Round of Gras Pub in Wychavon

Christmas menu with friends from table tennis group. What a lovely meal (how did they get the roasters so crispy?!). I had the pork roulade, very tasty. Desserts were also excellent and of a decent size. All in all very good value and a cut above many Xmas menus.

We came as a group of 9 on a Wednesday lunchtime, expecting the festive menu but delighted to see the Carvery on offer. Great quality food at a good price, choice of small/medium/large carvery. Puddings homemade and delicious. Will definitely return for our party next year, plus a few personal visits I’m sure. Thank you to the team!

Absolutely fantastic carvery, the best we’ve ever had!!! We visit with friends (who live in the area) for our annual Xmas meal together. Staff are brilliant and the lady at the carvery can’t do enough for you!! Our friends are vegan and dine here regularly as there are plenty options for them too. Roasties are always crispy, pork crackling is absolutely delicious and always a great selection of seasonal veggies and sauces. Prices are very reasonable too. Car park can get quite busy at times so arrive early so you can get a spot.

Stopped going there, around three years ago when reporting that the underside of all four plates were covered in grease, the complaint was not addressed . So we haven't gone back since.

Nice hearty food and good portion sizes, the staff are always friendly and helpful, and the prices are pretty good as well. £120 for 6 of us to have Sunday roast there, that included some drinks and bits as well

Good traditional pub food at a reasonable price. My mother in law was impressed that many of the dishes had the option of a smaller portion (although to be honest, still a generous amount of food!).

Fabulous pub lunch with my family. Friendly service and great value home made pub food, with small portion and gluten free options. Had the steak and onion baguette with hand cut, home made chips and a Guinness 0%. Will definitely return again soon.

Excellent place to visit on a late Sunday afternoon for an impromptu family carvery meal. Carvery was hot and fresh even at 5pm. Staff were helpful and as a family with young children, we were made to feel welcome even though it is a ‘locals’ pub. Garden is a bit tired but perfectly serviceable on a warm afternoon. We sat and made conversation with the other customers and learned a lot about the local area. I didn’t see inside as we chose to sit outside but my husband says it was ‘a proper local welcoming pub’. There are so many overpriced ‘piss n importance’ pubs in this part of the Cotswold. The Round of Gras delivers good homemade food at reasonable prices with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. What more could you ask for?

Nice place to go with family on the Sunday roast. The roast is always tasty. The other meals from the menu (like fish and chips or chicken nuggets) are also worth trying. Prices could be a bit lower, but still not completely outside the budget.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this one was shockingly bad. Ordered the Gras favourite burger and received an abomination. I can’t even describe how bad it was, it looked like a piece of dry leather with questionable gray seepage and smelled absolutely awful, and the taste was… no words. The chips were cold and tasted like cardboard, and they even missed the onion rings in the burger. To charge £17 for this is absolutely insane, £2 burgers from McDonalds taste much better than this. I’m surprised to see all the positive reviews, perhaps I was just unlucky. I loathe wasting food, but this meal ended up in the bin.

My friend Keith Jones and I went on a "Keith's On Tour" trip to Broadway Tower, Broadway, Chipping Campden & Bidford Upon Avon tour of the Cotswolds and went for lunch at The Round of Grass pub 😀 and Bistro in Badsey near Chipping Campden and Broadway. The ♈️ food was excellent. As it was Asparagus Season I had 6 seasoned and buttered 🧈 Asparagus tips and two runny fried eggs 🍳 with marvellous yellowy yolks along with a round of locally sourced black ⚫️ pudding made from pig's that had been locally slaughtered 🐖. That was merely a starter BUT was plenty for me as the portions in the Round of Grass were huge. My travelling ♥️ companion 💕 and fellow member of "The Two Keiths" had a cheese 🧀 double baguette and salad as Keith although a former prison officer at Birmingham prison at Winson Green 💚 is a vegetarian. How appearances can belie life choices.......Anyway I don't have any photos of my meal of seasonal Asparagus Tips, two fried eggs 😋 and a round of locally sourced Black Pudding and The Round of Grass pub but the bill came to what I thought was a very reasonable £20.70 and we had a cappuccino coffee ☕️ and a latte coffee ☕️. All in all a lovely 😍 Asparagus Season meal followed by a trip to Broadway Tower and Chipping Campden

Really well presented and tasty meals. Chef knows how to make the most out of the local asparagus. Sensible pricing in comfortable surroundings. Service a bit disjointed but it was early on a Saturday so could understand the slight wait, but as we were not in a hurry, not a problem. Will definitely go back.

