We have been here many many times and always have a good time here. Food always superb, staff are very friendly.

Disculpas, ya que no tengo el nombre de los camareros principales, él fue increíble, nos escuchó hablar sobre el cumpleaños de mi esposo y consiguió que el equipo le cantara feliz cumpleaños al final de nuestra comida, gracias a este fue un bonito toque inesperado. ¡Volveremos!

Lovely atmosphere and kemny was really fruendly and eager to help us, don't be shy to ask for condiments and they kept puring tea. Food was good fired rice was a bit bland but they gave me soy sauce when I asked for more. Ho fun noodles were great. I would come back.

Great location facing the Thames. Spotlessly clean and recently refurbished to a high standard. Restaurant was however cold and all the dishes were too. There was the same song playing on repeat which was irritating. Staff were generally lovely, however they only asked how our food was when we paid the bill which is a bit too late, however we did provide feedback. Strange that we were told up front to stay no more than 90 mins even though the restaurant was quiet. Food was delicious, shame it was cold.

Disappointed that the dim sum options were only available for lunch service and not evening meals. Service great and decor nicely presented. Food was very underwhelming, especially bland and not very special. Genuinely surprised at such positive reviews which made me excited to try. Duck was very nice, but everything else was average. Declined to take our leftovers to go.

Really good! I come here a lot, good quality food and the waiters are very friendly 🥰 my weekend brunch go to! Make sure you have everyone arrived beforehand otherwise you can’t get a table. Also the managers are super awesome gave use free dessert!

Delicious authentic dim sum with a great service! We have been regulars for over 7 years now and standards have not dropped. If anything, it has got better especially with the recent refurb! The front of house manager and the team continue to do a great job!

My experience been great. I have been in China, in Taiwan. This is better. Not sure how they do sweet and sour chicken but it's one to die for. I was promised a recipe by our attending lady. I will get it!

Kenny the assistant manager was very nice and friendly and made us all feel welcome. We did not book a table, however he made sure we got seated.

The food was lovely - slightly overpriced for the amount you get (£9.50 for six pork and chili dumplings is ridiculous). However, the service here is abysmal. Our group of four were sat next to a family with five children. The children were screaming, running around the table, taking pictures on their tablets and swinging on their chairs. I politely asked the server if she wouldn't mind mentioning something to the children's parents. By the way, I am 24 years old - I wouldn't have minded if the children continued messing around but just on the other side of the table and away from us as they kept knocking into my friend. The server's response was 'no, they go soon' - to which she then walked off. Then! The children were swinging on their chairs and fell on to our table - literally, their chairs fell back and crashed into our table, knocking over our food. The parents of these children said nothing to us and gave no apology - it was disgraceful. Then a server spilt red wine all over our table - that was an accident and the wine was replaced quickly. When the bill came - we asked for the £17.86 service charge to be removed. The old lady who brought us the bill came back to our table and asked 'what was wrong today'? Yikes! Don't bother coming here if you want poor service and overpriced food.

The atmosphere is definitely a highlight – cozy and inviting, with a beautiful view. The service was attentive. As for the food, it was overall decent. The duck was quite good, but the Lotus rice didn’t quite hit the mark. It was fine, but lacked a bit of flavor and seasoning, so I’d recommend trying something else from the menu instead. I am adding a picture but you are really not missing out if you order something else. One thing to note: the staff does offer some items to try, which is a nice touch, but be aware that they are not for free and will be added to your bill in the end.

Always a little chaotic here at the weekend when it’s dim sum service. However, food always very enjoyable and love the opulent decoration.

