Amazing steak. Great service. Pleasantly amazed at the atmosphere and quality of food! We were after somewhere quiet with good steak and got more than what we wanted. I definitely recommend.

Decent American diner, great service, burrito was tasty

Chef is incapable of cooking a steak as requested, all 3 steaks this time were wrong, medium came out well done as did medium rare, management refused to rectify it and suggested we should just eat it as it is! Or order a more expensive option as you had run out of the 2 different steaks we had tried to order Appalling service, ruined our evening, will not be returning or recommending to anyone Following up after your response That’s simply not true is it! We were certainly not rude despite being told that the well done chewy steak was indeed medium rare and as you say “cooked to perfection “ do you not think that the customer should make that judgement? You couldn’t offer us a replacement meal as the clearly inexperienced young lady that was”acting manager” told us not only did you not have and sirloin which was my wife’s first choice meaning we had to upgrade to the t bone you also didn’t have any more t bone because the overcooked steaks you presented us with were the last ones because it had been “such a busy day” the acting manager was lovely and polite also apologised for us being called liars by the chef and agreed that the steaks were clearly overcooked, we were made to feel very uncomfortable and had to pay over the odds for our two children to eat while we left very upset and still hungry As a small business owner myself I cannot understand the mentality of the owner of this establishment and a guess I would think the owner is the chef as it seems to me he is the only person in the right You have also responded now calling us liars and claiming we were rude to your staff lets make it clear that you are lying! Your staff were lovely and pleasant and also agreed that we’re correct about the over cooked food also agreed that although we had not complained in the past about the usually undercooked steaks that it was not fair on us to have food that’s not as we asked for it but the staff clearly have no say in the response to any issues raised and like I stated before I can only assume that I’m correct in saying the rude lying pigheadedness that is coming from the owner of this establishment directly at it’s customers is as a result of the owner being the chef and accepting no responsibility or constructive criticism! I only hope that this review along with a good number of others that have left similar reviews will help to prevent others from receiving this kind of unfair and unacceptable treatment/abuse from you

Superb food. Steaks cooked well, burgers and hot dogs were liked. Sundaes were the best we have had for years. Downside, being behind a filling station and next to a car repair workshop made parking limited. Restaurant wasn't very bust. If the owner sees this post I suggest you look at your road side signage. It is not easy to see in daylight, almost impossible at night. At least it was on Saturday 25th January.

Great Steaks reasonably priced deserts also good Think as I worked in fast food restaurants in California n Florida They’d do really fantastic if they made a cheaper steak fries peas egg sunny side up or over easy N have a tradition treacle sponge it’s by far the cheapest dish to make in the entire world people love it with custard but does not find itself on many restaurants menus who seem to hop for sticky toffee pudding if they go that way ? Great service btw

Food was amazing. We had a mix of burgers and steak. All were cooked perfectly! Good quality food and value for money. Four people with 2 alcoholic drinks for under £90. Staff were friendly and attentive. Lovely decor. It was fairly quiet when we went, but atmosphere was welcoming. We will definitely return.

Visited yesterday for lunch, as my brother and I were on an admin day dropping bits off nearby. The place is very clean and well looked after. The Service was great and our server really friendly. Food was good I had the Steak Sub, my brother the southern fried sub and chilli cheese fries. Overall couldn't fault it and if I'm in the area would happily eat there again.

Second visit to this diner great decor, cold and lacking something......table was booked for 7pm we ordered mains but considering there were so few took ages steak good but chips barely hot. Then got the feeling they wanted us to leave .......not sure about returning

Popped in early afternoon for a last meal of the year lunch. We were impressed by the look of the place (I've not been since it was the Imperial Bento Chinese) and the decor is great. It was pretty chilly inside though and the radiator next to me was cold. We'd had an early start that day and so we were really hungry and looking forward to some food. We ordered some drinks and then food and waited patiently. And then we waited some more. And then more.... By the time we got our food we had been there for 1 hour and 15 mins. It was just too long and even more so as it felt cold in the restaurant. The burgers we ordered were actually very good and the side of mac and cheese was nice too. They were cooked well and hot. We had every intention of pudding but after waiting so long we couldn't risk waiting another hour for that and so we didn't bother. Had the place been busy I could possibly understand the long wait but there were 5 tables in with us, some already eating. Plus it's a burger, how long does that take to cook?! It's a shame as we would love to come back because of the good food and maybe we will knowing now we will have to wait, but it's far from ideal. Staff were really nice so that's a plus. Toilets awful and absolutely freezing. Go, but be prepared to wait!

