If I'd read some of the most recent reviews I probably wouldn't have ordered but I'm glad I didn't. My order was delivered well within the time slot expected and the food was lovely. I will order again from here without a doubt

been a customer for 20+ years. always great quality food- past few times food has been a lot spicier than normal. wouldnt stop me ordering i may just request things to be milder.

Half tandoori chicken got as 1/4 quarter 2 piece ,not worth for money.

Ordered from here a few times and food has been really good, but abysmal today. Spent £30 and had to chuck it, it was inedible. Vindaloo was a thick paste, tasted burnt and like chemicals. Rice was like rubber. Very, very poor. Won't order again.

The majority of the food was cold delivery was late and the Pilau rice certainly wasn't pilau.

Even though the flavour was nice in all dishes, I found them unusually dry. There wasn’t enough sauce in the dishes I didn’t think this time.

Food was cold on arrival and did not taste nice at all, and the whole meal smelt of cigarette smoke from the delivery driver especially the poppadoms that were inedible due to this! Would never order again!

Been going to royal spice for years never had a problem went Christmas Day and to be honest wasn’t the best then the service was shocking pop was flat , ordered a takeaway New Year’s Eve my husband went to pick it up , got home all of it was cold the poppadoms was out of a packet and the chicken tikka sizzle I ordered was horrible not what I normally get rang to complain and who ever answered the phone was so rude shouting at me down the phone and just told me to put it in the bin after going there for over 10 years we won’t be going back ever again !

Ordered a takeaway for New Years Eve. I've never tasted anything so awful in my life. The Jalfrezi did not resemble one and the Korma was shocking went in the bin! Will never order again.

Ordered 2 hours ago and still haven’t received my food

delivery 45 mins late, order was cold and chicken was very undercooked with blood.

Very tight with the pickle tray. Ordered two - we got a pot of mango, a pot of onion and a pot of red onion. No raita, no lime . Food was all ok but nothing to really get the taste buds going. Will stick to over the road - only used here due to the 20 percent off Tuesdays

absolutely shocking i ordered my food at 18.01 it is 20.37 and still no food it was meant to be delivered at 19.15 I have rang thr restaurant 67 times and it just rings off I will never ordered from them again.

Shocking, went to collect and got told our order didn’t exist, we showed prove through just eat and still got told no order was made. eventually our order was fulfilled having to a poor standard, will never order again !!!

Terrible time keeping by them. Ordered delivery via just eat. Offered a 35-55 min window, chose later one. Didn’t come for another 45 mins after that. Do not order. Wasting your time.

The starter was good (lamb chops) The curries were ok. The food was hot enough, bit tasteless though, not worth the price I paid.

Not good value at all you would expect either rice or chips with the main plus said delivery was 99 and charged double so pretty cr4p really and the food was less than average too

Always order from here, food is great. We used to get delivery but found sometimes it would go a bit cold by the time it reached ya but that’s probably due to taking a few orders out at once so just get collection now and it’s always really nice. Food is tasty and fresh and decent price too

We have been using The Royal Spice for over 20 years. We do tried other Indian restaurants but always return to our favourite as nothing has ever matched the quality, service and price. The food has never disappointed and its always been hot, flavoursome and tasty. See you soon Zaff and team 😊

The food was hot and delicious. Very good value for money. The delivery was excellent as the driver followed our instructions to get to the correct door. Would highly recommend

Ordered by Uber. Food was freezing. Came very late and to make it worse I found metal wire in the food so ended up chucking it away. Have to be honest and say I feel quite sick at the thought of it now. Never again.

We have been coming here for years and it gets better every time. Without a doubt the best Indian restaurant in the area. The menu offers a wide range of dishes. The paneer tikka starter is exceptional. I always look forward to my next trip to the Royal Spice.

This was the worst Indian I’ve had. Bland curries with tiny cubes of what tasted like frozen chicken pieces, cold Bhajis and a poor excuse for a pickle tray. I had to throw the butter chicken away after one bite. Don’t waste your money.