Latest review- Great ambience. I discovered another great dish: Chinese cured sausage and chicken rice! Fabulous fragrance and lap-cheung. My appetite was invigorated by the sight and smell of the dish. I will have it again the next time here. Coupled with a great view of the Thames and the friendly service of Kenny, today's meal was a wonderful experience. Don't forget the deliciously sweet potato dessert. You can't get that elsewhere. Newer content: Ken and his new staff are cordial and knowledgeable. Combined with the fabulous decor and the wonderful Cantonese dim sum, the ambience is delightful. A must visit restaurant if you love great food. New comment: The decor has been impressive. Very beautiful. Quality of the food is still there. The sad thing is the disappearance of some of the former staff. Old comment: Great service. Great food. Not too spicy. Very fresh. Kenny, Vicky and his staff are friendly and knowledgeable about Cantonese food. Their recommendations are great. It was a delightful experience for me and my 4 friends. I was very impressed. He utilizado la China Real durante muchos años y siempre ha sido excelente. Su ubicación con vistas al Támesis es un bar de vistas. Tristemente eso es todo lo que recomendar. En primer lugar, nos dieron una franja de 1 hora y media que le dice que el servicio estaba en su punto más lento . . ¡Rápido! Ahora se ha convertido más en una competencia de comida rápida. La comida en sí estaba bien ( una nueva presentación de pato era agradable ) pero en general no de la calidad de visitas anteriores. Luego está el proyecto de ley ... Viene con un cargo por servicio, pero cuando llegue a pagarlo, su lector de tarjetas le preguntará el clima que desea dejar una propina. Esto siempre me deja con un mal sabor (al igual que las copiosas cantidades de ajo en la carne de res con chile! ) en cuanto a los no iniciados que va a dar dos propinas. Pero no en... ¡Lo siento! Una institución en Canary Wharf seguro pero no es lo mismo. .

The absolute best Dim Sum outside of central London. Nothing comes close the delicate creativity of the dim sum ... its all about Kenny.... all the staff are brilliant ... it was my birthday and I've been a regular at Royal China Canary Wharf and they made a real effort with singing for me. But let's talk about the food. Their succulent steak fillet with black bean was softer than a jelly fish shaking your hands. The meat was cooked to perfection. The dish was not what I expected it was refined and elegant. And the dim sum menu always brings the best out from the chefs. I am forever grateful

I really enjoyed dinner here on Friday night after coming back to London. Maybe it was the great company of two wonderful friends, and all the dishes were exactly to my liking—very tasty. The soup had a strong white pepper flavor, which I recommend. I'll definitely come back for dim sum next time. I start to feel the beauty of Canary Wharf.

I have been dining here for more than 13 years. It is my go to place whenever I crave for authentic, high quality and delicious Chinese food. The service is impeccable and friendly. I would rate the dim sum here as the best in London. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants a great dining experience.

This is the first time we re-visit Royal China after they refurbished the restaurant. The interior definitely looks much nicer. Menu seems different, but whatever we ordered were all very tasty. We especially liked the lotus rice and the seafood wrap. Staff are polite and helpful. Food served fast.

Cantonese people can’t find fault

I had been to this restaurant since four years ago. The price has risen a lot and the portions have been reduced after it was reopened after renovation, which is undoubtedly very disappointing. Moreover, the waiters treat the guests in a very rude way, often ignoring your needs and walking past, making the guests feel very bad.

Take away, a little bit too salty. Next to pier and pedestrian walk.

I came here 6 years ago and it was average. I revisited recently and it’s poor. It’s so overpriced and portions are quite small. It tastes ok but it’s not worth the amount or price. The decor is amazing and lovely plates and bowls but i couldn’t justify coming to eat at a place like this. I also needed a high chair but it is not for babies (1 yo). The strap had some make shift belt which just didn’t feel safe. In the end we used our own high chair. Overall it’s ok but it’s not somewhere I’d choose to visit again.

We’ve been coming here for more than a decade. They refurbished the restaurant and it’s really nice. Kenny, Vicki and Jenny are all really nice and it’s our favourite Chinese restaurant. Did I mention the great view of the river? I think if I had to pick a dish to try I would say the spicy chicken feet

Best of the best. If you want dim sums which are not available in Chinatown but taste fantastic then this is the place. Not cheap, but you definitely get what you pay for. The soup dumplings (Xiaolong Bao) is a must.

