The only disappointment was that the lobster, Which is the most expensive mane on the menu, was a bit tough and chewy which was a shame because. everything else was excellent

Went here for our anniversary dinner..lovely ambience and attentive friendly service..the star of the menu was the piquant drunken udon noodles..thai green chicken curry was flavourful..chicken satay was moist and perfect for a starter..however the veg tempura lacked salt and seasoning..the cocktails were a let down too sweet and no character..go for the Singha pint or wine menu instead

Delightful Dining Experience at Sabai Sabai, Harborne Today, I had the pleasure of dining at Subai Subai in Harborne, and it was a fantastic experience. For drinks, I ordered a Diet Coke, while my wife enjoyed a Lychee Martini, which she absolutely loved. We started with the full platter, featuring scallops, prawns, squid, and fish cakes. The presentation was beautiful, and everything tasted fresh and delicious. For mains, we had the Chicken Massaman Curry with sticky rice. The curry was rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced, making it a standout dish. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was excellent throughout our visit. I can’t wait to return and explore more of the menu. Highly recommended!

I’ve been to both the Harborne and Birmingham City Centre branch on multiple occasions. The staff are lovely and the food and drinks are always amazing! A special thanks to Vinay who always goes out of his way to make our experience at Sabai Sabai enjoyable!!

First visit here while on a business trip. Very clean and tidy with nice decor. Food was knockout although slightly slow on service but didn’t spoil anything. Overall a nice evening with excellent food.

I'm shocked to state the online booking table you have to give your card details & £10 charge if you're late. Topping it up 1. 50 minutes/ 2 hours to finish your meal ! Differently not worth the demand and statues for a customer.

Food was amazing. We were in a large group and everyone's food came out in good time and temperature. Did ask for the service charge to be taken off but was declined and due to the amount it was quite a lot, would have preferred to leave a tip for the actual waiter we had, he was very good.

Had dinner here with my partner recently and was really impressed! Special shout-out to the maître d' who saved our evening when I messed up and booked the wrong restaurant. He sorted everything out for us without any fuss – such great service. The food was fantastic – everything we tried hit the spot. The whole vibe was spot-on, and all the staff were friendly and helpful. If you're thinking about trying this place, definitely go for it – you won't regret it!

I am very disappointed with our experience here. Although food was nice the service was awful. We wanted to order the set menu and change one of the dishes as we don’t like prawns but they refused. As it is so expensive here I think that is unacceptable. We also wanted to take some of the uneaten food away with us. They place cartons of the table for us to do it ourselves. And they charged us for the cartons! What a rip off! Service charge was a lot. It certainly isn’t service with a smile. Don’t waste your time going here, disgraceful!

Had the chicken soba noodles which was flavourful with a lovely kick to it. Service was very friendly and attentive.

Too much oil in garlic fried rice, looked as if the rice is soaked in oil which is very unhealthy. Curries are ok.

Had a disappointing meal here. Starters came out before drinks, and the spring rolls and prawn crackers tasted off, maybe old oil? The waitress tried to clear plates while we were still eating starters, and the Thai Green Curry didn’t taste right either. If you're looking for better Thai food nearby, check out Giggling Squid around the corner—much better experience!

Went here a long long time back and it was great. Went again on 17.07.24 and the food was as good as or better than it was last time. The 35.99 per person at menu was more than enough for 8 of us and everything was excellent.

Good food but I’d expect bottled soft drinks - not from the draught

amazing food and all out great service. Their thai green curry was a show stopper, their tom yum soup was aromatic and tangy, and satay chicken cooked to perfection. 100% recommend this restaurant for a night out with friends and family.

Food In this quality, & rice like it in take away rice 🍚!! Sorry but I expected better quality of food, & not 2 soups with rice, 50£!! Friday 19th July, 33 of us descended on Sabai Sabai Harborne. Fortunately they knew we were coming as there had been much emailing to ensure everything was just right for my husband's 60th birthday meal. Alex and the team were amazing, as was the service throughout the evening and the food was just as wonderful. Everyone from our party has commented on the evening and they are still talking about it. I cannot thank Alex and the team enough for looking after us so well and you'll be seeing many of us again... maybe not all at once. 😉 Thank you from us all. Patricia.

One of the best restaurants in the area, really on my Top 5 and I have been in the area for the last 1,5 year visting a lot of different places. Absolutely TOP. I will be back. Thanks Mo for the great service.

Pear was really attentive and the food was lovely !

Booked through fork was an offer with 30% off restaurant clearly knew about the offers but never mentioned it once. We ordered a set menu which the manager said was not part of the 30%. When we mentioned it saying we were not informed he rudely said not my job to tell you!! Now I remember why I prefer giggling squid

Celebrated my niece's graduation on Saturday. The staff were very accommodating, food was lovely and the restaurant had a great vibe. Thank you to all the staff for making our meal a memorable event. Highly recommend this restaurant.

This Thai restaurant in Birmingham was recommended by a friend. Although I'm not a big fan of Thai cuisine, I went to try it with friends. During our dinner, after we finished ordering, the waiter was careless and didn't do a final check with us. After urging and waiting for a long time, when the food was served, not only was my drink forgotten, but my main dish was also missed. This made me just watch my friends eat, which was extremely embarrassing. Moreover, the waiter didn't apologize with a good attitude, making me feel offended. The service experience was very poor. Even though the food tasted alright, in such a bad mood, even the tastiest food would seem unappetizing.

We came here to celebrate Father’s Day. The meal was definitely exquisite!! We enjoyed everything we ate. The iced tea is my favourite! The service was good and quick. The team were really accommodating. The place was really clean and tidy. It’s a nice place to treat yourself and the family for a nice and hearty meal.

Excellent place for Thai food. They do a 25% discount between 5 PM to 6:30 PM and have a good kids menu if you order before 6 PM. Good place for a nicer family meal. Particularly recommend the Drunken Noodles and the Tom Yam Soup.

Food was great, sea bass was beautiful which was recommended by our server Zainab, she was absolutely brilliant!!!!! Polite, patient and really funny!!!

Sabai Sabai is a family favourite so we popped along with a booking and enjoyed the father’s day lunch together. We were greeted with respect and seated in a sunny spot. Pear was our waitress was so lovely and laughed along with us and our dry humour. After our drinks orders, We decided on set menu A and sweet n sour prawns with garlic rice. We didn’t even take pictures this time. We devoured everything we could and boxed the rest. Dad was full and happy and we rolled out of there content. The flavours and taste of each dish is phenomenal and individual. We mmm and aaah with delight at every morsel. Prawns, chicken, rice, starter set all satisfying. Book and eat we say!!

Sabai Sabai has consistently provided excellent meals with excellent service. Rouful kept us in high spirits throughout our visit. A special mention for the Thai green curry which keeps on brining me back, it’s hands down the best I’ve ever had, and trust me, I’ve had a lot! The blend of spices, the rich coconut milk, and the perfectly cooked vegetables create a harmonious symphony of flavours that is simply unmatched. Each spoonful took me straight to the heart of Thailand, well more of a dream of Thailand as I’ve not actually been.

Ordered the holy basil stir fry and the udon noodles and chicken satay and some coconut rice. Everything was lush, amazing flavours, really lovely aromas, chicken was so tender and it always is. Veggies in the dishes tasted fresh. Chicken and duck is halal. Service was excellent. Best Thai place in Birmingham. Only thing is the holy basil wasn’t as saucy as the three times I’ve ordered it before, and there wasn’t much to drench the rice with.