Delivery on time. Food nice just way too many cumin seeds in the rice. I always order from here and usually it’s fine. Curry lovely just lay off all them seeds in rice next time pkease

Had the buffet 10 Nov 24 . The choice was very dissopinting didn't even taste nice to the point I left my plate we ordered off the menu chicken pakora chicken chat chicken tika masslla garlic nan bread chips etc even that wasn't nice . First and last time we will be going. Sort the toilet seats out. .

Not been for a while. Naan and rice were dry, curry was pretty bland as well

An hr and a half should be fine for a delivery but it was stll 2hrs and completely cold throughout

Half hour late, cold meal,Bhaji I could’ve used them as squash balls, tough n dry, old! Second fail from here won’t order again. Lesson learnt! I’ll not mention the fries 🙄.. poor overall.

Wouldn’t order from here again, not our usual indian but it was £8 off Thursday etc so we thought we’d try.. small portions compared to other Indians and was luke warm… the chips/currys/rice… all luke warm

Took money via Just Eat - Never got the food order, phoned 36 times line busy , no communication.

Very disappointed, curry was actually tasty however was let down by several things.. I ordered a cheese nan and it came just a normal Nan. I ordered a chapatti and I didn’t receive this. Yet I have paid for both items. Chips were hard and could tell they were fried several times. Onion baji very very dry. No salad or sauce with baji or mixed starter. Very very disappointed. This has put me off ordering from here in the future.

We have ordered twice from these muppets and both time we have been extremely disappointed, the only positive i can report is the timing is average, both times no rice twice and no chips (all paid for), the lamb was just fat on the bone, the rest...

Excellent dining experience staff very helpful and friendly food was fantastic 😍 we will be back . They cater for all tastes and nothing is too much trouble they also offer a good range of drinks non alcoholic and alcoholic

Went for Sunday buffet with my partner and my son. Service for drinks was OK, but the food was cold and the quality of the food was Very poor, the chicken in the curries was in tiny little chunks and tasted like it was processed and was barely warm. Starters were all cold. If you aren't bothered about the quality of the food and the fact it was cold, you may enjoy it if all your after is as much food as you can eat for the price.

We have had some tasty food from here in recent weeks/months delivered, piping hot, within time-frame given, by a lovely friendly, courteous guy. Tonight, however, it was dire - the worst element was the uncooked aubergine - almost stone cold delivered over 40 mins late by a pouty unapologetic teenager with a gawping young girl in tow. We will go elsewhere in future.

Food was delivered an hour and 20 mins after ordering and when it arrived, the starters were so soggy they had gone white and the meat in the curry was tough, very disappointed ☹️

Poppadoms were good but that’s it. Took an hour and 40 minutes to come. It was cold. Chicken in korma had gristle. Onion bhajis were doughy and inedible. Won’t be ordering again.

£30 wasted. Half filled carton of rice. Chicken korma was an off white colour - no taste whatsoever. Prawn cocktail had no taste apart from.. water? Ordered and paid for 3 popadoms.. received 1 and a few crumbs. Best part was the garlic naan.

Slightly disappointed with this order. Fries were cold and soggy, and delivery was expected for 19:25. Arrived at 20:35. Called restaurant at 20:00 was told they were extremely busy and my food would be with me in 10-15 minutes maximum.

Best Indian for miles! Have now eaten in about 5 times and had several takeaways delivered to Scissett. Absolutely brilliant, tasty, hot and so much choice, even do GF bhajis so my daughter and friend can enjoy. Introduced to Royal Spice by friends we met on holiday in May and this restaurant has now become a favourite for all our family and friends We will deffo be back soon

The curry was beautiful. One of the rice wasn’t delivered but they sorted this straight away. Would definitely recommend

Ordered a chicken korma and a meat korma. I have no idea what the meat dish was but it wasn't korma. There is no taste of coconut or creamy taste.

Curry tasted Odd to us, Bhajis were limp with mostly fried mixture and very few onions. Not a good curry at all!

Unless you want agonising belly ache day after i wouldnt bother. The korma was dog meat, the meat bhuna was nice tbf, rice was farl, naan bread smelt like a soggy foot n bajis arent even real