Absolutely disgusting. Drove from Peterborough. Arrived at 7.58pm Google states they close at 9pm , was told by a very rude waitress that they were no longer accepting tables ,there were only 3 other tables seated so not because they were full . How can you arrive an hour before closing and be turned away. Avoid .

Always a great place to eat. Lovely food, good service and reasonable prices. Our go to now we're living in the area. FAB breakfast 👍

Well - it is a nice place to eat, but they have to work a bit on food quality. I'm talking now about steak. All ingredients and sauce was really good but the steak itself - can't say that it was good. I ordered medium rare but it definitely was not medium rare. It was chevy and stringy, some parts burned badly. Overall not a bad place to eat but probably not for my expectations as a STEAK HOUSE. 🤷 P.s. Remember that you will have to pay on top of the price that is written in the menu as it is in America 🫣😁

Popped in for breakfast and me and my wife both had a breakfast sub, sausage, bacon, hash browns and could have egg on to but we didn’t. Fresh well cooked tasty food delivered by a really friendly staff member. Highly rate for breakfast give it a try, we will be back. See photo attached of the sub

First visit here today had over the pond breakfast it was one of the best I have had I am a very fussy eater aswell

had an amazing meal today! we were greeted by a lovely lady Beth who showed us to our table. You could tell food was homemade and totally worth the hype, chef Izzy cooked a beautiful Fillet steak with pull pork fries were divine!! my hubby had the bufferlo burger , the mac was and so cheesy and creamy , sooooo much flavour !! #CHEESEPULL Overall great experience the service was great and the food was spectacular.

Beautiful small american diner with fantastic staff and food freshly cooked. Always book to avoid disappointment as can be full, lots of choice, will swap for allergy sufferers, menu does cater for this anyway. Good kids menu.

Second time coming here and forgot to pre-book, so I messaged on fb and they took the booking no issues, a nice warm welcome, we were shown our seats and given the drinks and food menu, obviously it's a steak we go for ribeye, food took about 25-30 but it was a Saturday and only made us hungrier, the manager will stop and chat and is lovely, the food is delicious the best steak ive had, we also went for the chilli cheese chips and thats like a chilli con carney not spicy at all but is so good, my wife is fussy with meats and she ate hers with no issues, now the food was beautiful you won't be disappointed, i want to go back again right now haha.

You must visit this place, Portions are massive honestly I'm really surprised, I had the ultimate mac n cheese and I was blow away with how much flavor their was and how sucliant the pulled port on top was it was mouth watering, the staff are really friendly and not too in you're face but I never felt likw I was forgotten about, proper cooked food compliments to the chef when I go next time I will get more pictures

Really disappointed with our visit today. I’ve been lots of times before and have been a little less happy each time. We were there early, which I can appreciate means things are not quite ready or turned on so the 40 minute wait, whilst frustrating is explainable. It was also freezing so I spent most of my meal with my coat on. I asked the (very friendly) waitress for a flat white and she said they could only do latte or cappuccino which I was confused over as they are the same ingredients but when I saw that the coffee was made using an instant sachet it made sense. I couldn’t believe it but thought surely this will be reflected in the price…it was not…£4 for an instant coffee. Such a shame. They did not have hashbrowns (which is a permanent thing on a Monday or a Friday so should be reflected on the menus?) which was a shame. I ordered the pancakes which have always been a hit when I’ve had them before but on this occasion the bottom one was so crispy/burnt - again I think this must have been the first one, we all know the first one is always a duff but don’t serve it and expect the customer not to notice. I can’t fault the waitress she was doing her best. It was hard to not hear the elderly couple across the table from us complaining about their cold food and the missing honey butter from their pancakes. Felt sad for them. One of the waitress also had a hole in her leggings which doesn’t give good impressions. This restaurant has so much potential but they can’t seem to keep their standards high enough when it’s really quiet or really busy. I worked in a restaurant for over 10 years and can forgive a lot but £4 for instant latte means I won’t return again.

My stack was fantastic but some of the other people's food was cold. Thay did sort it straight away and didn't charge for them .so that was fantastic.

It's a good place to eat , I have visited 4 or 5 times and never had a bad meal . In my view the steaks are expensive so usually select something else . The prawn cocktail starter is worth a mention , huge prawns , best around in my view . Service sometimes a little slow but not a big issue . Would recommend .