Average experience. However, some of our party loved it! Good - service, portion size, price. Accommodated our large group well. Range of choices - veg and potato types with meals. Less good - Carpark (tight/some odd angles to maximise space), atmosphere, food quality.

We went for lunch on Easter Sunday. Although the pub was very busy the service was excellent. The manager was very helpful with my husband who needs a wheelchair at present. Food was good, generous amount of meat compared to a standard carvery.

What a joy to find that a friends “local” is something special. Thursday lunchtime and the place was packed with diners. I decided to have a Roast, and was not disappointed. The waitress was very busy, but she still found time to offer advice on the menu. With the main course finished I just had to have a dessert … a very delicate Apple Crumble. Perfect. After staying “a few hours” it became evident that we might as well eat again … and Asparagus-based dishes were enjoyed by all. I’m looking forward to my next visit

Is this the best place for a traditional roast dinner?…..I really think it is! Excellent value for money and great service. The roast is fabulous…old fashioned…just like Mum used to make…..there is no higher accolade than that! Give it a go! 👍

Carvery advertised available on Sunday till 1800hrs. I arrived at 1750hrs I asked are you still doing Carvery? Yes was the reply. So I ordered and paid and went to get my food. Beef all gone Gammon all gone I got given some very over cooked and very dry Turkey. But still charged the full price. Must be my fault for not getting there earlier ?

Good, tasty and fresh food. The service was very good. It was very difficult to finish eating because the portions were large 🥩😉 We definitely recommend this place and will definitely go back there soon👍😊

Can't recommend it highly enough. Food was amazing. Piping hot and so flavoursome. I come from a catering back ground myself and I can honestly say that was some of the best food I gave tasted. The lasagne was to die for so was the apple and plum crumble. The crumble topping melted in your mouth like shortbread does.

Had a lovely meal from the Christmas menu .. 10/10 … very tasty and nice and hot. Had the turkey then the Bakewell pudding with custard. Plenty of it … you won’t leave hungry ! Also highly recommend the steak and mushroom baguette (always have that for a lunchtime snack)

Was in today with friends for lunch. We had Sizzlers which were amazing as always, well cooked and hot. . Lovely atmosphere, very busy but no waiting to be served, Staff very friendly and efficient. Thank you to a lovely start to our Christmas celebrations.

It was my twin granddaughters birthday and they did them proud.

I've used this pub on and off for more than 50 years. It remains a local pub, very individual and, happily, not part of a chain. This time we came as a party of eighteen for a family Christmas gathering. To assist the kitchen, we had already pre-ordered our meals. The welcome was warm, and the tables were ready for us. All the meals (chosen from 4 different menus) arrived together, hot from the kitchen, in generous helpings and properly cooked (the battered cod, for instance, was spot-on). Desserts - in equally generous helpings - were delicious. Service was excellent from the young waiting staff, and clearly the kitchen must be well organised. We'd happily return, perhaps during the asparagus season to have some of their 'Gras' specials!

First time going to the round of gras, great food, friendly staff, good value for money. And they do a roast dinner every day of the week so that sold it to the other half!! Will definitely go there again

First visit by us, taken by friends who have been there many times before. It was a very busy Sunday lunchtime, we all ate the carvery - which was delicious. Staff were very friendly and we didn't have to wait long for drinks or deserts to be delivered. And all at a very good price. Would certainly be back and wholeheartedly recommend it.

Alway stop here when we go to Evesham, which is about 30 miles from where we live, never had a bad meal.

Had two Sunday lunch's and my god they were brilliant so we took two home aswell. The lady who answered the phone had a wonderful telephone manner and all the staff were excellent. Its 40 odd miles from my home but well worth the effort.

We travelled down from the North West and chose this based on its location as it is near where we were staying. What a lovely surprise! The staff were lovely and welcoming. Great choice of traditional British pub food and a board of specials to supplement the standard menu. We had gammon steak which was possibly the best I have ever had. Not salty, but thick and succulent with hardly any fat. Topped with two fried eggs and your choice of vegetables/chips. The desserts were wonderful! The lemon crunch and sticky toffee Sunday were fantastic. Great prices and would highly recommend for those who like good traditional pub food served piping hot by attentive friendly staff.

