub this is it! Very busy the last time I went but it was buy one get one free on burgers! Food is good with incredible large portions!

I had a fantastic time at the pub. The staff really made the experience special—they were so friendly and welcoming from the moment I arrived. They kept the drinks flowing and made sure we were comfortable all night. What stood out most was how attentive they were, always checking in without being intrusive. We even had a few laughs with them, and they made great recommendations for drinks. It’s rare to find such great service, and it definitely made our night unforgettable. I’ll definitely be back, thanks to the amazing staff!

The food is cheap and cheerful and the atmosphere is good most evenings. They are a sports bar so expect them to be showing the latest matches in the evenings. Great family pub x

Great time, a party of 7 of us. Food easily ordered, served all of us at the same time, despite various different orders. Waitresses ALL fantastic,helpful,attentive and friendly.Fully recommend this place, would certainly come back.

I was having a viewing at a nearby location and decided to drop in here for a pint. It had been close to 20 years since I had last visited The Rodmill and obviously much had changed. Obviously my visit was dictated by my appointment time, so I can imagine that evenings would be much busier? Very friendly and welcoming staff and although this visit was outside the 'rush hours', it was easy to spot a few off duty NHS staff sitting enjoying their coffees. Very close to Eastbourne General Hospital so understandably it's a popular venue after work. Unfortunately for me the viewing was a pointless exercise so my plan to have The Rodmill as my local was thrown out with the bath water. Recommended.

Came for my sisters birthday, we was a big group and our waitress was fabulous her name was Julie she said she was new but really couldn’t tell.

Turned up expecting to order roast dinner but was none as equipment wasn't working properly so had to have something else. Staff were very friendly and polite

I recently had a meal at The Rodmill with my mum. The food was plentiful and good quality offering great value for money. Our waitress Donna was also excellent, and was very attentive and efficient from start to finish. All the staff worked tirelessly. I would definitely recommend this place for small and large groups.

We always find the food and the place so good. We have been to Rodmill a lot of times now, celebrating birthdays, retirement and leaving dos. The food and the service are both excellent.

Decent pub but they have a great EV charger. Staff are always friendly and welcoming. The grub is not expensive and always tasty, would recommend. It's a decent place to spend an hour or 2. Can occasionally be very loud but it's a pub!

Had a good afternoon at The Rodmill today. Special thanks to Donna who reserved a perfect table to watch the football from, as requested, with all of half an hours notice on a busy day. Perfect place for a casual meal. Something for everyone on the menu and everything we had was very nice and reasonably priced. Thank you!

Regularly served by Gemma. Absolute breath of fresh air has amazing energy. Fast paced and defo knows what she's doing. Great memory and remembered me after my first visit. Whether busy or quite staff are always smiley polite and organised. This has become a regular spot for me to relax and have a drink because of these reasons. Yet to try the food but what comes out looks flipping amazing the smell defo gets you salivating.

Best pub food I’ve had in my LIFE , had the chicken strips and chips and my boy friend had the chicken mix plus we shared a sharers and natchos were divine , brilliant service from Amelia Lisa and Donna , deff will be coming back and so underrated and amazing quality food for not a bad price !!!! The building is very tired and in desperate need of renovation. The toilets were pretty disgusting. The Sunday roast was disappointing- small, dry meat and very overcooked veg. The only redeeming part was plenty of gravy. The burgers that some of our party had looked good. We tried to order beer as they had a £2 a pint promo but then informed us it was only on Fosters, I mean, who drinks Fosters? We're adults! Won't rush back.

Quiz nights, food deals throughout week, plus live sports on several tvs. Julie and Tim are the best owners who run the pub and are both very hands-on.

Great value pub, one of our go-to places if we fancy eating out during the week. Wide range of food, including all the steaks, burgers and pub classics you could wish for! The bar staff and food waiting team are always pleasant and service with a smile. Oh, and the millionaire waffle fries are amazing!👌