Food was horrible it's a nice place lots of photos and things but there were dogs all over inside and the food i've ordered to take away half of it I had to trow away it was impossible to eat

Fantastic ride on our bikes to the little gem ww found the food was spot on from the hot chocolate with cream and marshmallow on top to the massive burger and pulled pork on top n cheese and loads of chips the desert was massive ice cream and chocolate brownie I'd say the best place I've ever eaten the staff was was on top form with a smile 10 out of 10 a must visit

Great ride out today, ordered and our meal arrived promptly which was good. The meal was superb and we were stuffed afterwards. The service was prompt courteous and professional. Will certainly be a returning customer thank you.

Been past here for years, and finally stopped. Was not disappointed. Excellent food, good friendly staff, warm and inviting. Kids and wife had burgers and they looked amazing. Can't remember what burgers they were, but one had mac cheese on it. I had bbq ribs and southern fried chicken 🤤😋. Best ribs and chicken ever. Will return. Well worth traveling from Deeping Saint Nicholas.

We were on a trip to Norfolk and I checked on Trip Advisor for suitable restaurants for lunch. It's easy to find on the A47. It doesn't look much from the outside, but very smart on the inside. The walls are covered with mainly sporting memorabilia. We were met by our waitress, Beth, and taken to our table for lunch. I had a Kansas City Chiefs burger which was delicious. It was a burger with cheese, bacon and a perfectly cooked fried egg. My daughter (aged 12) had the same but with no egg. The chips were lovely too. We can honestly say that we can't remember when we had a better burger. The food that other guests looked lovely too. We were full up in the end, but saw some magnificent puddings being enjoyed by other guests. A special mention to Beth who was lovely, and a perfect hostess. Thanks again 47 for a great meal.

Friendly staff and good food. Huge portions, so a starter and a main is quite an epic undertaking. There was no music last time we went in, so it was rather quiet, but otherwise we had a lovely time.

Visited with my brother and his wife on recommendation. Absolutely delicious and excellent service. Staff were lovely, we had two cocktails Pornstar Martini and French Martini and they were ace. Steak was cooked to perfection (ribeye cooked medium rare) the peppercorn sauce was the best I have ever had anywhere had been made from scratch. Kids meal was great an absolute gem of a place will go again! Would recomend

Don't really know where to start, the experience here was beyond awful, in route 47 they don't know what hygiene is. Glass for drink is dirty, table dirty, under my "fillet steak" was an extension eye lash + on top of it curlie hair. Two waitress was standing behind the bar, one of them with dirty clothes+ brushing her hair behind the bar, another one constantly biting her nails and then serving the customers. About toilets don't have even the words to explain. This place must be checked by hygiene specialist to find if they aloud to even be open. Fallowing owner's answer: Well your blond lady from the kitchen had eye lashes. Check the cameras for the glass and all nail biting, hair brushing, dirty clothes i have no intentions to lie. To complain to them really?! I didn't complain in place because: First you have online for review's that other people will see where they go. Second what next would be from your staff maybe bitten nail or another hair in other plate! Now i understand why your staff have no idea what's hygiene, because you don't explain them when they wrong but just blaming customers in every single review. Have a good day. I have nothing else to say.

Came here for my sons 18th birthday meal,there were 20 of us but this was no problem for the staff,they were spot on with drinks and service,steaks were all cooked to perfection,highly recommend route 47 to anyone and will definitely be returning soon myself.

I had a sirloin steak cooked to perfection had a beautiful seasoning on it! The salad and dressing was outstanding! Service was wonderful Really welcoming and polite! The other people in my group also loved the food. Thank-you for an amazing meal!!!

What can I say, the food was beautiful and cooked to perfection. Me and others in my family had the buffalo bills burger and we all loved it! Staff are very attentive and food was 10/10🤩Could not fault the place at all, highly recommend!!!

Went for breakfast. Food was disgusting. Tea served in chipped mugs. American pancakes were horrible with a couple of tiny bits of streaky bacon. Friend had french toast which was like slime. Neither of us finished and it took ages to come. Will not be returning.

Me and my family have previously been here for dinner which was amazing so i thought i would try their breakfast too. I had a loaded over the pond. Absolutely no complaints whatsoever. Food was delicious, came out in such good timing and the staff were super friendly every time we have been. Would definitely recommend and will be returning!!

