Food is good but made to wait for a couple of pieces of tofu to be cooked when ask just to make up the difference with pumpkin they said it would be a extra £1.50 there staff need to be allowed to make decisions by them selves and be allowed to just make up the difference it’s not unreasonable

Tuvimos una hermosa pizza y ensalada en el nuevo restaurante de pizza auténtica en Durham y nos quedamos muy impresionados. La pizza estaba deliciosa, así como la ensalada y el aceite de chile de cortesía.

Lovely cafe with option to sit in or take away. Great menu, good size portions and excellent value for money. Lovely relaxed atmosphere.

Estoy realmente desconcertado por la cantidad de críticas de cinco estrellas para este restaurante - tal vez no son enemigos de la sucursal de Durham, ya que ese en particular parece que ha sido abierto en un almacén abandonado. Ahora a la experiencia real. El menú es realmente difícil de leer, la limonada casera (alrededor de £ 3. 50 por un vaso pequeño) era en realidad solo R. Whites 29 p por litro de limonada de Lidl (sé hecho en casa de la tienda comprada) , mi esposa y yo pedimos pizza al mismo tiempo, pero cuando trajeron la pizza de mi esposa dijeron: 'La suya es sólo ir en el horno ahora', así que ella tuvo un incómodo 7 minutos comiendo su comida conmigo mirándola fijamente. ¿No estoy seguro de lo que se suponía que debía hacer mientras tanto? ¿Quizás darle a los clientes un sudoku o algo para colorear como una cabaña de pizza? La pizza de mi esposa era insípida y si no fuera por el "queso extra" que pidió, no habría tenido queso. Pedí los tres chapuzones que proporcionan y estos vinieron en tinas pre-empaquetadas. No hay nada malo en esto per se, es una experiencia tan abrumadora. Costó 38 libras por dos pizzas, una bebida y tres chapuzones. Espero algo mucho mejor que esto por el precio. Sinceramente me sorprendería si no tuviera sarna ahora tal era la sombría 'decoración' barata y gafas sucias. Todo esto me hizo desear haber ido a KFC en su lugar y no me gusta KFC. Además, los baños parecían una escena de corte de Silent Hill (ver fotos). La única gracia salvadora es que aún no se han unido a la tendencia de agregar un cargo por servicio injustificado a la factura.

Wow, absolutely terrible, we purchased two dishes, sweet chilli chicken with noodles and spicy chicken with rice. We ordered large portions (just under £10 each) mine was all rice with some sauce and a handful of overcooked dry chicken pieces. My partner had more chicken with her noodles than i did, however couldn’t eat it as the chicken was both chewy and dry. We will never return and overall an utter waste of money, we are now going somewhere else for lunch as still hungry. Told a staff member of the issues, but she just smiled uncomfortably and walked away.

The food was inconsistent with other Kokoros in the UK. The chicken is super dry, cold and hard, very difficult to eat. I got sweet chilli and sweet and sour and didn’t enjoy my meal. The noodles taste cheap and lack flavour. The service wasn’t the best either, the lady serving me seemed to be fed up and not welcoming. Not going back to this one as the chicken wasn’t worth the money. Disappointed that it was so dry and I usually love Kokoro.

Good street food type place. Friendly staff. Good portion sizes. Reasonable prices. Clean. Basic but pleasant.

La mejor pizza que hemos probado en mucho tiempo. Teníamos la margarita y la calabresa, tanto frescas como sabrosas. No podía creer lo grandes que eran también, colgando sobre el borde del plato jajaja. Muy buen servicio eficiente, amable, chicos bien hechos

Incredible sushi, it's such a pity that it is not coeliac safe due to the preparation process, even though the sushi is gluten-free. Wish they would make the sushi coeliac safe, as they'd have a lot more customers. The staff are very friendly here.

I’m a big kokoro fan the only place where i eat asian food , and been to more then 30kokoro branches in uk , by far this is the most tasteless , gross , unhygienic kokoro ever ! The chicken was all black from inside and it’s taste was like plastic i had vomits straight up !

First visit to Kokoro Durham! I love the sushi and Sweet chilli – fresh and tasty. The staff are friendly and welcoming, making it a nice place for a quick, delicious meal. Highly recommend!

I popped in with the kids on a lunch time for a back to school treat - it was absolutely delicious!! The pizzas are huge, I thought we would bring some home, but they were so good we ate everything! Kids had desert too and I had a lovely coffee. Service was great, thank you to our waiter Reece. We will be back!

Too much topping. Soggy base. Go and eat some proper pizza in Italy. Too much on the top equals soggy, uncooked base. Nice atmosphere. Pleasant staff though.

Incredible Asian food. We come here often as it's my ds favourite place in durham. Food is always lovely and the portions are huge for a regular. Always a good range of sushi too

Didn’t taste Asian at all. The Korean spice chicken was barely spicy and the quality of the meat was poor. Friendly staff though.