Disappointing Experience at Royal China London I recently dined at Royal China London and unfortunately, the experience left much to be desired. The staff lacked attentiveness and friendliness, which made the entire visit frustrating. When I asked a waitress to take our order, she told us to wait a second and then completely forgot about us. Despite seeing her take orders at other tables, she had to ask her manager to come over and take our order instead. The service issues didn’t stop there. The dishes arrived at staggered times, with the last dish coming out after we were halfway through the meal. It was disorganized and frustrating. The food itself was disappointing — the duck was overly oily, chicken we had was quite raw and the portions were small considering the high prices. What surprised me the most was that throughout our visit, no one seemed to acknowledge us, except for the bartender who thanked us as we were leaving. The rest of the staff just stood there, ignoring us as we walked out. Overall, I won’t be returning. For better food and service, I’d recommend Yiban instead.

We’ve been coming to Royal China for years now. It is a reference for us in London. The first restaurant our son went to when he was few weeks old. We love the food and the service is great

I love the Royal China at Canary Wharf - it’s brilliant!! But sadly they didn’t open the terrace today even though it was a beautiful early September evening!! Really don’t know why!! In the end we went to Gaucho who WERE serving outside - we refuse to be locked inside these precious last days of summer - and we saw a beautiful sunset over the river. So Royal China - you have a brilliant terrace area so please use it!!!

Fantastic and authentic food as always. It was a 45 minute wait to get in at peak time, but it had calmed down by the time we sat down. The food started arriving less than 10 mins after ordering. Everything was so tasty. You have to try the dim sum served between 12-5, which comes in sets of 3. Toilets were clean. Friendly staff

We wanted to treat ourselves to something really good and chose this restaurant because it looked very classy from the outside and that's why we decided in favour of it. Unfortunately! The service was miserable. The waitress just threw the napkins at us, which made us want to get up and leave. If only we had done so. The drinks were not brought on a tray, but with bare hands. Finally, the dessert was also forgotten. The flavour was mediocre. You get better treatment in a pub. £45 per person for a bad experience. NEVER AGAIN!!!

Inicialmente vino aquí porque parecía muy ocupado y tenía una buena ubicación. Tuvimos una espera de 5 minutos para un asiento que no fue un problema y todo parecía estar bien. Los entrantes eran muy agradables (aunque pedimos la comida para juntarse) 5 minutos después llegaron los ‘mains’ y pedí salsa de soja... esto pareció ofenderles profundamente y fue ignorado. La comida estaba bien, pero como dije necesitaba salsa de soja. Realmente no recibí ningún servicio mientras estuvimos allí y ni siquiera podía solicitar un pudín o la factura. Cuando tratamos de pagar en el bar, estábamos a punto de jugar rugby. En general, la comida promedio, pero un servicio deficiente que es una pena. El personal del bar parecía muy educado y amable, pero una pena que el personal de espera no lo era.

The dim sum menu is very limited compared to in the past. We had to wait 20mins at the table before a server could take our order and also just as long to pay the bill. The roast pork puffs are tiny sized, shrinkflation in action. The large plate noodles also only look half filled for £15.80. We won’t be back in soon due to these factors.

Very disappointed my party was not allowed to sit at the outside tables on a hot summer's evening at 6pm Aug 6th. No one was. Why not? The manager said it might get cold! Food was fine and staff were good, but vegetarian options advertised online were not available on the in house menu. Plus, be careful - there is a 15% service charge yet I was asked to add a tip on card payment! Not good.

Very disappointed that on a lovely summer's evening they wouldn't let us sit outside. Why? I was told it would get cold outside. It was 21°, our booking was 6pm on Aug 6th. We booked this restaurant for a treasured sibling reunion because we could sit outside, by the river. Check when you book if the outdoor seating is closed!

Beautiful location right by the river, wonderful people and great food!

Went there for dimsum with my partner,this was our go to place when we crave for dim sum. Unfortunately the quality is becoming so bad now. The dim sum was tasteless and we ordered crab noodles which cost £16 with no crab in it. Might as well just name it noodles instead. What a rip off.!! And service is horrible too,very rude staff and not attentive at all. Avoid this place,might as well bring your money else where to have better service and decent meal. Even frozen dim sum taste better than what we had today. Will not be going back to this place.