Was just an awful experience, waited 50 minutes for our food, was absolutely freezing in there, food was average nothing great. Very disappointing, over 2 other customers complained about food taking over an hour.

Absolutely delishes food. Huge portions as well (we couldn't finish all our food). Prices are decent for what you get as well. Service was great as well. My only complaint is that there is no burgers named after the 49ers or La Lakers 😭 (all the burgers are named after US sports teams)

Was told best place to go for a good steak . Nah 40 quid said was seasoned salt n pepper ,,really bland .. all bland tbh . All I can say we tried it , and won't be returning .. didn't try ripping them off agreed to pay half the price it was .I think that was more than fair , as I only had a couple of bites of the steak . Salad was not really what I'd call a salad chopped up in tiny pieces . Onion rings not very good,iv better tesco value ones .

Been past this hidden gem loads of times and never been in, which I now regret as it’s fantastic food at good prices. I had the tomahawk steak and it blow my mind flavour was unbelievable, two people I was with had burger and fries and when theirs came out you could see the quality of the food so of course had to have a try of theirs and it tasted as good as it looked. So yes yes yes take a trip it’s well worth it and to the restaurant keep up the good work food is golden.

Been wanting to try this place for a while and finally booked a table for me and the mrs for my birthday yesterday. Plenty of choice on the menu to the point I had to send the waitress away twice because my mouth was watering at the options. In the end we decided to go for the ultimate mac and cheese and the houston burger and share between us as we could not decide on one meal, had to go for the blue cheese sauce on the side aswell as an extra ;) Mac and cheese was flavoursome and worked really well with the pulled pork and chicken and the burger was juicy with nice smoky bacon. It's not often I have dinner at 6pm and not end up snacking again throughout the evening but we were both satisfied and stuffed for the rest of the night. Didn't catch the waitresses names but they both seemed on the ball and the desserts they kept bringing out all looked amazing as well, shame we did not save room for any. Would 100% go again and would recommend to anyone. Looking forward to trying either the ribs or the dogs next time! Music in the background also banging aswell as the nice decor

Been wanting to call in for a meal for ages.took our chance today for our anniversary.very few people in so thought should be ok.ordered food/drinks from a lovely young lady.starters were good the the mains arrived well if you like burnt tasting dried food it you will hit the jackpot.£35 for a mixed grill. Steak was well done(ordered medium) and tough tested burnt 2 small sausages chicken was dry thin slice of gamon and chips. Even the onion rings were hard to bite into. £total for 2 starters and 2 mains and soft drinks £96 WILL NEVER GO BACK. Food over priced and very poor quality. Over cooked and dry. Then to top it off a couple letting their little girl run round screaming. Perfect meal out NOT 🚫

Beautiful atmosphere and I love the memorabilia around the restaurant. The tomahawk steak was tender, juicy and delicious and the sweet potato fries on the side complimented the steak well. Great hospitality and service for my first time at a steakhouse. This is definitely a place to come back to and I strongly recommend.

Had dinner there tonight. lovely friendly waitress. I had lA burger, wife had chicken/ribs combo. Food came piping hot and lots of it! Burger was delicious, chips were fabulous and plentiful. Wife's chicken/ribs combo also excellent. Place is clean and pleasant to be in. Would be happy to go again and strongly recommend. Only one teeny complaint - Emilie Sade is fine in very small doses, a whole hour may be defined as cruel and unusual treatment! Great place, give it a try!

Absolutely shocking, called with a group of 10 people only 3 tables were taken and they refused our entry not being able to cater or seat 10 people. Attitudes stunk and I now have kids sat in the car for a 35minute drive back home gutted

Travelled over 45 mins to try their American breakfast, other than the Name and the Menu there’s little american about the place. We had breakfast so can’t comment on the other menu options. The pancakes seem to be baked not griddled, leaving them dense and like eating a sponge cake with a cake tin crust, the waffles are clearly sugar waffles brought in and not freshly cooked, and being one of only very few tables had to wait over 45 mins for our order. I’ve been to many ‘American Restaurants’ and unfortunately this is the worse I’ve been to. Edited following response: The response from the restaurant somehow suggests that my review isn’t an honest account and I somehow I have a vested interested. I can confirm that neither are the case, we visited after my daughter found you online, we’ve lived in the US for over 6 years and seek out American restaurants to try. As I said in my initial review, I can’t account for the other menu items, I can only review as we found it this morning. It did take far too long, I’ve never had pancakes like those served in all of the 18 states I’ve visited and the waffles were brought in, the only shame in that is griddle pancakes and waffles are very easy to make fresh.