I like going to Kokoro, there food has much more flavour than other takeaways in Durham, the portions are big too.

Sashimi was thin and tasteless, some of the salmon was slimy. No dates on food. Rice was hard and my doroyaki was frozen in the middle. Complete shambles The katsu was inedible and I wouldn’t feed it to a dog. Go literally anywhere else. Also, is it even Korean? Clueless man who served me had no idea what ingredients were in anything either

Was my favorite takeout place in October 2023. Since then there has been a significant decline in quality of food (sweet chili chicken). Some of it is inedible. The price can still be very good at times.

So tasteless I thought I had Covid. Quite honestly the worst Asian fast food noodle dish I’ve ever had, although I knew I was in trouble when an Asian eatery told me they were “all out of spice” ?!?! They should not be allowed to claim the food to be “fresh”, when food is just microwave heated. Feel for the staff, who were very nice, having to serve this up to the unsuspecting public. Seafood consisted of one lonely crab stick and the soggiest prawns. Oh and the miso soup could quite easily be mistaken for hot water. I’m angry being £20 down with nothing to show for it but hunger for some real Asian food. En route to Ajiwai.

The food, service and atmosphere was fantastic! Ordered my usual chicken katsu with rice and it was as delicious as always! I will always recommend to anybody and can't speak highly enough of the friendly staff.

It was a young Asian female employee, but she made a payment mistake. I tried adding it myself, so it's a shame. If I hadn't, I would have skipped it. It was less than a pound It's true that if you calculated something wrong, you have to redo it, but the business asks if you want anything else. And he didn't seem very sorry. Even when I try to be kinder and smile at soulless words of apology, I look at them with a straight face. After repaying, they looked at me strangely as if they were paying again for less than 1 pound. I ate salmon and chicken katsu, but the salmon tasted like plain water and the chicken katsu didn't have much meat and was tough and dry, so it was hard to eat. Dong's uneducated people are all over the place.. Why are they all so stupid? It's a little annoying because the basics aren't there. ----- When I checked the payment details later, I originally received a partial refund of 1.95 and had to pay 1.15 again, but I had to pay an additional 1.95. It clearly said it was a refund, but it was withdrawn from the bank. I explained the refund issue and the rude staff via official email, but they only gave an insincere response explaining their position and did not make any apology for the staff's response. The boss and the employees.

I always come in here and get the same order. I was having a really rough day, came here, and my usual was sold out. But Bing (I think that’s how her name is spelled) was so kind and helped me choose something new. I’d had a hard day and she was so smiley and friendly I was kind of touched by it in a weird way. I love this place and the staff are great… of course special shoutout to Bing. They also always stuff the bowls full which is nice

Well what can I say, from booking the table for up to 18 at quite short notice, to calling in 2 hours before and letting Ruby's know there will be only 15 of us, the service was absolutely fantastic, the friendliest and professionalism of the staff was amazing and treated our lovely Sue for her 60th birthday was amazing. Have visited Rudy's Manchester a few times, and soo pleased to hear they opened in Durham. Visited with friends and loved everything about the evening. Nice ambiance, polite friendly staff, and absolutely great tasting pizza's back soon !!!

We visited on Friday afternoon, this is my second visit and it was just as amazing as the first time. We were helped by Josh, Reece and Layla and they were amazing, if restaurants can attract staff like this they must be doing something right. Our pizza was amazing and delivered quickly, the Caesar salad was fantastic and the tiramisu gorgeous, and made even better by the service. Thank you so so much for a fab afternoon

Decided to book here after seeing it was dog friendly and it was high up in the TA ratings. Staff were brilliant and they made a big fuss of our little dog bringing water and a little bowl of ham. Ordered a triple pepperoni pizza along with a lovely pint of Rudy’s Pale Ale (so nice I had another one!). The pizza was lovely, light & fluffy (not a thin crust but then it’s Neapolitan), plenty of filling - it did have a sweet edge but that was explained to be the stracciatella & chilli honey so if you’re expecting a spicy pizza, this isn’t it. I then ordered a tiramisu & coffee (purely in the name of research 😁😁) and finished off with a glass of MontePulciano. All the staff were great (I remember Josh & Emma but I’m sorry I didn’t get the name of the third girl who served me). I needed to visit the loo and Emma was more than happy to dog-mind whilst I went - always a problem when you’re travelling solo. I also got talking to the area manager who again was lovely and got a good insight into their operation. The restaurant has an industrial type feel with concrete floors, open kitchen and exposed services. Great value & super staff. Well worth a visit.

When we found out they were in Durham, we were so excited, as NO Pizza shop in the area comes anywhere near for flavour & authenticity! Pizza was ok, nothing to write home about. Service was a let down despite having plenty staff. Booked a table, checked in at the door, server went off to check if our table was ready only to sit us right by the door. Other tables were available. No offer of drinks prior to ordering food. Had to get the attention of staff whilst they chatted for second order of drinks. No offer of clean glasses, empty beer bottles left on table. A number of staff ‘friends’ came in and sat at on the stools beside us. They wandered back and forth and up by where the pizzas were getting the finishing touches, not the most hygienic. Out of at least 8 staff only 5 were working, 3 making pizzas, 1 putting the finishing touches and serving and 1 washing dishes. The 3 girls front of house stood chatting with their arms crossed. On the plus side, no automatic service charge! It’s the first in a long time that we have not left a tip.