Had a carvery for our anniversary. The food wasn't very hot, poor choice of vegetables. Very disappointed, didn't stay for dessert. Service was good, though.

Had a family get together here. The table buzzer system is a fantastic idea. Staff when you want them. The food was tasty and a decent price. Only down side was the beer garden and kids play frame, both overgrown, forgotten and broken.

Went here for a family meal on a Saturday at 4.30pm, 9 of us. Arrived just before booked time and shown to table, drinks ordered and menus left with us. No one came to take order. We had to ask and were told we should have used the bell on the table. I must say the bell on our table wasn't very obvious. When food came it was lovely. Had to ask again for table to be cleared and for dessert menu. Bell rang 4 times and no one came so abandoned dessert and spoke to lady behind bar to be told it was very busy and short staffed. When we arrived we were the only ones and others started to arrive around 5.30pm. It took 2 hours to be served a main meal! I felt we had been sat in a corner where no one could see us and forgotten about. Shame really that the service was so poor as the food was lovely. Won't be going back.

Very nice pub / restaurant in a lovely countryside setting. As part of a coach party we were served an excellent carvery and the staff were very attentive.

First visit for a long time on Saturday evening. Excellent meal. All 5 of us very pleased. Starters and main courses cooked well and excellent value for money. Will definitely not leave it so long next time. Well done. Glad there are still some genuine pubs doing good pub grub left.

Lovely food ,overall pub run down needs a refresh

Called in for lunch a coach was outside we thought it would be heaving but there were a few tables in the bar area. We ordered a meal each and were expecting a long wait due to the coach but wow the meals came very quickly were well cooked and hot especially the quiche which my wife thoroughly enjoyed and my sizzler was excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed the meal and the staff were friendly. We will be returning well done round of gras

Great food, good service and very helpful, friendly staff. I also like that you just ring the little electrical bell on the table and you are served at the table.

Had a really nice evening with family at the Round Of Gras tonight (23/06/23). The pub had a nice atmosphere and the menu choices were great. Service was good & food was delicious. Good value for money. Would definitely return & recommend.

We first discovered the Round of Gras by accident about ten years ago. We return each year for their asparagus menu. We usually go twice during the asparagus season each trip entails a 100 mile round trip but worth every mile. The only year we missed was when Covid was at its height. So far we have only been once year, but hope to be back again before the season is over. Well what can you say about the food, good choice of asparagus dishes and this year the food was better than ever. It is always served piping hot, and it is so tasty. They supply little buzzers on the table that are used to call the staff to take you order and also so that you can pay at the table. The lady that served us this year, may be Polish, I am not good on detecting her accent, but what an asset to the Round of Gras, absolutely nothing was too much trouble including providing a container to take away what I could not eat. (Portions are very generous). This year you could also purchase Asparagus Scones, which we did, they came wrapped in cellophane and tied with a bow. We had these at home and they lovely and fresh and savoury also excellent. Hope to see you again soon, please keep up the excellent meals.

Fantastic roast carvery dinner every time. Veggies have a good flavour which when added to the carvery meat makes a very good tasty meal. Deserts are good too. Staff are warm and welcoming.

The staff are very Friendly and the food is ok. But the place itself looks very tired inside and out. You have to check the Bill because we had someone else's food and drink added on to ours, And we hadn't notice until we got home and looked at it a few days later.

Small tables. Cramped restaurant. Turkey was nice. Beef was overcooked.

We come here quite often as it's down the road from my mother in law. Food is reasonably priced and you don't wait long. For the Sunday carvery there are 3 plate sizes on offer which is really sensible, and you can also order from the main menu. I'd recommend an earlier time slot for the carvery as it's popular!

My pub round the corner. . . Always lovely staff and food, though personally would love to see a slightly more adventurous vegetarian/vegan menu :-) Great place to meet up with friends, to chat and to relax.

Blown away by the warm hospitality, service and the quality of their food. We had three carverys and a lasagne, and we all found them scrummy. Definitely going back.
