Real good carvery. Very well run & organised.

Such a nice environment with It's staff, most particularly "Terron".

Part of a large party for a pre-Christmas meal. Excellent food, well presented and well organised especially as we were a fairly large group. Would definitely recommend for informal group events.

Best carvery anywhere near and closest to home cooked. Great variety of vegetables to complement a choice of three delicious meats.

This pub serves the most delicious and abundant carvery. Choice of three meats plus stuffing, Yorkshire puddings, roasties cooked to perfection and a great choice of vegetables. Great choice of desert too sometimes including a home made cheesecake that is incomparable Nothing too much trouble for the lovely friendly staff in here And all at a very reasonable price too.

Food was amazing, potatoes was crispy but fluffy inside, good selection of vegetables and meat was cooked perfectly, gravy was spot on, highly recommend

Carvery not to bad. Good view over the river. Yorkshire pudding is the smallest I've ever seen and they can't slice Turkey apart from that very good. Waitress very good. Value good

Went to a wedding reception here, traditional pub, nice atmosphere and lovely views of the river Thames.

Watched the england game in here last week. Fun little raffle to join in. And then they brought food out just after half time. Food to go with the football. Not many pubs do that. The atmosphere was electric. The beers are cold and the staff are soo friendly and helpful. Fantastic pub to go into. Definitely be going back 👌

A traditional old style London pub. The staff were great, so friendly and helpful The locals the same. The beer was good The carvery was good traditional English Sunday lunch carvery. I only gave it a 3 because I don't want people to think it Michellin standard. However the service was as friendly and helpful as a top restaurant

Excellent food fresh, tasty and hot with an excellent choice. Only concern is that it has spoilt us for other carveries, I’ve never had better and the homemade cheesecake for dessert is ecstasy in the mouth. Staff are great combining efficiency with friendliness Excellent value for money too. Can’t keep us away

Been drinking in the pub for a couple of years never tried the carvery before, should have tried it 2 years ago. Couldn't fault it. Would highly recommend it.

Nice little gem to find. Girlfriend wanted a Sunday roast but wouldn’t go back to Toby Carvery after bad experience. The low rating I feel isn’t fair. Staff were friendly, service was good, the food was amazingly fresh home cooked. Added bonus; love old pubs with history and character. Defo go back

Brilliant little find. Saw reviews on bexleyheath news and gossip and thought I'd try. Lovely restaurant upstairs. Waitresses bring you drinks. You get called up to get your food so there's a structure with the queue. Absolutely fantastic food. Had steak n kiddie pie, cauliflower cheese, crispy cooked roasties, sprouts and York pud. So filling couldn't finish it all.

Great place, wonderful staff. Couldn't do more to make our function perfect.

Fantastic Carvery- you cannot beat the Running Horses for value and quality. Turkey and gammon for me yesterday both delicious. Always busy and full of regulars. Book to avoid disappointment. Guinness decent too!

Bean for Sunday lunch on several weekends, had a great time. The meal was lovely and at£12.50 a head very hood value, need to book your table in advance.

Great pub with a function room upstairs that is straight out of the 70s but in a good and attractive way. The staff could not have been any more helpful and even ran downstairs for any drinks they didn't have in the upstairs bar. A lovely night in a lovely pub. Many thanks to all.

Sunday roast is as fabulous as it's always been. Very well run business and great staff. The new owners are really pushing the boat out to improve the pub but by keeping it's authentic look.

Lovely patron, friendly staff and wonderful customers with a open community spirit. Thoroughly enjoyed our time there listening to Suspiciously Elvis. Fabulous afternoon spent drinking in the sun.

After a long walk along the River Thames to Plumstead and back, we cooled down with a few beers here. We sat outside in the sun, dog was sheltered in the pod. Friendly staff and locals. Be back soon

Hired the small bar for a private function, and really pleased I did. Excellent buffet and friendly bar staff. Would definately recommend and look forward to using them again!

Staff were all polite and nice had a nice little saloon bar only thing i would say is when you have a function on in there is dont let randoms walk in to use the toilets and the lemonade had gone i had vodka lemonade and lime and could not drink it but all other drinks were fine the buffet was brilliant loved the meat flower had a nice selection of foods

Great landlord and landlady, the carvery on a Sunday is without a doubt the best in the area by far. The staff are friendly and always smiling and laughing. By far the only pub worth visiting in the area

Only went into the public bar as drinking outside. But it was clean and staff were very nice. Plenty of parking back of pub. Will go back again

Absolutely dreadful place - beer tasted like soap and staff had a positively bovine temperament. They also enforce an illegal policy by asking people to disclose their medical history. Avoid unless you want bad beer and service attitude similar to the USSR's bureaucracy.

Lovely friendly pub, very welcoming after a long cycle along the Thames from East London, lucky to have been able to get a table outside for 5 in the sun, without booking, nice Guinness. We were a bit late for lunch options - our fault, but no veggie option for veggies amongst us - except chips, mind you quite nice chips!

Very nice old skool clean down to earth pub

Only stayed for one drink but Guinness was great. Cost £9 for two drinks and paid on card. They intentionally charged me £10 and gave me a pound coin back out of the till which was a bit weird.

Great experience. Gonna comeback there again.

I was with friends I'm from Liverpool nice to have a booth for a few hrs ever n tho we never booked one but had a great time

Very friendly helpful staff had a nice meal. Even though they wasn't doing meals yet because of lockdown. But they happily accommodated us with a meal 😋 we sat outside in a nice warm pod thank you 😊

Good food excellent carvery good drinks. Reasonable price too. Friendly staff and good position for a walk along the riverfront.