Met with friends (party of 5) for lunch. Milkshakes superb, food excellent and such good choices. Friendly staff, very helpful, shame the chilli burger was off the menu. The homemade coleslaw is great! Will return to try the steaks!

We called in on our way home at 3:30pm there were two other families dining at the time. We were greeted with a smile from the waitress and could pretty much choose our own seats. The decor is lovely to look at, the walls full of memorabilia. We ordered our drinks which arrived swiftly and ordered four mains. Considering how quiet it was, the main courses took a little long to arrive than expected but they were worth the wait, very tasty and presented well. The prices seemed slightly above average, it wouldn’t put us off going back though. My only negative or constructive criticism would be the condition of the men’s toilets, not the most inviting and I expected them to be in better condition

Disappointed with food, fillet steak wasn't great at all and my 5 year old ate it all - says a lot about portion Size. As for myself I had a bbq ribs that were extremely tough, hard and meat was barely coming off the bone. Ice cream was nice though ironically for a steak house. I would not recommend nor would come back. Waitress asked if everything was OK and I answered rib racks are tough, and they asked me if I wish to have another portion - no thanks! Surprised by majority of reviews seen in here.

Substantial portions and huge menu (even though advertised as a steak diner there was plenty more choice) at very reasonable prices. Bright and clean, great decor. Young lady serving at tables was welcoming, polite and efficient. Not the most auspicious of locations behind a fuel station, but ignore that and give it a try, as inside it's very nice!

A treat to visit. You need to be hungry

You get a lot of food and it's all OK. It just didn't WOW me. The starter was cold and gloopy (pulled pork barbeque), the rest...well simply OK..and considering the time we went, 3pm it was quiet but had a 20 minute wait post starter. Worth a visit though.

This is our go-to place when we are in the area . We enjoy the lovely food friendly staff and the reasonable cost can't wait for our next visit

Stopped off on the way home for lunch. Very nice food and good service. Staff very friendly. Prices normal for a diner. Although quiet for a lunch time I would imagine it gets busy in the evenings. Great film, music and sport memorabilia. Definitely worth a visit.

Been looking for somewhere new for our Sunday breakfast. So impressed with this place! Staff are welcoming and friendly. Place is clean and well presented and the food - wow. A perfectly cooked breakfast at a reasonable price. We'll be back very soon and would highly recommend.

First time going to this lovely restaurant and it was fabulous, the service was fantastic as the servers and the host/manager would come and check to see if everything was okay, even though it was busy. The food was fantastic! My triple dog was worth every mouthwatering peice, the pulled pork well seasoned and the chilli not being too spicy as well as the hot dog itself soaking up all the flavour from all the sauces! I also ordered a Freak Shake which was honeycone and white chocolate with whipped cream, sweets and sauce on top! Could not stop drinking it 😁😁😁 My Mum had the houston burger whilst Her BF had the T-Bone steak which they also give high praise for! The atmosphere was lovely, with retro posters and signs as well as memorabilia along walls..... And a C3-PO! A must go to place!!

American dinner serving American menu items. Burgers, ribs, tex mex are the main items. Nothing over exciting in flavour's but food was hot. Freshly cooked, it took a while to get served but certainly served straight away. Buffalo ribs were a little salty, coleslaw was great. Clean restaurant but could do with a little more of a US atmosphere.

If you are like me you are underwhelmed about the quality of a steak. All I can say is you won’t be disappointed here, the quality and cook quality is spot on. The staff here seem very dedicated to ensuring your meal is excellent.

We visited on a Saturday evening at 5:30. The restaurant was fairly busy already and also they had a large party expected in. The food was delicious and the portion sizes were very good. Every meal was cooked and presented perfectly. We had two courses and were in the restaurant for around 2 hours and we did not feel rushed at any point. Would definitely recommend for some excellent American style food.

Wife has just taken me here for my 65th birthday and have to say it was excellent. Food was great and staff were excellent, would definitely recommend a visit to this restaurant.

Food is absolutely incredible! We had the prawn cocktail and ribs for starters which were delicious and both had the Dallas Cowboy burger for mains which was out of this world!! Service is great all the staff are so friendly, wait times for food are excellent and the atmosphere is awesome! Definitely book a table as it's always booked up for obvious reasons!
