Royal shawarma in Stockport

Best chicken shawarma around. Service is very quick, food is freshly prepared before you and the price is very cheap. Excellent value for money Naan bread is authentic cooked in proper clay oven. Highly recommend. Been going here for years and no complaints what's so ever.

Normally the service is good, food is good. Ordered tonight 12th October, app indicating delivered, called the shop said "it would be delivered in 15 mins", called again after 45 mins, guy can't understand English. 2 hours trying to negotiate my dinner ended up cancelling, they need someone who can communicate when they have issues.

Chicken tasted bland - only a few salad options, chips were not cooked in fresh oil, this place is going down hill. Ginger beard guy rude when asked for more salad. And I’ve found out that their food hygiene rating 2. Not going back!!

Very skinny with toppings more of the fatty dough than toppings won't be going there again

Really nice food - falafels were made fresh, along with the bread they were wrapped in. The sauces and everything else are delicious and the red salt on the chips is great too. As an added bonus it's very fairly priced!

I come here a lot. The owner is really friendly and can't do enough for you. He served us lentil soup whilst we waited. The food was really fresh, great salad choices and really tasty!

Great food with amazing staff, great prices

I don’t know what’s happened but recently the food has been really bad. For some reason the food keeps getting served uncooked! Uncooked donner meat and chicken. The food keeps getting rushed even at times it’s not busy. The pizza sauce leaves a very bitter taste in the mouth, which really doesn’t go well with the cheese or pepperoni. Lastly, they don’t want to listen to your order but instead rush to make an order even if it isn’t right..

Great food for reasonable prices.

We ate Falafel sandwiches which are the best in Manchester. With fresh bread and salad. Also, they are very friendly people and welcoming.

Freshest Food in the area by a long shot. Best taste, excellent quality, super quick service , very good pricing.

Never had a bad meal from here, also quite cheap compared to a lot of other places. Would recommend. 10/10.

This is a really good kebab house. The food is absolutely spot on. It is very reasonably priced. Really fast service too. If your looking for a nice meal without breaking the bank, Royal Shawarma ticks the box.

Food is terrible, drowning in oil, not well seasoned. Salty Margherita pizza that tasted like an indian dish. Lamb shawarma with no salt, little sauces and lot of oil dripping everywhere. I unfortunately tried also some shredded chicken and was dry but still greasy. Only good thing was the bread.

They were out of lamb for the shawarma wrap when i ordered at 8pm, so had two donner kebabs & was given the chips for free which were the tastiest part of the order. The donner meat didn't taste like lamb & was a little dry. Its probably bulked out with chicken to cut costs. The portions are generous & good value overall. Altho i wouldn't say it's anything special, just ok. Delivery was quite quick. 2x Chicken donner wrap £5.00 (Lettuce, Tomato, Onion, Hummus, Chilli) 1x Chips (included free) Subtotal £10.50 (Edit) As of July / August 2023 the chips are not as nice, where before they had a paprika seasoning & were crisp. Now they are plain frozen chips, sweaty & undercooked. Also you get more chicken shawarma filling than you get with a lamb shawarma despite paying more.

Beautiful fresh Samoon bread, literally fresh out the oven as I arrived. Fresh salad, nice sauces and the meat was beautiful, really tasty and well seasoned. Will be visiting again very soon 😁

Heard good things about here. So luckily I was local and camped outside waiting for the shutters to go up at 12. There is street parking on both sides of the road. Ordered 1 chicken schwarma on samoon bread 1 lamb schwarma (4 quid each) and a chicken fataya 4.50 Portions were good bread was bigger than other schwarma places I've tried . Usual salad fresh, crisp, bread warm just out the oven meats lightly spiced ,nice , defiantly give it a try.

If they did 6 stars you'd get it. So good I've reviewed twice. Amazing salad makes it so much better than most alternatives. 2x nann (freshly cooked in the tandoor oven) loads of fresh chicken shawarma. Awesome salad with hummus and chilli. Feed 2 for £6.50 Unbelievably good. 👍🙏