Second visit here and it was as lovely as the first! Thank you to Neil and Nicola for being so friendly. The Carni pizza was delicious and very spicy, and the campana was great to share. The portions are big and the staff can't do enough to make you feel welcome.

If you want a great pizza in a chilled environment this is the place ! Durham has needed a pizzeria just like this for such a long time, it’s in the old part of Durham which is how it should be. The pizza was so authentic,excellent ingredients and as I am Italian I know a good pizza ! Excellent value for money, the red wine was excellent and not over charged like most places for wine. I really need to say a huge shout out to our fantastic waitress Layla .... she was so good and very switched on, she was aware of every table and at what stage they where at in there meal, knowledgeable and just really lovely. Please please make sure you look after her she is your best asset and far better than any other member of your floor staff at Durham. We will definitely be back to see Layla and have a great pizza !😀

I love Rudy's pizza. Since joining Durham, for me, this has outperformed many other restaurants/ pizza places (Pizza Express, Ask Italian, for example). I cannot fault Rudy's for impeccable service, pizza, value for money, etc. I would highly recommend a visit to Rudy's for a proper Pizza! Keep up the hard work, Rudy's!

It's so terrible!!! This is my first time to purchase food there, She is not nice with bad attitude. Also i asked the noodles!! She gave me rice... So weird, She repeated the noodle, then when i arrived at home, i found it is rice.....one bowel of rice is 7.5pounds....with two prawns...

Proper pizza. Great atmosphere created by the most amazing service team. Great food delivered by really committed people from the open kitchen to the table = a lovely night. Oh and the wine was lovely too. No service was automatically added which is refreshing but we had no problem generously tipping given our experience. The way it should be !

We came for dinner on a busy Sunday night and the staff were absolutely wonderful. Particularly the hostess (I believe called Alexandra) who was so helpful and kind to us. The food and drinks were also delicious, including the desserts. Am excited to return to Rudy’s soon!

I visited today for some curry, which was great, as always. However, after a while, the staff wedged the door wide open despite it being 4 degrees outside. This, of course, led to it immediately becoming freezing.

I do enjoy the food here. However, the staff propping the door open and making it freezing cold inside was rather distasteful. Of course, everyone left. But it felt INTENTIONAL. Hire better staff.

Loved this place. Very clean, loads of choice and a great atmosphere. I ordered the Tofu Katsu with rice. Choice of cutlery, chopsticks or wooden forks if you're not sure how to go on with the sticks. Food was great. Got a window seat to people watch. The choice of sushi is endless, plus it's all freshly made, so if it's not on the fridge shelf, just ask and they'll make you one. Honestly, forget Gregg's or maccies. Go here.

The food tastes weird. After several visits, I've decided I won't come back. I don't like the noodles. The rice is bland. The chicken katsu cold item they sell tastes like vinegar.

I always order on Deliveroo and the food always comes hot, with huge portions. I went into the shop the other day, and the staff were just so lovely and helpful. Amazing veggie and vegan options, tasty food!

Worst service ever. After waiting for 5 mins to be served, a white male staff just ignored me and served ppl coming after me. When I pointed it out, he apologised in a rude and impatient way.

Genuinely the best food I’ve had in Durham. The sushi is so well priced and super good and the chicken katsu curry and the sweet and sour sauce! We ordered a few things and I can’t fault it. Would def recommend and it’s such a good location. Amazing food which you can take away super quickly. Thank you!! The staff were so lovely as well and filled the pots to the top! This is by far one of the best sushi places I've visited. The staff are also really friendly & clean on multiple occasions I saw them clean down the tables & countertops throughout the restaurant area & kitchen they we're also wearing plastic aprons & gloves and took great care when preparing the food I was really happy to see the level of care that they was providing. Will always visits ever time I pass through Durham. Thank you for your fantastic food friendly service & great hygiene 10/10

I visited branches in london previously and thought I could rely on the Kokoro here. I was wrong. Where in london this bulgogi is much larger in portion and much more tender, seasoned and flavourful, I literally saw the staff pour a jug of water on the bulgogi before serving my order here. It tastes bland and flavourless, and the texture is tough and rubbery. It is literally just plain boiled beef and rice, and I could do a much better job at home. Complete waste of money.

The food can have quality fluctuation, but is pretty good for quick eats. I enjoy the tempura shrimp, sushi, and the Chicken Katsu Curry. Hits the spot when I want Japanese done quick. I probably eat there twice a month.

Good quality neta/sashimi, but literally the worst shari. It was really soggy with no flavour. Seriously bad..
